“How the fuck did you find me? How did you get in here? This my house and I want you to leave otherwise I am calling the police. Now get the fuck out of here!” Hanna raged, her fear replaced by anger.
“One question at a time. You made a promise to bear a child of the wise, did you not?” Nicholas asked her, his tone polite, light as the day she met him, but this time there was an undertone of amusement.
Hanna nodded, she had made the promise, but the rules had changed, she had agreed to something he hadn't given all the facts about. He had lied to her and the agreement was now void.
“I will not go through with this, you lied to me, Sally and Rachael about what was to happen once one of us fell pregnant.” Hanna stood, arms folded across her chest, hoping to look the way she felt inside at that moment, which was confident and angry.
“I will always know where you are. I will find you no matter where you go or what you do. The agreement you made was bound by the ritual and there is no getting out of it. I shall never let you abort our child. Do you understand?” His tone sounded frustrated.
“Never in a billion years would I have agreed to such a thing if you had been straight with me. No wonder God was disgusted with you and that your kind are on the brink of being extinct.”
Nicholas stood up and banged his hands down on the dining table causing it to collapse in a heap. He came stomping over to her and Hanna stumbled back a few feet, but was stopped by the wall. Nicholas wrapped his arm around her waist and with his free hand he stroked her chin. “I am sorry we misled you. I am sorry for lying to you. I am not sorry for the child you are carrying and I am not sorry for having fallen in love with you,” he hissed.
She felt his breath on her face and trembled with fear again as tears rolled down her cheeks. Nicholas kissed her tears then her lips. It felt warm and good.
Hanna didn't know what to say or do, his body was pressed up against hers and she could feel his muscular torso through her thin vest top and bra. She felt his eagerness for her like she had when they had first made love in the hotel suite and she could feel his cock growing against her hip through her jogging pants. He tugged at her hair clip to free her hair and it tumbled down over her shoulders, then he kissed her lips. At first she struggled to pull away from him, but his kiss was firm and she began to kiss him back, then they were locked in a passionate, desperate kiss. Nicholas lifted her vest top and pulled away from the kiss for a moment to lift it over her head and throw it aside. Hanna reached behind herself and unfastened her bra. She was desperate to feel his skin against hers and when he held her closer a moan escaped her. He carried her into the living room and brushed away the objects that littered the coffee table. Nicholas knelt between her legs as she sat up and ripped open his shirt sending buttons flying in all directions. They embraced.
Hanna lay back on the coffee table and allowed Nicholas to spread her legs wide, his tongue probing inside her pussy between lapping at her and sucking her clitoris hard. Her pussy was bulging and her juices flowing onto his tongue as he continued to explore the grooves and lines of her sex. A couple of hours and several orgasm's had passed before he lifted his head and smiled at her. His lips glistened with her juices. She sat up, kissed him and tasted herself in his mouth, sweet and musky and very sexy. Hanna started kissing his neck and shoulders and he ran his hands up her thighs and began to finger her, lazily. She flicked her tongue at his nipples and nibbled them hard. He stifled a groan and this made her smile to herself. Nicholas leaned back so she could put her mouth around the bulbous end of his cock. He stroked her back and her shoulders as Hanna sucked his cock and used her hands to pump him, running her tongue over his ridges and veins all the way down and then back upwards, cupping his testicles in one hand and again pumping him with the other. Hanna sucked hard and quickly until he couldn't stifle his groans of pleasure any longer and began panting as he reached orgasm and emptied himself into her throat. She swallowed hard as his coming came to an end.
Nicholas pulled Hanna on to the floor between the fireplace and the coffee table, Hanna facing the fireplace and he lying behind her on the rug. He leaned his hand again the glass pane of the fire. Hanna sat up straight in shock as the fire ignited. She just stared at it in utter amazement then turned to Nicholas.
“What the fuck was that?” she asked him in a whisper, her voice croaking and thick with lust.
“I can do lot of things humans cannot do. That is just one of them.” His voice was deep. “The child you are carrying won't have any of my abilities. It will be a normal child and have a normal childhood, but they will be gifted in talent and skill.”
Hanna didn't know if she believed him or if this was another sales pitch so she wouldn't have the baby aborted.
Nicholas pulled her back down and they lay there before the fire's warm and comforting blaze. He brushed her hair out of her face as she looked up at him and into his dark brown eyes, searching for truth. She couldn't see anything that she could make sense of. As she lay there cradled in his arms, he kissed her until his cock hardened against the back of her thighs.
Hanna knelt above him with her legs astride his hips. Looking down, she saw only a handsome man with shoulder length dark brown hair and a body like that of a bronzed Greek god; his muscular torso rippled as he breathed deeply. He held his cock in position as she mounted him and began to grind against him, slowly at first then, as the urgency grew, Nicholas wrapped his arms around her waist and began thrusting hard into her from beneath. With a groan, he rolled her on to her back and she wrapped her legs around his waist. He placed his elbows above her shoulders and stared deep into her eyes, pounding his cock quickly in to her soaking pussy. Their groans turned to heaving breaths as their pleasure and passion grew to a tingling hum throughout their bodies. Hanna felt as though she was falling inside herself, her mind buzzing and blank. His stare was hypnotic and the harder and faster he went she still wanted more, then a watery deep current washed over the both of them as their orgasm came flooding through and they lay there panting in a fevered sweat of lust and desire.
