Anahi stops after taking a few steps inside the club, swiping the glasses off her face and looking amongst everyone. Her throat bobbing as if she’s preparing herself for what she’s about to say.
“Enough of this,” she begins, her tone stronger than she looks. “Bull wouldn’t want this!” she hollers, and everyone outside and inside gathers to hear her.
Zane wraps his arms around me as we listen. Bull might be down, but his queen still speaks for the club.
“Bull has been having some heart problems for a while, and we have talked about what would happen if something like him having a heart attack might happen. He wants the club to go on, and not to wait on him. I am choosing to keep him on life support, as I have hope for him. For us. That being said, it’s time for a new age; for change!”
Everyone starts whispering, the idea of change and moving on without him not appealing in the least.
“This is what Bull wants, he said it himself!” she informs the crowd, making us all quiet again. “We will thrive stronger than ever and make Bull proud by doing what he wants. This is his home, brothers, and you are his legacy.”
Her eyes fall to Zane and I look at him. He’s been on and off about taking the Vice President’s patch. He thinks he doesn’t deserve it and has been living the last few days as a prospect. Zane glances at me, and I rub his shoulder.
“This is what he wants,” I inform him, wanting him to see this is Bull’s wish. Zane finally stands, and he looks taller than he ever has and he’s ready for the job. Zane is his legacy, the blood of the Devil driving him forward. Nothing can stop him now.
Saint and Rad take a step next to Zane, lifting their chin. Their loyalty honorable.
“Every Devil is his legacy,” Zane confirms, and I pull him close. I’m so proud of him.

“The Devil’s Dust goes on…” Zane whispers, and then everyone cheers.
