She whispers my name as I touch her through her silky panties. I grin, feeling the warmth and wetness that’s growing rapidly. Pushing her panties to the side, I slip two fingers into her molten core and pump them in and out. Felicity groans and grinds herself against me, taking my fingers deeper into her.
Our kiss grows harder and more intense as I work my fingers in and out of her. Felicity is rocking her hips, grinding herself down on my hand harder, her cries growing louder. She grabs my stiff cock through my jeans, squeezing and stroking it through my pants. I bite her shoulder and groan, plunging my fingers into her harder and faster, my lust and desire for this woman completely off the charts.
Felicity’s body tenses and she throws her head back, crying out as her orgasm crashes down over her. Her entire body shudders and she digs her nails into my chest as she squirms. Her breathing is ragged but her shaking slowly subsides.
As Felicity’s orgasm loosens its grip on her, she looks into my eyes, her cheeks flushed and a shaky smile on her face.
“Jesus, Knox,” she gasps.
I withdraw my fingers and slip them into my mouth, making her watch me taste her. Felicity chews on her bottom lip, absolute lust flaring in her eyes.
“Please tell me nobody ever comes into this cove,” she suddenly stammers.
“It’s usually empty.”
“Usually?”
I shrug and grin. “Live a little.”
Felicity looks around nervously, as if she’s expecting a cruise ship to slip into the cove alongside us.
“We can take this back to the cabin if you’d prefer,” I tell her.
She looks at me again, a mischievous glint in her eye. She grabs her bag and pulls a condom out of it, dropping the bag to the floor. I arch my eyebrow at her and smile.
“I stole this from your bathroom,” she explains.
“You naughty little thing, you.”
“I’m living a little.” She flashes me a grin. “Now stand up.”
“Yes ma’am.”
I get to my feet and Felicity immediately goes to work on my belt, while I pull off my shirt, getting it unbuckled and my pants undone in no time flat. She yanks my jeans and boxers down in one tug, leaving her at eye level with my stiff rod. She looks up at me, her jade green eyes sparkling, a salacious smile on her lips. Felicity reaches out and grabs hold of my shaft, running the tip of her tongue around the head.
I lean my head back and groan as she swallows my entire length, moving her hands and mouth up and down my shaft in a steady rhythm. Felicity squeezes the base of my cock tight, stroking and sucking like she has something to prove.
“Christ, Felicity,” I mutter.
She grips me tighter, working me harder and faster, the feel of her warm, moist mouth on my staff driving me absolutely crazy. I grip her hair, pulling it back as I start to thrust my hips, sliding myself into her mouth in a hard, fast rhythm.
The pressure in me is rapidly building. I don’t know how much longer I’m going to last if we keep this up. And I’m not ready for this to be over just yet. Not until I’ve had her.
I step back, bumping into the wall behind me and chuckle, a thin sheen of sweat on my brow. Felicity looks up at me with that glimmer in her eyes as she runs the tip of her tongue around her lips suggestively.
“Not to toot my own horn, but damn, I’m good,” she smirks.
“Toot away, lady.”
Her laughter is low and sultry as she tears open the condom wrapper. She quickly unrolls it down the length of my cock and looks up at me expectantly. I grin and pull Felicity to her feet. I maneuver around her and sit down. I help her remover her panties and push her skirt up as I pull her onto my lap. As I pull her down into a kiss filled with fire and passion, she reaches for my thick cock, gripping it tight. Felicity raises herself and guides me to her warm, wet opening, slipping the head of my dick between her velvety folds.
She presses her forehead to mine, our eyes locked together as she lowers herself down onto me, slowly sliding down inch by inch until my rod is nestled deep inside of her. Biting her bottom lip, she winces for a moment. That expression is replaced quickly by a look of sheer ecstasy a moment later as she seats herself fully on top of me, giving us both a moment to adjust to the sensation.
