LEGEND: A Dark High School Bully Romance (Rosewood High Book 7) Page 14

by Tracy Lorraine

  “Ky, fuck.”

“I could eat you all fucking night, Kitten.”

“Kyle,” she squeals as she falls over the edge. My scalp burns as she pulls my hair harder, her back arches and throws her head back. “Oh my God,” she chants as her entire body convulses in the center of the bed.

I don’t stop licking at her until she’s come down from her high, then I sit up, wipe my mouth with the back of my hand and launch myself over her.

My lips find her neck as I kiss, suck and bite at her sweet skin.

“Kyle,” she cries, clawing at my back as I tease her.

“I’m going to fucking ruin you, Kitten,” I promise before tucking my fingers under the straps of her dress and pulling the top half down to expose her tits.

I graze my teeth over her collarbone and work my way down, not wanting to leave an inch of her skin untouched by me.

Her dress ends up in a pile on the floor, followed soon after by her shoes before I go down on her again but I remain fully dressed.

With my hands wrapped around her tiny waist, I bring her to orgasm again with just my tongue speared inside her.

She fists the sheets beneath her as she rides it out, my name a plea on her lips.

“Fuck yeah, Kitten,” I growl. “Who fucking owns you?”

“You do,” she answers eagerly after so many orgasms at my hands—and mouth.

  “Say it.”

  “You do, Kyle.”

  “I do what, Kitten?”

  “You fucking own me, Kyle.”

Lifting up from her pussy, I don’t bother wiping my mouth, instead, my hand finds her throat and my lips slam down on hers. She moans as she tastes herself but she doesn’t try to pull away, instead, she sucks my tongue into her mouth making me wish it was my cock again.

“I fucking own you, Kitten. You. Are. Mine.”

“Yes, yes,” she pants, her eyes barely open after the number of releases I’ve dragged out of her and the amount of vodka she’s drank.

“And don’t fucking forget it.” I look to my left and find a pair of eyes trained on me, just like I knew they were. A smile curls at my lips before I dive for her once more just to nail the point home.

  Harley

I roll over and the feeling of the covers tickling my skin where it usually wouldn’t is my first sign that something isn’t right. The second is the fucking marching band in my head. The third, that’s my stomach turning over, but that’s not to do with the vodka so much but with the speed of my memories from last night hit me.

I push up on my elbow, ready to run toward wherever the nearest bathroom might be but the second I open my eyes and find Nathan staring at me from the couch, I freeze.

  “Fuck,” I breathe.

“‘Morning.” He sits forward, resting his elbows on his knees, but he keeps his eyes on me.

I want the bed to swallow me whole as I pull the sheets tighter to my naked chest.

  “H-how are you feeling?”

“Better than I should.” His voice is cold in a way I’ve never heard before and it makes my stomach sink.

The silence stretches out uncomfortably between us but still, I can’t find anything to say to him as shame burns through me.

“I saw you.” His words make my breath catch. “I saw you… with him. I… I heard you… with him.”

I swallow but my mouth is so fucking dry that I can’t even do that.

  “I-I’m sorry.”

“Is that why you ran the other night? Because of him?”

  “No, I—”

He pins me with a look. “Don’t lie to me, Harley. It’s too late for that. Did you run the other night because of him?”

“Y-yes. I’m sorry,” I add in a rush like it might actually make any of this any better.

“Who is he?” Nathan asks, his brows furrowing as if just asking the question itself is painful.

“A boy from my past. He only arrived in town last week. I had no idea he was coming.”

  “He an ex?”

“N-no.” I hesitate and hate myself for it. “I mean, something had happened before he went…” I trail off, for some reason not willing to share everything about Kyle with him. “But we were never together.”

  “I guess we weren’t either.”

I sit up in bed trying to keep myself covered as I move.

  “Nathan, I’m so so—”

“Don’t,” he barks, pushing to stand. “You’re right. We never said we were exclusive. I guess I just assumed—”

  “I didn’t mean to,” I say in a rush.

“No, maybe you didn’t. But you did it anyway. While I was passed out right there.” He points to the couch and my entire face flames.

Of course I knew he was there, I was grinding down on his lap when Kyle walked in.

Fucking hell, Harley. You’re nothing but the cheer slut everyone assumes you are.

  “If you hadn’t—”

  “Don’t turn this on me.”

“I’m not, I’m just saying, that you’d taken… whatever, and you passed out on me. If you didn’t, then—”

“Then what, all three of us could have had some fun? You know that was what he wanted, right?”

  “No, I—”

“When he whispered in my ear when we were dancing. He was setting it up for the three of us…”

“And you agreed?” I ask, my eyes almost popping out of my head.

“I was wasted, Harley. I’d have agreed to anything last night.”

“Fucking hell,” I mutter as I drop my head into my hands. “I’m so sorry for dragging you into this mess.”

“I just wish you’d have told me the truth. I like you, Harley, but I don’t want to get in the middle of anything.”

  “It isn’t anything,” I argue.

He shakes his head as if it’s the most ridiculous thing he’s ever heard.

“It is though, isn’t it? You wouldn’t let me touch you because of him, and you let him do all that while I’m in the room without second thought.”

