I rise up on my elbows to watch her face. She focuses directly into my eyes as she runs her hands up my legs and straight to the edge of my waistband and starts to tug. She runs kisses on the outside of my jeans and I’m busting to be free. Her fingers move to unsnap my button and she teases me further by sliding down the zipper at a torturously slow rate. I lift and let her pull my jeans down until I spring free. Her eyes move from mine as she starts to run her tongue from the base to the tip of me and I can’t keep the moan from escaping because I know what’s in store for me.

“Damn, Ivy! I love you!” My words come through heavy breathing and a deep groan of appreciation.

She pulls up and looks at me again. Her hair is hanging down over me and I feel the soft brush of it when she starts to sway slightly from side to side.

“I love you too!” Her look is sincere and I take a moment to watch her beauty. She rises up to remove her dress and I sit on the edge to lean in to kiss her belly. The tiny little baby bump reminds me of where we are supposed to be right now.

“Baby, we need to go to your appointment so we can see our little guy.” I speak right into her belly and say, “Ok. Little man, make sure you show mommy once and for all that you’re a dude and that she’s crazy talking when she claims that you’re a little girl. Daddy can’t take the stress of having a little girl that looks like her momma out there.” I look up and see the biggest grin on Ivy’s face.

  “What?”

“You’re going to be soooo upset when that doctor tells you the news.”

“No, I’m not. I will love this baby no matter what. It would just be torture worrying for the rest of my life about a daughter that comes from the two of us. Can you imagine how feisty and good looking she will be? She’ll never be able to leave the house.”

“Have you decided on a name yet?” She has decided to let me choose the baby’s name. I have a name picked out for either possibility.

“Yes, and I can’t wait to tell you what his name will be! Let’s go to the appointment so we can end this little argument.”

I help her put the dress back on and we rush out the door. I start to get nervous thinking about seeing my baby for the very first time. This ultra-sound should prove that the baby is healthy and I want to make sure everything still seems to be good with the baby. I get us to the hospital parking lot in no time and we are lucky that we pre-registered for today’s visit. We are called quickly and my nerves start to take over even more.

I watch as they drape a sheet over Ivy’s legs and pull her dress up over her little baby bump. They smear the jelly on her belly and move the machine over her to pick up the ultra-sound picture. I move in closer to Ivy and hold her hand. I start to see different shapes on the screen and the technician does a great job of explaining what we are seeing. I can make out the face, legs, and hands very easily and I’m just mesmerized that we’re seeing our little life for the first time.

“Would you like to know the sex of the baby?”

“Yes we would,” I say knowing that I’ll be ready for either scenario.

“Congratulations! You’re having a baby girl!” My heart skipped a beat. It honestly skipped a beat when she said baby girl. I feel Ivy’s hand squeeze around mine, but I don’t take my eyes off of the screen. She will be perfect. I will protect her from all of the boys like me and she’ll be perfect.

The technician finishes getting all of the shots she needs and we are assured that everything seems perfect with our little girl. Ivy hasn’t quit grinning since we found out the sex.

“I told you it was a little girl!”

  “I know you did!”

“So what is my baby girl’s name going to be?”

I think about my reply. I actually love the name I have chosen for either sex. Both names came from someone really special to me. This person means the world to the two people in my life that are most important to me. She has quickly become like a sister to me and her strength and love is so remarkable that I have to name our first baby after her.

“Her name will be Heaven, like Eaven, but with an H.”

These are the people that helped make this dream a reality.

The creation of these characters would not be possible if it weren’t for one man. My husband is by far the most supportive man I’ve ever met. There have been moments in this crazy author world when I took a step back and noticed just how lucky I am to have found a man who accepts me for everything that I am and can be. He is pushing me toward my dreams and that means so much to me. There have been challenging times where I just knew he’d put his foot down and demand a change, but he never did.

My babies, now ages (15, 13, & 8) have had to sacrifice some of their mom time to make this book happen. I love them dearly and plan to pull in some major mom & me time in the near future. These kids are my life and the reason for most of my passion to prove to the world that you can do anything you put your mind to. ##Make it Happen.

Melissa Gill – where do I even start with this girl? She is a huge reason why my series has been a great success. She took me in when I was a nobody and helped build me into the author that I am today. I know she is just getting started with me and we will have so much fun on our journey. She works with me on all of my paperbacks after I take the cover shot. She promotes me unconditionally and runs all of my tours and events. Her designs ALWAYS fit me so well and I appreciate that she knows me well enough to nail my vision perfectly. I have high hopes for us MG! We are going to take the world by ‘Storm’!

Ashley – you are a Detroit version of this Oklahoma girl, or is it the other way around? I love your feistiness and absolutely can’t wait to see your face at our first signing! Hil & Ash will definitely be remembered when the signing is over and done with! You are a great author and I’m so proud to have been a part of you blasting into the author world! Thanks for my many voxer sessions and being the one person who knows EXACTLY what I’m going through! I’m truly honored that you let your character Kylee become a part of ‘Heaven Sent’ and I can’t wait to read your novel ‘Awakening’ to see your side of the same scene.

Joni – you are such an inspiration to me. You are a perfect example of a fighter. I look forward to watching you jump out of the gates with your first novel. You have 100% of my support and I’m honored to have a chapter of your novel in my book! Thanks for being such a supporter of mine and I hope the world loves you a fraction of what I do!

Tynna – I could never thank you enough for all of your help behind the scenes of Hilary Storm. You are always so eager to help me with projects and there were a few moments that you swept in and saved me from losing my ever loving mind. I love our chats and I’m so glad our paths crossed. You are a great supporter of anything I decide to do! Thanks for always being ready to jump into anything I throw at you! Everyone needs a Tynna! I hope one day to be able to repay the favor!

Bloggers – there is no way in the world I could list all of the bloggers that support me every single day. I have an out pouring of constant support from a huge group of blogger followers who pimp out my stuff anytime I ask!   My models – Hello! How crazy hot is that cover? You guys are smoking hot and I have had so many compliments about this cover. I know you are just ordinary people that I pulled into my crazy world, but I couldn’t be happier with how both covers turned out. I’m giving you a break for book 3, but don’t be surprised if I come back for more pics for future novels.