I slip my hands beneath her skirt and cup her ass, giving it a firm squeeze. Felicity slowly starts to rock her hips, moving herself back and forth on me. I grip her ass tighter and give it a firm smack as she kisses me, encouraging her to speed up. She obliges me and starts thrusting herself harder, taking me into her depths.
“Yes, baby,” I groan. “Harder, Felicity. Fuck me, baby.”
She sits up straight, digging her nails into my shoulders as she starts to rock her hips harder, impaling herself on my rigid cock. Felicity throws her head back and cries out. I move my hips in rhythm with her, thrusting upward as she drives herself down, the sharp crack of our flesh slapping together blending with her groans of pleasure, echoing around the cove loud and clear.
She grips my shoulders harder, her nails digging into my flesh even more, and I suck in a sharp breath. Felicity is pounding herself against me, our movements sending rippling waves across the glassy surface of the water beneath the boat.
“Knox, oh God, Knox,” she calls out, her breathing ragged.
I feel Felicity’s body stiffen as she drives herself down on me one last time. She leans forward and bites my shoulder, coming hard. Her voice is muffled as she cries out, and her entire body quivers on top of me. The muscles inside of her pulse and squeeze my shaft, making her even tighter around me. I roll my head back and grip her ass more fully, my fingers pressing hard into her flesh. The sensations are overwhelming, and before I know it – before I’m ready – I erupt. My cock throbs as I blow my load into the condom, moaning out loud.
We cling to each other, the sun warming our bodies, and the silence surrounding us nearly perfect. Both of our bodies humming with a powerful wave of passion. I for one, feel completely blissed-out. Felicity sits up and presses her forehead to mine again and stares deeply into my eyes.
“That was amazing, Knox.”
I nod. “Yes, it was,” I say and then crack a smile. “You’re welcome.”
She laughs and slaps me in the chest. “Pretty sure you should be thanking me, actually.”
The deep rumble of a boat engine echoes through the cove, making us both look to the entrance of our little hideaway. The boat is still out on the lake but it’s approaching quickly. We look at each other and laugh.
“Oh God,” she whispers, a note of panic in her voice.
“Believe it or not, we’re probably not the first people to have a nooner in Moonlight Cove,” I tease.
Felicity punches me in the shoulder and jumps off my lap. As the rumble of the boat draws closer, she quickly pulls up the straps of her dress, smoothing out her skirt, and does her best to make it look as if she hasn’t just gotten laid. I strip the condom off and toss it into the trash can, then pull up my pants and zip myself up. I pull on my shirt, and we sit back down and do our best look casual as the other boat rumbles into the cove.
I look over at the twenty-foot boat with dual outboards. A burly, bare-chested man with a salt-and-pepper-colored walrus mustache in a pair of aviator shades and a captain’s hat tilted at a jaunty angle gives us a wave. A bleach blonde woman with enormous fake breasts barely being contained by a bikini that looks a couple of sizes too small for her joins in the waving, giggling the whole time.
It’s all I can do to keep from bursting into laughter. “Did somebody say mid-life crisis?” I whisper.
Felicity gives me an elbow in the ribs and returns their wave, smiling politely as they pull alongside us. The man cuts the engine and tosses his anchor overboard.
“Thought we’d have the cove alone for – lunch,” the man in the captain’s hat calls, the innuendo obvious.
“We were just leaving,” I tell him. “We just finished – lunch.”
That earns
me another elbow in the ribs, and we all laugh. The man in the captain’s hat gives me a knowing nod. I stand and jump into the driver’s seat of my boat, the engines coming to life silently.
“You two enjoy lunch now,” I call, safely out of reach of Felicity’s elbows. “It’s a beautiful day out.”
“You said it, fella!”
I pilot us out of the cove quickly, not really wanting to see the pair of them belly up to the lunch buffet. Felicity is laughing by the time we get to open water and are headed back toward the cabin.
“I think I need to get one of those captain’s hats,” I tell her. “That guy was stylish as hell.”
