Rise of the Phoenix: Act 3 Page 16

“Good evening, Edge,” replied a voice that Edge recognized. The voice was familiar but different; more serious and mature than before. “I have something that you want to see,” the voice taunted before hanging up.

As Edge moved the disconnected phone from his ear, a notification appeared in his e-mail.

“What was all that about?” Tucker asked, but Edge failed to respond. He just sat back down at his computer and clicked on the new message. It was encrypted. Edge punched in a few commands, and the computer went to work decrypting the file. When the file opened, he could not believe his eyes; an electronic copy of Nezaket’s journal.

“Tucker, call Ramona. Tell her dinner is postponed a bit,” he said, scrolling through the pages. The two of them went page by page until they came to a list of names. Though written in Arabic, Tucker and Edge had enough knowledge between them to decipher the list. Tucker recognized the name at the top of the list: Anderson Winford.

  “Is this...?" Edge asked

“It is. A list of all the key players in the Order,” Tucker responded, “Edge...who gave you this?”

Edge went back to the email and saw the one sentence: “This should help in your quest to bring down the men who killed my father.”

It was hard for Edge to believe how different the kid had sounded on the phone. So very different from the last time they spoke.

  "It was Arslan."
