"That's not all," the women standing next to her said.
"Yes?” Shea said.
"How do we say this? Okay, Kira here is the Seer's mate, and she is also a Seer, but she can see the auras of all the Chosen and their mates. When you walked in the room, she knew right away, who you were. You are the last of the Chosen. You were born on April first right?" Cami said.
Shea nodded absently and then said, "Impossible, I would have been told about this."
Cami nodded and smiled. "That's what we have all said at one time or another, just suck it up cupcake and face the facts. You are a Chosen and we found you, and now we are gonna celebrate," Cami said and grabbed her arm.
Before she knew it, she was in the back of a limo driving down the street. They weren’t in the car for long because they pulled up to a restaurant a few blocks away. Cami continued to pull her, and she found herself in a very nice Italian restaurant. They were led back to a private room. She tried to keep the smile pasted on her face. But when they were in a closed space with men guarding the door, she felt a little uncomfortable.
"So, let's talk,” she said brightly. "What would you like to know about my books?"
Jo laughed and said, “Uh, like everything. First, we have to seriously talk about this whole Chosen thing. We’re safe here. Can I ask about your family?"
Shea narrowed her eyes and looked around. She could lie and say they were dead, but she would feel bad. So she did the only thing she could, tell the truth and convince them she wasn’t the person they thought she was.
"My parents still live in Ireland with my clan," she said and let her accent come out.
Over the years, she had learned to talk slower and hide her accent. It was one of the things she figured out early on, when people found out she was from Ireland; they instantly began to tease her about her height and refer to her as a leprechaun. She could never count the number of times that she wanted to correct them and said 'no fairy'.
"Yes, I was born on the first of April. However, I think you may have me confused with someone else. I mean, my parents would never hide something like that from me," Shea said and sat down at a table.
Lacy laughed and said, “Join the club; I never thought my parents would either, but seriously they did, in order to protect me."
Jordan walked behind the bar that was in the corner and pulled out the blender. "We need a little fortifying. For those who are not pregnant, we have Margaritas, those who are, Sparkling Apple Juice."
And she proceeded to make drinks for them all. When they had finally settled down at the table and had a glass in front of them, Shea said, “Really, I can't see it. My mother can't keep a secret to save her life. When we were young, we knew our Christmas gift's months before we opened them. She couldn't help but tell us. My father used to say that if she had to be a spy, she would be fired on the first day."
Everyone laughed, and Cami held up her hand. "For the sake of argument, let's say that you are one of the Chosen. That means you are something magical, I can't scent you so you aren’t a shifter, what are you?"
Shea paused and looked around the room. She sighed. "Fae."
Cami squealed and said, "Wait, like a fairy?"
She nodded and looked around. The women were looking at her with curiosity. This was going to be a long day, she thought, and picked up her drink.

Quin and the guys were having their own afternoon at the Pack house, playing cards and watching football. They were having a great time too, talking about what they needed to do, and making plans for a nice long vacation, when the phone rang.
Quin frowned when he looked at his cell.
"Jean Paul, what can I do for you?" he said and heard a lot of noise in the background.
He assumed the girls were at the restaurant now since the signing had ended hours ago.
In fact, he had kinda lost track of time; they should be on the road.
"Alpha, uh, we have a bit of a problem," Jean Paul said and then Quin heard his mate in the background yelling.
"Ja Pa, gimme that phone, I will tell him what he needs to know,” Cami slurred and Quin put his thumb and forefinger to him nose, trying not to laugh. "Baby, we have solved all our problems," she said in the phone.
"Really?" Quin said and looked at the men who were staring at him with concern. He shook his head and put his hand over the receiver. "They’re wasted."
"Hey, don't tell them that, I am so not wasted. Any hoo, Jonny here inshi... inchi I mean he made us call you because he is a big ole fraidy cat. And Listen” her voice went down to a conspiratorial whisper, “we found the last Shosen, she is a real-life fairy too.
