Trev touched Eden’s face again and inched in. “I had to do it like this. I had to get an idea of what really happened. When we get back to Frelen, we’re going to figure it all out. For tonight, we have to let it go and crash here. Play the part, okay?”
Eden forced herself to nod.
When Trev’s lips gently touched hers, a fire flared up inside Eden’s belly.
He started to pull away and Eden grabbed his leather cut. “No.”
“No what?” Trev asked.
“Play the part,” Eden whispered. She reached between Trev’s legs with her other hand and squeezed his cock. “Right?”
“Ah, fuck,” Trev growled. “This ain’t playing. This is real.”
Trev’s mouth attacked hers. They kissed hard and wild. Eden hurried to open Trev’s jeans, needing to touch him. Needing to feel him inside her. He had officially become her favorite drug. What tattooing would do to calm her mind was what Trev’s dick did now. Her appetite for him was voracious. Even though she was hurt and angry, she wanted him.
As her hand wrapped around Trev’s cock, feeling him getting harder by the second, she couldn’t help but wonder if she was walking in the same shoes as her mother. Would she become some beaten up old lady? Would she look twenty years older than she was?
Trev groaned and pulled Eden from the sink. He tore open her pants and shoved them down. Then went past her knees and his hands touched the back of her legs. At her ass, he gripped her and lifted her. He put her back on the sink and reached between her legs, his fingers grazing the warmth of her slit.
Eden let out a moan. Two of Trev’s fingers were against her and then they were inside her. With a hard thrust, Trev plunged his fingers into her depth. Eden slid her hand to the head of Trev’s cock and squeezed, knowing it was his sweet spot. She then rolled her thumb back and forth over the ridge of his tip, feeling him thicken.
They stared at each other. Trev eased his fingers out of her body and up. His slick fingers touched her clit and Eden jumped.
“Yeah,” she whispered.
“You’re fucking crazy,” Trev said. “You don’t know what you’re doing to me, Eden. Inside and out. I’m going to fill your pussy and your heart.” He slipped a hand to the back of her neck. “Don’t ever fucking stop trusting me. Swear on that right now.”
“I swear,” Eden said. She was on the verge of whimpering. Her body needed him so badly. “I swear I’ll trust you.”
Trev gently kissed her.
He came forward, pressing himself to her slit. Eden’s hand touched herself and she felt him open her. His girth stole her breath. She tried to slink back, almost nervous about that first thrust because of how it felt.
Trev was faster than her. He thrust and pounded right into her.
Eden put her head back and let out a cry.
Trev kissed her neck and then placed both hands to her hips. He held her there and fucked her. Each thrust harder than the previous. Each thrust deeper. The entire time, Trev’s lips and tongue didn’t leave Eden’s body. He kissed both sides of her neck, nibbled on both of her ears, and then sought out her lips and didn’t stop kissing her.
As crazy as it was, it was like Trev was making love to her. His own version of it. And right there, in the bathroom in a bar of Back Down Devil MC. Not quite the intense romance thing Eden had expected when she met someone she really cared about, but then again, it was Trev and it was the outlaw life.
What else would it be?
Eden held onto Trev’s leather cut and she dug her heels into the back of his legs.
“You feel so fucking good,” Trev growled, his teeth grazing her neck. “You taste so fucking good too.”
“Oh, Trev,” Eden purred. “Yes.”
“You liked seeing me fight that guy, didn’t you?”
Eden felt her hips rocking because of Trev’s thrusts. “Fuck… yes…”
“I’ll always protect you,” Trev said. “Nobody will hurt you, ever. I’m fucking claiming you as my own, Eden. Do you understand that?”
Biting her lip, Eden groaned. Trev pounded into her and held there. He bucked his hips, digging even deeper. Eden opened her mouth and had no breath, no air, nothing. She stared at Trev, trying to say something.
She nodded.
“Good,” Trev said. “Now I’m going to fill you again. Then you’re going to wear my ink.”
