Fangs extended, her mate ran the tips along her collarbone, hugging her tight to his body as he slammed into her. Head thrown back, she screamed when he hit deeper than ever before. Unlike the previous night, he possessed her, owned her, and she enjoyed every thrust that made her knees shake and heart batter against her rib cage. The growls rumbling from his chest evoked total eargasm.

Captivated by him, enthralled by his ardor, every breath she fought for, wrestled from him gave her life. His reflection stared at her from the glass. God, the way his shoulders flexed, his ass tightened with each thrust made her mouth water. Friction of his deep thrusts pushed her past the brink. Climax washed over her, bathing him in her cream. She held on tight as he hastened his pace, roared out his climax, and came in gasps of air.

“I could live in you forever.” Breathing having returned to normal, he brushed a kiss over her parted lips.

“Mmm same here. Let’s just stay here like this.” Caress leaned forward and wrapped her arms around his body.

  Chapter Eleven

With Ford busy, Caress headed to her brothers’ newest venture, Galveston Gym. She’d hoped to teach a kickboxing class to work off some steam, but those present were already engaged in their own workouts. When two teens from the Los Lobos schoolhouse wandered in, shoving one another and pretty much creating a ruckus, she opted to coach them on fighting techniques.

“In the cage,” she told Seth and Carter.

The two teens faced off. She gritted her teeth. Damn, these boys needed to work on their technique.

“Get him to the ground, Seth,” she barked. “Body positioning is everything. Use either the single leg take down or the double. I don’t care how you achieve your goal. And, Carter, no illegal blows, okay? This isn’t life or death. Do another one and you’re banned from the gym for a full week.”

“What? We heal, what’s the big deal on legal or illegal?”

“Fundamentals and respect for the sport. If you can’t get that in your head now, then you’re excused for an unforeseeable amount of time.”

  “Sorry, Miss Caress.”

“Don’t placate me. Seth. Carter, grab his legs, drive him up and forward to take him down.” She turned her attention back to the younger males. “Much better.”

“Is it now?” Ford’s angry voice sent shivers of trepidation down her spine. His smooth tenor belied what lay beneath the surface.

When she turned to face him, the forced smile vanished. He pointed to the locker room and strode off, leaving her to deal with her students.

“You two, no fancy stuff. Just take turns on take downs using human-like strength; control your beasts. I’ll be back.”

She strode down the short hallway leading to dressing rooms and showers. What’s up with Ford? I left a note so he’d know where I was. So, why the attitude? Her steps faltered. Wait. Did I leave the note where he could see it?

She found him standing near the lockers, his stance wide, his arms crossed over his broad chest. “You couldn’t have chosen the office? The locker room stinks of male funk covered up by pine cleaner.” She kicked a jock strap out of her line of vision.

“The office was occupied.” Ford clenched and unclenched his jaw. “The question is what am I going to do with you?”

“Kiss me good morning. Tell me you love me. There are so many thoughts that come to mind.”

Ford sat on the wooden bench. Taking her hand, he pulled her toward him. But instead of setting her on his lap, he tugged her hard, throwing her off balance. Squealing, she toppled forward, landing with her tummy on his thighs. What the hell?

“We have some unfinished business to settle first,” Ford rumbled.

She squirmed, but he held her in place. With a quick jerk, he lowered her yoga pants and panties to her knees. Cool air met her skin.

  “Ford!”

“Hush,” he growled then smoothed his hand over her derriere, first one cheek then the other.

The familiar erotic touch ignited her need. She wriggled for another touch from his calloused palm.

  Whack.

Pain exploded though her body, her mind just then realizing the throbbing burn for what it was—a full-on assault having nothing to do with sex.

“That’s for the first time you hit me.”

  Whack. Whack. Whack.

Each smack alternated cheeks in quick succession. “Knocking me off the bed, slapping my face, throwing rocks at the back of my head.”

She bucked on his lap. “What?”

Ford leaned forward. “I warned you there’d be payback. You need to work on active listening, in all things, including remembering to leave a note to let me know you’re safe.”

