“Okay.” She stared deeply into his eyes. “Then when I got to the reception, I saw you out of the corner of my eye right as I came into the room. You were over by the bar. I thought you were gorgeous and I hoped you weren’t with a date.

“I sent a loud mental ‘help me’ in your direction as I headed for my table with Trey trailing behind me way too close. And you showed up to save me. How could I not discover what you tasted like as soon as the opportunity was available?”

“I want you so desperately I’m not sure I can walk right now, but I also need you to know that I’m willing to wait.”

“I appreciate it, but I don’t want to wait any longer.”

JD kissed her mouth and slid his hands down her back to cup her lovely derriere. After a few seconds, something else occurred to him. He slipped one hand beneath the frilly hem of her soft dress, gliding his fingers along her thigh to her ass. She didn’t have any undies on. He groaned at the realization she’d gone all night sans panties. He’d noticed the lack of a bra when she opened her door. The missing panties were a big surprise.

Breaking apart for only a second, he said, “You only wore a dress and shoes tonight.”

“Shoes and a kind of long shirt, like you told me were required to get into the restaurant.”

A pulse of lust raced down his spine, sending spasms of arousal through his body.

JD didn’t waste any more time trying to wait and give her time to be sure she wanted him. She’d left her apartment tonight purposefully not wearing anything under her dress. He got the message. It was obviously time for action.

He clenched her close, scooted off the barstool and pulled her upstairs to his master bedroom. Forget the tour. He was taking her straight to bed.

  * * * *

Samantha smiled when his hands skimmed down her back and he finally realized what she wasn’t wearing. Before she could do more than offer a quip about shoes and a shirt, he’d jumped off his barstool and dragged her upstairs. He didn’t say a word. He just closed the door, grabbed her up in his arms, kissed her like he meant business and moved them toward the large sleigh bed against the far wall of the room.

Once he’d pushed her against one side, he pressed her down to the mattress. His kisses were over the top. He was aggressive. He was almost overwhelming. He made her wish she wore small undies to soak up the drenched feeling between her legs.

One palm moved up her thigh and didn’t stop until his fingers stroked her intimately. She moaned into his mouth, but he kept kissing her. In fact, he stepped up his attentions, both with his mouth and with his hand between her thighs. She was about to lose it. She’d waited all week for this. His magical fingers moved against her until she writhed and bucked beneath him.

Instead of stopping to strip down and climb between her legs, he pushed his fingers deeply inside her body. She stiffened, helplessly letting go the instant he breached her body. When his thumb skimmed across her clit, she came like it was her job, back arching, limbs stiffening, core clenching around his fingers embedded within her.

He made a satisfied noise the moment she released. But he didn’t slow or stop. He kissed her harder, and eased his hands beneath her dress to push the soft fabric up her body, revealing her nakedness.

His mouth landed on the tip of one breast and he took her between his lips. He moaned as he suckled, sending her arousal back up into the stratosphere. He moved to suck her other nipple and again her libido danced with a total lack of restraint. He moved away from her momentarily to shuck the rest of his clothes and retrieve a condom from his nightstand, sheathing himself quickly as she watched, wide-eyed and ready.

JD joined her on the bed. She couldn’t stop trembling, both from her recent climax and her utter need to join sexually with him. She was about to kick her shoes off, but he stopped her. “Leave them on. I like them.” The passionate, intense stare that went along with that statement sent a zing of pleasure through her.

On his knees atop the covers, he positioned himself between her legs, which were spread wide. He carefully lowered his hips until they touched together below. Her eyes closed in reverence. Finally. She’d waited so long for this. Samantha couldn’t wait until he entered her and they were fused together erotically and completely.

Lowering his face to lick the tip of each nipple, JD then sucked each one into his warm mouth, one after the other. She watched him as desire and heavy arousal spread through her body. He was taking his time. She appreciated that he wasn’t hurried, but she was long past ready. She nudged him with her hips, seeking the ultimate connection.

He rose up, kissing her lips briefly before pulling back to stare at her with an intensity she appreciated. His tanned muscular chest smooth, with a smattering of hair in the center was perfect. His chiseled features so serious and devastating to all her senses. He was her own personal hotter than hot, bad boy about to take her to previously unknown heights of pleasure.

Samantha lifted her torso, resting on one elbow to kiss him harder even as she inched her lower half closer into position, afraid he’d change his mind and not go through with it.

JD gave her another lust-filled stare and pushed his cock carefully inside her body, slow and steady until he was fully seated. His expression shifted, looking at her with what felt like love and maybe a little awe once they were very intimately entrenched. They fit together very well. He felt big, making their joining a nice, tight fit.

He pushed out a breath, his eyes closing briefly as though savoring the fact their long-awaited anticipation was about to be satisfied.

Once they were as close as two people could be, he kissed her tenderly and started moving inside her slick body. Her eyes practically rolled back in her head as he increased the tempo of his thrusts, moving a bit faster and a bit harder with each subsequent stroke.

Before Samantha even realized she was touching him, she’d gripped his shoulders, nails digging into his muscles as pleasurable sensations stunned her from every direction. She wrapped one shoe-clad foot around JD’s thigh, anchoring herself better. Then she lifted her hips to meet each of his ever-increasing thrusts.

