He tried to get up on bed, but it was too high for him.
It's sometimes too high for me.
Aries sighed and shook his head before carrying Adrien and placing him next to me.
"Tankyou," Adrien piped up with a shy smile.
A half smile broke onto Aries' lips as he looked at my brother and shrugged.
Aries turned on his heel and headed towards the door.
"Wait!" I piped up.
Aries stiffened and turned around, raising an eyebrow at me.
I looked at Adrien, and gave him a smile, "Adrien, how about you go downstairs and play with Michael until Aries helps me get dressed?"
Adrien's eyes lit up as he nodded excitedly.
I helped him get off the bed, and he bolted out of the room.
"Where are you going, in such a hurry?" I asked Aries with a shy smile.
Aries raised his eyebrows at me, and smirked.
His eyes slowly darkened and he took a couple of steps forward, "Help you get dressed, aye?" He asked, "More like undressed.." He whispered huskily before speeding towards me in a blink of an eye.
I panicked and almost squealed hiding underneath the covers.
Aries leaped on me and began tickling me all over.
"Wait! Wait!" I squeaked between laughs, "Stop! Aries!" I continued to plead.
Aries' loud deep chuckle erupted all over the room as he ceased his torturous actions and placed me on his lap.
He looked into my eyes, as i looked into his beautifully enchanting blue ones, and leant in closer. My breath hitched as i waited in suspense for his lips to cover my own.
"You're so-" he started with his deep husky voice before leaning in closer and tilting his head slightly. Aries weaved his fingers through my hair, as his eyes raked my face, "-beautiful," he whispered lastly, his breath tickling my lips, as butterflies bursted through my stomach, before sealing his words with a soft kiss on my lips.
Fire was set upon my skin, and i felt like burning into flames wherever he touched me. I was high. I felt high on my own personal drug. All i wanted was to keep tasting Aries.
He bit my lip, and slipped his tongue into my mouth, taking me by surprise as i tried to suppress a moan.
I wrapped my arms around his neck as he laid back on bed. Aries slid his hands down my back and grabbed me by my waist.
I grabbed his face between my hands and kissed him harder, with everything i had.
Aries' chest rumbled with low growls, as i sucked on his lower lip.
Loud bangs on our door cut us off.
Aries growled monstrously, as i giggled.
He placed me on the bed gently, before speeding to the door, with inhumane speed.
Aries ripped the door open, his chest rising angrily.
"What is it, Jake?" He asked with a growl.
After this i heard nothing. Nothing was exchanged between the two, no words.
I huffed while i waited for him to return and tell me what Jake wanted.
I heard a few whispers before the door was slammed.
"Ariel.." Aries' deep cold voice called as he walked back towards me.
His facial features were hard, and emotionless. I scrunched up my eyebrows and looked at him in confusion, "Yes?"
"Your father wants to speak to me, i'll be back in a few," he stated, before storming out of the room.
I looked after him in confusion.
What would my father want with Aries?
~
Aries
He wanted to take her away.
I was sure of it.
After the danger i put her through, he couldn't possibly let her stay with me any longer. But i wasn't going to let him take her from me, that would have to be over my dead body. She was finally mine and he thought he could just steal her away. I wasn't going to let that happen. Even if i had to kill him to prevent him from taking her, i would. I didn't care about the consequences i would have to face later on. I never did. Ariel would have to get over it.
A storm was brewing up inside of me. So many people to kill and torture, so little time. I didn't know who to start with. Blake or Ariel's father? Such a vexing predicament.
Third Person.
Aries' body was shaking with anger and a slight amount of fear. Something in him knew that this wouldn't go as planned. Nothing ever did.
All he wanted was to take his girl on a little trip to Paris, and that's when all the trouble started.
Ariel was kidnapped, then successfully returned, her father was furious, Alpha Blake was yet to be punished for his actions, and there was unusual activity going on amongst the witches. They were planning something, something big, and he was yet ignorant to their exact next move. That secretly scared him to bits and his wolf felt restless.
