“Darius is staying right here. We’ll do everything she can,” she told him leaning a bit closer to him to make him know it was OK to be vulnerable with her.
“It means a lot to hear you say that,” Stavros said leaning closer to Imani.
“It means a lot that you’re trusting me to help you,” she told him. They were almost touching now, the only light glowing through the both of them being the soft gray cast over their smooth skin from the giant moon.
“Well, now that we’re married, maybe we should consummate the marriage,” he joked as he stood across from her on the stairs. Behind her was the side that led to her room and where Darius was sleeping. Across from her sat Stavros’s office and his master suite. She drifted away from the house for a moment as it existed as a physical space. she felt herself closely connected to Stavros, feeling like they were drifting towards each other, not realizing that it was her body doing all the pulling.
He leaned down and kissed her gently at first, Imani immediately relieved that she was feeling his lips against hers once again. He pushed in more, giving Imani exactly what she had been needing for some time now. He pulled back and looked at her, pushing someone of the curls around her face behind her ear, looking deep into her eyes.
“You’re beautiful,” he said, looking at her glowing face as the moon cast a subtle shadow over her face. He leaned in and kissed her again, Imani letting herself fall towards him. He squeezed her, lifting her onto the railing of the ledge of the staircase. It was thick enough for her to sit, though she wrapped her legs around him, pulling herself closer towards him. He continued kissing her as he moved her hands all over her body.
Imani was enjoying every second of everything that happened, but was it wrong? They were kissing right in the front, so anyone could walk right in. Darius might wake up and need water or want to hear another bedtime story from Stavros. Imani was feeling like they should move, but she couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed by her desire to continue kissing Stavros. Nothing felt better than his lips against her neck and her hands wrapped around his strong shoulders, pulling herself as close to him as possible as he touched his warm skin against hers.
He was her husband after all. Even though they weren’t doing it because they were in love, it was still true. Consummating the marriage was necessary, right? Stavros picked Imani up with ease. “My room?” He whispered in Imani’s ear, a noise that instantly started to fill her underwear with warm wetness.
“Yes,” she whispered back, tracing her lips over his ear as her mouth left the crevice of his neck. She planted kisses around him as he held her close, holding her butt up as she hung onto his shoulders.
She was thrilled he was finally allowing her access to his most personal space, but she was even more thrilled that they were about to make love. He opened his bedroom doors and kissed her neck hard, causing her to let out a bit of a moan as she felt in between her legs begin to pulse.
He set her down on the bed, moving quickly between her legs. Imani had not been prepared to make love to Stavros, though she did always keep herself groomed just in case an opportunity presented itself. She had decided to wear all white since it was the first time she was getting married after all. She wore a white bralette paired with a high waisted white skirt, white strappy heels and white lingerie just to make sure that she was matching all around. She kept her hair curly and natural, a wild look to pair with the clean outfit.
Stavros slowly peeled her skirt off, revealing the lace set. He kissed his way up her stomach, slowly lifting her shirt up as well. One of her nipples popped out of her bra, Stavros planting slow kisses across that like she had just done to his neck.
He slid his hand down in between her legs, slowly entering to feel the warm insides that had been getting wetter by the second.
“I’ve been wanting this,” he told her as he pressed his palm against her clitoris, sending shivers down to her knees.
“Me too,” she moaned back as he moved his hand faster between her legs. She could feel him growing larger as he grinded up against her knee, moving back and forth in the same motion he did with his hand.
Imani was getting perfectly excited, her body swallowing Stavros. He slipped his own white shirt off, revealing the broad body Imani had been craving. She wondered how he had time to work out between his endless nights at the office. She leaned in and kissed his stomach, placing her cold hands against his back, sending shivers down to his own knees.
He knelt on the bed in front of her and she looked up into his deep dark eyes. He slowly leaned down and placed a kiss on her smooth forehead, getting the scent of her hair as he pulled back. She slowly unbuckled his black pants and unzipped them, maintaining eye contact the entire time.
When they were at the restaurant, she couldn’t help but think it was strange that they knew so little about each other even though they were already married.
Now, as she looked into his eyes, hand pulling out his throbbing penis, she felt like they were one person.
As she continued to stare at him, she leaned forward, taking his entire manhood into her mouth. she slowly teased her lips around the head, letting the saliva in her mouth coat his penis like a warm blanket.
She tightened her lips, wanting to feel every vein with her mouth and tongue. She was careful not to touch her teeth to his sensitive and smooth skin, though it was hard not to as it filled her mouth.
He pushed himself into her, the tip of his penis reaching the back of her throat. She looked up at him, his abs like rolling hills as his moon eyes set over the side. He grabbed the back of her head, slowly tugging her hair back to let her know that he couldn’t take much more or else he might explode.
She fell back onto the bed as he slipped his pants off, Imani removing the rest of her clothes quickly.
He slowed down as he crawled back into bed, freezing time to linger over Imani, getting a visual reminder of her long brown body filling his silk white sheets. He leaned in to give her a soft kiss before slowly opening her legs. He held his own penis as he slowly touched the tip to her lips, Imani feeling herself close a little as her nerves took over.
