Her youthful chocolate skin was inviting. Tabitha quivered as his hands roamed her body again. His touch was light and it felt as though it was the first time all over again. A burst of moisture emitted from between her legs. Freddie's expert hands slid between her upper thighs to feel the soaking crotch of her panties.

Tabitha expected him to take her quickly and easily; purely because he could. She was surprised as he continued massaging the dampness. His free hand was caressing her skin tenderly. Locking his fingers in the elastic of the waist, Freddie was able to peel off and remove Tabitha’s panties without making her feel ungraceful.

She knew he was ready to connect properly with her. When his cock finally pushed into her slit, Tabitha savored the delight of him stretching her.

She'd taken Freddie's length down her throat willingly and received it in her pussy gratefully. He was slow to start. Coasting the full length of his rod inside her, he then drew it almost completely out. Each time he left the head of his dick ensconced shallowly in her entrance. Tabitha experienced every part of him and Freddie encountered every part of her. It should've been sex, but something else came into play.

The lazy sensuous intercourse had them lost in a special moment of forever. The rhythmic rocking stimulated Tabitha to the point that her internal muscles tightened around his prick. The sharp electricity of her vaginal contractions on his erection bought Freddie from a blissful place to a frantic frenzied state of heightened sexual desire. His hips jerked to increase the pace. He thrust faster and faster into her; his hands on her slim waist.

Observing his cock sliding deep into her aroused Freddie. He wanted to hear her moaning. Mustering his energy he slammed into her hard, wanting a release. Tabitha had never had sex like it. That together they could switch from sexy to sensual, from leisurely to lusty, was tantalizing.

“Come on my cock. Let me know how much you need this,” mumbled Freddie.

His penetration was boisterous. Tabitha dropped her head to the floor to secure herself. She reached a hand between her legs to rub her clit. Stimulating her slippery nub was going to be the quickest way for her to climax on his hard-on.

Freddie crouched over her so his body had additional contact with the bare flesh of Tabitha's back and his hands could hold her breasts and fondle them as she peaked.

Feeling the man of her dreams gliding in and out of her, his body stuck to hers with the sweat from their sexual activities brought Tabitha to orgasm. One final finger teasing her clit had her bucking her hips as she came on Freddie's cock.

Freddie withdrew after releasing his load inside her. He smiled at the peachy behind in front of him. Giving it a playful slap, he kissed the back of her neck affectionately. His final, firm caress of her body was the perfect end to what Tabitha considered perfect sex.

“I hope you always look at me the same way Tabitha,” said Freddie, his voice distant and foreign sounding to Tabitha’s ears. “I hope you will always love me the same way. You are worth the effort – whatever you might hear.”

Part of Tabitha was glad to find Freddie sound asleep when she finally opened her eyes. Yesterday had been one of the queerest days of her life. While Freddie was a welcome return, she couldn’t help thinking her day would’ve run a lot smoother had she not had to deal with his unexpected appearances and disappearances and the sizzling, but unfamiliar sex.

The normally chilled and composed Freddie Ravensdale had returned conflicted and confused. As worrying as it was, Tabitha’s heart melted at the sight of him in her bed. It wasn’t so much that he possessed the body of a Greek Adonis, but asleep he looked angelic with his fine bone structure and blonde hair. She ran a thumb down his razor sharp cheek bones affectionately for a moment or two before deciding she needed to fix herself a cup of coffee. It was Saturday after all, and weekends weren’t to be wasted.

Creeping out of bed, she pulled on a nightie made of t-shirt material and headed to the kitchen. With the kettle boiling, she tried to shake off the negativity she was experiencing regarding Freddie’s behavior. In the six weeks he’d been away, Tabitha had created a new routine for her weekends and had a niggling feeling that Freddie wouldn’t be overly happy with her trying to merge it with their private time together.

Half inclined to cook breakfast; she decided to wait for Freddie to wake in case he preferred to go out somewhere. Adequate as her culinary skills were, even Tabitha had the sense to realize cooking wasn’t her forte.

