was so unexpected and overwhelming that
their parents couldn’t help agreeing.
“It’s true! Now is the time for friendship!”
At that moment, fireworks exploded
above their heads, filling the Seville sky with
a thousand sparks of color.
From
now
on,
we
are
friends!
No

Hooray!
Julieta looked on with a joyful heart as her
family members hugged one another.
Suddenly, she heard a deep squeak saying
her name. She didn’t need to turn around to
know who it was: Carlos, her old friend.
“Julieta . . . I’m back,” he began. “Before
you say anything, I’d like to explain that I
left
because I didn’t have enough courage.
I didn’t have the courage to follow our
dreams
. But today I am here, and if
you would like, we can begin our dreams
together again!” He pawed her a bunch of
red roses.
Then he pulled a folded piece of paper out
of his pocket. “I composed this song for you.
There’s nothing I want more in the world
DREAM WITH ME
than to see you twirling to its notes!
Would you do me the honor?”
Confused, Julieta clutched the roses to her
chest. This rodent had broken her heart
when he
fled
. And now, after years, he
had reappeared out of nowhere. How
could she trust him?
Without another squeak, Carlos picked up
his guitar and played a sweet chord.
“Carlos . . . you never wanted to sing
because you were so shy!” Julieta murmured
to herself. “I never knew that. . . .”
Then, his squeak full of emotion, Carlos
began a heartfelt song:
“My dearest love,
My greatest mistake was leaving you.
But now I have learned,
I have grown,
And I have found the courage
To follow my dreams.
So I ask you:
Will you dream with me?”
Julieta’s eyes were SHINING with tears.
Without thinking, she pawed the roses to
Paulina and took Carlos’s paws. “I’m ready
to start dreaming with you!” she murmured.
“AT LAST, Julieta and Carlos are reunited,
too!” Pam said.
“True love never disappears . . . and it
conquers every obstacle!” Colette added.
Just then, Joaquin offered her his paw.
“Colette, would you give me the honor of a
dance?”
Under the sparkling lights of the city
festival, the two young rodents leaped onstage
and began to dance the flamenco.
“What a marvemouse night . . .” Nicky
whispered.

Paulina smiled and sniffed the

night with sweet friends!”
