I knew plenty of females who got out there and did a little slanging, but I didn't know too many who'd touched the amount of weight that I had in the trunk. This was enough to put me under the jail for the rest of my life, and I hoped that both transactions were smooth and without any problems.

I was so fucking nervous. The heat along with the pressure I felt was doing damage to my underarms and back. I had so much sweat dripping down my body that it was creating a puddle beneath me in the seat.

I leaned over and turned the A/C up to the max to allow more of the cool air to circulate through the car. Just as I felt my body cooling down and some of the nervousness leaving me, I spotted the headlights pulling through the lot. I took in a deep breath, turned the engine off, and got out of the car.

Jamir pulled up next to my car and quickly got out and walked over to me. He didn't have anything in his hands, and I didn't know if this was normal practice. Like, where was the money? Shouldn't he have the money with him? I suddenly felt uneasy about this and now wanted to get back in the car to leave.

"What's up? So, how is Tamar doing? I've been trying to get in contact with him."

So have you and everybody else. Including me; I thought to myself but of course didn't say it aloud. "He's doing better. Just taking it one day at a time. He wanted me to get rid of this for him, so he didn't have to worry about it," I lied.

"So, what is he retiring? He done? What's going on?" Jamir asked as he looked over at the Chrysler 300.

"No, he's not done. He's just taking a little break until he gets his health in order. He didn't want to just have this sitting around. But where is the money?"

"I got it in the car, but I do wanna see what you got?"

"Come on don't try to play me. Let me see the money. I'm quite sure if I had been Tamar then you wouldn't have come at him like this. Where is the money?"

  "A'ight," Jamir said.

He walked over to his car and pulled the door open and reached inside and pulled out a huge duffle bag. He walked over to my car and sat the bag on top.

Damn, am I supposed to count it? What the hell I'm supposed to do next? Wait, I don't even know how much I'm supposed to sell each one of them for? Fuck!

"So, how much does Tamar normally sell them to you for?" I asked with a shrug of my shoulders.

"I wasn't working with Tamar like this. We normally would break them down and set up the traps like that. How much did he say he wanted for each one?"

"He just told me to get rid of them?"

"How many do you have on you? It's like two hundred and fifty thousand. That's everything that I had left to my name. They normally go for eight a piece."

"Eight what?" I asked clueless as to what he meant by that.

I felt like such a fucking blond dumb bitch right now. This was the type of shit I should've known before I came out here, and Kevin and I didn't even talk about this part before I left Miami. We were so busy trying to find people to buy it off of me that we never discussed this. I felt like I needed to call him and make sure that I was doing this right.

Jamir laughed, "Eight thousand dollars ma'. When he sells a brick to one of his people that cops from him, he normally let them go for eight racks. I'll give you ten for them though since I know you all got other shit to worry about."

"Okay, so this is a quarter million? Then you want to get 25? Damn, I thought you would want to get more than that. Fuck," I cursed mad that this nigga wasted my time with only getting twenty five of them. How the hell was I gonna make the two and a half mil that Rico wanted if he was buying such a low number?

"Well if you give me a couple of days, I'll hit you back to get some more from you. I don't have that kind of paper sitting around, and I need a little time to get it together. Give me like a day or two and I'll hit you up for more."

"Okay, that's cool. Cause I really need to get rid of all of them."

Jamir nodded and I took the heavy duffle bag and placed it inside of my car. I reached down and popped the trunk, and we both went to where the bricks were heavily wrapped with something that Kevin added to throw off the scent and then tied down with heavy Saran wrap.

I watched and carefully counted as Jamir removed a total of twenty-five from the trunk and placed them into the trunk of his car. I let him know that I would be waiting for his call, but I did let him know that he needed to jump on it because someone else was looking to purchase some from me as early as tomorrow.

  ***

The following evening, I was in my car and headed to the place where I was supposed to meet up with the guy named Chino. Part of me wanted to turn around and go back home and say fuck this shit all together. This was not for me in any way, shape, or form. I had kids to live for and putting my life on the line like this was not what's up.

I had received a call earlier today from some guy that does business with Tamar out here in Dallas stating that he was aware of the deal that I had set up with Chino. He warned me that Chino had planned to rob me for the kilos and possibly kill me when it was all said and done.

I damn near shit myself when he relayed that information to me because I was only trying to do what was right for my family. Preventing harm from coming our way from Rico was now bringing a threat from another direction.

I needed Tamar to be home like yesterday. None of this would be happening, and I could be the naïve little wife and mother that I had been all these years. People talked shit about me knowing nothing, but damn it I think I liked it better that way. Leave my ass in the dark, Tamar could have this shit.

I pulled into the parking lot in a champagne colored Infiniti that I switched the Chrysler out for. I didn't want to be riding around dirty in the same car and cause any unwanted attention to myself. Killing the lights and engine on the ride, I reached over to open the door, and let out a huge breath before placing my stilettos onto the pavement.

I spotted Imran and another guy that I wasn't too familiar with waiting for me. They were meeting me here because apparently Imran had some type of vendetta with this guy Chino and had been looking for him. I was only here to serve as a pawn.