Her leg was jiggling as she drank her coffee.

“This is ridiculous,” she thought. “You trust this guy with your heart and know he’d never harm you. Why on earth are you so nervous?”

“Morning, gorgeous,” yawned Freddie, staggering into the kitchen,

Tabitha gulped at the vision of him shirtless in a pair of baggy shorts. His muscular torso was rippling as he stalked toward her to wrap an arm round her waist and kiss her lips.

“Excuse my morning breath,” he apologized. “I was too eager to see you to bother brushing my teeth first.”

  Tabitha laughed.

“I’d hoped you’d tell me I taste good anyway,” grinned Freddie.

“You taste like Scotch and sex.”

“Now there’s a suitably alluring fragrance for a men’s scent,” he chuckled. “Maybe you should consider introducing a range of aftershave to the Hastings-Bass line.”

  “That’s feasible,” she concurred half-serious.

Freddie poured himself a cup of coffee and shot a furtive glance at Tabitha.

  “You okay?” he asked.

“I will be. Yesterday was a bit freaky, that’s all. You swept me off my feet in more ways than one.”

As Freddie assessed her with his blue eyes she noted they seemed cloudy rather than clear.

He reached a hand out for Tabitha. Placing her coffee on the counter, she put her hand into his.

“Come back to bed,” murmured Freddie dreamily.

Tabitha was too weak to resist.

The long, luscious love making mid-morning on a Saturday diffused the stress from the previous day. Their limbs entwined with one another, Tabitha finally felt emotionally close to Freddie.

“I was worried I might have lost you last night.”

“Because Roger cornered me to engage in possibly the most awkward father and son conversation ever?” asked Freddie.

“No. You seemed distant when you arrived here.”

“I wasn’t distant. I was in lust. In love, but in lust as well. Six weeks away from you was hellish. I felt that the entire universe was against me returning to you. When I finally got you to myself my primal instincts took over.”

“I’m not complaining. It was one of my most memorable nights, but I think we’re about so much more than just sex.”

“I couldn’t agree with you more, Tabitha. You don’t seriously think I flew back here to satiate my carnal urges, do you?”

Sitting up abruptly, she pulled the pillow from under Freddie’s head and whacked him with it.

  “I did wonder!”

Freddie fought off her pillow attack and wrapped his arms tight around her.

“I love you,” he whispered in her ear. “Please don’t forget that in my not-so-perfect moments.”

Tabitha wanted to reprimand him for the arrogant assumption that for the most part Freddie thought he was perfect, but there was such tenderness and vulnerability in his voice she didn’t want to derive humor from the sincere expression of his feelings.

Her brown eyes studied him for a while.

“You know I feel the same?”

“I’d like it better if you said it to me,” replied Freddie.

“I love you too,” she said with a shy smile.

“Then tell me what we’re going to do today or have you no plans to get out of bed?”

  “Quite the contrary, Freddie.”

“Fill me in on the weekend itinerary then.”

Tabitha bit her lip. It was foolish to be reluctant t
o include Freddie in her already organized plans and unwarranted to rearrange her schedule to devote herself entirely to Freddie.

“As luck would have it, I’ve taken to meeting Izzy on a Saturday evening.”

Fond of his sister, Freddie looked pleased.

  “For dinner?”

Tabitha puffed her cheeks out and exhaled, sucking her tongue against her teeth as she prepared to divulge to Freddie her normal Saturday night antics.

  “For cocktails,” corrected Tabitha.

  “That sounds awfully civilized.”

“It is. We have dinner on Wednesday nights for a midweek catch up and drinks and dancing on Saturday night.”

“Oh,” Freddie paused. “Dancing as in clubbing?”

“I wasn’t raised here, Freddie. I’ve only been in London a couple of months. My circle of friends isn’t that large. Apart from my PA, Yvonne, you and Izzy are the only people I socialize with. I thought it was sweet of Izzy to take me under her wing while you were away. She’s good fun and her pals are really friendly and welcoming.”

