Light on the Water Page 5

by Mima

“So I’m going with you?” Her heart soared like a gull, delicate and bright.

  “Yes.”

  “Today?”

“Yes. You’re not allowed anything from your old life.”

“I’m all right with that. Except this. I’m bringing this.” She held up her hand and waggled her ring finger.

  “Oh, yes. That’s coming, too.”

Happiness burst like fireworks inside of her. “We’re going to be together.”

“Yes. I’m taking you.” His eyes were so serious, so dark.

“We’ll work it out. I’m strong, Jand.”

  “I know.”

He stared at her, his jaw jumping. They’d talk. They still had a lot to share, to learn.

The sun was low, tinting toward orange, by the time the boat was put right. The ropes were secured. All the surfaces were washed of sand and seaweed and sticky salt. Kissing him in the shower took just as long. All the gear was stowed, her maps destroyed, her food eaten. The last thing was the rumpled sheets on the bed. She went down into the cooler cabin. The stifling afternoon air had faded. Evening air had arrived, although the humidity was still thick.

She bent, smoothing the sheets, tucking the loose edges. He came down the stairs behind her.

  “I can get this.”

He didn’t answer, just crawled past her up onto the bed, lay down in the centre of it. He was so tall his feet stuck off. He put his hands behind his head. Saliva burst into her mouth at the bulge of his triceps, and the dents left by his biceps. He was a lean, grey ghost against the white sheets. She stood mesmerized, her eyes roaming his muscled body. He was hairless except at his head, his armpits, and his groin. His balls were adorable plump toys her fingers itched to touch.

“I’ll never tire of seeing you.”

“I want to see this proved true, Sid.” His voice was quiet and soft despite his bold pose.

“I almost can’t believe it. My prayers are answered. You came back.”

“I lived in fear every night. That you’d give up.”

  “I didn’t. I won’t.”

“Why?” He gestured with his chin down the length of him. “Because of this? Because I’m other?”

“You know. You read my letters.”

“Tell me. Make me believe I’m not ruining your life.” His black gaze brooded at her, but she knew he wasn’t changing his mind.

“When you came to me in that storm, you completed me. You… fixed me. The hole I’ve always carried. All I can think, when I’m with you, is…yes. Yes. Yes. It’s like a heartbeat. No-- a soulbeat. You are who I belong with. You loved me, so completely, without any fuss or falseness. You held me, you saw me, you knew me, and we… just… loved.”

His erection was fattening, arching against his thigh. His eyes stayed on her face as she devoured him. Abs. Hips. Calves.

She licked her lips. “You’ll be with me when you can?”

“Every moment I can. Most of the time.”

“I’m scared. When you go away, I’ll be scared. For awhile. That you won’t come back.”

“I know. But I’ll prove myself. You won’t be entirely alone. There are others.”

She blinked. “You have other women?”

He smiled with his eyes and his lips. “One is enough for me. There are a few humans special enough to love so strongly. Our island is beautiful. I can provide for you, Sid. Life will be so different, but it’s good. In many ways, from what I’ve read in your messages, I do believe you’ll do better with my people. My parents will love you.”

  She swallowed in horror. “Parents?”

  “I wasn’t hatched.”

She nodded, grinning. “You have to teach me.”

“I will. They’ll help. Everything I can do to make this easier for you, I’ll do.” He unfolded his arms from beneath his head, raised them out to her. “Before it all starts, let me savour this one more time. You, trusting me, forgiving me, daring to be with me. Let me love you, woman. It’s been hours.”

She stayed standing there, her eyes tearing. The warm breeze floated over her skin, while the dappled light from the water bounced on the cabin ceiling, reflected from the open hatch. The room glowed gold with the sunset. Her man was laying before her, reaching for her. No more tedious, robotic life, awkward while she summoned the resources to search for him. This time, she’d gone into the ocean, and Jand had finally come back.

She crawled onto the bed, bent and took him in her mouth. Yes. The rim of him caught on her lips as she opened wide. Just his head filled her whole jaw. No wonder she felt so full when he loved her. He strangled, his hands landing on her head. They were so huge they cupped her entire skull. She lovingly lapped over his warm, powder-soft crown, touched the dent at the edge where the skin was so thin. Her lips firmed and she suckled noisily, sloppily, her hands holding him gently. He gave a choking moan.

She sucked hard once more, and pulled him from her lips with a pop.

He grunted as she lapped at him, pushing hard against his tip with the flat of her tongue.

