Chapter One
“Fuck that was hot. I’ll be calling you again soon, Amber. I don’t think I’ve ever come that hard before. I think my balls are completely empty,” Ralph said.
Piper, or Amber as her phone name was, moaned for him. “I’ll look forward to it. That was so good. My pussy is sticky wet. I’m going to need a shower after that.”
Ralph ended the call, letting Piper off the line. Once she’d loved her job, but now, with her stalker calling her at all hours of the night, she dreaded each ring of her phone in case it was him. As a phone sex operator, she made good money, better when she was able to hook a client like Ralph so that they called back over and over again. The more returning customers she had, the more she got paid.
The catch was that she’d attracted a creepy stalker who harassed her over the phone. He’d scared her so badly that she’d picked up and moved from Dallas to Reo, Texas, her hometown. She’d hoped he couldn’t trace her and find out where she lived. She’d felt safer among people she knew than in a busy city where she didn’t even know her neighbors in the apartment building where she’d lived.
If he did figure out how to find her, she’d have a better chance in the small town where everyone paid attention to strangers than she would in a big city where everyone minded their own business even when someone was in trouble and needed help.
Despite Creepy MacStalker, Piper hadn’t needed to change her phone number because she worked off a website where her clients called into a 1-800 number that went through the central office and switched over to her. It meant that he didn’t know who she was, where she lived, or her real phone number. She even used a separate cell phone for her work than she had for personal use. Still, it was spooky, and she’d had some horrible nightmares where he found her despite the safety measures in place.
I can’t let the asshole take over my life and make me afraid to answer my own phone for God’s sakes. He can’t find me. I’m safe.
Piper had first started the job as a way to earn money for school. It had been the perfect thing that she could do from home while she took classes at the university. She’d even taken some of her classes on line so that she was available more hours to take work calls. It had been the perfect job for her until Mr. Creepy had started calling.
It had taken her a while to get into the phone sex thing, but now she thought about what it would be like to talk dirty with a man she cared about. She could imagine his face when she talked about how she wanted to suck him off in detail or how much she loved it when he played with her clit. Just thinking about it always got her wet. If she ever found a man who’d enjoy that kind of thing, she’d be in heaven.
Now though, Piper had a hard time enjoying what she did. Her current dream was to build up her online business of graphic design and website development so she could give up the phone sex job. It just wasn’t what it had been before her stalker.
Nothing is like it was before he started calling me. I just want him to go away.

Piper hadn’t wasted
time packing her things and moving back to Reo. Almost immediately people she’d known from nearly six years ago recognized her and greeted her like she’d never moved away at all. A feeling of peace and safety enveloped her as she bought groceries, unpacked her things, and ate at the local diner.
She’d even run into Jessie on the sidewalk outside the bank when she’d been arranging to have her checking and savings accounts transferred there. It had been good to see her, but Jessie had been late for an appointment and promised to call her later so they could catch up. She and Jessie had been great friends before Tussler, Jessie’s brother, had changed into someone neither of them had recognized.
Though it hadn’t been the only reason she’d moved away to go to school, it had played a major part in her decision. She’d started out in the dorm then rented an apartment close to campus. It had taken her six years to graduate because she worked through college and only took a few classes every other semester so she could pay her bills and pay for the education.
She’d never regretted her decision since it meant she had a good, solid degree with loads of experience with working while she’d studied. Work experience always helped land jobs. The more experience, the better the job.
Piper had been in Reo for about six weeks and had fallen in love with the town all over again. She spent time walking in the local park and even thought about getting a cat to keep her company at home.
Despite how friendly everyone was, she felt lonely a lot of the time. She’d been on her own for so long that she’d started to grow weary of it. Though she’d dated some while in Dallas, none of the relationships had lasted longer than a month or so. There was something missing in all of them. They lacked passion, and Piper desperately wanted a relationship that included it. She wanted her heart to race and her stomach to flutter when her man was holding her.
I’m a romantic. Men aren’t like that these days. I need to push past it and find someone I like to spend time with.
That was easier said than done though. She needed to get out more and hopefully someone would pique her interest one day. She could always hope.

“Motherfucking piece of shit.” Turk threw up his hands and rocked back on the office chair.
“What’s up?” Irish asked him.
“The fucking website isn’t working right. I’ve contacted the webmaster twice now, but he still hasn’t gotten to it. We’ll lose money if it’s not back up soon.”
“Can’t you fix it?”
“Fuck no. I can hack anywhere and run a store off the site, but I’m clueless with all the newfangled programming languages out there. Fuck, fuck, fuck.”
Turk wanted nothing more than to kick the stupid computer across the room and take a sledgehammer to it for good measure, but it wasn’t the computer’s fault. It was the damn programmer’s screw-up.
His stomach burned, rolling with what felt like a blowtorch inside. He needed to calm down before he had a stroke, but really. They’d contracted the asshole after receiving good reviews for his work. Everything had run smoothly for about six months, but now he had trouble getting updates loaded and getting in touch with the bastard.
“Maybe we need to look for another webmaster,” Irish suggested.
