Thaniel cringed back against the bed and Tierney sat up and looped an arm around his waist as he faced Elianna.
“Get out,” Jax said, but the psycho female ignored him and moved closer. They watched, stunned as she yanked her shirt off over her head, then dropped it to the floor, leaving her wearing only a pair of black lace panties.
Tierney felt Thaniel swallow hard against her. “No, this can’t be happening,” he whispered, but Elianna just grinned at him. Then she pushed her panties down and slipped out of them, also leaving them where they lay.
“What the fuck is she doing?” Jax asked and Tierney shook her head.
“No idea.” She watched Thaniel and knew that he must be getting hit with waves of pheromones, if his shaking was any judge. He also held her hand in a death grip.
“Please, don’t let me go,” he begged her, although his eyes were glued to the Were-leopard.
“Jax, give me your hand,” Tierney said and when he did, she drew on his power and opened her senses even more.
“Holy fucking hell,” Jax snarled as they both finally understood what Thaniel was fighting.
Elianna let out a chilling yowl, and Thaniel pulled away from Tierney toward the Were-leopard. “Thaniel, no.” Tierney tugged on him, but Thaniel didn’t listen, or stop.
“Kitty!” Jax attempted to grab Thaniel, but with a snarl, he shrugged Jax off, his eyes riveted on the female in heat. He let out another growl and slowly advanced on her.
“Shit, we need to stop him,” Tierney said and jumped off the bed. Jax nodded. “What do we do?”
“No idea.”
“Thaniel,” she called a moment later, but once again, he ignored her as he began to stalk his prey around Jax’s suite. “I think his beast is rising,” she told Jax as they watched Thaniel give in to his baser instincts.
“You think he’ll shift?” Jax asked as they followed him around the room. Tierney shook her head. “No idea, I hope not, but your guess is as good as mine.”
Just then Elianna gave a husky laugh. “I told you you’d fuck me,” she said to Thaniel and throwing her head back, she let out another throaty yowl.
Tierney shivered, and hatred for Elianna once again consumed her. “We should never have let her stay,” she muttered as Thaniel began to yank all his clothing off. “Thaniel, stop! You don’t want to do this,” Tierney tried to talk him out of it, but his now glowing blue eyes were riveted on Elianna, his leopard in control.
When he was completely naked, Tierney gasped. No longer skin and bones, Thaniel had filled out nicely with muscles in all the right places. Then her gaze slid lower and heat licked through her body, along with an intense jealousy. Ours! The thought flew through her brain, then realizing what was happening, she looked at Jax with wide eyes. He was busy trying to talk Thaniel away from Elianna even if Thaniel wasn’t hearing him.

TIERNEY WATCHED the show with a sick feeling in her gut. “This isn’t supposed to happen,” she said, and Jax wrapped his arm around her.
“I know, and somehow I can’t see this ending well for Thaniel.”

“We’ve got to do something.”

Jax nodded at Thaniel. “We need to make him want us, you—”
Stunned at her mate’s words, Tierney gaped at Jax. “What?”
“You heard me. We need to stop him from making the biggest mistake of his life.”
“What, exactly, do you mean, by make him want us?” she asked.
“We both know he wants us. Do you want him that way too?” Jax asked and Tierney stared into his eyes, unsure of how to answer. She did, badly, because she’d come to realize how deeply she really did love Thaniel, but as much as she ached to fight for him, she couldn’t hurt her mate. It would kill her.
“I won’t be upset, I—” Jax hesitated and licked his lips as he watched Thaniel.
Suddenly, her insides quivered while her dragon roared in anger at Elianna, along with anticipation of being with Thaniel. “If we do this, there’s no going back. We may even end up bonding,” she warned.
Jax nodded. “I know.”
“Are you absolutely sure?” Tierney asked him solemnly.
“I’ve never been more sure,” he said, staring into her eyes. “He’s our Kitty.”
Tierney swallowed deeply. “All right then, drop ‘em,” she said, and smirked at his stunned look. But he was already naked and quickly realized that she was talking about his shields. Tierney snorted. Then, staring into Jax’s eyes, she used her own power and all her senses to reach out to make sure Jax wasn’t just saying this. She had to know for sure, because with her heart so deeply involved, she knew there would be no turning back.
Knowing what she needed, Jax released all his shields and let her in completely, something they hadn’t done since the first night they mated.
It took less than a fraction of a second, but when she saw what he felt for Thaniel and knew he was finally ready, she nodded. “All right.”
With steely determination, Jax’s gaze left hers and settled hungrily, protectively, on Thaniel.

THANIEL’S BEAST SNARLED when Elianna grabbed his hair. “I need you inside of me,” she hissed, making him growl. Then he stilled when both Tierney and Jax ran a hand over the skin of his back. A shiver rushed through him and he looked up to see Tierney right beside him. The beast calmed and grew even happier to see Jax was on the other side of him, bare-ass naked. Worried at what she might see in his eyes now, if he might have changed his mind, she sucked in a breath, shocked. Desire smoldered in his brilliant, glowing, dark blue eyes as he watched Thaniel. Then Jax’s intense gaze raked her slowly upward, making her lick her lips. Her men were both so stunningly beautiful and both made her melt like a puddle of water at their feet.
A moment later, Thaniel, moving like the beast inside of him, climbed fluidly to his feet and stared up into her eyes before looking at Jax. A gruff mewl tore from his throat, and when Jax nodded at him, his whole body began shaking and he blinked. Thaniel blinked at Jax and even though she knew he couldn’t communicate telepathically, they were still communicating. Thaniel swallowed deeply, and then focused back on Tierney. Hunger shone bright in eyes that now shone a shade of blue darker than normal as he pushed her back onto the bed.
“Now, mine,” Thaniel’s beast repeated, making Tierney’s dragon purr in response.
“Yes, baby, we are yours,” she whispered and scooted further up the bed. Thaniel climbed up like the predator he now was and knelt over her. Unable to resist, Tierney ran her fingers down his sides, making him shudder.
She licked her lips, her insides throbbing for him. Then she tore her eyes from Thaniel’s as Jax climbed up onto the bed and lay down beside her. She sm

Stunned, a tear slipped from the corner of Thaniel’s eye. “Please,” he whispered raggedly.