Chapter 5
Hanna and Nicholas were showering, he ran his hands and soapy sponge over her growing stomach now bulging with a child due to be born in three months time. She leaned against him as he covered her slippery skin in soap suds and thought about the last two months she had spent with Nicholas. He had been attentive to her every need; he had been a normal father, attending scans and doctors appointments, and he had become her life and friend. They cooked and ate together, decorated a nursery and he had somehow managed to persuade the landlord of the rented house to sell it to them. They entertained friends and had dinner parties, friends that she had known from growing up in Blackburn and friends she had met since returning, all of them seemed to love Nicholas and found him amusing and polite except one - Karen Mackay.
Hanna and Karen had arranged to meet up and shop for baby clothes and toys. Nicholas stayed behind to finish some decorating. Hanna and Karen had known each other since childhood and their parents had known one another before that. Hanna trusted Karen. The two of them visited a pub and sat at the window seat, chatting away. Karen tensed up whenever Hanna mentioned Nicholas.
“Okay, I know you have something to say so say it,” Hanna said to her friend, her tone level and light hearted.
“I don't like him,” Karen said quickly then drank half her pint of lager.
“Why? And be straight with me,” Hanna asked, pressing her friend, knowing this was the only time she would have to share her burden before the baby was born.
“He gives me the creeps, he's...he's too perfect. Nicholas has an answer for almost everything and the stuff he can't answer he ignores, cracks a joke or two then moves on to talking to somebody else. There is something up with him,” Karen replied and stared at Hanna, waiting for a reaction.
Hanna chose the opportunity to tell Karen everything and by the end of it her friend sat there with her mouth open. “And that's why I moved back here
, he found me and well he's been looking after me and out for the baby ever since.”
“Is everything okay, can I get you anything?” a waiter asked the two of them.
“Err... Yeah I want two pints of large and two shots of anything you have, make that four shots of the strongest alcohol you have here,” Karen shouted at the waiter; she was in total shock and hadn't realised how loudly she had spoken.
Hanna laughed as the waiter almost ran from their table.
“What are you... Nope what the fuck were you thinking? Sack that, fuck it. Oh my fucking god. I don't know what to think or say. I don't believe you,” Karen gasped as the waiter brought over their drinks. “Drink now and we will think and talk in a minute.”
Both of them swigged down the shots of tequila, a group of female co-workers at a table next to them gasped as they saw Hanna, heavily pregnant downing her shot. “What the fuck are youse lot looking at,” Karen yelled before turning her attention back to Hanna.
“You need to go to the police about those women; you know that. You need to get this man out of your life or I will,” Karen said, looking deep into Hanna's eyes very soberly and stubbornly.
“What good will that do? I will have my baby taken away from me. Nicholas won't be imprisoned and I will look like a complete fruitcake, for fuck sake come up with something better than that.” Hanna laughed and brushed away a tear.
Karen too began to wipe away tears and they sat there laughing and crying. Hanna had struck a chord with Karen. She and her partner Scot had lost a child just nine days old and Karen knew what life and death meant more than anybody besides Hanna. Hanna remembered the funeral of that child and the false face of coping with such a loss. Hanna had been the last guest to leave the wake and saw the couple sobbing for a life that was very much loved and would always be. It had been hard to leave the friends she cared so much for in that hour, but she knew it was their pain and theirs alone and nothing could be done or said to make the situation better no matter how much anybody wanted it.
Now Karen thought about the moment she was told her baby had only one heart valve and a hole in that little heart; she was told he wouldn't live once he was born and she thought about the choice she had made - the choice to give him life, short but still a life. Karen and Scot knew their son, only for a short time, but he had a life, he was known and he was loved and was missed.
“Right, I will keep your secrets and I will help and support you, but...and this is a big BUT, if we find a way to get rid of Nicholas, take it.” Karen was slurring now but very serious; they both knew that it was that only way through this whole mess.
“Okay, I promise, if you find a way to banish him then I will do it,” Hanna slurred as she replied to her friend.
“Taxi time, my friend.” Karen dragged herself out of the seat and picked up a load of carrier bags from their shopping spree.
Hanna paid and they went. She dropped Karen at her house then continued home to Nicholas.
“I'm doing this for your baby as I was graced with an angel, my son Dominic, and I feel that you have been robbed of the choice. Let us hope that the outcome will be different. Good night and god bless my baby boy,” Karen told her as she poured herself out of the taxi and stumbled to her house.
Chapter 6
Nicholas drove Hanna to hospital. Tonight was the night their baby would be born. They had a private room and Hanna looked at Nicholas. “You've done something, haven't you?”
“What do you mean?” he replied, answering her question with a question. Hanna felt a sharp moment of anger towards him, but the room was nice and she liked the privacy.
They waited a long time before being seen by a doctor and when they did it was only a quick visit, having checked all was well he left and was replaced by a nurse who took her own records; she barely spoke to them before telling them to press a button if they should need her.
