He ran his hand up my side slowly from my hip up to my breast and began kneading it gently. His lips crashed into mine as he began kissing me senseless, the desperate ferocity of it overwhelming me. It felt like I was being consumed as he fed on my lips and tongue like he'd never get to taste them again. I moaned wildly into his mouth and ground my sex against his thigh. Wordlessly he pulled away, frantically pulling my panties off and throwing them off the side of the bed. I clawed at his boxers, and he shed them as fast as he could. He kissed me again and thrust his erection into my thigh. I felt his fingers gently slide between the lips of my pussy to spread the wetness there up onto my clit, pressing down in small circles, igniting my body with the sweet pleasure of his touch. My orgasm came swiftly, and he thrust two fingers into me as it hit, moving them in and out, dragging the pleasure out as long as he could. My back arched up to him and his hot mouth moved to my right nipple, sucking it in and flicking his tongue across the tight nub again and again.
"Need you," I whimpered in desperation. Still silent, he moved his hips between my thighs and rubbed the head of his cock through my folds. He paused as the head just started to enter me and captured my gaze with his, holding it and not letting me look away. There was a fire in his green eyes like I had never seen before, it burned so bright with an intense desire for me, that it was almost frightening. He pushed himself into me slowly, and I watched his eyes flutter and his mouth open with a shuddering sigh as he reached the end of me. I rolled my head to the side, feeling overwhelmed by his eye contact, but his hand gently turned my chin back so I was meeting his eyes again. This time I kept my gaze on his as he began moving slowly inside me, making love to me with his eyes and with his body.
It was the most intimate experience I had ever had as Jensen wordlessly watched my face as he thrust in and out of me, his face focused and intense. He began thrusting harder, bumping deep into me as he hit a spot inside me that fired electric shocks through my body. He paused long enough to push my knees up to my chest and held them there as he thrust back into me. The new spot he hit inside me made me gasp in surprise as a jolt of pleasure I had never felt before fired across my body. His eyes hooded over with satisfaction, and he powered into me faster and harder, hitting that same perfect spot over and over again. I started chanting his name as my climax got closer and closer, threatening to tear me apart from the inside out.
The orgasm hit me so hard that I couldn't breath for a moment, and then I was screaming and screaming as it exploded out of me, feeling like it was burning me to ashes as it blazed through my body. Jensen's eyes never left mine, his face lighting up as he watched me come. His eyes suddenly fluttered and then his entire body went ridged as his orgasm hit him before mine had even ended yet. His body shuddered and spasmed above me as a low groan sounded deep within his chest. He pounded into me even harder as he rode the rest of our climaxes out into nothingness, our bodies left limp and spent in its wake, our eyes still fixed on each other.
"See how much I love you?" he whispered, his eyes glittering with emotion as he looked down at me. I placed my hand on the side of his face, and he leaned into it with his cheek.
"Yes," I said as tears of joy began flowing from the corners of my eyes and down into my hair. "I can see."
Jensen dropped me off at work the next day with only a few minutes to spare. Both of us had been so tired that we had slept all the way through the rest of the night after he made love to me. Then we had gotten distracted in the shower for a while this morning, and I was grateful that we had gotten up early, or I would have been late. He kissed me good-bye fiercely and promised to be back at five to pick me up. I decided that I could really get used to being driven to work everyday. He spoiled me constantly.
The morning went by uneventfully, but fast. I was too busy to pine for Jensen very much. When lunch time came around I sent him a text telling him how much I missed him. He replied that he missed me too, but was too busy to call me and tell me himself. He'd call me when he got a chance. I'll admit I was disappointed since I had really wanted to hear his voice. This responsible adult crap was seriously getting in the way of my love life. Unfortunately, the afternoon didn't past swiftly at all. We were steadily busy most of the time, but I just didn't want to be there anymore. I missed Jensen constantly. It seemed the longer we were apart the more I needed him. Five o'clock couldn't come fast enough.