  “They’re quite a trendy set.”

“Don’t be snobbish. Her friends tend to work in the creative and entertainment industries. They are cool and fashionable, but they aren’t elitist or affected. Not in my experience.”

“I’m sure they’re fine. Izzy and I don’t tend to mingle with one another’s friends.”

It was on the tip of Tabitha’s tongue to point out that apart from his sister, Freddie didn’t appear to have anyone he was overly close or friendly with. Izzy was sweet, incredibly outgoing and full of energy and enthusiasm. It was hard not to like the warm, kind hearted girl. Her closeness and devotion to her older brother was something Tabitha admired.

“Lucky for me you’re open-minded and wouldn’t want to interfere in my friendship with your sister.”

“Indeed,” said Freddie dryly. “And are we dancing tonight?”

“I’m not sure. We’ll see where the nights take us. I was reluctant the first time Izzy suggested it, but I must confess after a few cocktails I had a sudden change of heart – and I’m glad I did.”

Freddie grinned at his girlfriend’s openness and honesty.

“Alright. I swear not to be a killjoy,” assured Freddie.

“Izzy will be thrilled to see you.”

“And I’m looking forward to seeing her.”

“Does she know you’re back?” inquired Tabitha.

One look at his face and Tabitha knew the answer was going to be no. Her eyes widened in surprise at how effectively Isabella could keep a secret.

“I can’t believe you told her,” she exclaimed. “What’s even more shocking is that she didn’t give me any clue that you were coming back.”

“I made her promise,” explained Freddie. “I think she’s going to be very happy to see us both. I suspect she believes you’d blow her off tonight to spend time with me.”

“Friends are forever, boyfriends however...” Tabitha trailed off and let the sentence hang in there.

“Boyfriends are disposable?” teased Freddie, secretly pleased with the value Tabitha attached to friendship.

“Friends are forever and so are husbands. Boyfriends need to graduate and grow up to be included on my forever friends list.”

  “Something to aspire to!”

“No rings for Christmas,” winked Tabitha. “I’m not looking to put you on a leash any time soon.”

“Tabitha you’re never going to have me on a leash and you’d hate it if I was. You do, however, hold my heart in your hands and that is a big responsibility. Now let’s get dressed and grab lunch to line our stomach if we’re going to be drinking and dancing tonight.”

  Chapter 16

Izzy rolled her eyes when she saw Tabitha and her brother enter the Nordic Bar. They looked as if they’d stepped out of an advert for United Colors of Benetton. Having assisted Tabitha out of her winter coat, Freddie removed his own and began making his way to the table Izzy had been saving or them.

Freddie was wearing midnight black slim jeans, a startling white dress shirt with bold black feathers on it, a quilted bomber jacket and slick black trainers. Tabitha was in a deep purple cami dress, with a black satin kimono layered over the top. Her purple heels easily took her to six feet, but she was still three inches shorter than Freddie.

“Why the change in hair color?” Freddie asked his sister as he embraced her before sitting.

“Tis the season to be jolly, dear brother.”

“Jet black is a bit dramatic.”

“It is. A hair disaster that needs addressing before Christmas, I agree. Still I keep telling myself it makes my eyes look bluer and accentuates my pale skin.”

“It makes you look like Morticia from the Addams Family.”

  Tabitha couldn’t stop herself laughing.

“It’s eye-catching,” she pacified, wondering why Freddie was insisting on insulting his sister upon arrival.

“It is that,” agreed Freddie. “And I can’t pretend you don’t look amazing.”

Tall and slim like her brother, Izzy’s willowy figure allowed the black underlining of her dress to cling to her body, so that the tiny silver sequins sparkling on the black chiffon taunted men as to the exquisiteness that lay beneath.

“Despite my frightening hair, I’m hoping that I might score a kiss under the mistletoe sometime between now and Christmas.”

“Just be sure you don’t tell any of your potential suitors that your preferred method of transport is a broomstick!”