  “I was drunk.”

“It doesn’t matter, Harley. What you told him last night was true.”

“W-what did I tell him?” I might be able to vividly picture a number of things that happened right here on this bed last night but I could have said literally anything to him during that time.

“That you’re his. He’s sure left enough evidence behind.” He nods down to my chest and I lower the sheets a little.

“Jesus,” I mutter, staring down at all the marks littering my skin.

“I’m just going to…” He trails off as he walks to the door.

  “I’m sorry, Nathan. Really, sorry.”

“It was fun while it lasted, Harley. Take care of yourself.”

Pressure builds behind my eyes as I watch him slip from the room but I hold back my sobs until the door closes behind him and I know he’s far enough away not to hear me.

I pull the covers over my head and cry for all the stupid mistakes I’ve made that involve Kyle freaking Legend over the past year. Last night being up there as the worst.

I have no idea how long I lie there crying to myself, but my eyes sting from my tears when there is a knock at the door.

“Harley, it’s me. Can I come in?” Hearing Ruby’s voice only makes me cry harder.

“Yeah,” I call out, my voice cracking with emotion.

“Hey, Nathan said you were in here and that you might need a friend.”

She walks over to the bed and sits on the edge, her face full of sympathy.

  “What happened?”

  “I fucked up. Big time.”

“Too much vodka?” she asks, trying to make light of the situation.

“Way, way, way too much vodka.”

“Oh sweetie. Come here.” She pulls me into her arms and I cry on her shoulder.

“I really hurt him. He didn’t deserve that.”

She rubs my back in comfort. “He’s okay, Har.”

  “Is… is Kyle still here?”

“I haven’t seen him since early last night.”

I wish my heart didn’t sink like it does knowing that he snuck out after everything.

“You want to talk about it?”

“Yeah, but I really need to get dressed and get out of here.”

“Okay, how about we go back to your house, you can change and then we go for breakfast?”

“Not at Ace’s,” I say in a rush. I don’t want to see anyone.

  “Okay, whatever you want.”

She slides to the end of the bed and leans down.

“You need this?” she asks, handing my dress over.

“This,” I say, snatching it from her. “Was a mistake.”

  “You can’t blame the dress.”

“I can and I will.” I throw the fabric over my head and shimmy it down my body without flashing Ruby.

“Do I need to ask what happened to your panties?” she asks as I climb from the bed, clearly failing in my mission not to expose myself.

“Use your imagination,” I mutter, walking to the other side of the room and opening a door that I really hope leads to an en suite. My entire body aches, but nowhere more so than the muscles in my inner thighs. What the hell did he do to me last night?

My cheeks burn as I remember watching him between my legs. I squeeze my thighs together as the memory of just how his tongue felt against me.

I knock my palm against my forehead, hoping that it knocks the thoughts straight out of my head.

The sight of Nathan’s toiletries sitting around the sink does nothing for my regrets.

I make use of the toilet before finger brushing my teeth in the hope of freshening my mouth up and rejoining Ruby.

  “Ready?”

“Any chance of sneaking me out of a back door?”

“We can try but I need to tell Ash that we’re leaving.”

“You do that. I’ll meet you at your car.”

“Okay. Here,” she says, pulling her keys from her purse. “I won’t be long.”

  “Thank you,” I say sincerely.

“Always, Har.” She kisses my cheek before disappearing out of the door and allowing me a few seconds to compose myself before attempting to sneak out and not get caught doing the walk of shame in last night’s dress.

By some miracle, I actually make it out of the house unseen and I’m hiding in Ruby’s car when she emerges from the front door—unlike me who snuck out the back—a few minutes after shutting myself inside.

“Ready to leave last night behind?” she asks me.

“So ready. Any chance I can leave my memories here too?”

“That bad?” she asks, glancing at me after starting the engine so she doesn’t miss the blush that covers my face and down my neck which of course only highlights the many, many hickies I’m rocking. “Oh my God. How did I miss those upstairs?”

  “Can we not?”

“Did he try to eat you?” she jokes, clearly remembering my words to her not so long ago.

“He did, a few times,” I admit, much to her amusement.

“Harley Hunter, you naughty little slut.”

  “Like you can talk.”

“Hey, I’m not denying anything.” She chuckles. “Just tell me… was jailbait good?”

“Fucking hell, just drive. I need to shower and get out of this dress.”

“You’re right. You smell like sex.”

  “I’m pretty sure that’s you.”

  “Nope, I showered.”

“Great, so I guess I’m guilty then.”

Ruby continues to laugh lightly at my expense as she backs out of Justin’s driveway and heads for my house.

“I got out of Justin’s unnoticed. I’m not going to have the same luck here, am I?” I ask, seeing both Mom and Zayn’s cars sitting in the driveway.

“Only one way to find out.” But instead of reaching for the door, Ruby throws herself between the seats and reaches for something. “Here, put this on. If Zayn sees you, he’s gonna throw a fit.”

“Thanks,” I say, taking her hoodie and shoving my arms into it.

Once I’ve covered up as much as I can, I blow out a long, calming breath before pushing the door open and climbing out.