“I want to make love under the waves. With that bubble. What did you call it? Vapour?”

“Arhungh.” He made a pained moan as she tightened her grip at his base, brushed over his balls with the barest brush of her fingers, nipped at the side of him.

“I want you where I first found you, where we both belong.”

Her teeth scraped him a bit this time as she closed over his head again. Had he swelled even thicker? Her fingers dancing on his balls went under them. His hands tightened in her hair, making her moan in delight. She lifted her head off him, kissing his tip softly.

  “Too much?” she asked sweetly.

  “Sid!”

Her fingers wiggled in the dark space between his legs, pulling and rubbing at the soft, soft skin. Her other hand loosened and smoothed up his length, delighting in the texture of his hard-soft, veined column.

“I want to go in the water, Jand. I’ll make it good for you.” She sucked at the very tip, lashing him with her tongue. His hands were on her shoulders as he crunched up, pushing at her.

“Mmmm!” She fought to keep her mouth on him.

He was too strong, lifting her up his thighs. “Sid!”

She kept her grip tight around him. “Hey! I was busy there!”

He gasped, panting. “Noticed that. Wait… just wait.”

She leaned in and kissed his neck, licked him, mouthed a line of muscle. He writhed, flipped her, curled over her.

  “I can’t think!”

“You don’t need to think. Just say yes.”

“No. Sid… I have to practice my control. I can’t be so lost in you that I risk that situation again. Did you think it was easy for me to leave you? That I did it lightly? I was terrified, and ashamed, and—so many emotions I can’t name them all. Furious, agonized. I’m being incredibly brave to hope I can improve. Sometime in our future, I’ll trust myself enough to be with you that way. Not today. Not after three months of pain and need.”

“Yes, today. I’m not going to have this hanging over our heads. We’ll try it. We won’t go so deep. And if the vapour fails again, you’ll see I won’t die. You’d never let that happen. We’ll keep trying. But we’re not going to live in fear. To love in fear, in the one place we most belong.”

For a moment she thought he actually pouted. His chin jutted.

“Don’t you want to feel the coolness of it? This sun has been baking us all day. I’m tired of being sweaty. Think of how my breasts float in the water. How the liquid feels around that hard cock. Think of how warm I’ll feel inside, even warmer than the water.”

He looked at her. “You are generous, and brave.”

“So are you, Jand. C’mon. I’ve dreamed of this, ached for it.”

He looked down at his dick, shining from her lips. Back up at her, his eyes mysterious. “I’m yours.”

“If I finish you first, will you be able to get hard again?”

  “You’
ve seen what I’ve been like all day.”

She grinned. “You’re beautiful.” She licked her lips. “I want to taste the beautiful.”

He stared at her, the light flickering and dancing above his head. She smoothed his hair back from his face, so soft.

He lay back on the bed, propped on his elbows. “I remember all your written dreams of tasting me. They were very… effective. You’ll have to keep up your writing on the island. Drink all of me. I want to watch you swallow. Then we’ll go into the water.”

She’d gotten creamy from teasing him, but now her thighs washed with liquid. Yes. She opened her mouth and took him again, this time using her hands to prop herself. Her whole body lowered and rose as her throat took the few inches it could. Her lips trailed over his texture, her tongue rubbed against him.

“When you get really turned on, your eyes roll up a bit.”

She shivered at his low words.

“Your eyelashes flutter. I want to lick them. They’re so long.”

She took more of his length as she packed him into her throat.

“Your mouth feels like your cunt, only I can feel your teeth, so cute and tiny, and not quite as warm or as tight.”

  She swallowed on him.

“Woman, that feels beautiful.” His fingers cupped her jaw. “You glow in this light. Gilded.”

Her jaw ached, but it was good.

“When I have you in the water, I’m going to look at your nipples, and I’m going to imagine them in my throat, as deep as you have me now.”

Her thighs were trembling. She wanted to touch herself, but didn’t move her hands from where they were braced on either side of his hips. His hand left her jaw to tuck her hair behind her ear. “Your ears are the most beautiful shells I’ve ever seen. I’m going to get them their own pearls. Black, I think. And a pearl for your cunt, too, as big as your fist. It will shine so pretty inside you.”

The thought sent bursting pleasure through her veins. As she came, she drove herself halfway down his length, swallowing, slurping at him desperately.

“Swallow me, Sid. Taste me, and believe. I’m never leaving you again.”

She moaned wildly, the orgasm sending cum dripping down her thighs. He burst into her mouth like the rarest of cream, salty, delicious. She swallowed, bobbing.

