“Guilty,” I admit sheepishly.
In case you’re wondering, Glenn’s taking a few days off after Christmas to come back to London with me for the New Year (yes, that’s right: we’re seeing the New Year in together, in London, and, for once, it seems, I’m not going to be going to bed early!). I’m planning on showing him the sights (the Dungeons and the Tower of London are, obviously, top of the list) before he comes back here while I work my month’s notice in Falcone’s.
Then, I’m coming back home; to Keldsthwaite, to my friends and family and to the man I love.
For good.
“I hope you won’t hold it against me,” I grin.
“Not a chance,” he says, pulling me into his arms as he kisses my cheek.
“I love you,” I murmur, knowing I’ll never tire of saying these words.
“I love you, too,” he echoes (and I’ll certainly never tire of hearing them, believe me!).
I sigh contentedly, thinking back over the last five years and the rocky road I’ve travelled to get here, to this moment; there had been a time when I’d wondered if I’d ever find someone to make my life complete but, it seems that, despite everything, I have – and all thanks to a bear/dog with no appreciation for personal space.
Only a few weeks ago, I’d dreaded the prospect of the New Year; I’d dreaded going back to London, to my empty flat, but now…
I’m finally ready to live my life to the full, with Glenn by my side.
I smile, leaning into Glenn’s embrace as he tightens his hold of me.
Bring on the New Year…
Please Leave A Review!
Honest reviews will help spread the word and bring my books to the attention of other readers who may enjoy them. I don’t have the muscle of the big publishers so can’t take out full page ads or put posters up in towns and cities… but I do have something far more valuable:
A loyal, and committed, bunch of readers.
So, if you enjoyed reading ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS, and want to help me spread the word, then please spare a few minutes to leave a review (it can be as short as you like).

Author’s Note
This story feels like it’s been awhile in the making, to be honest; it’s a story I’ve always been destined to write.
I was twelve when I had my first holiday in the Lake District: camping at Pooley Bridge, a small village at the north end of Ullswater. We pitched our tent on a hill, overlooking the lake itself and had the most glorious views I could imagine. It was then that I fell in love with, not only the Lake District, but Ullswater, itself.
So, when I sat down to write this book, it made sense to set it in the Lakes and, where better, than on the edge of my favourite lake? Jess and Glenn’s love of the Lakes echo my own, as well as many others, I’m sure, and I hope you have as much enjoyment reading about Keldsthwaite as I did writing about it.
In fact, I’ve become so immersed in Keldsthwaite life, and the lives of the people living there, that I’m unable to let them go! So, All I Want For Christmas has become the first book of the ‘Romance In The Lakes’ series. Jess and Glenn’s story is just the start; coming up next is Holly’s and, then, Sofia’s – trust me, I’m getting ideas already and can’t wait to get started!

About the Author
Hello, everyone!
First things first: let me tell you something about myself… I’ve always loved writing anything from romantic comedies, fantasy or even horror and becoming an author has been my dream for as long as I could remember…In fact, my very first story, at about the age of eleven, was about a little mouse called Gizmo who rescued a cat called Bilbo from a fire! I loved that story, as did my teacher; so much so, that I revisited those characters over the course of the year for various writing projects and I credit that year to the time I began learning my craft.
But life soon took over and I trained for a ‘proper job’ as a primary school teacher. I have been teaching for ten years now but have never turned my back on writing. I have collaborated with my best friend for over ten years but the itch to write for myself has never gone away and, now, I have finally taken the plunge…
At the end of a long day, there’s nothing I love more than curling up with my cat and a good book – well, apart from writing, that is! When I’m not writing, I can be found spending time with friends and family, hiking in the British countryside and watching any number of TV shows and movies.
I love to hear from my readers so if you want to get in touch with me about my books, please do! You can contact me on: [email protected] or, if you’d prefer, through the Contact Page on this site.
Alternatively, if you want to receive regular updates from me (don’t worry, I won’t spam you!), you can sign up to my mailing list on the Welcome page, if you haven’t already done so, that is.
I look forward to hearing from you!