Unfortunately for me, I came across this muthafucka Chino, and I was just a means to a come up for him. In a sense, I was lucky because if Imran hadn't been looking for him, I most likely would be dead tonight and my kids would be without a mother and a father.

“So, y’all sure this nigga said he was gonna rob me?” I asked and watched as Imran lustfully looked me up and down. After running his eyes over the tight fitting black dress I was wearing, he brought his eyes to mine.

Yep, I was dressed to kill in my sexy black dress and stilettos. Hell I had seen women in the movies dressed to the nines when they were handling shit like this and figured I would do the same.

“This my uncle B.B., I don’t know if you met him before and yea that’s what we’ve been told. I mean; we don’t know for sure, but like I said whether he is or not that nigga won’t be making it out of here alive. So you’ll either get your money and keep them birds, or you’ll just leave with the same thing you came with,” Imran said, and I could see him struggling to keep his eyes on my face.

I crossed my arms over my chest and glared at Imran. “I don’t know how I feel about this. This was a dude that a longtime friend of mine put me in contact with. She vouched hard for him, so I really hope he ain’t on no bullshit.”

“Well, what did your husband say about it?” Imran asked me, and I rolled my eyes and looked towards the ground.

I didn't really want him knowing that I was out here alone and on my own on this. That was the reason why nobody in Miami wanted to deal with me because they felt as if I was stealing from Tamar or trying to set him up since they hadn't been able to get in contact with him.

“Let’s go inside. I don’t want to be standing out here waiting around like this. I’m sure he’s somewhere watching. If he was smart, he would be somewhere watching," I said knowing that from the movies too.

  Imran nodded h
is head and followed behind me as I took them into a small building that I rented out a while back. At first I wanted to use it for my shop, but realized that it was too small to serve for the purpose of what I had envisioned.

“I thought that dude Black was gonna be with you,” B.B. said as he began to walk around the inside of the building.

“He’s here. I can’t tell you where because I have no idea, but he’s around,” I lied again and took a seat around the old wooden desk.

Black better not had been around. Rico ordered him to stay away from his business, and that's what he better had been doing. I couldn't risk Rico telling me he wasn't taking my money after all this work I had done.

I had a feeling he would try some shit like that being I wouldn't give his ass a week and some pussy. I looked over at Imran and B.B. and tried my hardest not to show how the fuck pressed I was. My knees were shaking as I rocked back and forth in my chair. I had so much to lose and didn't want to die here tonight.

“Where the work at?” Imran questioned as he looked around.

“That’s here, as well. Look, stop asking me so many questions. You’re making me nervous, and I’m already nervous enough each time I do this. So I need you to calm down,” I said. “Y’all walking around with these big ass guns like you part of some damn army or something. Just calm down.”

I looked down at my phone and then back up at Imran. “It’s 8:30, so if he doesn’t show up in the next ten minutes. I’m leaving.”

Imran nodded his head and walked out of the area I was in and followed behind B.B. as they searched through the building. I held my head down and said a quick prayer that I made it back safely to my babies tonight.

I pictured all of their faces in my head—even little Trina. She had grown on me, and I was starting to see her as my own each day that I spent with her. I didn't know what was going to happen when her mom Kari was released from prison, but I hoped that she just went her way and left Trina where she was.

Trina was a happy baby and a few years from now she would think that I was her mom. I would hate for Kari to try and come and take her away causing all kinds of confusion and problems in Trina's life.

We already had that problem with Shanya when my sister wanted to take that bullshit route, but thankfully things worked out the way it did, and she was able to live with Tamar's mother.

I didn't think I would be able to handle all of these kids, but I swear they gave me life. Each day I woke up was for them. They made me want to grind every day and make them proud of me. I had to come on top when this was all said and done.

“Aye, let’s go!" I heard from over my shoulder. I looked up to see Imran and B.B. treading quickly from the back room.

“What you mean let’s go? That nigga ain’t here yet,” Imran said with a confused look on his face.

“Dom just called and said he heard from somebody that they setting this damn girl up. He said the place is most likely surrounded by DEA and the FEDs,” B.B. said.

I looked at him like he was crazy. These niggas were more than tripping. First they said I was getting robbed now they saying it's the FEDS or the DEA. Maybe they were up to no good and was trying to make me think that Chino was.

Starr would never hook me up with somebody so shady—at least I didn't think that she would. I didn't know what was going on, but I felt the need to test them and see where they head was really at.

"Rozalyn, let's go!" Imran yelled and came over to me.

“Nah, I said I will give him ten minutes,” I said nonchalantly. "I need to get these bricks off and get my money. I didn't have time for this shit here, so whatever the fuck y'all on, y'all can kill that shit."

“Look my bro just told me this whole shit is a set up and that the place is surrounded by the law. Let’s go lil mama. Like you said that nigga is here somewhere and he most likely watching from a distance. I know your pretty ass don't wanna be sitting in a cell for the rest of your life,” B.B. said as he grabbed my shoulder and pulled me towards the door. “Let’s go.”

