“Hey...stop looking at my girl’s ass.” Jim nudged Will and laughed.

“I was looking at Marcy’s ass not Marti’s.” Will winked back... Then gulped as both women had turned and were glaring at the men.

Both women had their hands on their hips and frowned in the direction of the fire. Marti wiggled one finger at the men.

“I suppose you all are happy now that you got to drool over us?” This drew many whistles and smiles as the men teasingly applauded. Marti stood directly in front of Jim by a few yards and threw her left hip outward.

“Well if you insist on leaving so soon, get a good look as this is going to be your last for quite a while.”

Marcy was laughing at Marti’s teasing, then a strange look crossed her face and she glared at Will. “So you were looking at my ass were you? Did you get a good look?”

At first Will was taken back at Marcy’s abruptness, he grinned sheepishly.

“Well, actually no.” This brought roaring laughs form the men including Jim.

Marti walked over to Jim and bent down and stared him in the eye.

“Oh so you think that’s funny?’ Jim just swallowed hard and looked at the floor.

“If you’re going to watch anyone’s ass mister... it damned well better be mine!” She leaned in and kissed him on the forehead and wiggled her ass back over to Marcy to the laughter of the group.

Will looked at Jim, “What the hell just happened?” he asked.

Jim roared with laughter, “My friend, YOU have just been tagged and bagged.” The guys around the fire laughed.

The joking was done and Marcy handed Marti something the others could not see. Marti turned... In her hand was a crossbow that she had fashioned out of some spring steel and fine wire cable from the aircraft that Marti had shown her. Both women held crossbows out in front of them.

Marcy smiled, “Now on the other hand, these babies will go much farther than twenty feet.”

“Marcy’s right guys, after we built one we tried them out in the cargo bay and these aluminum bolts we made stuck into an empty fifty-five gallon drum at over seventy-five feet. We paced it off. We made the bolts from three-eight’s aluminum stock. That we had plenty of...”

Marti frowned, “Sadly we had only enough spring steel to make four bows. We’ll keep one here and...”

Spider smiled, “Keep two senorita Marti. With this flamethrower you made for us, one of us will have to carry that and an extra bow will be too much weight if we have to run.”

Jim nodded, “Spider’s right girls. Those of us going will have to take turns carrying the heavier flamethrower and...”

Bill grinned and laid his hand on Jim’s shoulder.

“Hey old buddy... Hell, I’m not needed here anymore since we stripped the plane. I’ll take the third bow and come along. You can use an extra pair of eyes on this trip and I can help navigate.”

Jim nodded in agreement. “Ok then it’s settled, Will, Bill, Spider and myself will start day after tomorrow... Hopefully we’ll find another way off this mountain.”

Two more men stood and volunteered and after some debate, Jim agreed these two would join the party. If they did find food of some kind, like fruit or prehistoric vegetables, the two extra men could be used to carry the extra things they found. This way if it wasn’t too dangerous, a return trip could be put off a bit longer, and the more they could return with. As before Jim’s accident, it was Rocky and Amal that volunteered and were again accepted into the party.

The rest of the evening was spent talking about home and other things they missed. Strangely almost to the person, they one by one admitted the excitement of being here was becoming addictive. All agreed, while the losses they had were terrible, the adrenaline from being ever vigilant and all the danger was exciting. Even the setting up of the camp was stimulating... Survival at its most extreme, the luxury of having basic needs fulfilled, all they had accomplished was intoxicating.

For the women it was their chance to shine beyond themselves. They had created weapons that proved they could reach far beyond what they had every dreamed they could achieve. And the miners, who always had faced danger, now faced a new terrifying danger. For all survival was paramount and succeeding so was exciting.

Now if they could just find a way out, they admitted, they would gladly give up this ‘thrill’ without reservation.

The evening wore on and one by one the people began to retire. Marti slowly got to her feet, bent down and grasped Jim‘s had and pulled him to his feet. She gave him a gentle kiss on his lips and began pulling him behind her. She looked over her shoulder and smiled.