Each time he penetrated deeply, an ecstatic thrill rode up her spine. His hand went to the thigh she had curved around him. He pulled her into him harder and faster. The angle shifted as they came together and pleasure spiked within her as she got stroked perfectly. Four thrusts later, she was certain she screamed loud enough to be heard down the street as the second orgasm of the night ripped through her with an intensity even greater than the first.

Her core clenched around his sizable shaft repeatedly. Seconds later, JD groaned, speeding his movements for a few more strokes before finally stiffening against her and burying his face into her throat. He panted like he’d just finished a race. Her own respiration felt none too steady. She smiled, hoping he’d enjoyed that as much as she had.

Samantha kissed the side of his face. “You may have been right about the whole anticipation part of your seduction all week, because that was awesome.”

He chuckled. “You’re right. It was remarkable, but I suspect it would have been amazing regardless of how long we waited.” He slipped his arms beneath her, rolling her with him until he was flat on his back with her draped over his chest. Her dress was shoved up over her breasts. One of her shoes had dislodged. She vaguely recalled hearing it hit the floor as it tumbled off the edge of the bed.

“You could be right.” She kissed his shoulder and noticed the half-crescent marks from her nails. “Sorry to claw you. I lost my head in the moment.”

“Oh, I’m not sorry about that at all,” he said, kissing her mouth forcefully. He shifted her to his side, then rolled out of bed and headed for the open bathroom door. Over one shoulder he said, “Don’t go anywhere. I’m not done with you yet.”

Samantha sat up and stripped the dress off over her head, tossing it at a chair in the corner. She also pulled the remaining shoe off and pitched it near the other one beside the bed. They hadn’t ev
en folded the covers down.

She stifled a giggle at the visual of their first time, going at it on top of the covers, with her shoes on and her dress shoved up to her neck because they just couldn’t wait a second longer.

By the time JD returned, she was completely naked and waiting for him beneath the sheets. He spied her shoes on the floor and smiled before slipping into bed with her.

She reclined on her side, one hand propping up her head. He faced her, mirroring her pose.

“I’m going to want to do that again,” she said. “Soon.”

“Good. I’m going to want to do that from now on every time I see you.”

  “No more anticipation?”

He shook his head. “No. As I suspected, with only one taste I’m completely addicted to you. I’m always going to want you as soon as I can have you. And every time you see me, this is what I’ll be thinking about.”

  “What, the amazing sex?”

“Well, seeing you naked first,” he said with a sexy curve of his lips. “And then the amazing sex.”

  Chapter Seven

Two weeks later – Wakeman’s warehouse

JD backed his truck into Wakeman’s loading dock as Robin directed him. Once in place, he turned off the motor and headed into the warehouse with the paperwork. He unlocked the back of the truck, lifted the gate and an employee with a dolly and another with a handcart approached to start unloading the cargo.

“How was the honeymoon?” he asked, but sent his gaze inside to scan the area for anyone else familiar.

“I enjoyed it…” Robin said more words, but JD wasn’t paying attention like he should.

She stopped talking. He responded with, “Good. Are you glad to be back?”

“Not at all…” Again his attention was on searching the inside of the warehouse, particularly near Robin’s office.

“Good,” JD said, not at all sure what she’d just told him. His subconscious registered the words moon and monkey. “Wait. What did you say?”

Robin laughed. “You’re not even paying attention to me.”

  “Mostly I am.” Not true.

“Oh? Because I said I enjoyed my honeymoon, especially on the moon, and I wasn’t glad to be back because of all the monkeys loose in the warehouse.”

JD grinned. “Perhaps I’m a bit preoccupied with something, or rather, someone else.”

She grinned in return. “I’ll say, but I get it. And I forgive your lack of attention.”

“Thanks.” He handed her a clipboard. “Here you go.” He sent another quick glance towards her office. He wished Samantha worked nearby so he could say a quick hello, but she worked on the tenth floor where the store’s corporate offices were located.

“Don’t worry. She’s on her way down.”

“Who’s on her way down?” JD smiled. “I’m certain I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Inside he did a fist pump. He’d hoped that mentioning to Samantha he might be delivering something today, along with a specific time, would prompt her to visit Robin while he was here. It was foolish, since he’d seen Samantha each and every day since they’d met, but seeing her during work hours was like a clandestine bonus he looked forward to all morning long.

“The jig is up. She talked and I know everything.”

  “Really? Everything? I doubt that.”

Robin nodded, a sly grin shaping her lips. She leaned in close. “I’m so impressed that you can bake a cake.”

JD gave her his best alarmed expression, but he truly didn’t care. “What else do you know?”

She winked. “I know you both should have gone out months ago when I was trying to set you two up.” Robin directed her employees where to take the cargo and headed toward her office. He followed.

“Yes, yes. I bow to your awesome matchmaking skills.” JD entered the office right behind her, but before he could react, Robin slipped around him to duck out of the office and close the door. “What the—?”

“Well, hello there.” The soft sound of Samantha’s voice brought him to instant attention.