His eyes were darker than the night. Dark pools of emotionless eyes, filled with sorrow, pain, anger, desperation and fear. Alpha Aries hid his emotions very well. He turned every ounce of emotion into one very dangerous thing...rage. Low suppressed growls were vibrating within his chest as it rose feverishly and fell slightly afterwards. His jaw was clenched tightly and his fists were clinched into balls. He gritted his teeth as he strode downstairs to meet with Alpha Harris. His canines were starting to emerge all on their own, but he tried to contain himself, as much as he possibly could.
Despite that, as soon as he barged into his office, and his enraged eyes met the furiously venomous ones of Alpha Harris, all hell broke loose as both the Alphas shifted growling loudly and monstrously flashing each other their sharp canines and snapping at one another.
Alpha Aries roared loudly, as his entire being shook before charging.
Screams filled the air. But the Alphas couldn't be stopped. It was too late.
Chapter 26- The Furies
Third Person.
12 of them.
Women.
They were gathered in a circle with one lady in the middle.
Holding hands. They were chanting something in a rhythmic matter around their leader. Like music to the ears. Suddenly their chants became louder, more commanding as they gazed up to the dark sky, their eyes rolled back. Thunder shook the earth as lightening designed the sky and came booming to the ground revealing its wrath.
Fire ignited between them forming star shaped pattern with many angles.
One by one, a woman would scream in the middle of her chant then fall to the ground.
As the last woman in the middle chanted loudly, on her own, the fire rose and roared growing ablaze, she whispered one last meaningful sentence, as she shook violently, "The Furies," she said, before she fell, and it all seized.
Ariel
What was taking him so long?
I wonder what father wants with Aries. Was he angry with him? Was he happy with him for getting me back? Or were they planning something nice for my return?
I contemplated many scenes on how things would go on from here. Finally some peace. Aries was my mate, my family and friends were safe and everything was good in the world.
Lost in my train of thoughts i didn't hear the commotion that was coming from downstairs.
My eyebrows knitted in confusion as i plucked myself out of bed and hurried to investigate the best i can with my battered, slowly healing, body.
As soon as i reached the last flight of stairs, everything seemed quiet. Too quiet. I slowly crawled nearer to Aries' office trying to eavesdrop.
Suddenly, loud growls were heard and a large body of fur was tossed out of Aries' office, breaking the door into pieces as pricks of wood scattered everywhere.
Women screamed and gasped, while the men began growling and yelling at each other. Some giving orders, others complying.
A large black wolf stepped out of the room seething with rage & anger, towering over everyone and everything. While the other large grey wolf growled back, after it picked itself up, daring the black one to make another move.
I stared at the two wolves for a second before my mind caught up with what was happ
ening.
Aries & my father were fighting, threatening to kill each other.
I gasped loudly, drawing everyone's attention, before anger and fear flooded through me. I growled and yelled at the top of my lungs, "ENOUGH!"
The two wolves got distracted and their growling seized, i looked at Aries' wolf, "If you hurt my father, i will leave, and you will never see me again!" I gritted out. Aries' wolf looked guilty, he tried to stare me down competitively, i sharpened my gaze showing him how serious i was trying to be, causing his ears to fall as he backed away. His anger suddenly dispersed, and i could feel some of his emotions swerve through me. He was worried and afraid. As if he were scared that i'd part with him.
My eyes softened, then i switched my gaze to my father's wolf, that was just about to attack Aries while he was distracted by me.
My gaze hardened as i narrowed my eyes at my father, he looked like he was about to pounce, but i growled, "Don't you dare lay a paw on him, father!"
My dad was surprised and his wolf's head snapped towards me, as his eyes widened then narrowed at me. My dad growled, and i growled back, "Aries is my mate! If you take another step closer, i won't be responsible for my following actions," I said angrily.