“Ohhhh.” The groan was wrenched from his belly, his abs rippling as his hips jerked against her face.

Then she was knocked to the side, her thighs wrenched wide. His mouth latched over her and he drank, and drank. She heard him swallow, felt him suck at her core, and came again, moaning as low and long as he had. Shaking, she watched his dark head between her legs, and believed.

Finally, he sat up. He used his hand to wipe his face then licked it. He looked down at his dick, and she did too. The arching, fat, gleaming length twitched. He met her eyes and grinned.

Sid held her hand to him, and he wrapped his larger one around hers. He pulled her upright, and they climbed from the tangled, sweaty sheets. They held hands even as they went up the steep, narrow galley stairs onto deck. They didn’t let go even as they climbed up to sit on the side where he’d fucked her so beautifully that afternoon. They sat side by side, the sun a gleaming orange snake slicking a trail across the waves, the horizon to the east a deep magical violet. The evening star was out, a blessing on their quiet moment.

Her heart trembled, stilled, full and at peace. The ocean looked dark now, green-tinted black. But Jand was with her. She was not afraid of the depths. She looked over at him. His lips were a slash of grim darkness against his face, his eyes deep pools. His erection was almost complete. She smiled, and it was easy. She lifted their clasped hands, squeezed to signal him. The boat sloshed as they launched off.

The water was bliss, warm and cool at the same time, nearly the same temperature as the air. The wet enveloped her in a cocoon, her scalp feeling the shock the most, as her hair fanned out. Instead of kicking for the surface, they hung in the rush of bubbles from their plunge, looking at each other. The bubble was around her face. She breathed perfectly. No more awkward, uncomfortable snorkel. She was beaming so wide it was a wonder her face didn’t split. It was so amazing to be here. Home. Yes.

He pulled her into his arms, his warmth a comfort. She laid her head against his shoulder, gripped his back tight. She was with him. Yes. Eventually, he shifted his hips, his penis slipping between her legs so naturally. He notched her, and with a gentle flex, he slipped inside. A wave of soft desire flowed from the epicentre of his landing. His torso left hers, leaning back, and his hands came down her arms. When he interlaced their fingers, she discovered that his webbing stopped her, so only their fingertips curled together.

His gaze lowered to her breasts. They throbbed, remembering his desire, feeling the ghost of his lips in the lapping of the sea. She rocked on him, taking him deeper, loving that clench to his jaw. He rocked back, sending the wave higher in her body. His eyes tightened. She rode him, and they began a faint, fanning seesaw with their bodies. He was so easy in her slick heat. Thighs entwined, their hips were the pivot point.

The light danced like amber and garnet on the water above her head. She understood why it felt like an echo of peace. From below, knowing she was apart from the world now, that light show was a prayer sent to another life. Fight for what you want, who you are. Never give up. Her breath came easy within the flowing cap of air. They rocked, blended, floated, until the fiery jewels dimmed, just embers scattered above her, utter blackness all around.

But as the fire above faded, the fire inside her stoked. He gathered her in, bringing their faces together. Their bubbles combined. The wave inside her swelled, pressed.

“Too much?” His face was shadowed, but she could hear the tension.

“Perfect.” She clenched on him, rocking him back.

“Yes.” He pulled on her arms as he ground in. His lips captured hers. He was warm, alive. His passion melted into her mouth. Yes. Her breasts flattened against the slabs of muscle on his torso. His body was a taut, straining length along her, inside her. Their lips sealed as the bubble of air disappeared. The wave broke over her, tumbling her breath, shaking her muscles. She felt the cascade of their heated cum splash her belly, seep down her sensitive walls. They flexed and bowed together, breathing as one, safe in each other’s arms.

The summer Sid was twenty-two, a merman took her home, to keep.

  Epilogue

“Good Evening, and welcome to the evening news. This is WZBM serving Hamilton and Bermuda. The boat of an eccentric treasure hunter was found adrift today by fisherman seven miles off the south-eastern shore in calm water. There were no signs of disturbance, and the engine was off.

“The search is on for the missing woman, Sidney Smythe, age twenty-two. If the name rings a bell, that’s because Ms. Smythe made the news three months ago today when she washed ashore nude after surviving being swept overboard in a thunderstorm that took a holiday sailing charter by surprise. Mac West, the owner of Hamilton rentals, believes the infamous Bermuda Triangle has struck again. Volunteers interested in aiding the rescue search should contact the Maritime Operations Centre.”