Soon as Imran pulled the door open, he was staring down the barrel of a gun. It was Chino. Starr had sent me his picture this morning, so I knew exactly what he looked like. I guess Imran had been right about him wanting to rob me. I just couldn't believe it though.

Starr had put in a good word for him, and now it made me wonder if she knew this was going to happen. We had supposedly squashed any beef we had a little while ago, and I thought we were on good terms, but now I wasn't so sure.

Didn't she know I had kids to live for? Did she not care that the nigga was gonna take the dope and most likely kill me afterwards? The issue she had with me was not even this damn serious. I wasn't the one that pulled the trigger that killed Keylan and I damn sure wasn't the one that told Brandon to do it. She didn't have to do me like this. This shit here was beyond dirty.

“Drop it, nigga,” Chino said to Imran referring to the big ass gun that Imran held by his side.

“I ain’t dropping shit,” Imran told him and I could hear B.B. cocking his pistol behind me. Shit was about to get real, and I was right in the middle unsure of what the fuck to do.

From behind me, I could hear footsteps coming from the back of the building. I looked over my shoulder to see some big ass muscular guy with a gun pointed to some dude's head. I don't know where the fuck either of them came from. I shook my head and tried to be strong. I tried my hardest not to cry and show any of the fear that I was feeling.

“I said drop it!” Chino yelled as he shoved the gun into Imran's face.

Before I could even blink, say a quick prayer, or anything, bullets suddenly started flying through the air. I watched as Imran swung his chopper around and knocked Chino in the face.

He pushed me, and I fell face first to the floor. I crawled as quickly as I could and hid behind the wooden desk. It was some heavy, thick and old wood, and I just hoped that it would keep me protected.

  Tat-ta-tat-tat tat!

The shots sounded like the Fourth of July parade I visited last year. The shit was so fuckin' loud that it seemed like my ear drums had busted. Sweat poured from every angle of my body, and I tried my hardest to use this desk as the best shield possible while also cover my head with my hands. Man this shit was crazy, but that was my life; I was always in some crazy shit. It just always seemed to find me.

  Chapter 8

  Jamir

  I hate this bitch

I hate you bitch, I hate you bitch

I hate you bitch, I never thought I'd say

  ~Z-Ro~

` I showed up to see Erica bright and early on a Saturday morning. I had made some major moves over the last couple of days and was able to arrange for her to be moved to some place safer. They promised me that her location would be kept secure and that no one would know about it unless they were immediate family members.

When Rozalyn told me that she had some work that she was trying to move for Tamar, I gathered what little money I had at home which was only fifty thousand dollars. Justice had twenty-five to his name and the rest we came up on by robbing a few of Tamar trap houses that he still had standing. That was the only way I was able to come up with the quarter mil that I took to Rozalyn to purchase those bricks.

Thank God, she was too dumb to know how much to sell them for cause I was able to get more than what I had anticipated. She actually believed that they went for eight stacks and then honestly thought I was doing her a favor by giving more.

Soon as I left that meet with her, I got up with a few niggas who I knew was holding and sold them the bricks I had gotten for Rozalyn for twenty apiece. After that, I got back in contact with Rozalyn and brought some more from her.

With the money, Justice and I were moving out of town and never coming back. Well I would have to come back when my daughter was born, but soon as she was here, I would catch ghost again and stay away. I knew that after this I could never be seen or heard from again. I wouldn't even hustle anymore and even thought about changin
g my name.

Tamar forced my hand when he sent Black after Erica. I didn't want to do him like this because he was the only person to ever put me on, but I had to what was right to protect what was mine. If it had been him, I'm sure he would've done the same thing.

Erica came to sit down and quickly picked up the phone. She was wearing a smile this time, and I knew it was because she knew that she was about to moved somewhere safe. Her smile made me smile.

"What's up?" I said bringing the phone to my ear.

"Hey," she said joyfully. "They are transporting me to a private jail in the morning until I have the baby and then afterwards they are sending me to Kentucky. I hate to go way out there, but they said it would be the best thing for me in order to stay safe."

"Yea, I know. I paid some people to take care of you for me."

"Wow, really. You did that for me?"

"Yea, I did that for you. No matter what, I still love you, E."

  "Damn, thanks," she said softly.

"Look, me and Justice gotta get the fuck out the way. All this shit has brought some heat down on us too, so I most likely will never see you again, but I will try to keep in contact through letters."

  "Where you going?"

"I don't know yet," I told her honestly.

  "Is Passion going with you?"

"Umm, maybe. I haven't decided yet."

"How can you still fuck with her sneaky ass? She's the one that told me about Justice; you know?" Erica said causing me to look at her strangely.

  "What the fuck?" I said.

"Yea, she the one that told me. How else did you think I found out?"

"Damn, why are you just now telling me this?"

"I don’t know. I was too mad at the time, but I figured you should know now. I definitely don’t want her around my daughter. That bitch might try some shit."

I nodded my head and held my head down. I knew Passion was foul, but I had no idea she was this foul. She was the one that caused these issues. All this time she had been by my side, holding my hand, and comforting me, when she was the reason all this shit happened. I hated that Erica was just now telling me this. I could've been gotten rid of Passion's bitch ass.