“Enough, Freddie,” chimed the girls unanimously.

“I’ll get the first round in,” offered Tabitha. “Best get started before it becomes too busy.”

Just off the shopping Mecca of Oxford Street in the heart of Fitzrovia, The Nordic Bar was tucked away in a basement. Dim lighting, Scandinavian furniture and a rustic feel, the hidden gem offered some of the best cocktails in the city.

  “Cocktail, wine or beer, Freddie?”

  Freddie mulled the choice briefly.

  “Beer. Nothing beats British beer.”

“British beer is served warm and we’re in a Scandinavian themed bar, but if that’s what you want...”

The cocktails took a while to prepare but were worth the wait. Freddie raised an eyebrow at the vibrant pink color and unique shaped glasses they were presented in.

“Wow. You’ve learned my sister’s favorite cocktail.”

“We’ve had enough in the last six weeks that even if Izzy never has another I’ll still be able to remember how to concoct one and give it to her as a final drink when she’s on her deathbed.”

“They’re heavenly,” announced Izzy after taking a sip. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I can’t be like Tabitha and drink my way through every cocktail on the menu.”

Tabitha glowered at Izzy. She loved her girly nights, but she didn’t want Freddie thinking he was dating an alcoholic.

“Not that she’s ever done that,” continued Izzy, reading Tabitha’s silent communication, “but she’s given it a good go in the past.”

  The three of them laughed.

“Girls, I’m not stupid,” declared Freddie in mirth. “I’m not sure who is leading who astray here, but I think I returned home in time to save you both from the demon drink.”

Izzy reached over to squeeze her brother’s hand impulsively.

“We really did miss you,” she blurted out.

  “I missed you two, too.”

“It’s good we’re back together again,” agreed Tabitha.

“On that note,” began Isabella, “What’s the plan for Christmas?”

In an instant, Freddie’s face darkened. Running his hands up and down his thighs, both women knew instantly this was not a topic he was comfortable discussing.

  “It’s a bit early isn’t it?”

Isabella’s and Tabitha’s eyes bulged. Tabitha bit her tongue, but Isabella was less than restrained.

  “Freddie, you were just
at the Hastings-Bass Christmas party last night. In less than a fortnight, Christmas will all be over. How on Earth is it too early to start discussing arrangements?”

“Maybe he meant it’s a bit early in the evening to start with a heavy conversation. He hasn’t even been back in the country for a full twenty-four hours. Let’s give my man a little time to get back into the swing of London life.”

Freddie smiled gratefully at Tabitha. Shifting his seat closer, he let his hand brush her thigh and gave it a quick “thank you” squeeze.

  Izzy looked betrayed.

“Freddie’s used to traveling He’s been involved in the opening of all overseas Hastings-Bass branches since he was sixteen. It’s not like his recent trip was anything new. He should be used to it by now.”

“I should be used to your quick temper, but it still annoys me,” laughed Freddie, confident with Tabitha’s support.

Izzy poked her tongue out at him. She didn’t want to spoil the night. Freddie often needed coaxing to relax and discuss family oriented subjects. She chewed her lip. It wasn’t that she was concerned about Christmas, but she felt for Tabitha. With no family in the country and no opportunity to fly home, she didn’t think it would hurt Freddie to at least convey to Tabitha that she would be spending Christmas with their family. A little security and a plan might give her something to look forward to and diminish the feelings of homesickness she’d inevitably experience. Tip-toeing around her brother and the odd squabble Izzy was used to, but seeing a friend fretting about the prospect of a potential Christmas alone was not something Izzy felt right about.

“Can I at least tell Dad that you’ll be bringing a lady friend?” she asked lightly.

  “No,” answered Freddie firmly.

  “Oh,” said Tabitha surprised.

“Don’t worry,” soothed Freddie snaking an arm round Tabitha’s shoulder. “You and I will definitely be spending Christmas together. I’m not certain it’ll be with Roger, though.”