  Whack.

Mother fucker that hurt. Tears of pain mixed with those of humiliation. “I-I’m sorry.”

Ford snorted. Whack. “That was for the chunk of flesh you took out of my side.”

  “Please stop.”

  “Darlin’, we’re only halfway there.”

Whack. Whack. Both cheeks burned with his sharp smacks.

“The head butt and claw swipe.”

Uncontrollable sobs surged, erupting out of her mouth. The intense pain of his hand held no candle to being physically reprimanded by the man she loved—a man she’d taken childish glee in harming during her angry outbursts. She could tell by the hitch in his voice and the tremor in his hand after each strike to her skin each spank he delivered killed a piece of him.

Whack. “Elbowing me.” Whack. “Punching me in the face at Meara’s.”

She slumped over his lap, her feet and hands lying against the cool concrete floor. “Ford. I can’t take any more,” she whimpered.

“Too fucking bad, mate.” Whack. “The remaining incident of you hitting me, also in the face.”

“I’m sorry. I’m so, so sorry.” Caress swiped the flowing tears and snot from her face with the back of her hand. “I promise I’ll work on using words.”

“Good.” He let out a stressed growl. “Let me be crystal clear in case you forget. Hitting me is not okay. Leaving grounds against my wishes is also not okay. The thought of you in trouble makes my blood run cold. And, mate, trouble finds you everywhere. Fuck, you don’t even have to chase it. If anything happened….” Ford righted her clothing and moved so she could sit up and face him. “I chose the locker room for its soundproofing. Everyone would’ve heard if I’d chosen the office. Trust me, this hurt me as much as you. I never want to have to spank you like this again. “In the future, if you feel the need to let off steam, we’ll run as wolves or meet up in full gear in the cage.”

“Okay.” She tucked her hair behind her ears and offered a watery grin. “But I won’t go easy on you if we choose the second option.”

Her mate quirked a brow, a hint of a smile playing across his face. “You should go back to work. I’m going to go get some sleep.”

“I don’t like seeing you hurting at all.” She cupped his face, forcing him to meet her head-on stare. “My heart hurts for my previous actions.”

“Mine, too, darlin’.” Ford allowed her to stand then brushed past her, heading out of the gym.

At the sink, she took a moment to compose herself and wash her face. Her hands shook as she dried off with a towel.

  “Caress?” Adrie’s voice whispered.

  “I’m in here.”

Her friend opened the door and rushed to her, enveloping her in a hug. “You and Ford okay? I saw him leave with the most broken facial expression ever.”

“I don’t know what we are besides fated mates. He’s hurting.” She shook her head. “I think I broke his heart.”

“Maybe bruised, not broken. He’s a Giovanni, and you’re a Galveston. You’re both hardheaded and strong willed. Give him a few hours then go home. Things will be okay.”

  “How do you know?”

“Men like ours are hotheaded, but they love us. Trust me, I know firsthand. Now, I have to be off to p
ick out baby names.”

“Thank you for always being here for me.” Caress hugged her sister-in-law. “Just remember to think of me as a namesake.”

Adrie grinned. “I can’t handle more than one Caress. Too much power in your name. You go lead those boys in the ring. They’re starting to look bored. I’ll command those on gym clean-up detail. I may make them come in here and clean from top to bottom.” Adrie gagged. “I swear I see a mouth guard in a pile of jock straps and bloody towels.

“If I had more time, I’d tell you the horrors of growing up in nasty germ-infested gyms. Thank gods for our enhanced immune systems. Some of the funk I’ve waded through….”

Caress opened the front door and quietly padded her way through the house. Loud snores reverberated down the hallway. Her drool-worthy mate in all his masculine glory slept deep, sheets bunched around his hips, giving a delicious view of washboard abs, the lickable vee, the happy trail of hair…the endless list of attributes came to her mind. Lord above when he flipped over, she almost tripped over her feet.

I could totally bite that ass.

Girl, biting got you into trouble. Her Wolf chuffed.