We got her drinking and she shifted to show us her wings, just cool. Did you know that fairies could get drunk on sparkle apples? Oh, oh and... and... the prego girls were babysitting us until Cloe went into labor. Now she is cussing at us all and inshisting that we call her mates.
We offered to boil water and get things, get things what you do with the boiling water, but she inshits I mean inshists that she isn’t having her kids in a restaunt. So we need you to now come," Cami said and hiccupped.
"Where are the Enforcers?” Quin ground out.
Cami started to giggle.” Now that is a funny story. Don't tell the guys, but we thought we could have this be our practice bache, bachell, our girl party, and did you know. . .
did you know, that fairies could like, use their minds to make you do stuff, kinda like a hyppo person? So anyway. . .anyway, we made Shea to do that to the guys, to you know, let their inhibonshuns down a little, and she made booboo a little. They are uh, sleeping off the magic, well after they did an ahwshum strip teasle for us."
Quin growled and then put the phone on speaker. They had already heard Cami, so they were pulling on their shoes and getting ready to go.
"Give Jean Paul back the phone," he ordered and Cami laughed.
"Sir, I would drive them home, but Cloe said we should wait until we have medical personnel available. We don't have any in town right now," the wolf said a little panicked.
"We’re on our way,” he said brusquely and hung up the phone then dialed it again. "Lev, I need a favor."
Chapter 7
Quin and the other men walked into the restaurant and cringed. They could hear their mates in the back room; thank the gods that Margie and Rodger closed the place for the night. By the sounds of it, the mates were having too good of a time. Then there were the screams of pain.
Darien and Teagan shot around him, running to the back room to get to their mate. She was clearly in labor, if the cussing was an indication.
"So, your mate is a little wild huh?” Lev smirked. He ran the sirens the whole way here.
After Quinn had him pull some strings and let the local force know, they were coming into town fast. They made great time. Of course, it took five cars to get all the men here.
None of them would stay behind. It was kinda funny.
Quin turned and growled at him, and Lev took a step back. "Sorry man."
"No, it’s my fault; I never should have let her out of my sight," Quinn said and stomped to the back room.
It was hilarious, Lev thought, and watched as the men poured into the room to get their mates. Cami and Jo were on the long table dancing with the Enforcers, who had apparently woken up again and were still blasted with Fae power. They were going to be pissed when they woke up tomorrow.
Jaden pulled his mate down and laughed when she began to flail in surprise. The woman was completely toasted. Devon and Sid found Casey in the corner talking to a plant. She had an empty glass in her hand and was asking for a refill.
The women put Cloe on the end of the table with table cloths around her. She was panting, and when her mates got close, she grabbed them each by the front of their shirt, pulled them close to her face, and yelled, "Bastards. I swear if you don't get me some drugs right now, you will be castrated by morning."
Reggie and Levi found Ruby under the table with Jordan laughing hy
sterically at a book.
Romy and Larkin pulled their mate out and were surprised when she pointed to the page and asked if they could do the position that the book described.
Bama was singing badly in her native tongue with a microphone on the small stage in the corner that should have been a dance floor. They all winced when she yelled over the loud speaker. "Hey, you bastardos what are you doing here? Ladies night!"
Skye wandered in through the door leading to what he assumed was the bathroom and announced. "I need snacks, where the hell is the kitchen Truby?"
Kira, Lacy, and Trinity were helping Cloe; they had gotten wet clothes for her head and were trying to help her find a focal point. Of course, they were all looking at her like they were terrified. And as their mates drew closer, they heard them all say that they were not sure that giving birth was a good idea.
Lev stood in the doorway, holding his hand to his mouth as he saw the Enforcers he brought drag the others off the table and throw them their clothes. He wondered how it could get so far out of hand. Then he was thrown against the wall.
A small gorgeous woman pinned the tall man to the wall and looked up at him. "Oh, the pretty man is my mate," she smiled and then laughed. "Look, I can fly you to my hotel, and we can fuck like bunnies all night."