“Marcy told me she’d sleep in your place from now on so we can be alone.”

This brought a few soft whistles and chuckles from the miners. Marti stopped, turned, and looked her love in the eyes.

“Baby why don’t you run over there and get those sound pads we striped from the plane.”

“Honey? Those pads line the fuselage to deaden the sound of the engines. They wouldn’t be very comfortable.” But Jim did as she asked and as he picked up the long, well padded fiber-filled blankets. Marti sighed and winked.

“Silly, they’re for you to put up behind the tarp...” she swung around and walked toward the short passage between the two larger caves. She got there and pulled the tarp aside to the smaller cave the girls had been using.

“...I tend to moan a lot...” she pursed her lips and vanished beyond the tarp. From within came a soft sexy voice. “...and loudly.” Then almost in a purr, she added, “Better bring all of them.”

Jim heard teasing ‘Oooo’s’ and snickers from the guys. He turned toward the tarp, stooped and grasped the last sound blanket and hurried to join his new love.

As he neared the tarp, Will shouted loudly over the raucous laughter, “Hurry baby, hurry!”

Jim flipped Will the bird, but his feeble gesture was over-shadowed by Marti peeking through the tarp as she pulled the heavy curtain about her obviously naked body and looked out into the main antechamber at Will.

“Tease my baby if you must Will...” she sighed deeply and wetted her lips with her tongue slowly, “...Unlike you... Jim will be enjoying something else tonight... other than his hand.”

There was roaring laughter from the entire group, including Will. He gave Jim a little, two fingered salute and a wink. He looked down at his hand and snorted playfully, “What the hell are you looking at... We have work to do.”

Will looked up to see Marcy standing wide legged in front of him, hands on her hips. She slowly bent down to make sure Will saw she had unbuttoned another button and as her blouse fell open a ways, she grasped his hand. She pulled Will to his feet and slowly placed it around her waist and began to lead Will toward Jim’s sleeping area at the highest part at the rear of the cave where no one could see up to. Marcy cooed.

“I, on the other hand don’t give a rip who hears me moan!”

To that the miners all gave the new pair a round of applause and laughter.

Marcy smiled at the guys still at the fire and then those lying on their sleeping ledges.

“Sorry guys, I made up my mind and I’m a one man gal.”

That brought many sighs and moans of disappointment. The women had made their choices and the guys all realized, that was it. Unless the exploration party found some good looking cave women... More than ever the miners wanted to get off this mountain ASAP!

They soon found out two things...

The first was... Marcy was a screamer!

The second was... Marcy really didn’t care who heard her.

But the miners didn’t care either...it reminded them of home.

  Chapter 7.

The following morning neither couple arose with the rest of the miners. They had already eaten when the first of the couples rolled out of their sleeping ledge. Marcy and Will slowly walked over to the main fire to a loud round of applause.

Will stumbled to one of the rock seats and sat. Marcy
poured him a cup of coffee, and then got another one for her as well. She sat beside her new love as she looked around at all the grinning faces.

“Well guys, looks like you all had some sound effects last night...and by the looks of it, got a little work out as well.” She roared with laughter, “Between my screaming and all of your moans...”

The guys began to look anywhere but at her. Marcy giggled, “Hell guys, I don’t mind. You can look, you can hear, you can... Well let’s just keep it at you can look and hear... the rest is up to you.” She winked at the group. Marcy got up, got a refill, and sleepily plopped down next to her new love. No sooner had she done so, the tarp opened and Marti and Jim walked out. Again another round of thunderous applause.

Jim plopped down and grabbed the pot of coffee and poured his love and himself a cup. Marti looked around the group and timidly asked, “And the applause was for?”

Marcy snickered loudly, “Well let’s just say those sound proof blankets sure as hell didn’t muffle a thing.”

Marti began to blush and strangely Jim found himself blushing as well.