“Do that and I’ll never be seen in public with you,” she quips.
“The benefit of being your bodyguard,” I fire back. “You have to be seen with me.”
She laughs and leans back on the seat, slipping on her sunglasses again. She lays down on the bench seat, lying face up and letting the sun shine down on her. As I look at Felicity, I can’t help but think about how amazing this woman is. I think about how she ticks every box on the mental checklist I never realized I had for somebody I was considering getting serious with.
And as those thoughts go through my head, they’re quickly followed by one more – the fact that I’m even having these thoughts about Felicity tells me how thoroughly fucked I am.
Felicity
I knew the dream had to end at some point. The time I spent with Knox up at his cabin was like some fantasy come to life. I can honestly say it was among the best few days I’ve had in my life. We were wrapped up in this cocoon, just him and me, and everything was, for lack of a better word, perfect.
Knox is unlike any man I’ve ever known. Yeah, he’s a sarcastic jerk sometimes – okay, most of the time – but there’s a side of him that nobody ever sees. He hides himself – the real Knox Vaughn – away from the world, and honestly, I find that kind of sad. But I saw that other side of him and found it utterly compelling.
He drew me to him like the proverbial moth to a flame – or given my track record in the romance department, like the moth to a high-powered bug zapper. But there’s just something about him that makes me want to take that risk and open myself up to him. It scares the hell out of me but – well – there it is. He makes me want to roll the dice again.
And I want to believe I see the same in him. He’s so careful and guarded about most everything. I know that. I understand that. But every now and then, I’d see something in his eyes, hear it in something he’d say, or some simple gesture he’d make that made be believe he wants to roll the dice again too. With me.
I think.
I can’t imagine the social pressures that come with being a single man who’s filthy rich. I imagine it makes a circus sideshow look like a Norman Rockwell painting by comparison. It doesn’t make it any less frustrating, though. I know how I feel. And I want to know how he feels.
“Felicity? Are you with me?” Maura snaps her fingers in front of me.
I’d called Maura from the apartment Knox is stashing me at once we got back to town. She insisted we meet for coffee this morning to talk about upcoming appearances and things. Which was her subtle way of telling me to get ready for a very thorough grilling. The only things missing are bright lights, rubber hoses, and thumbscrews.
I look around and see Knox’s guys sitting at a nearby table. Once we got back to town, we went back to my place and collected my things for an extended stay – somewhere other than my condo. With that freak still running around, he said he wasn’t about to take any chances, so he’s putting me up at a safehouse. Which is another bone of contention between Maura and I.
He’s had to have some of his guys rotate shifts watching me, and I see him in the evenings at the safe house. Given that he apparently runs so many businesses, he’s a busy guy and can’t be with me twenty-four seven anymore, which is disappointing.
I guess I got spoiled having him around all day up at the cabin. I understand though. The man’s resume reads like his bookshelves – a lot of different things. He apparently hasn’t been able to settle on one line of work. I was right. He hasn’t found his red dot.
I clear my throat and give my head a small shake. “Sorry. I guess I’m tired. Didn’t get a whole lot of sleep last night.”
She looks at me evenly and purses her lips. Maura hasn’t been overly pleased with me since I returned from my unexpected getaway. I’m sure she’d be even less pleased knowing that I slept with him. A few times – well, more than a few, at this point. And she’d probably be downright furious if she knew I don’t regret it for a moment – and am hoping for more from him. Not just sexually, either.
“You okay?” she wonders.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” I tell her. “Like I said, I just haven’t been sleeping real well lately. No big deal.”
She scoffs haughtily. “Well, I suppose I can understand not sleeping very well when you’ve been shacking up with that savage.”
I roll my eyes. “Knox is not a savage, Maura,” I respond. “He’s actually a lot different than you might think.”
“Why? Because he read your book?”
“Well, a couple weeks ago, you didn’t think he could read at all,” I quip. “So that’s one myth shattered, isn’t it?”