“Fuck, I know it. I started gathering names yesterday but haven’t had time to review them yet. I’ve been too busy trying to work on the fucking site. Besides, a lot of the designers I’ve contacted in the past refused to work on porn sites. Go figure.”
Irish chuckled. “We need someone who isn’t a prude to work on them. Think you can find one?”
“Who the fuck knows.” He sighed and started pecking at the keys again in hopes he could figure out how to make the changes he needed without screwing up the site completely.
“What about contacting one of the companies that advertise on our site and finding out who they use?”
“Good idea. I’ll do that.”
“Want a beer?”
“Nah. Maybe later. I want to get this fucking picture loaded if nothing else.”
“Be back in a few.”
Turk lifted his chin at the other man then returned to trying to manipulate the picture where he wanted it. They needed someone who could work on web pages and keep the site updated on a daily basis instead of trying to upload a week’s worth of stuff all at one time. He could hack into any computer in most any company and had once worked for the government. But creating a web page that looked good and drew in the viewer was beyond him. He hated dealing with that part of the job.
He gave up on the website and pulled up the list of potential companies to go through their sites to thin out the absolutely-nots. Then he contacted some of the companies that advertised on their sites to find out who they used.
After sending out a half-dozen emails, Turk leaned back in the chair and laced his fingers behind his head. It was past time to call it quits for the day, but he had nothing better to do than monitor the sites. Maybe someone would get back in touch with him while he waited.
He thought about how most of the others had a woman to go home to. He and Irish had hoped to find someone for themselves, but no one in the little town had attracted their attention for a long-term relationship. He was starting to believe they’d never find someone to settle down with. Maybe it was time for a road trip. He’d talk to Irish about it, and they could go to Reese and Dom about it.
Dominic was The Ghost Riders’ president, and Reese was the vice president. They were good men who led the club with a tight grip, steering them further away from the questionable side of things into legit businesses. Yeah, they ran porn sites, but they didn’t keep prostitutes or sell drugs.
They were all licensed bounty hunters and ran a custom bike shop and a regular mechanic’s shop as well as their online businesses. All in all, they were flush when it came to finances and above the law. It was why they didn’t have trouble with the local law enforcement and the town’s citizens tolerated them. That and the fact that they ran a toy drive for kids at Christmas and rode in a poker run for charity.
While Merrick and Cassius had more degrees than a rocket scientist, he and Irish had only high school diplomas and a few wasted years at a community college. That had been more than enough for them.
Most of the members of The Ghost Riders MC only had high school diplomas or a few years at a community college. They worked hard and partied just as hard when it suited them. Being a member of the club was freeing, despite the turn of the club toward more legal businesses over the last few years.
Dom and Reese had really turned the club around after the previous dickhead of a president had nearly run them into the ground and gotten all of them arrested with his gun running and drug businesses. Turk was relieved that the only time they had to look over their shoulders was when there was a rival gang trying to move in on their territory. That had happened in the past with other clubs, but the last few months had been good.
He shook his head. It didn’t mean they could be complacent and let down their guard. Sooner or later another club would look at them as easy pickings. They’d learn that The Ghost Riders wouldn’t tolerate it.
Turk sat up and pushed away from the desk. He wasn’t doing anything sitting there. He might as well go grab a beer and find out what Irish was up to. His buddy was probably giving Cindy and Jugs a hard time knowing him. He loved to tease them. It was just too bad that they weren’t attracted to Cindy in a relationship way. They hadn’t been attracted to any of the club’s women.
Fuck it sucked to be celibate. They needed to find a woman. His hand wasn’t cutting it anymore.
Chapter Two
“Talk dirty to me, Amber. I want to hear that slutty mouth tell me what you’re going to do to my dick when I find you. Want to know what I’m going to do to you?”
Piper swallowed down the bile that oozed up her throat like a cat stalking a bird. She couldn’t believe he’d called back so soon. Usually she had three or four days before he’d call once
she’d shut him down. It had been only two days this time. Why was he bothering her like this? What had she done to him?
“I’m not talking to you. Stop calling me.”
“I’ll never stop calling you. When I find you, I’m going to teach you what happens to sluts like you who fuck with men over the phone. You’re too weak to handle a real man in the flesh. I bet you’re ugly and fat and can’t get a man except over the phone. Do you get yourself off while you talk to them? You’ll beg me to fuck you when I catch you, Amber. You’ll see.”
Piper’s hand shook as she pressed End before throwing the phone across the room, where it landed with a thunk on the floor. She bit her fist to keep the scream forming in her head from erupting out of her mouth. She wanted to throw the props she used across the room to join the phone on the floor. She wanted to slam her laptop against the desk until pieces of it flew to the floor, but she knew she couldn’t do any of that. She needed her job too much. The thought that she might have damaged her work phone when she’d thrown it was short-lived when it rang again. She ignored it. She wouldn’t answer it until the company blocked the latest number.
Piper knew he’d keep calling until she was able to get his phone number blocked. She used her personal phone and called the company to add yet another number to her blocked-caller list. They’d assured her that many of their other operators had long lists, as well, but the lady she talked with didn’t seem overly concerned about the issue.
“What was the time of the call, hon?” the customer service operator asked.
