Bonds of Need Page 27

by Lynda Aicher

The moment was as gentle and quiet as the room and Deklan wanted to cherish it like he did her. There was more to them than the whips and wild passion that had first brought them together. There was this too.

“Deklan.” Kendra ran her fingers through his hair, sending chills over his neck and shoulders.

“Yes,” he mumbled around the kisses he left on his way down to the low line of her lacy black thong.

  “I love you.”

“I know.” And he did. Sucking in a breath of courage, he slipped his hand into his pocket and removed the slim chain. He kept it hidden in his fist and looked up so she could see how much she meant to him. “I don’t know how or why, but I don’t doubt that you do.”

She smiled, her eyes dancing. “I could say the same.”

He smoothed his palm over her flat and toned stomach, marveling at each muscle that showed. “I have something for you.”

  “Oh? What’s that?”

The heater clicked on in the background, filling the room with its low purr, and Deklan took one more breath. This couldn’t be wrong, not when it felt so right. Plunging forward, he circled her waist, the chain dangling from his hand where she couldn’t see. Keeping his eyes on hers, he brought the ends of the long gold chain around her slim hips and held it together in front.

“You’re mine, Kendra. As much as I’m yours.”

Her eyes shimmered, the blue sparkling in the light as her chest rose and fell in long breaths. His leg shook, his nerves getting the best of him when they’d never once beaten him, even during his most dangerous mission.

“Will you?” He held the ends together in one hand so he could run his free hand over her stomach once again. “Can I claim you like this? In a way that is just between us?”

“Oh.” The breathy sound trembled, just as her hands did where they rested on his shoulders. “I swore I’d never wear a collar after...him. But this.” She ran her fingers over the gold links pressed to her side. “This. For you. Yes.”

His breath expelled in a wave that had him tipping forward to rest his forehead on her ribs. “Thank you,” he said against her skin.

He managed to make his fingers work, fumbling the tiny clasp until it was finally secured. The chain settled low to rest on her hipbones, forming a sleek golden ring just over the line of her thong.

  It was perfect.

He rose and claimed what was his. Her lips yielded under his, letting his tongue in to taste her sweetness. The lingering flavor of the champagne blended with her heat and tempted him to seek more. She was all warmth and goodness when he’d thought he’d never have either.

She pulled back, one hand grasping his arm as the other dropped to stroke the chain. She looked down and he followed to watch her sleek red nail click over the tiny links. “It’s nice. Perfect.” Her eyes met his. “How’d you know?”

Finally something easy to answer. “Because I know you, Kendra. This is about us. This chain is stronger than any cuff that could bond me to you. But only you need to know that. Every time you feel it against your skin, you’ll remember how much you mean to me. You’re my love. My life. Forever.”

“Deklan,” she breathed. She skimmed her fingers over his lips, the soft tips leaving a trail of longing behind. “I am yours. Make love to me.”

  Like she had to ask.

“Every day,” he growled and swooped her into his arms to carry her to the large bed in the adjoining room.

He set her down on the silky bedspread before shedding his monkey suit. She laughed when he fumbled with his tie, and he shot her a devious look as he tossed the object to land across her waist in a taunting promise. Her laughter died and she squirmed against the covers.

  “Strip, Kendra.”

A seductive smiled curled over her lips. “Yes, Deklan.”

She lifted her hips, the chain sliding toward her navel as she took her time easing her tiny thong down her long legs. He stalled on his own task, his hands immobile on his zipper. He was too entranced by his sub’s provocative striptease. She knew exactly what she was doing.

Fuck. How in the hell did he get so lucky?

Her little lace bra smacked him in the chest, firing him back into motion. He was naked in two seconds flat and was sprawled over the top of her in the next. She laughed, her joy filling her face and dancing in her eyes.

She was warm and supple beneath him, and he couldn’t get close enough. He grabbed her hands, holding them over her head in one of his so he could run his free hand down the length of her arm. He tweaked her nipple, playing with her beautiful jewelry. Someday soon he’d add to that collection. There was so much that could be done with a simple chain attached to each loop.

She moaned her pleasure, arching into his touch, and he gave her a smile of promise. “Soon.”

“Now,” she demanded, winding her legs around him to ride her moist pussy over his erection.

“Fuck.” He couldn’t argue with her. Not tonight. Instead he kissed her, showing her exactly how crazy she made him. She kept up her slow grinding motion until he pulled back, diving for a condom. “Keep your hands up.” He looked back to see her obeying, her wrists crossed right where he’d left them over her head. She was a vision of submissive splendor.

He couldn’t get the condom on fast enough. Not for her.

Settling between her legs, he lifted her hips and sank into her. Finally. His head dropped back as the tight, hot wetness that was her surrounded him. She felt so damn good.

  “Deklan,” she breathed.

“Kendra,” he said back, easing down to hold her close. He rocked against her, loving the way her mouth parted and her eyes darkened with each slow thrust. He wanted this to last. “Fuck. This is perfect.” It was so much better than that, but he didn’t have a word for it. Or maybe he did.

  Home.

  With Kendra, he was home.

  About the Author

Lynda Aicher has always loved to read. It’s a simple fact that has been true since she discovered the words of Judy Blume at the age of ten. After years of weekly travel as a consultant implementing computer software for global companies, she ended her nomadic lifestyle to raise her two children.

Now, her imagination is her only limitation on where she can go and her writing lets her escape from the daily duties of being a mom, wife, chauffeur, scheduler, cook, teacher, volunteer, cleaner and mediator. If writing wasn’t a priority, it wouldn’t get done.