After four things really slowed down, and Yvonne and I decided to get some of the cleanup done, so we could leave on time. Yvonne started in on cleaning the tables, and I started collecting all the trash from the day. It took several trips out of the back door as I dragged the bags out one at a time and left them by the door to take to the dumpster when I was done. I ended up with five large bags when all was said and done. Thank God the dumpster was only a few yards from the door.
It took some effort, but I lifted each bag up to shove them into the dumpster over the lip that was almost as tall as I was. I had just shoved the last bag in and was turning to go back into the building when I was grabbed from behind, turned around, and shoved against the side of the dumpster. My head bounced off the metal, stunning me, and it took me a moment to realize that Clay was pressing me against the dumpster with his body, his forearm across my upper chest pinning me in place. His bruised face was only inches from mine.
"Hey, Syd." He smirked at me, his blue eyes hard and menacing. "Did you miss me?"
I opened my mouth to scream, but he brandished a small sharp knife in front of my eyes.
"No, no, no, sweetheart," he growled. "Keep you whore mouth shut."
I snapped my mouth shut, and felt terror like I had never felt before. "What do you want?" I whispered, my voice quaking in fear.
"Well, your boy toys fucked with what's mine, so I'm going to fuck with what's there's." His voice was low and menacing as he pushed me back harder into the dumpster, forcing the air from my lungs. I looked around with wild eyes as fear for my life surged through me, hoping someone would come looking for me.
"What are you talking about?" I asked, desperate to distract him from hurting me. His nostrils flared in reaction to my question.
"That piece of shit, Hayes, and the other fucker, Purcell," he snarled. "I know you've been fucking both of them." I opened my mouth to argue with him, but realized it was pointless. He was not in a place that could be reasoned with right now.
"We broke up, Clay," I said quietly. He didn't seem to hear me at all as he continued talking.
"Do they think they can just take whatever they want without consequences? That they can take you away from me and not pay for what they've done?" he said in a crazed voice. "I'll destroy everything they care about." His forearm started pressing against my throat.
"Clay, stop," I gasped for air. "You're hurting me." Tears started falling from my eyes.
"Hurting you?" he asked incredulously and laughed. "I haven't even started on you yet."
"You can't," I whispered, still gasping for air. "The police will find out. You won't get away with it."
"Oh, the police aren't going to hear anything about this," he said with glee. "Do you want to know why?" He paused and waited for me to nod. "Because if you tell them anything, anything at all, I'll come for your precious sister, Lauren." The terror surged even higher at his words. She was the only family I had left. I didn't know what I'd do without her. "You see; I hold all the power here. You can't do anything to stop me."
Oh my God, he was deranged. How had I missed this part of his personality? I thought he was a harmless, narcissistic asshole, but this person in front of me was something completely different. I started to wonder if I would ever see Lauren or Jensen again as I looked into his insane rage-filled eyes.
"Tell Hayes he knows where to find me," he whispered menacingly.
"Wh...?" I started asking in confusion, but before I could finish, he pulled back his fist and punched me in the face, hard. Blinding pain blossomed out from my cheek as the back of my head bounced off the metal b
ehind me, stunning me again. He let go of me, and I felt my body slump limply down the side of the dumpster to the ground. I don't think I passed out, but it took several long moments of searing pain before I was aware of my surroundings again. By then, Clay was gone. I tried to stand, but the world seemed to turn on its axis and I ended up on my hands and knees on the ground, staring at the asphalt beneath me.
"Oh my God!" I heard a voice yelling. "Syd?! Are you okay?!" I looked up to find Rob kneeling on the ground in front of me. "What happened?"
I wanted to tell him the truth, but the sudden image of my sister's lifeless body in my head stopped me. "I...I tripped and fell," I mumbled. "I hit my face on the dumpster."
Rob grabbed the sides of my face with his hands and looked me over, his eyes furrowed with concern. "Well, at least you aren't bleeding, but you're going to have one hell of a bruise. Do you need to go to the hospital?"
