The End
About the author
Jaclyn M. Hawkes grew up with 6 sisters, 4 brothers and any number of pets. (It was never boring!) She got a bachelor’s degree, had a career and traveled extensively before settling down to her life’s work of being the mother of four magnificent and sometimes challenging children. She loves shellfish, meat lovers pizza, the out of doors, the youth and hearing her children laugh. She and her adorable husband, their younger children, and their happy dog, now live in a mountain valley in northern Utah, where it smells like heaven and kids still move sprinkler pipe.

Author’s Note
Down on the highway between the little valley we live in and the next valley down the mountain on a ridge overlooking the river, there stands a little old sheep herder’s trailer with a sign draped across it that says, “Nightly Rentals”. Now, I’m sure someone put the sign on it as a joke, but to me, it was absolutely thought provoking. Sometimes, when that centrifugal force of life makes you start feeling like your just about to go winging off, wouldn’t that life of a sheepherder be amazing?
Except for the mice. If they just weren’t so dang fast maybe they wouldn’t be so scary. Thank goodness for husbands, Jaclyn
