We were married two months after I arrived in Nessa, roughly twelve hours after the resolution to legalize three-way marriages was passed. The ceremony was huge, because, well, duh, royalty. And also because as part of the ceremony, I had to formally be “crowned” an actual, real-life Princess. Emilia got a real kick out of that. But then, by that time, she herself was a Queen.
…But, that part of her story is best told by her.
As for me? Well, I joined her a few months after my wedding to Adam and Shane, when their father decided to formally retire from the throne. We had ourselves a second ceremony then — one where my two amazing men were crowned Kings of Nessa, and one where I was crowned Queen.
Me, a Queen. Cook to crown, somehow. Through fate. Through kismet, maybe. Through destiny.
…Or maybe just through me committing a minor felony and forging palace invitations to King Rian’s ball that night.
Either way, I’d say it worked out just fine.
In the end, love won, over all of it. Eventually, even the most hardline tabloid magazines and talk show hosts stopped talking about the “scandal of the monarchy” with the three of us being married. Because honestly, eventually people just stopped giving a shit. No one was getting hurt, no part of the government was corrupting or breaking down. No one’s taxes were going up, and no schools were shutting down. In the end, people just realized that we were just three people in love. That’s all.
Marta, Portia, and Renata… Well, again, it’s probably best if I let my best friend Emilia tell that one. But, suffice it to say, they were not long for the house Marta had basically stolen from Lord Kinsey. Emilia actually tried to give it to me — the whole damn manor and grounds, but then, what use did I have for it? Yes, I’d grown up there too, but just like her, I had a palace of my own then. So, instead, we decided to gift it to the other household workers and staff who’d worked there since her father. I think it worked out just fine for everyone.
We all hang out all the time now, too. After all, Nessa is a short helicopter ride away from Bandiff. I spend a lot of my time working with the food pantry I founded in Nessa that supplies fresh organic groceries to low-income and destitute families. But when I’m not doing that, I’m teaching a very eager Rian how to do some basic cooking. So far, he’s decent at brunch, and not bad with pasta.
Adam and Shane are hopeless, but then, I think they just like my cooking the best anyways. Yes, they eventually tried my cake.
…They agreed that I’m pretty fucking good at it.
Oh, and when I’m not in the kitchen? Well, I’m with them, of course. I’m with them anywhere, everywhere, and all over the damn place getting my world rocked by the two of them. There may actually be an upper limit on the number of orgasms you can survive in one day, but I’ll report back if I ever actually cross that line.
Oh, and we’ve got a bun in the oven. My oven, to be precise. We don’t know if it’s Adam’s or Shane’s and we also don’t think it matters one bit. If she has Shane’s eyes, or Adam’s chin, or my dark hair? Well, it’s all good. She’ll be a part of us. She’ll know love, and family, and strength.
Yeah, life is good. No, life is great. We’ve got each other. We’ve got love. And at present, we’ve got Emilia and Rian coming over for a dinner. Captain Oren’s coming too, actually, along with his-
…Well, I think I’ve spun enough drama for one story. Maybe he’d be better at telling that one.
