As Tyler lifted the door he gasped at what he saw. Nearly four dozen boxed laptops sat on the seat, barely covered by a thin brown sheet. Five days ago this truck would've been the find of the century, either now finding it on the street or by the cops once they realized what was inside. Tyler was sure each one of the computers was stolen. Likely taken during the chaos of the first day. But now, without a way to charge them, they were nothing more than overpriced pieces of plastic in worthless cardboard boxes.

"Holy cow!" Dan said, nearly dropping the chips when he noticed what was inside. He handed the bag to Tyler, who promptly shoved another handful in his mouth when the other man rushed the SUV.

Dan grabbed as many of the computers as he could hold in his hand and urged Tyler to do the same.

"You realize, those take power right?" Marcy said, walking to the Escalade holding two bags full of bottled water.

"Still man, they're worth a fortune."

Tyler stepped away from the trunk, grabbed a bottle of water from the bag, and took a drink. The cold water felt good going down his throat, but he stopped after a few gulps, wanting to save some for later. Unless they came across a place that still had running water, good drinking water would be hard to find. Filtering and boiling lakes and streams was always an option, but one that took far too much time to be useful on a long trip. Instead, he decided he needed to take it easy, only sipping when truly in need. At least until they found another source of water.

Marcy broke into laugher when Dan walked up holding nearly twenty of the computers. Tyler still wasn't fond of the man, but at least he had a use, if they needed a pack mule.

Tyler shook his head and started back down the street, the others following close behind. They made it a block when Tyler spotted something sitting in the middle of the street down the side street to his left. Something he thought he'd never see again.

"I think I found my truck."