His gaze was powerful, and Imani had to remind her body to relax. He slowly pushed his way in, letting go and placing his arms around Imani. He pressed himself hard on top of her, moving in and out slowly as he kissed her neck.
“Oh god,” he said as he started to move faster. Imani moaned as he worked his way deeper and deeper inside, Imani’s legs spread flat open, taking everything inside. Imani moved her arms down to Stavros’s backside, pushing him inside of her as deep as possible. She squeezed his body into hers for a few moments before she could feel herself orgasming, his deep head hitting her spot just right, his body pressing into hers just hard enough to keep her orgasm lasting.
With just a few more thrusts, Stavros pulled out of Imani, both of them touching his hard penis to help empty his warm fluid all over her flat stomach. Before immediately getting up, he leaned over Imani once again to give her a few softer kisses, her body filled with warmth as the soft pecks flowed throughout her body.
“As my new wife, I’ll expect that ever Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday,” he joked as he walked to the bathroom. They both laughed.
“That’s it?” Imani teased as he tossed a towel at her, her wiping her own stomach up. She liked that they were joking, but at the same time, she wanted to immediately ask what that meant now that they had officially slept together as husband and wife.
Stavros crawled into bed as Imani sat on top of the covers, not sure if she was supposed to stay or if she should head back to her own bedroom at this point.
“Come keep me warm,” Stavros told her, Imani’s question immediately getting answered.
Chapter7
Imani slowly opened her eyes, immediately feeling a ball in her stomach that needed to come up. she sat up as slow as possible, looking over to see Stavros slowly stirring as she lifted herself carefully from the bed. She wasn’t wearing any clot
hes, her and Stavros’s bodies keeping each other warm all night. He was a light sleeper, always staring at Imani when she already woke. He had kept his eyes closed thankfully as she rushed to the bathroom, knowing she didn’t have much time before her body betrayed her. She leaned over the toilet and felt everything that she had eaten at the restaurant the night before leaving her body and head straight into the toilet.
Imani heard Stavros get up and walk towards the bathroom. She was as quiet as possible when she threw up, but sound travelled easily through the wooden doors, Stavros getting a clear audio feedback of everything that happened in the bathroom. The sound of her throwing up was the last thing that Imani had wanted Stavros to hear the morning after they had made love. She pictured getting up and laying in his arms as the sun shone over both of them. The sun had barely been up, so Imani wondered if there was a chance he hadn’t heard, she could get back in bed and not worry about anything that just happened.
“Imani?” Stavros asked as he knocked on the door.
“Just a minute,” she said, frantically looking for some tooth paste. She wasn’t quick enough, but it was useless anyways as her body betrayed her yet again, sending her head straight for the toilet. Imani was feeling her body turn inside out, but she couldn’t help but think about how it was the nicest toilet she’d ever puked into.
“What’s going on?” he asked as he jiggled the door.
“Just a second! I’m fine!” Imani told him. He probably assumed she was some young girl that didn’t know how to hold her liquor, puking up wine in the toilet. That was actually the opposite of what was happening, as Imani had barely finished a glass with dinner, and she certainly didn’t see herself as that young anymore, though the flattery didn’t hurt her too bad.
She finally managed to lift herself up off the cold tile floor, assuming that she had finally managed to get everything out of her body.
“Are you OK?” Stavros asked as he slipped on some pajama pants.
“I don’t know,” she responded as she walked through the bathroom door. She had still managed to get a glimpse of Stavros below the belt before he covered himself up. “Do you feel sick at all?”
“Not a bit. I was still thinking of taking a day off though. I thought about what you were saying with Darius last night,” he started.
“Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make you feel too bad about it,” Imani told him, realizing that he took what she said to heart more than she first assumed. At first, she was worried about saying something, but now she was relieved to know that he had actually listened to her. at the same time, she felt a little worried again that she had crossed the line, causing him to take an entire day off work. He could probably use it, Imani assumed, and didn’t let herself feel guilty for too long.
Before either could say anything again, Petra barged through the door, Imani just managing to slip on a t-shirt and shorts.
“Stavros! Stavros! I’m sorry, but you hadn’t woken up yet! I didn’t want you to be late,” Petra yelled frantically.
“Petra, it’s fine, I’m not going to work,” he explained.
“Oh,” she said, looking defeated as she gave Imani a glare up and down. “I’m sorry to have interrupted.”
“It’s OK Petra, I’ll meet you downstairs,” he explained.
“I think I’m going to be sick again,” Imani said as she ran to the bathroom, throwing up for the third time that morning. It was mostly liquid, and she hoped it would be the last and final vomit of whatever was happening at the moment.
“What’s wrong with her?” Petra asked, walking towards the bathroom. The double doors leading into the master bedroom made it easy for everyone to get a glimpse inside of what was going on.
“Food poisoning maybe?” Stavros said confused, looking at Imani throw up into the toilet as well.
She flushed, grabbed a drink that Petra had handed to her, and walked to the sink to do another shot of mouth wash.
“You don’t look too sick. Actually, you look a little like you’re glowing,” Petra told her as they all made their way back into the bedroom.
