Acknowledgments
Writing is far from being a solitary process, or at least it shouldn’t be solitary. As Ernest Hemingway said, “We are all apprentices in a craft where no one ever becomes a master.” This is absolutely true. I’m still learning so much in this trade and there are so many people to thank. Thanks so much to the wonderful writers in my critique groups, one of the most recent being Lisa McDonald. She pushed me to fix the start of this book. Thanks to her I finally found a good way to introduce readers to this new world. Her motivation and continual striving to learn as much as possible inspired me to do likewise.
Many thanks to my preliminary readers and thanks to my fellow writers in my marketing group. Writing books is one thing but selling them is another matter entirely. I would be lost without all of their guidance. Writers tend to be a generous lot — always willing to help a fellow writer; for this I’m eternally grateful and indebted!
I’m very blessed to have my amazing editor, Marcia. I pray she never retires! Of course, I can’t forget the unwavering support of my friends and family. I love you all very much!