Eden let out a yell as Trev slowly pulled back. She felt the tip of his cock sliding against her insides, making her rock her hips. He then fucked her harder than ever. From zero to a hundred in two thrusts, Trev put his lips to Eden’s but he didn’t kiss her. They were just together, their bodies colliding with intense pleasure.
Eden started to cry out, louder and louder.
“Yes,” Trev said. “Let everyone fucking hear you. They’ll know then you’re mine.”
Eden clutched the leather cut tighter.
She let out one last cry and Trev stole it by kissing her. That was when he started to come, pumping himself back and forth as he came, spilling into her. Eden slid her hands around to the back of Trev’s leather cut, following the outline of his patch. She then grabbed his belt and pulled, wanting him deep inside her. He held there, his cock still throbbing. Each time, he grunted.
“Fuck,” Eden whimpered. “It’s so good, Trev.”
Trev looked at her. “Are you ready for this?”
“For what?”
“Ink,” he said.
“Right now?”
“Right fucking now,” Trev said. “You’re going first… then you’re going to ink me.”
“Tonight?”
“I trust you, beautiful. I want you to tattoo me.”
Eden had nothing to say to it. It was maybe far from romantic, but the gesture was romantic.
Trev started to pull away and Eden grabbed him again. “Trev… I really do trust you. I care about you. You really hurt me though.”
“I know, beautiful,” Trev said. “But I’ll do anything to protect what I love.”
That left Eden in shock. And it left her with one question.
Does he love me?

eighteen.
Eden gripped the chair as Trev straddled it. Her shirt was pulled up but not too far. She stared at him with her eyes full of fear. Her knuckles were white and she looked a second away from passing out.
Trev never met someone in his life that was a tattoo artist who didn’t have a tattoo. It was sort of sexy for Eden, but that was long gone now. She was getting a set of angel wings and a skull tattooed on her lower back. Trev’s ink. Trev’s mark. A notion to the rest of the MC and the rest of the goddamn world that Eden was his.
What did that really mean? Trev wasn’t sure yet. But for now, it meant protecting her, taking care of her, and then giving her a chance at something greater. Once this internal shit was exposed and settled, Eden would be finally free to do what she wanted.
“You’re doing great, beautiful,” Trev said, chasing away all future thoughts. He was better kept right in the present.
Eden forced a smile. “Yeah. Right.”
“Almost done, darling,” the tattoo artist said. Everyone called him Smith. He was supposed to be the best in the area, inking up more than half of the Back Down Devil MC Daurian charter. He was there all night to ink up anyone who wanted it. He’d already done half a dozen tats in honor of Giovanni.
“How’s it feel?” Trev asked with a grin.
“I don’t know,” Eden said. “Burns a little.”
“I can’t believe you’re a tattoo artist and never had the needle touch you.”
“Never had a reason to get ink,” Eden said.
The needle whirred behind her. She flinched and shut her eyes, swallowing.
“This is what needs to be done,” Trev said. “A guy like Rocky ever comes near you, you have my ink. He thinks about talking to you or touching you, I’ll fucking have every right to kill him. Not fight him, Eden, but kill him.”
Eden nodd
ed.
The needle kept whirring for another few minutes.
“Okay,” Smith said. “All done, darling.”
“Turn around,” Trev said. “Let me see.”
Eden turned, holding her shirt up.
The ink was fresh and perfect. The white and blue of the wings and the black and purple of the skull were so contrasting. Exactly what Trev wanted for her.
When Eden saw the tattoo, she let out a gasp and actually started to cry.
Trev rose up and slipped an arm around her. “Hey. Don’t cry.”
“No. It’s… perfect, Trev. It’s beautiful. I can’t believe it.”
“Believe it,” Trev said. He looked at Smith. “Give us the room, okay? Go take a break and have a few drinks. Make sure nobody comes in.”
“Okay. Sure.”
Smith left the room.
Trev locked the door and walked to a table. He watched as Eden held a mirror up and continued to look at her fresh ink. The smile on her face proved she really did like it.