"No!" I said forcefully, then answered more calmly. "I'll be okay. I...I just need to go home." He nodded and helped me stand up.
"Let's get some ice on that first. Okay?" he said and walked me back into the building.
"Can you call Jensen to come get me?" I asked with a sob that I wasn't able to stop. "My phone's in my purse." He sat me down in his desk chair and nodded. I watched him go out the door to the storefront as I started shaking all over. When he returned a moment later with a bag of ice, he stopped short when he looked at me.
"Are you sure you're alright, Sydney?" he asked with a worried expression on his face.
"I'm okay," I assured him, trying to keep my voice from shaking. "It just hurts really bad." I held my hand out for the ice. After a moment, he sighed and then gave it to me. I pressed it to my left cheek with a wince and sighed with relief as the cold started to ease the throbbing in my face.
Rob went to my locker and got my phone out. He stared at the screen as he looked for Jensen's number, touching it a few times, then held it to his ear as the call started. His eyes met mine as he started speaking.
"No, this is Sydney's boss. She hurt herself at work and wanted you to come pick her up." There was a pause. "No, no, she hit her face on a dumpster, but she's okay, just shook up." There was another pause. "Hey, don't worry, I'll take care of her until you get here." He ended the call, shaking his head and smiling at me. "He's on his way. I hope he doesn't have an accident on the way. He is freaked the hell out."
"He's a little overprotective, but he's a good man," I said defensively.
"Hey, I'm not attacking him here, Syd, just making an observation."
"Sorry, I'm a little out of sorts here," I apologized. I could feel a raging headache starting to pound inside my head.
"Will you be alright in here waiting for him?" he asked. "It's starting to get kind of crazy out front."
"Sure, Rob. I'm fine."
I wasn't fine, not at all. I just got fucking assaulted, and I didn't dare to tell Rob or anyone else the truth. If one of them called the cops, God only knew what Clay would do to Lauren. I felt tears start to fall from my eyes. I tried to stop crying, knowing it would only make my headache worse, but I couldn't. I sat there sobbing and holding the ice on my face, wishing Jensen was here already. I just wanted to go home. I wanted him to hold me and make me feel safe again.
After what seemed like an eternity, Jensen finally burst through the door into the back room where I was waiting. He rushed across the room and fell to his knees in front of me. His eyes were wild and fearful as he raised my face with gentle fingers under my chin, so he could get a good look at my injury.
"Oh baby, that looks like it hurts really bad," he whispered. "Do you need me to take you to the hospital?"
"No, no, no," I said vehemently and a suspicious look ghosted across his features for a moment, before he nodded. "I...I just want to go home." My voice quavered as more tears started flowing again.
"Okay," he said softly. "Anything you want, baby."
I leaned forward and wrapped my arms around his neck, sobbing against his shoulder. He wrapped his strong arms around me carefully and held me wordlessly, rubbing comforting circles on my back with his hand. He pulled back after a few moments and kissed my lips gently. The look on his face was so tender that it made my heart ache.
"Let's get you home, so I can take care of you, baby. Okay?"
I nodded, and he helped me stand up. I felt a little dizzy, but could stay upright. Jensen put his arm around my shoulders and led me out of the backroom. We walked through the store, and I tried to ignore the worried look on my co-worker's faces. When we made it out to his truck parked right in front of the door, he carefully helped me up into the passenger seat and buckled me in. I relaxed back into the seat with a sigh as he got in on the other side. I finally felt safe again, now that Jensen was here with me.
"Do you want me to call Lauren?" Jensen asked as he started driving. A wave of panic hit me at the mention of my sister's name.