He spun around as the love of his life slid into his arms. He hugged her tight as she pressed him against the door Robin had just closed. She also promptly kissed him like they were about to do wicked, wicked things in here.

“Miss me?” he asked between luscious kisses. He needed to slow down or he’d spend the rest of the day walking funny.

  “Yes.”

  “Just since last night?”

  “Yes.”

  “Good. I missed you, too.”

  “It’s Friday.”

  “It is.”

“You haven’t mentioned what we’re doing yet.”

“It’s our official date night, but I do believe it’s your turn to think of something fun for us to do.”

“Good. I want to get takeout food, stay home, watch movies and eat popcorn.”

  “My place or yours?”

“Mine. And then in the morning when I unchain you from my bed, I’ll let you take me out to breakfast.”

“Good deal. I’ll be over tonight with takeout. Oh, wait. You aren’t going to make me watch mushy love story movies, are you?”

She snorted in the most adorable way, and said, “No way! There’s a James Bond marathon on cable television tonight.”

“You are the most awesome girlfriend ever.”

She sucked in a sharp breath of shock. “What? You think of me as your girlfriend?”

“Oh, I don’t think it, honey. I know you are.” To prove his point, he kissed her possessively, only breaking away when he sensed they were both on the barest edge of losing complete control.

“I better go, or else wickedness will take place on Robin’s desk. We don’t want her to have any more private information about us than she already does.”

She released him, but smiled thoughtfully, as if debating the issue in her mind. “You’re right. Let’s use our anticipation super power to wait until tonight.”

“Okay.” He couldn’t help it; he kissed her.

“Kiss me like that again, and my anticipation super power will go straight out the window.”

JD kissed her one last time, leaving her with a smile, and exited Robin’s office.

Robin frowned as he passed her, and whispered, “You weren’t in there long enough.”

He huffed. “You’re just lucky we have respect for your desk space. It was a really close call.”

She laughed as he exited the dock area and headed back to the cab of his truck, whistling a happy tune.

JD was looking forward to movie date night and spending it with his girlfriend.

  * * * *

Samantha readied her place for movie night with JD. She slipped into pajama pants and a loose T-shirt. She put a few extra pillows on the sofa to snuggle together in comfort, got several packets of popcorn out beside the microwave and had a big plastic bowl at the ready.

She flipped to the channel with the marathon showing James Bond movies all night, leaving her television on mute until he arrived. She could opt to show all the movies without commercial interruption, but when the movie ended, she planned to kiss JD’s socks off. They might not even make it all the way through the first movie before wild, wicked things took place. Samantha smiled to herself, not caring about missing anything on television.

A ping sounded from her computer, announcing an alert she’d placed a long time ago. She raced over to her laptop and saw that the Casa Blanca Resort and Spa at Barefoot Bay on Mimosa Key had a room opening for a week’s stay in their plush, amazing paradise spot.

Samantha had toured the resort before it opened to make a pitch for Wakeman’s to provide some high-end merchandise for the rooms. She’d wanted to stay there ever since, but lacked the funds and more importantly that certain someone special to go with her.

She clicked on the e-mail that announced she’d been given an opportunity to obtain the week she’d selected, but she had to act quickly or it would be offered to the next interested pa
rty on the waiting list. She had until tomorrow night at midnight. Samantha rolled her mouse over the “accept this offer now” button, wanting to push it more than anything, but hesitated. Before she could click to accept and spend two years’ worth of vacation savings along with maxing out a credit card, the buzzer by her door sounded.

JD. A thrill rode down her spine. He was certainly her someone special, but she couldn’t swing the full price without putting a large debt on her credit card. She’d been saving, but was only halfway to her goal. Paradise certainly didn’t come cheap. Just as well. If it did, no one would think it was special. And it was.

Samantha abandoned her computer to buzz him up. Leaving the door ajar so he could let himself in, she went back to her laptop. Chin resting on her palm, silently pondering whether she wanted to run up the balance on her credit card, she stared at the message and imagined what it would be like for a little bit.

Before she deleted the alert, JD came in with two stacked pizza boxes. The aroma of barbeque chicken and black olive pizza—their shared favorite—along with the sweet scent of cinnamon knots for dessert wafted over to where she sat. He closed and locked the door behind him and approached her desk. “What’s up?”

  “Oh, I’m just dreaming.”

She got up and went into the kitchen to get plates. Once they’d gobbled down half of the pizza, he asked, “Tell me what you were dreaming about. I’d like to know.”

“I’ll show you.” She wiped a smear of barbeque sauce off the corner of her mouth, stood and went over to where she’d left her laptop open. He followed close behind. “I’ve wanted to vacation at this place called Casa Blanca Resort and Spa for quite a while. It’s on Mimosa Key. They sent me an alert right before you arrived that there was a cancellation. If I had the money, instead of only half of it, I’d push the button and reserve a week in paradise for us both.”

“When is the week there available?”

  “The last part of October.”

He bent down, kissed her cheek and read the email. “Tell you what. I can put in the half you need if you truly want to go.” He pulled his wallet from his pocket and dropped a credit card down on the table.
