“Man, be cool, I got this,” he said to me. I closed the door to the bathroom and stuck my feet inside the water. Yes, hot, just how I liked it. I was going to love this treatment.
“Killa, where we going?” I called out to him. When I got out the tub Killa had the perfect white dress laid out on the bed for me. We were headed to the downtown area.
“You’re my woman now I don’t want you to call me Killa no more call me by my name, Antwine,” he looked at me and said as he continued driving.
“Okay, but still, tell me where we going?” I asked him. I looked at him and batted my eyes. “I’ll suck your dick,” I said to him in my naughty girl voice.
“Man, you gone do that regardless,” he told me. I laughed at his lil’ corny joke. I diverted my eyes to the road since Killa was not telling me anything at all. Damn it, this nigga was going to irritate my soul today. We pulled up to the building we called “the county” downtown. I looked at him hoping he was not pulling up to have some dirty ass nigga walk out and get in the car with us. This is where people went to jail, get married everything in one if you asked me.
We walked up to the building and I was getting butterflies in my stomach for some odd reason. I was getting nervous. I could feel my palms starting to sweat. “Kill-I mean Antwone, what are we doing here?” I asked for the final time. Killa turned towards me and placed my hand in his hand. He reached in his pocket and pulled out the prettiest yellow-cut diamond ring I have ever seen. Tears instantly popped out my eyes.
“Antwine baby, what are you doing?” I cried to him. Killa got down on one knee before me and asked me to marry him. I looked behind him and spotted my brother and Tiffany.
“Girl, you better say yes,” she yelled to me and said. I turned to Killa and he was still on his knee. I told him yes.
“Right now Dayja, I want you to be my wife from this day forward,” he said to me. I looked at him and smiled. We walked to the clerk and told them we were here to get married. I was so happy and to see my brother here with me, was the best of the best. The clerk told us a judge was already marrying someone and would be with us shortly. I stood back and told Antwine I was going to go to the restroom and freshen up. I needed to make sure my makeup was on fleek.
I had just finished using the restroom when three girls walked in the bathroom loud mouthing talking about how it was some niggas out there. I smiled to myself knowing that one of them was talking about my man. “Bitch don’t none of those niggas out there want your money hungry ass,” one yelled from one stall to another one. I laughed to myself as it reminded me of Lovely, Brook and me. We went everywhere together. Damn I missed my girls. I hated that things turned out the way they did. I really didn’t want to kill Brooklyn but I had to. It was going to be a forever competition if I would have left her ass alive. She would have fought me to get the title “Trap Queen.” She didn’t know I was the true definition of a trap queen. I earned that title the hard way and I was going to be representing. I finished washing my hands and fixed my makeup before I went out to join my fiancé in matrimony.
“I’m ready,” I called out to Antwine. He looked back at me and smiled. He was conversing with my brother Jay, Slim and Loco. Of course, I should have known they were going to be here. I heard the judge call out Antwine’s last name and we all proceeded to the door. I was ready for this moment to become somebody’s wife. I walked in the courtroom with my family and new family behind me. I was more than ready to start my life over. I needed to leave my old self and become a new person. I was happy to no longer be carrying demons. I needed to leave all my Confessions of a Trap Queen behind if I wanted to sleep longer. When the judge told me I was now the new Mrs. Johnson, I kissed Antwine as if my life depended on it. We both walked out the courtroom hand in hand, ready to start our new lives.
