She looked back at the emerald ring in the box. An unconventional choice, too. She didn’t think it was possible but her heart swelled even more in her chest.
“Is that really what you want, Wes?”
She needed to see the confirmation on his face.
“Ellie, if I wasn’t damn certain, I wouldn’t have let another woman tie me naked here for you.”
She laughed, doubts vanishing. She liked being called by her given name, especially by him. A step to a new start.
Putting the box aside, Mac pulled her gloves away and slid the emerald on her ring finger. “Well, I think there is only one last thing to do.”
“And what is it?” At that moment, she realized he was strung tight, waiting for her answer. Fortunately for him, she wouldn’t torture him any longer.
Mac came to Wes and put her hand on his heart, eyes locking. “Hang in tight, husband, this is the start of a wild ride.”