She lets out a pained sigh. “Fine, I’m surprised that he’s literate,” she replies. “At least he has good taste in literature.”
I laugh and shake my head. She’d been as surprised to hear that he’s reading my book as I was to see it sitting on his table. Not that it impresses her very much. Obviously.
“He’s actually got a very diverse library,” I mention. “Knox is actually pretty well-read.”
“I’m sure most of his books have big, shiny pictures and small words in them. Your book being the exception to the rule, of course.”
She’s been degrading him every chance she’s gotten since we sat down for coffee. While I certainly partook of the mockery before, now that I’ve gotten to know him some, I feel almost compelled to defend him.
“Why do you hate him so much?” I ask her.
Maura looks at me for a long moment. “What’s really going on here, Felicity?”
“What are you talking about? There’s nothing –”
“Wait. Just hold on,” she gasps. “You don’t – you don’t have like romantic feelings for him, do you?”
“What?”
“What happened up at that cabin, Felicity?” she presses me.
“Nothing happened.”
I sit back in my seat and take a drink of my coffee, doing my best to keep my cool and my expression neutral. Maura is like a shark – she can smell a drop of blood in the water from miles away. If she gets even the slightest whiff of something – like the fact that I slept with Knox – she will latch onto it and won’t let go. At least, not until she’s beaten me into submission and gotten her way.
Which is why I can’t let her know what happened with Knox, or how I feel about him. If she knows, she’ll be like a pit bull with a bloody bone. Sometimes, she takes that whole ‘mother figure’ thing a little too seriously.
“Something happened, Felicity,” she says. “I can see it in your eyes.”
“No, you can’t. You’re fishing. Hoping I’ll slip up and say something you can use against me,” I laugh. “I’m onto your tricks, lady.”
She stares at me for a long moment, her face frozen in an expression of stern judgment. She smiles a moment later, but I still see the underlying tension in her eyes. I can tell she doesn’t quite believe me but doesn’t have enough to make a formal indictment of my character or taste in men.
“All I’m going to say is that he’s terrible for you in every single way,” Maura informs me.
“There’s nothing going on that you need to worry about.”
Maura sips her coffee, staring at me over the rim. She sets her cup down and dabs at her mouth with a napkin, her eyes never leaving mine.
“So, by nothing going
on I need to worry about,” she observes. “What you’re saying is that there’s something going on – I just don’t need to worry about it.”
I laugh. “Oh my God, you’re reading way too much into things,” I exclaim. “Can we move on to another subject? Maybe something you do need to worry about?”
“Okay, okay. I’m only looking out for you,” she goes on.
“And I appreciate that.”
“And I’m just saying he’s probably screwing half of Seattle –”
“Maura,” I snap. “Can we give it a rest?”
I didn’t mean to sound so harsh, but she pushed me over the edge. While I appreciate everything she does for me, and I have nothing but love and respect for her, she has to learn she can’t control every single facet of my life.
“Fine,” she says, her voice cold.
“I’m sorry,” I tell her, feeling guilty.
“It’s fine. Anyway, moving on to something else,” she mutters stiffly. “We need to talk about your upcoming schedule.”
I sigh and tear strips off the napkin on the table in front of me. Maura’s not pleased. I want to do something to make it better. Or at least ease the sudden tension between us. But I don’t know what to do. She’s pissed about Knox – and I get it, she’s looking out for me – but this is one of those life choices I need to make on my own.
I have no idea where this thing between Knox and I is going. For all I know, it may not go anywhere. We may have nothing more than the time we shared up at his cabin. But I know I want to at least explore the possibility that we could have more. I don’t want to close the door on anything until I’ve given myself the chance to step through it and see what’s on the other side.
I wish I could make her understand how Knox makes me feel. I wish I could make her understand that, for maybe the first time in my life, I feel ecstatic. That he’s made me feel comfortable in my own skin. I wish I could express all of this and more to Maura in a way that she’ll not only understand but accept.
