A short distance away, Lieutenant Cooper watched their antics with a soft knowing smile on her lips. “They are a remarkable pair.” she thought, “and thank the heavens they found us before the invaders did..She wasn’t sure what they were going to find as they headed up river, but she was sure that if they survived the ordeal uncaptured, that Alex and Keisha would be a big part of the reason why.