Lev looked at the woman in shock as translucent wings popped out of her back. What the hell? He thought, and then looked around for someone to help him.
"I am one of the 'whosiwatsits' and you are my mate. Shami said that I got to have two, so where is the other one. You know I write sexy things about sex but have never had one sex. I think maybe we need to do the sex things. You know, for me to really know what two men can do for me. What is your name pretty man?" the woman asked him.
"It is Lev, BIG LEV," Cami yelled. "And he went on a date with Big Griff. You know why I call them Big? Cause we have all seen their bulges and are sure they are huge." The Alpha female laughed when Jaden threw her over his shoulder and spanked her butt.
"Enough mate," Jaden growled. And Cami stuck out her tongue to his back.
"We need to get out of here," Quin groaned. "I’m assuming this is Shea Channing."
"That's me!" the small woman turned and yelled holding up her hand and then slumped against Lev. He reached out to catch her, and she giggled when his hands wrapped around her and grabbed both of her breasts from behind. "Look, I’m getting felt up!"
The women all cheered and then the Cloe screamed, "Get me the fuck out of here."
All of them moved quicker, getting the women into the limo and Sid driving, while a few of the males moved people, around so they were all in the car. Lev drove his police car with Shea passed out with her head in his lap. While Cloe, Darien, and Teagan sat in the back and told him to hurry. He turned on his sirens and floored it. He figured getting Cloe to a doctor was more important than waiting for the limo or trucks to catch up.
They had back up now and could follow at normal speeds. Plus speeding down the highway with a bunch of drunken women would probably result in an unholy mess.
Chapter 8
Cami groaned and rolled over into her pillow and buried her face. She felt like shit, why did she feel like shit? She wondered and tried to open her eyes, but the bright sunlight hurt too bad to get them open.
"Ugh, I'm dying!" she muttered and heard a chuckle from behind her.
"Not dying, hung-over, and extremely hung-over at that," Jaden drawled and bounced on the bed causing her head to bounce also. She moaned as the pain rocketed through her head and slapped at her mate.
"Dammit, stop it," she growled.
"Hey, you do the crime; you pay the time. I would guess the rest of the females are in similar situations as you, well at least the ones who drank. Do you remember helping in the birthing room? It was classic." Jaden laughed.
Cami shook her head and then frowned. "Shit, what did she have?"
"I think some of the nurses are still having PTSD about the whole thing, and a boy and girl, named Bree and Alec," Quin growled from the doorway.
Jaden laughed, "Yeah, but it was worth it to see Jo and Cami run around in the baseball catcher's gear, where the hell did they find that anyway?"
Quin walked into the room and talked above her. "Apparently, one of the Enforcers who was smacked with fairy power, wanted to help them. By the way, I have some very pissed-off Enforcers in the infirmary this morning, a little irritated that their inhibitions are still being affected."
Jaden held his hand to his mouth to stop from laughing out loud. The entire night last night was a comedy of errors starting from allowing the women to go to Denver.
Between Cloe going into labor, and some of the others so smashed they practically had to get the leashes out to control them; it had been a nightmare for the men.
"Not my fault. Hey, we found the last Chosen. We had to show her that we were fun instead of all doom and gloom," Cami muttered.
"Oh, she had a good time alright. I think that her new mates are both a little afraid of her though," Jaden smirked.
"What? Mates? Shea has mates, when the fuck did that happen?” Cami said and bolted up from the bed.
Quin caught her, as she would have fallen on her face, tangled in the sheets, and held her firmly to him. He grinned down at her and said, "Holy shit."
"What? What?" she yelled and felt her face. There was no drool or anything, so she thought she was safe.
Quin turned her around so Jaden could see her and they both roared with laughter.
"When did that happen?” Jaden said.