Trev took his leather cut off and placed it on the table. He then lifted his t-shirt up over his head. He climbed up on the table and cleared his throat.
When Eden saw him, her eyes went wide. “Again?”
“Oh, beautiful, I’d fuck that sweet pussy of yours every hour, every day for the rest of my life. But it’s your turn now.”
“My turn?”
Trev touched his chest, right at his heart. “I’ve saved this spot for you. Ink it up.”
“Trev…” Eden shook her head. “I haven’t…”
“No. Right now.”
“I have no designs.”
“Use your mind. You can do it.”
“No. You don’t get it. I haven’t tattooed since what happened…”
“Can’t let that ruin your life, right?”
Eden looked at the tattoo gun, then at Trev. “You’re sure about this?”
Trev put a hand out and then pulled Eden right to him. “Eden, I’ve never been so sure of anything in my wild life. When it comes to you…”
Goddammit, beautiful, I’m falling in love with you.
*
Watching her was maybe one of the sexiest and most beautiful things Trev had ever seen in his life. The way her eyes were intense. The way her hair kept falling from behind her ears. The way she approached him so delicately.
The way she just tattooed him without a design at all.
And it turned out to be fucking perfect.
It was a tattoo of a heart with chains, barbed wire, and thorns.
When she finished, Eden looked at Trev. “Be honest. There’s nothing I can do about it if you don’t like it.”
“I love it,” Trev said. “Tell me the story behind it.”
“You know, it’s usually the people getting the tattoos that have the stories.”
“Not this time. You’re the storyteller.”
Eden smiled and blushed. “Okay. It’s your heart. I know you have a heart. I’ve sort of seen it. The way you look at me sometimes. The way you make me feel when you look at me. You could have killed me or tossed me aside, but from day one you believed me and asked me to trust you.”
“And all this shit around the heart?” Trev asked.
“That’s your life. The MC. The guys that want you dead. The people you’ve hurt and killed. It all squeezes on your heart. It all matters to you but you can hide it.”
“Christ,” Trev said. “You could have tattooed a set of lips on my chest or ass… that would have been good too.”
Eden touched Trev’s shoulder. “I only do stuff that matters, Trev.”
He grabbed her hand and squeezed it. “Well, I hope you know that you matter. What happened here was needed. I have to find out the truth, beautiful. Accept that.”
“I do. It just hurts like death right now that my mother is out there and I can’t talk to her.”
Trev pulled Eden close.
This is why I don’t get involved… too many feelings…
“I know,” Trev whispered. “I promise you though, you will be able to talk to her. We just have to do this the right way. I don’t know what Ripper actually knows. I don’t know how Miller wants to handle it. There’s more to this than meets the eye. I don’t think Giovanni died in some kind of ambush. If we were ever ambushed, the prize is the President of the MC. Why would someone kill Giovanni and not Ripper?”
“I don’t know, Trev. Is this something you should be asking me?”
“No, it’s not. But I want you to understand my actions.”
“I trust you. I’m not lying when I say that.”
“Good.”
Trev kissed Eden. He turned and pushed her against the table.
“Careful,” she whispered. “I can’t be on my back right now.”
Trev grinned. “That’s okay.” He turned Eden around. One hand slid up her shirt, cupping her breast. The other down between her legs. “I’ll just have to enjoy the view from behind.”
Eden turned her head. Her cheeks were flushed. “What is this? Between us?”
“It’s everything you feel, beautiful.” Trev started to unbutton Eden’s jeans for the second time that night. “Shit, it’s everything I feel too.”
Trev stripped Eden’s jeans down again and touched her hips. She thrust herself back at him, making him laugh and making him painfully hard.
She had his ink. She had his heart.
Trev opened his jeans and stroked himself as he prepared to devour Eden again.
In his mind, he wondered how many times he’d have to fuck Eden before she finally got pregnant.

nineteen.
The evidence was starting to add up, and fast.