Hanna was now in full labour and, since Nicholas had persuaded her to have a natural birth, the pain was white heat inside her mind. She panted between swearing at him and the nurses that were present. Nicholas laughed and joked about it taking two to tango and she wanted to rip his tongue out, but all she could do was scream. He held her hand and stroked her back, but nothing eased the pain.
Karen came to the hospital with somebody she had found on the internet, this somebody was called Jude Gabriel and he had brought his assistant. All three of them were directed to Hanna's room, when they entered she looked at Nicholas who looked to be in complete shock.
“Not in this life time!” Nicholas roared at them and Karen fell over the table and chair to get away from them.
“What the fuck? Ahhrrr....” Hanna yelled at her.
“I found them on Facebook, they said they could help,” she explained.
“Said they could help? Really? You know what I ought to do?” Nicholas rained down upon her.
“Stop! Please stop. I told her; it's my fault,” Hanna screamed at him through another contraction.
He looked at her, and she saw pain in his eyes at the betrayal then he turned on the others. “Get away from me, Hanna and the baby!” he snapped at Jude and Jonathan.
“We cannot do that brother. That baby needs blessing and you know it,” Jude told him, calmly.
“What are they talking about?” Hanna asked as she panted through the pain.
There was a flash and Hanna and Karen were left alone in the birthing room. Karen rushed to her friend's side as another contraction hit and pressed the buzzer for the nurses. The nurses came rushing in and then it seemed like pandemonium.
At 12 a.m. on the sixth of July, weighing 7 oz. a baby girl was born. Hanna gazed into her baby's face while Karen leaned over and they both greeted the little baby girl into the world.
Hanna didn't know what happened to Nicholas that night, but he did come back weeks later looking drained and wounded.
“I am a man, I gave it all up,” he told her.
Hanna didn't press him. She knew something about him was different and, when she introduced him to their child, he sat there with the baby in his arms and cried.
“I am a just a man, but I am now a father and that makes me more than a man. I give my life and myself to protect and love till my life ends,” Nicholas whispered to Hanna as he held their baby tight.

Matteo Sorrention pauses in his race around the bar, to take a look around and marvel at all the people pouring in the door. He's hardly stood still since four in the afternoon; busy preparing the place for a hopping Friday night crowd. Even now at nine, he's still incredibly busy making sure everything's running smoothly before he goes on stage with his band. Matteo's wife, Morreen, is manning the bar while his band plays. He glances toward the front where she is busy mixing drinks. She smiles politely at a patron whose enthusiasm far exceeds her own. Matteo grimaces, wishing she would liven up, worrying that things will disintegrate while he's on stage with her in charge. As if sensing him watching, Morreen's pretty green eyes shift in his direction and catch his frown. She frowns as well, and he recovers by brandishing upon her a vibrant smile. But she does not smile back. She returns her attention to the bar, her face sadly drawn.
Matteo sighs and takes off again. The band is already on stage and have kicked up the first song. He takes a long-legged, graceful leap and lands on stage. Grabbing the mic, Matteo begins to belt out the first notes of a driving country song in his low, gravelly voice. Bodies gyrate on the dance floor and as always, Matteo has the audience captivated.

"What's that lead singer drinking, do you know?" a girl asks Morreen Sorrention at the bar.
Morreen glances at the stage as Matteo grooves under colorful lights. He wears crisp blue jeans that ride low on his hips and are boot cut, accommodating his pristine black cowboy boots. His white button down shirt is rolled at the sleeves and even from here she can see the flames of his tattoos creeping down his forearms. Several buttons are undone and
a beguiling crop of chest hair peaks out and his strong jaw, accented with a slight shadow of stubble, moves fluidly as he sings. As always the sound of Matteo's voice sends a shiver through her.
She turns her eyes back to the tramp standing before her with her heavily made up face and mane of long blonde hair. Though it is February, the girl wears tight cigarette pants and a barely there form fitting halter top that exposes her midriff and nearly everything else. Despite the thick scent of cigarette smoke and spilled beer, Morreen smells the girl's oppressive perfume. Though the girl looks slutty, she is gorgeous. Morreen is no slouch herself, but lately she hasn't felt she measures up to these pretty young things.
"Yeah, I know what he drinks; he's my husband," Morreen says with no attempt to conceal her contempt.
The girl's eyes snap to Morreen and she gives her a snide smile with her ruby red lips. "Yeah? Well what's he drink?"
"Jack and Coke," Morreen replies sharply.
The girl titters, obviously enjoying Morreen's display of jealousy. "OK," the girl says with a smart-ass tone. "Well give me one, then!"
Morreen's shadowy eyes narrow and her pale cheeks redden. "Do you have ID?" Morreen growls.
The girl rolls her eyes. "Wow, seriously? They carded me at the door."
Morreen extends her hand. "ID or get out," she snaps.
The girl makes a big spectacle of fetching her ID from her purse, grumbling and sighing. Morreen notes the girl is in fact old enough to be there - by three days. Grudgingly, she serves the girl a weak Jack and Coke. Without a thank you or a tip, the girl plucks the drink from the bar and bounces off into the crowd.