“Seems neither of you two can have a go without screaming your fucking heads off.” Marcy took a swig of coffee.

Bill nodded, “Yeah, between the four of you...”

“Four?” Marti and Jim sputtered together.”

Marcy smiled, “Yeah, Will and I decided to bunk together from now on.”

  Jesus chuckled, “Loudly!”

Will laughed, “Yeah, Marcy let me know last night that I didn’t have a choice.”

Marcy elbowed Will hard in the ribs. “Well I sure as hell didn’t hear you protesting a whole lot last night!”

The men roared with laughter. Armondo began handing the late comers each a plate of food.

“You all sure kept us up all night long with all that moaning.” Again laughs.

Marcy looked at Armondo, “Seems like we weren’t the only ones moaning last night.”

Armondo looked sheepishly at Marcy, handed her a plate and hurried off to more laughs. Then as she looked around the group of men, one by one they stopped laughing.

“Good God! All of you? ...You did... Really all?” Her question brought only sheepish grins.

“What the hell is going on?” Jim asked as Marti laid her weary head on his shoulder and looked quite puzzled by the ongoing chatter.

Marcy winked and whispered in Marti’s ear. Marti leaned back and looked at Marcy and then the group of men sitting around.

“Really? All night whenever we...or you two... Really?” she looked over the group once more, and then smiled warmly.

“Well, guess it won’t hurt as there aren’t enough of us girls to go around.” She smiled as she winked at the miners.

The still half-asleep Jim looked at Will with a puzzled look and Will just grinned.

“I’ll explain later.” He took another slug of coffee and headed out of the cave with a grin.

The miners smiled at the girls and arose to get about the days chores. Preparations for tomorrow’s journey was to be done, lookouts to be posted. Even safe above the valley below, they took no chances... Enough lives had been lost already.

The four lovers accompanied by two advanced scouts headed back to the aircraft, which just as Jim had been told, had indeed been moved further toward the end of the valley by over fifty feet. The remaining wing had been ripped off when the flood had dislodged it from the massive boulder it had come to rest upon during the crash. The huge wing and one of the two engines laid fifty feet beyond the plane. The aircraft’s huge, raisable tail section had been ripped off and was nowhere to be found.

“That must have been some flood to carry that huge engine and tail section over the cliff.” Jim muttered.

One of the miners in the lead looked back and grinned, “Maybe someone will find those pieces and send help.”

Jim frowned, “Not likely... Beyond that waterfall, there are at least another fifty miles of mountains, then foothills and then jungle. I’m afraid it’s going to be up to us to get home. We pulled the transponder and it was fried. That lightning strike got inside the aircraft somehow instead of passing over the fuselage.”

Suddenly the two scouts froze and the rest did the same. From the front of the plane’s nose walked one human-sized dinosaur.

Will looked over slowly toward Jim. “Is...Is that a Raptor?

Marti slowly stepped toward Jim as she whispered, “Well, it looks like they got the looks right in the movies... Let’s hope they aren’t as fast as...”

The Raptor suddenly gave a strange warbling cry and then jumped forward as it burst into a fast run.

“Run!” One miner shouted and both turned and ran toward the four behind them. The one that shouted took two steps and tripped over a loose rock and fell. The Raptor that had been headed for the group of four, now changed direction and headed toward the fallen miner. The miners friend turned and grabbed his arm and tried to pull the flailing man up to his feet, but instead both fell to the rocky creek bed as both Raptors now quickly approached.

“TWANG!” A bolt shot past one miners shoulder by less than a foot and buried itself into the chest of the Raptor. The first Raptor stumbled and fell as the second Raptor stopped and looked at its fallen partner. It gave a shrill barking like call, turned and bit down on the still twitching body of the wounded Raptor.

“TWANG!” A second bolt ripped into the head of the second Raptor just behind and below the eye and it dropped instantly atop its dead companion.