Trev listened as Miller stood at the head of the table, hand on a map. “It doesn’t make sense to me either. I was letting it roll off my back, trying to focus on the Griffin situation. But then Jasper called me. He’s beat up over it. He said that Ripper wanted him to take a run and Jasper fought back. He thinks Ripper is in bed with a gun deal and the O’Nuall family.”
“Jesus Christ,” Blaine said. “That’s the mafia. That’s some dark shit.”
“They have legit business from Nevada to the coast, Miller. Lots of desert, lots of graves.”
“They expanded to the east coast too,” Nate said. “Heard they were scooping up real estate after the market crash. Even getting into hotels and shit.”
“They love their legit businesses,” Miller said. “They love their crime, too. We’re talking big stuff here. Not just towns and police. This is bigger. Judges. Politicians. I’m talking huge here. Something this MC needs to be far away from.”
“What’s the play?” Jace asked. “Ripper working for them?”
“Christ,” Blaine said. He leaned in. “Giovanni.”
“What about?” Trev asked.
“His name. He’s Italian. Came from rich blood, right? Old country shit. His family beefed with the Irish.”
“Fuck me,” Gaige said.
“You think the O’Nuall family hit Giovanni?” Miller asked.
“With Ripper’s help,” Trev said. He then thought about it and he stood up. “Fuck.”
“What?” Miller asked.
“Griffin.”
“Griffin?” Gaige asked.
“He was working with Ripper and guns years ago. I remember it when Griffin was outlaw. He’d come to The Lost Men for space and some time. He was never actually patched in with the Daurian charter but he was always there.”
“Yeah,” Blaine said, “fucking Ripper’s old lady and knocking her up.”
“I’m worried it was more,” Trev said. “Maybe that’s why the letter was written and given to Eden when it was. Griffin’s dead and he can’t protect her anymore. Shit. Then someone shows up and tries taking her out.”
“Wait a second,” Miller said. “We have nothing to connect any of this.”
“You said Jasper called you,” Trev said.
“Jasper was dr
unk and grieving. He’s trying to make sense of it.”
“He’s beefing with his President,” Gaige said. “That’s not good.”
“The bartender, West,” Trev said. “He made a couple comments.”
“Whoa, whoa, whoa,” Miller said. He folded up the map. “Everyone at this goddamn table shut their fucking mouths. Right now.”
The table went silent.
Miller looked like a rattlesnake ready to attack. “We don’t do this in this club. We don’t shoot first and ask later. We have to approach this smart. That means keeping an open line of conversation with all those willing to talk. Gaige, you stick with Jasper. VP to VP. Bring in Griffin’s death and help Jasper. I’ll handle Ripper.”
“Boss,” Blaine said, “if he’s dealing with the O’Nuall family…”
“Then we reaper vote it,” Miller said. “Both charters get a vote. All patched in members.”
“Unless there’s deadly cause,” Gaige said.
“Christ,” Shay said. “Taking out a President of the MC. That hasn’t been done in years.”
Miller nodded. “If it comes to it, so be it. We’ve been through it all, guys. We can take this on.” Miller pointed to Trev. “How did Eden do with seeing Jenn?”
“She figured it out fast. Jenn played it off. She’s devastated. But she’s calm. She understands. She’s wearing my ink now. No more bullshit with her.”
“Hey!” Blaine yelled. “You locked down some good pussy for real.”
Blaine stuck his fingers into his mouth and whistled. Miller grinned and knocked on the table.
Trev waved it all off. “Hey. Show some fucking respect. The seat I’m filling… remember that.”
“What’s the status of Griffin if this goes south?” Landon asked. “Not to bring up a tough subject, but shit, he was tapping another brother’s old lady. Got her pregnant. Gave up the kid. Maybe he was dealing with Ripper and setting up this O’Nuall thing.”
“Bite your fucking tongue, Landon,” Trev growled.
“Fuck you, bro. It’s the truth. We gave him an honorable burial. Cut and all.”
“What do you want?” Trev asked. “Dig him up and take it back?”
“Why not?” Landon asked.
Trev jumped at the table. Landon kicked back and Shay and Gaige were there to grab Trev off the table before something crazy happened.