"Must have been when we were in the nursery and taking care of all the others." Quin chuckled and Cami fought her way out of the blankets, in a most unladylike way, and stomped to the bathroom, grumbling. She quickly realized she’d stomped into the walkin closet and then came back in the room, looked around and stomped into the actual bathroom. Quin and Jaden burst into laughter again.
She loved their new home. Living in the new Pack house, they had an entire wing. Their children's rooms were right next door, and the nursery for the nannies to look after them during meetings was now next to the conference room. None of the women would allow their children to be so far away after what happened the last time. So their wing was exactly that, theirs. They had a door separating them from the rest of the house, so if they wanted a night alone, all they had to do was lock themselves in. Cami had taken advantage of it the first night and ravished her mates after asking Jo to babysit.
They had christened every room in the house, and she loved it. Her bathroom held a huge whirlpool bath and a shower big enough to hold all three of them if they wanted, which they did, all the time. Cami stomped to the long mirror hanging in front of the triple sink and screamed. Someone had written 'HEAD BITCH IN CHARGE' in black permanent marker all over her face, and whoever did it had been drunk because they had tried to draw a mustache on her lip and missed, making her eyebrows seem like they were a unibrow.
"Oh, she is dead. D.E.A.D. Fucking toast," Cami screamed and her mates came into the bathroom with her.
"Soap and water." Jaden chuckled and grabbed a washcloth for her. She fumed as her mates attempted to get the offending black marker off her face.
"So, who exactly is dead?” Quin asked curiously.
"Jo and Casey they were both calling me that last night. I think it was last night, ugh; I need orange juice and aspirin and a gallon of coffee and breakfast. Then I shall be kicking some wolf-ass. Maybe I’ll grab the razor." Cami plotted.
"NO" her men yelled firmly. "You got yourself into this mess; you can accept the consequences. Besides, you had to hold still for it, maybe in your drunkenness you asked them to do that. Now, most of it is gone or faded. Let's order up some food, and then we’ll go see the babies," Quin said and Cami continued to grumble and plan her friend's downfall.
Cami went and checked on the children, who were playing in their room. She smiled.
They were so advanced, being shifter babies and Chosen childr
en, that Cami was constantly surprised at the changes they made every day. She wondered what she was going to do when they got older. She loved them when they were babies and all cuddly.
Hope looked up at her and smiled. "Ma!" she cried, and the boys turned and clapped.
"Well, that’s a welcome. How are my angels this morning?” she asked and bent down and kissed them.
She played with them for a few minutes until she heard the food was coming, and then she picked them up and carried them one by one to the table, giving them each a little cuddle time with her. Jaden and Quin crooned over their children, and they talked about playtime they had had this morning.
As Cami looked around the table, she realized how thankful she was for all that she had.
Her children and her mates, without them, she had no idea where she would be.
"Why the serious look?” Quin asked and scooped up a fork full of pancakes and held it out to her, feeding her from his plate. She loved it when he took care of her like that.
"Nothing, just thinking how lucky I was that we found each other," Cami said with a sigh.
"Ha! Found each other my ass. You came barreling into my office and was screaming about the lease on the bookstore and not keeping a meeting," Quin laughed.
"Well, you were an arrogant asshole then. Remember our first date?" she laughed.
"Of course I do, Dinner at Margie and Rog's. You couldn't figure out how I ordered the meal," she grinned.
"Well, I didn't know anything about wolves then," she pouted.
"And then mon cœur I came along and completed your unfulfilled life in so many ways,"
Jaden said sweetly and then fed her some of his strawberries. The children kissed their cheeks when the nanny came to clean up their sticky hands.
She laughed. "Yes Jaden, you did. I remember when I first saw you in the living room of the apartment. I thought I was a freaky slut.” Cami laughed.
"You were, but you were our freaky slut," Jaden said and then looked at Quin. "I was so glad to find out that Quin was my mate also."
Cami looked at the loving look they shared and grinned. "Yeah, and hot man sex is awesome!"
