Holding the infant gently in his arms, William bent his head until it rested against Anthony, who sat contentedly. He stroked the baby’s forehead and soon his eyes filled with tears and he began to cry.
Lily’s heart lurched in her chest. She wasn’t able to hold back a gasp as she clenched her hands close to her heart. Seeing this first true emotional display from the man who’d always shared his sentiments with his family was an incredible moment.

Lily heard the words in her ear as clearly as if someone had whispered them to her. A gentle breeze touched her face and she knew Ryan was letting her know that everything was going to be all right.
