I needed to write two charity novellas (Feral Magic and The Hellhound’s Legion) and start Seeker from the beginning. It’s been hard as shit. I’ve had days where all I can do is sleep or stare at the ceiling and that’s when I have help looking after the kids! Needless to say, it’s taken me longer than I had hoped to get this “first” book finished, but I desperately didn’t want to produce sub-par work so I took my time.
Thanks to the unwavering encouragement of my author friends, the impressive patience and understanding of my readers, and the incredible support of my talented editors, I’m really happy with the way this has turned out! It’s a milestone. It’s the first full length novel I have completed with two kids in the house, and with that comes a crazy sense of accomplishment. If I can do that, I can do anything right? Except like… climbing mountains or whatever. I’m too lazy for that. I bet they wouldn’t serve wine and coffee at the Everest summit either.
You catch my drift. So, while I know you’re sitting there seething and calling me names for what just happened to Rybet and her princes… I’m grinning like a madwoman! Did that help? Yeah, probably not.
Stick with me, readers. Everything happens for a reason