“I didn’t take my makeup off last night,” Imani explained. Petra and Stavros shrugged.
“I’m making smoked salmon bagels for breakfast,” Petra started on. “Again, I’m so sorry, sir, about bursting in. You just hadn’t been late in months and, I didn’t…”
“Petra, it’s perfectly fine. I understand, and thank you for your concern,” Stavros explained. Petra still looked terrified, Imani wondering why Stavros was in such a great mood. They certainly had a good night, but didn’t he have many like that with different women of his choosing? If any other employee had done what Petra did, Stavros probably would have had a meltdown, maybe even leading to their termination. A similar event had landed Mateo temporarily unemployed.
“Smoked salmon?” Imani asked, feeling her stomach twist into a knot.
“Yeah, with some egg too, it’ll be delicious,” Petra said excitedly, not as scared looking now that she was talking about her food passion once again.
“Oh no, I’m not done,” Imani said, running back into the bathroom.
“Oh my!” Petra said as she put her hands over her mouth.
“What?” Stavros said urgently.
“It can’t be. But you two only just, last night? Did you two, could she be?” Petra said.
“What?” Imani said, already with a mouthful of mouthwash again.
“Are you pregnant?” Petra said, Stavros looking right at Imani. She felt herself getting sick again, not knowing if it was food poisoning, pregnancy, or just plain panic causing her to lose the contents of her stomach.
*****
Imani sat on the toilet, not liking that both Stavros and Petra knew what was going on the other side. Petra had immediately run out to get a pregnancy test, Stavros and Imani left to clean up from the night before and pace around while they waited. Imani threw away the boxes of leftovers, not wanting to even get a whiff of the food that she had spent all morning expelling form her body.
She didn’t even think that she could have been pregnant. It was the last thing on her mind. She hadn’t been keeping a very good record of her period, remembering every once in a while that it was late. She would usually just say that it was stress or travel related, but Imani knew this certainly wasn’t the case. Looking back to the first time that her and Stavros made love, it made sense that she was starting to feel a bit of morning sickness.
She had finished the test and set the strip on the tub while she waited. For Imani, this wasn’t the first time she ever took a pregnancy test. When she was with her last boyfriend, she eventually stopped taking birth control because it made her feel sick and gave her migraines. They were only together once without protection, but the paranoid Imani decided to take a pregnancy test just to be sure. She was convinced she was pregnant then, but it was so clear she wasn’t, and the negative test at the time reminded her that she was certainly not with child.
This time around, she didn’t even think about being pregnant, and the idea that she might be growing a child inside of her body was the last thing on her mind. She was struggling to try and help out as Darius’s caretaker. Though she was educated in childhood education, that was only one part of everything a kid needed to grow into a functioning adult. Was Imani capable of that? She reminded herself that she didn’t’ have to think of that until she knew the results of the test, though the stripes were coming in pretty clear, reminding Imani that time went by much faster when you’re panicking.
She looked at the positive pregnancy test, not knowing how to react. Part of her was still just plain confused, trying to figure out when it exactly happened. How did she not realize? The other part of her was happy, as she had always wanted to have a baby. the other part of her started to panic, this situation feeling a bit strange. How was Stavros going to react? Was he going to want her to have an abortion right away?
Part of her thought about how she could like and tell them it was
negative, sneaking away to get an abortion. She knew that Stavros didn’t like children, so she assumed that this is what he’d want to do. He didn’t want to have Darius and only went through with the pregnancy because his wife was the one who wanted to have a child. How could Imani bring a child into the world knowing that half the person who helped create it likely doesn’t want to have much of a role in its life at all?
Stavros was barely around when it came to Darius’s life, so how would he manage bonding with a newborn? Imani didn’t want to ask him to give up his career if he didn’t want to, but she also didn’t want to be a single mother. They had spent an amazing night together, and a baby might ruin their relationship. That certainly wasn’t a reason for Imani to terminate her pregnancy, but the thought just crossed through her mind as she looked around the room panicking.
There were certainly plenty of people that wanted to have a happy and healthy baby as well, and she knew that with a blend of her warm skin and his blonde spotted hair, they would make a stunning child. if she couldn’t raise it, someone certainly could, so Imani had to remember her options. Being pregnant didn’t mean that she had to become a mother and Stavros didn’t have to become a father, so she didn’t need to start panicking about that part right away.
That wasn’t what she wanted to do at all, however. Part of her could already feel the life sitting inside her body, resting gently and growing rapidly. She placed her hand over her stomach, wondering if she could find a heartbeat if she went to the doctor. Her baby could have been the size of a penny or the size of a pea and Imani wouldn’t have known the difference. She didn’t have an exact visual representation in her brain of the stages of a child, even though she did study them in school. She didn’t know as much when it came to pregnancy, wondering if certain symptoms she had lately were all obvious of the life inside her body. She didn’t want to end that or give that little person to another family.
She knew that the little lump in her tummy was her baby, and she was their mom. She didn’t know anything about the tiny person in her stomach, but she realized looking down at the positive result, that she loved them more than anyone else on the planet. She looked at the bathroom door, wondering what the two were doing on the other side.
