Asher (A Wesley Brothers Novel Book 3) Page 17

No, he’s taking his time, drawing out the pleasure for both of us, grinding the root of his cock onto my clit with each pass. His hands hold me tight to him, one wedged under me, the other gripping the nape of my neck to hold me in place for his kisses, every nip, lick, suck, and nibble sending me closer and closer to the edge.

His love is all-encompassing, his lips full of heat and promise as he rocks into me at the perfect speed, perfect angle, perfect pressure.

“Don’t stop.” I breathe out the words on an exhale, surprised at my ability to form a coherent thought, let alone verbalize it.

He doesn’t, and I get lost in him even more. His hands are everywhere, his lips everywhere too. The scent of his cologne mixed with sweat filters through my nose, the sounds of his exertion falling on my ears, the feel of the hard planes of his muscular back as my fingertips brush over his skin.

“Come on, baby. Come for me.” The heat of his breath over the shell of my ear is my final breaking point. The familiar tingle gives way to coiled tension low in my belly. My pussy clamps tight around him and I finally reach the peak, crashing over the edge of euphoria until a pulsing, warm heat spreads throughout my body.

Ash reaches his release seconds after mine, the sounds of his groans reverberating in my ears, the raw, sexual sound of it setting off another wave of pulses as he slows his body moving in mine.

My knees drop open, my feet resting on the bed as he buries his face in the crook of my neck, his cock still flexing inside me. “Fuck, you’re perfect.” His words are muffled, the smile on his face evident by the sound of his voice.

“I’m not perfect.” Shaking my head, Ash lifts his, blue eyes finding mine in the dim light of the room.

“Nobody’s perfect, but you’re perfect for me.”

“Cheesy,” I tease him, a smile on my face.

“Yeah, but you love me for it.”

Without a doubt. “Yeah, I do.

  Two Months Later

  Asher

  “Are you nervous?”

Kara’s head snaps around from the window to face me, the shadows of the street lights passing over her face casting her in an elegant orange glow.

“Why, do I look nervous? How can you tell? Are they going to know I am, too?”

Her mini freak out only makes me love her more. I let out a chuckle and take one hand off the wheel, grabbing hers as it rests on her bare thigh. Lifting it to my mouth, I place a soft kiss again her skin. “Baby, if you're having doubts, we don't have to do this.”

“No, no. This was my idea and despite my nerves, I'm really curious.” I rest our joined hands on my thigh, holding hers in a firm grip. Her knee bounces in time with her foot against the floorboard. “Are you nervous?”

If she had asked me the same question a couple of months ago, my answer might be different. “No. I've done this before, remember?”

A smile pulls at her lips as she rolls her eyes at me. “Don't remind me.”

Stroking my fingertips over her hands, I make the turn onto the long driveway before looking at her. “None of those other times matter. It's just you and me now, and we make the decisions that are best for us. No one else.” I check the road in front of me, making sure it's still clear before looking at her again. “Open, honest, never afraid. Remember?”

It's a motto we live by now. We almost let a misunderstanding end us once, but we've promised each other it won't happen again.

“Yeah,” she nods her, a look of relief crossing her face. “Okay.”

We ride in silence as I guide the car to the house. As soon as I park the car, I kill the engine and climb out, walking around the car to open the door for Kara.

Taking her hand, I help her out of the car, closing the door behind her. “You ready?”

She pulls in a deep breath. “Let’s do this.”

She takes my hand and pulls me along behind her, her nerves gone and her determination setting in. She stops at the bottom of the steps, smoothing out her skirt and together we walk up to the front door.

“It’s not too late to turn back now, if you want.”

“Nope, we’re doing this.” Kara reaches over and presses the button and the bell rings out somewhere inside.

I tug her closer to me. My hand slips first to her neck, then to cup her cheek. “I love you.”

The love in her eyes is mixed with the same lust coursing through my body. “I love you too.”

And I know she does. I know, without a doubt, whatever happens here tonight, happens together.

Pulling her face to mine, our lips tangle in a promise of what’s to come. Her hands tangle in my hair, mine roam over her ass in this fucking sexy as sin skirt, and we lose ourselves to the moment, as we so often do. We lose ourselves so much, we don’t even hear the door open.

“Getting the party started a little early, huh?”

Lane stands in his doorway, a wide grin on his face I only notice when I can finally pull my eyes away from Kara.

“Hey, man.” There’s no explanation for what we’re doing on the porch, so I won’t even try to offer one.

Lane laughs, pulling me in for our typical bro-hug greeting. Kara hugs him to, receiving a kiss on the cheek.

“You look beautiful.” Lane’s compliment entices a flush to spread over Kara’s face, her eyes dropping in embarrassment.

  “Thank you.”

“So, you guys coming in or what?” Lane steps aside in the doorway, his eyes bouncing back and forth between Kara and me. I look to her to lead the way.

“Ready?” Her voice is nervous with a hint of excitement, but the smile that follows eases my nerves.

  I’m definitely ready.

  “After you, beautiful.”