The house is in silence as we step in through the front door, but it only lasts so long because footsteps soon head our way.

“‘Morning, girls. Good night?” Mom asks, looking between the two of us.

  “Yeah,” I lie. “Excuse me.”

I take off for the stairs knowing that Mom’s concerned eyes follow me.

After a couple of seconds, Ruby catches up with me.

“You should just speak to her, hear her out.”

“I will, when I’m not hungover and drowning in regrets.”

“Oh come on, it couldn’t have been that bad.”

“Not that bad?” I ask, turning on her the second we’re in the safety of my bathroom. “The boy I hate went down on me, again and again, while my boyfriend was passed out on the couch. And the kicker… said boyfriend was apparently watching.”

  Ruby’s chin drops.

  “He watched?”

“I don’t think he actually watched for entertainment, I think he came to and happened to find us doing… well, that.” I walk over to my closet to pull out some clean clothes.

“Did you fuck him?” Her question stops me in my tracks.

“No. Well, I don’t think so.” I risk a glance over at her standing beside my bed with her hands on her hips.

  “You don’t think so?”

“I mean, I remember… things. But I don’t remember that. Although I don’t remember falling asleep or him sneaking out either, so…”

“You’d know if you did. You’d feel it.”

  “Well, that’s reassuring, I guess.”

“Go shower. We need pancakes before we talk about this anymore.”

“I couldn’t agree more. You okay while I shower?”

  “Take your time.”

I turn the shower on hotter than I usually have it, strip out of my dress and stand under the spray, wincing as the water stings my skin but I don’t turn it down. I need it to help rid me of the memories and sensations of last night.

I scrub at every inch of my skin, trying to wash him from me, sadly it does little for what’s in my head.

Once I’m done, I take off what’s left of last night’s makeup and pull on a pair of leggings and an oversized sweater that I can hide in. I refuse to look in the mirror at my reflection, I don’t want to see the magnitude of my mistakes.

“Feel better?” Ruby asks the second I rejoin her back in my room.

  “No.”

She waits patiently while I blow dry my hair and apply a little makeup to make myself look less like death.

“Come on then, the syrup is calling.”

“Where do you want to go?” Ruby asks as we make our way down the stairs.

“Anywhe— shit,” I mutter under my breath when a very familiar voice filters up to me. “He’s here.”

“So? Hold your head up high and walk straight past him. Don’t let him see he affects you.”

“I wasn’t intending to,” I snap, making Ruby wince. “Sorry. He just drives me a little insane.”

  “I’ve noticed.”

“Come on.” I throw my hair over my shoulder and continue down, knowing that the second I look into the kitchen, I’m going to find him with Zayn.

“‘Morning, sis. How’s the head?” I look at Zayn, refusing to meet his burning stare but my skin tingles as Kyle leisurely checks me out.

“Fine thanks, bro.” I narrow my eyes at him.

“Ruby.” Zayn nods at her over my shoulder. “Going somewhere nice?”

“We’re going for breakfast,” Ruby says over my shoulder.

“Do we need a word about where you went with your boyfriend last night?” Zayn asks me.

“Oh yeah,” I hiss. “Just like we need to talk about where yo
u and Poppy often disappear to.”

“Hey, I’ll tell you anything you need to know about what we get up to.”

I faux gag at his words.

“I’m pretty sure he broke up with you last night, didn’t he, Harley?” Kyle asks so sweetly it makes me want to jam a kitchen knife through his eye socket.

“Oh?” Zayn asks, looking between the two of us.

“I’m not discussing this with you,” I mutter, turning my back on my brother and marching toward the front door and storming through it.

I rip open Ruby’s passenger door and drop down onto the seat before she’s even left my house.

“He looked at you like he wanted to take you against the wall.”

“I don’t want to know. I didn’t look at him for a reason. Can we please talk about something else? What did you do last night?”

Ruby lets out a sigh before starting the engine and heading to the other side of town to ensure we don’t see anyone.

  Kyle

I’m still smiling to myself as the door slams behind a pissed off Harley. Knowing exactly what her baggy sweater was covering and who put it all there makes something flutter inside me.

“She’s a bitch when she’s hungover,” Zayn mutters, going back to making our coffees.

I shouldn’t have accepted his invitation to come and hang out today, but the thought of being here and seeing how Harley was this morning was an offer I couldn’t resist.

“Most girls are,” I mutter, trying to swallow down my real reaction that her feistiness made me hard. Fuck, everything about Harley Hunter makes me hard.

“How’d you know things are done with her and Preppy?”

“Uh… I overheard some of the guys talking about it, apparently, he got totally wasted last night.”

“Don’t tell me he cheated on her,” he growls, going all protective big brother on her ass.

“I don’t know, man. Don’t shoot the messenger.”

“Come on, we got guys to shoot.” He holds out a mug for me before we head for his room and he turns his Xbox on.

  “Where’s your girl?”

He laughs lightly. “In bed, sleeping off a killer night.”

“Oh yeah. I thought you disappeared early.” It’s a total lie, I was so focused on Harley last night that I have no fucking clue what anyone else got up to.