The two miner scouts looked back toward the two couples. There in the front stood Jim holding his crossbow and to his right, stood Marti, holding hers.

Marti looked over to Jim and teased, “I got mine in the head... Looks like you were aiming for its nuts.” She teased knowing Jim’s heart shot was well placed.

Marcy giggled and winked, “WOW! That was a great shot Marti.”

Marti lowered her bow and frowned as she laughed, “Yeah...but to be honest I was aiming at the neck, I thought the bolt wouldn’t penetrate the skull.”

Will lowered his bow and nodded. “Well girls, seems you two built some powerful weapons here. I didn’t even get to shoot mine.”

As the two miners got up they pulled their machetes Marti had ground out of some stainless steel and slowly approached the two dead Raptors. The one miner that had fallen first grinned and looked at Jim.

“I wonder if they taste like chicken?”

Marcy walked up to the pile of Raptors. “We’ll never know until we try.” And with that she took the machete from the miner and swung downward.

“Holy shit! These things are thick skinned.”

After a few laughs, the miner managed to cut through the skin of the top Raptor’s leg and after carefully cutting through the joint, he hefted the leg up to his shoulder.

“Damn...this would make one hell of a Hot Wing.” The other miner, rolled the Raptor, cut through the other leg and headed back to the cave on Jim’s orders.

Will and Jim began to carve the next Raptor when there was a loud road from the jungle. Marcy grasped the kneeling Will’s shirt by the collar.

“I think old Rex smells dinner...RUN!”

The four turned and ran as fast as they could, caught up to the two miners and helped them carry the Raptor legs. Fifty feet from the lift cage, Rex ripped through the jungle’s edge and ran at top speed at the smell of blood... This was good as the carved Raptors and the ground around them was soaked much more that the two Raptor drumsticks the party was trying to carry.

By the time they reached the cage, Rex had swallowed the first Raptor and had the second in this mouth. The six got into the cage and shouted over the walky-talky for the dozer driver to get off his ass and pull.

Rex took a large gulp and sniffed the ground. Suddenly he straightened up to his full height and sniffed the air... He looked directly at the cage and broke into a run.

“Ahhh, fuck me...” Marcy sputtered, “Christ look at the bastard run.

Will shouted into the walky-talky, “Get us up, or we’re going to be Rex’s dessert.”

Over the shouts, the rumbling and crashing of rocks beneath its feet, the Tyrannosaurus rex could be heard getting closer as it raced over the rocky creek bed. Above they could hear the roar of the dozer’s engine. Closer and closer Rex neared as the cage slowly raised until...

  Will panted, “We’re...higher...than its head...”

Rex never slowed and then as it got to the cliff face it took a jump and its nose barely brushed the bottom of the cage. The entire cage shook violently as Rex hit the wall and nearly tore the rails from the mounts. The six stood hanging onto the four-foot railing of the cage as it got farther away from the beast below. Everyone looked around at the others, who were gripping onto the rail so hard their knuckles were white. Jim looked down at the T-rex below as it looked up at them.

“Note to self...” Jim muttered, “... Tell the stupid movie makers those sons a bitches can jump!”

Will looked down and shook his head. “Somehow Marti, I have a sneaking hunch, no matter how sharp they are, these bolts are not going to hurt that thing... maybe piss it off.”

Marti frowned, and then a smile broke out on her lips.

“You know guys... This gives me something to work on while you’re gone on your little trip.”

The cage finally reached the crest of the ledge and locked into the cage support at the top and the party stepped out to see everyone standing around. A quick story and it was back to work... except for Armondo who quickly led the miners, and the huge Raptor legs, inside the cave.

As evening rolled around and the cave was locked up for the night, there was a strange, but wonderful smell, that wafted throughout the cave. As they gathered for dinner, there upon the main fire was a make shift grill. Upon the grill cooked many Raptor steaks and over them stood Armondo sprinkling some sort of seasoning on them.

Jesus was leaning against the wall and grinned at the approaching crowd.