"No!" I blurted out immediately. He furrowed his brows at my vehement reaction, but didn't say anything more. God, I wanted to tell him what happened, but Clay's words echoed through my head. Tell Hayes, he knows where to find me. Clay wanted Jensen to know he did this, wanted Jensen to come after him. I knew within my heart that Jensen would if he knew. Whatever Clay planned; it wasn't good. What if he wanted to hurt Jensen, or worse? Shit, I felt trapped and so alone in my fear. I started sobbing again and I just couldn't stop. I felt Jensen's hand cover mine in my lap, and I looked over at him. His lips were pursed as he watched me, his eyes concerned, and I think a little suspicious. Damn him for being able to read me so easily. I kept waiting for him to say something, but he drove me home in silence while I cried, his hand never letting go of mine the entire way there.
When we finally pulled into the parking lot of my apartment building, he came around the truck and opened the door before I could myself. Jensen picked me up in his arms and carried me into the building, heedless of my protests or the strange looks we got in the lobby and in the elevator. The next thing I knew he was laying me down on my bed. He removed my shoes and his own, then climbed onto the bed and took me in his arms. I curled into him, my face buried against his chest, and sobbed repeatedly, clenching his shirt in my hands and soaking it with my tears.
"I'm here, baby," he whispered into my hair. "You're safe now." He held me until I stopped crying again. Then he leaned away to meet my eyes. "Are you going to tell me what really happened now?" he asked, but I sensed an undercurrent of demand in his tone. I felt torn. I didn't want to lie to him, not now, but the fear of him doing something rash held my tongue. I bowed my head to look away from him, but he gently lifted my chin up again. His eyes bore into mine with their intensity. "Baby, we both know that you didn't hit your face on a dumpster. Who hit you?" His voice started to sound strained, and I could see the first stirrings of anger in his eyes. I closed my eyes in resignation as I realized I had to tell him. Maybe if he knew that Clay had threatened Lauren, he would stay away from him. Jensen wasn't stupid, and he would listen to me if I asked him to drop it. He'd said he would do anything for me, after all. I'd just have to trust that fact.
"It...it was Clay," I whispered. I felt his body tense up next to me, his eyes bursting into a fiery rage. "He...he threatened to hurt Lauren if I told anyone," I sobbed. He abruptly let go of me and rose from the bed to start pacing across the room.
"I'll fucking kill him," he mumbled to himself; his fists clenched at his sides. "I'll rip him the fuck apart." He paced back and forth frantically as I watched him work himself into a rage. "I fucking warned him. I told him to stay the fuck away from you!" he growled, his voice rising in fury.
"You can't go after him, Jensen," I told him, my voice pleading and desperate.
"Why the fuck not?" he snarled. I recoiled from his rage, even though I knew it wasn't directed at me, but his eyes were crazed and unfocused. I had to do something to deescalate this.
"Because that's what he wants," I explained. "He told me you knew where to fin
d him. It's what he wants, and I don't want anything to happen to you." I started weeping again in desperation. "I don't know what I'd do without you. You and Lauren are all I have left."
He stopped abruptly at my words and ran his hands through his hair. "Fuck, fuck, fuck," he snarled in frustration.
"Please, baby. Promise me you won't go after him," I stammered out between sobs. He dropped his hands to his sides and looked at me again. His lips were pressed together in a hard line, his eyes still burning with anger. He closed his eyes and drew in deep breath, letting it out slowly before opening his eyes to meet mine again.
"Okay," he whispered to me with resignation. I sighed with relief.
"Thank you," I whispered as tears continued to stream down my face. His eyes softened, and he rushed back over to me.
"Baby, I'm so sorry I wasn't there to keep you safe," he said as he wrapped me up in his arms again. "This should have never happened to you."
"You can't protect me from everything, Jensen," I said. "What are you going to do, follow me around everywhere I go for the rest of my life?"
"If I have to," he said, his voice serious.
"My own personal stalker, lucky me." I snorted with amusement.
"I'm serious," he replied with a pained expression. "It kills me that someone hurt you. I should have been there."
"Well, you're here now," I raised my hand and placed it on the side of his face. He nodded and kissed me gently. I winced as my cheek started throbbing again. He jerked back immediately.