Bed hog, how are we going to get in? Peeling off her gym clothes, she climbed to her side, fought to get the sheet loose from his hips, and scooted over, laying her head on his chest.

“You’re home.” Strong arms engulfed her.

“Mmhmm.” She snuggled closer and breathed in her favorite scent, called mate. But then an image of his disappointed face at the gym filled her mind. “Ford?”

  “Yeah.”

“I really am sorry about…not using my words. I want you to be proud of me.” Which was difficult for her to admit because, until him, she hadn’t given two shits what anyone thought of her. But it’s true. I care what he thinks.

“I am proud of you,” he murmured, his arms tightening around her. “You’re my Caress, my heart, my mate.”

She blinked back tears and smiled, her heart soaring. He’d forgiven her. I’ll do better from here. For him. Sighing, she let her body relax against his. “Naptime.”

  “Hmm. Playtime.” He rebutted.

She lifted her head from his shoulder and leaned over to kiss his chest. “Sounds promising. Is that weapon of mass destruction all for me?” Caress ran her palm over the muscle tenting the bed sheet.

“All for you to practice the anaconda choke.”

“And what an anaconda you have. You sure I can handle all that, baby?” Caress grasped him, the Egyptian cotton bedding the only barrier between his raw flesh and her hand.

“Enough teasing, love.” Ford flipped them over, allowing the material to slide off him. “Ready for some ground and pound?”

“Do your worst.” She opened her legs, used her hand to line him up, and sighed when he slid home in a long, deep thrust.

“This is what I call a full mount.” He nipped her neck, the sting sending a zap of pleasure down her spine. Her core tightened around him as she forestalled a premature climax.

“Fuck, you feel so damn good, clenching that tight cunt around my dick. Who knew MMA terms during sex made you sopping wet?”

“Coming from your mouth, so fucking dirty, Ford. But sexy, not corny.” She licked her lips. “I love your full mount and the anaconda reaming me. Now, fuck me hard. I need you to let the Wolf out to play.”

A wicked gleam shone in her mate’s eyes. Her Wolf submitted to his, allowing him the ultimate of trust and control. Each stroke of his magnificent cock drove her to a higher plateau of pleasure, hit spots she didn’t know existed. Under her fingertips the planes of his body tensed and contracted, showing her his raw masculine sensuality. Total system overload. She threw her head back and screamed as her orgasm washed through her, leaving her a quivering, over-sensitized mess.

Her mate smirked, crushing his lips to hers. “Love, you’re gonna make me blow.”

He growled low, fisted her hair, his mouth continuing the full-on assault in sync with his plundering cock. He let go, filling her with thick ropes of seed.

“You trying to catch up to Adrie?”

Ford grinned. “No. Not yet. I relish the thought of having you to myself for a while first, though practicing as much as possible gives me much pleasure.”

She traced her fingertips along his jaw then patted his cheek. “I’m starving. Where’s the Rice Krispies you hid?”

  “Secrets will cost you.”

“A hungry mate is a grouchy one.” She rose from the bed to find some sustenance.

Ford tackled her back to him. “Right under the bed.” He fetched the Tupperware and opened the lid, delicious scents wafting to her nose. Setting the container on the nightstand, he drew out a treat. Her mouth watered—and not just for the Krispies. “We can live on these until the run.”

Caress nuzzled his neck and smiled. “Sounds good to me.” She allowed him to feed her. “Whatever will we do to pass the time until the pack run tomorrow evening?”

“Oh, I can think of many, many things to do.” Popping the rest of the treat into her mouth, he tossed her on the bed and dove on top of her. “In close to twenty-eight hours, under the full moon, you’ll be mine forever in the eyes of the lupine traditions. The question is…can you handle all of me?”

Her Wolf grinned at him. “We can handle anything you dish out.”

To her delight, he went about proving that for the rest of the lazy afternoon.

Seducing the Schoolmarm by Mahalia Levey

  Chapter One

“Home, sweet home.” Ravage Galveston grinned at his surly sister, Caress, and his younger brother by five minutes, Raze. He navigated Los Lobos land as they drove through the small town toward the house he’d bought.