My mother hurried to my side, tears stinging her eyes.
She blinked them away and looked at my father sternly, "Enough Harris. Enough of this. We want peace, not war. Especially not with our own daughter!"
My dad looked at mom and backed away from Aries, before growling and sprinting out of the mansion, probably to blow off some steam in the forest.
My mother let out a breath she had held, and i mimicked her actions.
She shook her head and looked at me. She gave me a small smile before she put a hand on cheek. "I'm so happy that you found your mate sweetheart and i'm glad you're home safe and sound." I smiled back and i hugged her.
"Thank you. What about dad? I-I'm worried.." I said, stopping mid way, the guilt overwhelming me for what i said to him. I opened my mouth to speak but my mom patted my cheek lightly, "I know you didn't mean what you said. You were just protecting your mate. I understand. I'll take care of your father. Don't worry." She said before she started after dad.
I let out a breath of relief and i looked at Aries. He looked back at me before heading up the stairs in wolf form.
I huffed and started after him, not acknowledging our audience.
I approached the door to his private study, the one i wasn't allowed to enter, and i could hear growls, and bangs all over. Things were being thrown, smashed, and thrashed, as heat seemed to emit out of the room.
I placed a hand on the rich wooden door, and all movements in the room stopped. I tried to near my ear against the door to hear anything. I couldn't. Not even a breath. Suddenly the door was torn open and i stumbled in.
Aries' stark naked form stood before me and loomed over darkly.
His hair was messy, his eyes looked tired but sharp with vengeance and no kindness. His chest was heaving heavily, and his hands were fisted tightly. His body emitted so much heat from his anger it made me speechless. I tried not to look at his gorgeous body, as I fixed my eyes on his.
He suddenly gripped onto my waist and pulled me into the room, slamming the door behind us.
He carried me unexpectedly and laid me down on the table, before climbing over me. I was highly aware of the papers and things i was squishing underneath me but Aries didn't care.
He slammed his lips onto mine, kissing me roughly. I tried to push him away so we could talk about what happened and calm him down; he parted for air and gripped my hands in his strong hand, and held them above my head before diving for another rough kiss. I squirmed underneath; I didn't understand why he was being so violent. He pressured my legs into seizing movement by forcing them between his legs. He began attacking my neck with bites all over, and it hurt.
"Aries..." I breathed urgently, trying to grab his attention.
He looked back up to me, his eyes pitch black.
I didn't see Aries for a second there.
He growled at me his body trembling with anger, before he looked at my body hungrily.
I took in a deep breath, as fear crawled up my spine. I shut my eyes tightly, waiting for what was coming next.
I heard the ripping of all the fabric on my body, then felt cold air pierce my skin. Goosebumps covered my arms as i felt wet lips on my neck, sucking it roughly, before biting down.
I yelped as my body arched, in pain. I gritted my teeth, and closed my eyes tighter before looking sideways at him panic in my eyes. He looked up at me darkly, and began sliding his assaulting lips down between the mounts of my breasts. I felt so bare and embarrassed. My cheeks were red, and my heart was racing.
His dark demeanour began to lighten as he playfully and seductively growled with a grin making it's way onto his face. I wriggled my hands that were in captive in his own and he let them go wrapping his arms around my body as he freed my legs as well.
I wrapped my legs around his waist as my body started to relax.
He kissed me again. But this time, softly, gently, with all the passion inside of him pouring into me. I kissed him back urgently, and his eyes widened then he moaned.
I giggled and pulled away. He urgently tried to pull me back in, but i put a finger against his lips, "Our room, now."
Realization hit him hard, as he looked around us. He nodded violently, before carrying me as i wrapped my legs tighter around his waist, and he sped us to our room.
Chapter 27- Don't Hate the Messenger Pt.1
Ariel
As soon as we got to our room. Aries put me down and started to attack my lips with hot, feverish kisses.
