Five Star Seduction

“I want to thank you for marrying me today,” Tyrese told her as they danced. “I know that we still have to talk this out, but I am grateful that you chose to go through with the wedding.”

“You have never given up on me,” she said. “I was not about to give up on you, Tyrese. We are definitely going to discuss Kennedy and all that’s happened, but it won’t be tonight. I will not allow her to take that away from me.”

“We are going to have a paternity test,” he said. “If he is my son, then we will have to put a joint-custody agreement in place.”

“Whatever happens, we are in this together,” Zaire stated.

  “You are definitely that girl.”

“I love you, Tyrese. That will never change.” She gave him a grin. “I guess that makes you that guy.”

Three weeks later, Tyrese walked into Zaire’s office waving a gold-colored envelope. “The results are here. We’ll know for sure if Matt is my child.”

Zaire held her breath as she waited for him to open the envelope. She was mentally prepared for Matt to be her stepson, but she dreaded having to deal with Kennedy on a regular basis. The woman was very intrusive and had already made demands. She wanted a house in Los Angeles so that Matt could be near Tyrese, and she had requested an ungodly amount of child support.

Zaire was pretty sure that Kennedy was motivated by money, but she kept her opinion to herself.

“He’s not my son,” Tyrese announced.

“Are you okay?” Zaire inquired. He looked disappointed.

“I’m fine,” he responded. “I just don’t understand why Kennedy lied about something like this. She had to know that I would find out. I feel like I’ve never really known her.”

“Maybe she didn’t know,” Zaire suggested. “It’s possible that you weren’t the only man she was seeing back then.”

Zaire walked around her desk to stand in front of him. “I’m sorry,” she whispered.

  “For what?”

“I’m sorry that Matt isn’t your son. I think you wanted him to be. I’ve seen the way you look at our nieces and nephews. You want to be a father.”

“I was thinking about how confused that little boy must be by all of Kennedy’s lies. He deserves the truth about his father,” Tyrese said. “Yes, I want to be a father one day. But we just got married, and I want to enjoy us before we bring children into the world.”

  “Really?”

  He nodded.

“I’m glad you feel this way because I was thinking along those same lines,” Zaire confessed.

Tyrese’s eyes dropped down to the envelope in his hand. “I guess we should do this face-to-face. I can’t wait to hear how she explains this.”

“Honey, we just have to forgive her and move on,” Zaire advised. “Hopefully, Kennedy will find Matt’s father and the two of them can figure out something. This has nothing else to do with us.”

He kissed her. “Let’s get this over with and then we can head home.”

Zaire looked him in the eyes. “Why are you in such a hurry to go home?”

“I have a little five-star seduction in mind. First, I plan to—” He leaned down and whispered in her ear. “Then I’m going to...”

Zaire took the keys from Tyrese and said, “I’ll drive.”

His laughter echoed down the hallway.