“You have to be kidding me. There’s nothing here.” Caress grunted. “Why did we have to leave Colorado? I want to move back to the city. We were fine just the three of us. How can you force me to move to pack territory? Your final decision is not fair. I am an adult. I wanted to finish at Alder College.” She huffed, flipping her blonde hair over her shoulder.

  Ravage opened his mouth. “You—”

“Where is civilization, the mall?” the little blue-eyed darlin’ continued. “I had friends back home. I’m twenty. You should’ve let me stay there. Trust I’d be fine on my own. What the hell were all my self-sufficiency lessons for?”

“That’s enough, Caress.” He flicked his irritated gaze in her direction. Good, at least she has the decency to back down and slump her shoulders. “You’re my sister. The time has come for you to see what pack life entails. I’d rather you take classes online. For fuck’s sake, you were expelled. Since then, you’ve been out of control. Fighting in that underground women’s league. A non-sanctioned shifter’s arena at that. I don’t think you fully realize the ramifications of your actions. Trust is earned. In no way am I allowing you to attend a college where you won’t be completely safe or be able to let your Wolf run. Trouble finds you…or you find it.” Remembering the cost of getting her out of the organized crime ring angered him all over again. Yeah, his sister’s inability to curb her impulses had cost them all dearly—but he’d never tell her. It wasn’t his job to worry her but to ensure her safety, which was worth every cent he had paid and favors he owed.

Raze chuckled. “Sis, you should know living alone with humans isn’t going to happen in this lifetime, no matter how many times you argue the point. Besides, we’ve stuck together since Mom and Dad died. Do you think big brother is really going to leave you to your own devices? Maybe when you’re mated. No, not even then.”

Ravage sighed. Caress probably possessed a minimal recollection of living with pack, or adhering to pack rules, as their parents passed away when she was eight. After her shenanigans at college, he’d had no recourse but to find them a place where she could grow into her Wolf and find a mate to curb her
willfulness.

“We’ve been over this, guys. You know I’ve been working on finding a good fit for us to put down roots. Finding a pack who accepts Raze as openly gay, and one that might have a way to keep you out of trouble, Caress. I’m tired of coming home from fights to find you embroiled in some mess. The latest…I thought I was going to have to kill the owner of the strip club for hiring you. You know better than to call attention to yourself. Having orders to follow from an Alpha will do you a world of good. And give me a much-needed break, a chance to breathe. You seem to have no issue finding loopholes with my rules, but, trust me, the same won’t happen here. There will be heavy consequences if you choose to ignore orders.”

“You never let me have fun. And now we’re in the middle of nowhere. I think you enjoy making my life sheer hell. I mean, what are the chances Raze will find a mate out here? In what…population zilch? I seriously doubt there are many gay guys in this primitive land.”

Ravage tightened his hands on the steering wheel to prevent snatching her hair and bringing her to heel. One…two…three…. Although he wasn’t an alpha, he was a dominant male used to taking care of his family. Being a brother-slash-father wasn’t easy. The boundaries tended to blur. Maybe he should’ve spanked her more as a child. Four…five…six…. At times, she had no respect, and he hoped moving her into a community of their kind would change her attitude, putting reality in perspective for her. Seven…eight…nine—

“Give it up, brother. Once she’s in a snit, she’s in it for the entire day. She’s goading you on purpose.” Raze peered over his shoulder. “Caress, leave well enough alone. We’re in our new hometown. You know there’s no going back. Deal. Trust me, you’ll be better off here than in another city. And quit bending the binding on my book. It’s a first edition.”

“Reading is for the birds anyway.” She rolled her eyes and slammed the hardback book closed.

“I found you a respectable job with the local teacher,” Ravage threw in. “You’ll begin as her assistant as soon as we’re settled in our new place. I’ve been assured the supplies needed to update our new home should’ve arrived already. Plus, I sent in your tuition fees for a few online courses to continue working on your degree. Luckily, you’ll be able to make the drive to Sioux City for any major exams you need to take.”