Suddenly we heard a sound. Someone rummaging through the room. But we couldn't see anything. I gulped, feeling uneasy with our nudity, probably in front of a stranger. Well, not stranger, more like foe. I shifted in my place in Aries' arms, and he automatically hid me behind him.
His wolf growled, and his eyes didn't darken, no, they turned as red as the demons' eyes.
His canines were elongated as he stood in a protective stance in front of me, "Who's there?" He growled threateningly.
He had an extended arm, around me, pressing me to his back with his hand.
He didn't notice how awkward i felt with his nude butt pressed to my bare stomach.
Our mate is protecting us! My wolf squealed in joy.
Shush! This is not the time to be talking about this, there is an intruder in our house! And an invisible one at that. I growled at her.
She shushed immediately as i tried to use my wolf vision, may be there was something i was missing?
Aries grew quiet, as he looked around, his irises still red.
My heart started pounding and i felt fear course through my veins. But i couldn't be weak.
I always had a fear of what i couldn't see. More than what i could see. I mean, if you can see something. No matter how evil or how frightening it was, at least you could see it and sort of deal with it, then you have a chance of actually beating it. But when something is evil and invisible, well, you're dead.
Suddenly his gaze was fixed at one area, before he looked completely and utterly shocked.
I grew nervous, wanting to know what he could see.
He growled, not in anger, but in annoyance.
He turned to me, quickly shielding my body from whoever was there.
He looked down at me and my heart skipped a beat of fright when i saw his red eyes up close.
His eyebrows scrunched up in disappointment, as his eyes turned back to the electric blue colour that i admired so. I visibly calmed down then looked behind him to see a drawer open.
My heart beat faster as i looked in panic and looked back at Aries as i trapped a deep breath within me.
He looked to the side and sighed, "You will find nothing here, Hermes. Meet me at my study and for heavens sake, show yourself, you are frightening my mate!" Aries growled the last part, then looked bac
k at me, apologetically.
The drawer closed and the window opened, before it was shut again.
I let out that deep breath that i held in, before i spoke, "What the hell was that? And did you just say...Hermes? As in the Hermes?"
Aries closed his eyes feeling agitated, before reopening them, "Get dressed and meet me in my study downstairs."
I nodded, before hurrying to the dressing room.
I put on some white lace undergarments, before searching for my white romper.
It had floral lace long sleeves and a golden belt the shape of leaves on a tree branch.
I put it on, and looked for some white sandal heels.
I stepped out of the dressing room, and brushed my hair, letting it loose before i headed out of the room and downstairs.
I neared Aries' study library and knocked.
A faint, "Come in," was resonated and that was my cue.
I waltzed in taking in the wide space and every detail about the room. One could never get tired of inspecting Aries' spacious rooms.
I remember the last time i was in here, i got marked.
I sighed, and looked to find Aries, sitting with a man the was dressed in a funny manor.
He was dressed in a white dress. Well, not dress. But uh, um, white chiton? With brown sandals, that covered most of his calves, and wings on the back of his ankles? And, even the golden staff that looked like two snakes twirled around, facing each other.
He had a golden helmet on, with white wings on too!
Aries cleared his throat.
And up until then, I didn't realise that I was gawking at the man.
He had a smirk on his face and he was rested quite comfortably on that leather chair.
He had brown eyes, brown hair, high cheek bones, and a fair complexion. His nose was straight and he had a very prominent jawline.
He was to die for. Truly a greek god.
Aries cleared his throat once more, "Ariel, sweetheart?"
I snapped out of my daze, and smiled sweetly, a blush taking over my cheeks for staring for too long.
I took small strides towards them and extended my hand introducing myself, "I'm sorry if i was rude, it's just, uh-um-" i stuttered, he smiled at me kindly, before interrupting my very embarrassing and incessant blabbering, "I am Hermes, it's nice to finally meet you," he said taking a hold of my hand, and planting a kiss on the back of it, all gentleman-like.
