“I am,” Alexandra said, putting the box on the table. “What are you serving?”
“Lobster bisque and a Caesar salad.”
“Ooh, fancy. I guess those lessons must have been good.”
“They were,” Rachel said with a chuckle. “I learned so much. Thank you.”
“I think I might be the one to benefit from my gift.”
“You were on my mind the whole time I was in class.” Her lips came back to Alexandra’s mouth.
Rachel began to pull away when Alexandra reached for her and pulled her close again. They stared into each other’s eyes before their mouths began to explore again.
“Let me feed you first,” Rachel said, stepping away from Alexandra. “If we keep that up, we will never sit down and eat.”
Alexandra smiled. “And that’s a bad thing.”
“Ooh, woman, you’re bad.” Her grin was wide and the heat she felt between her legs was a welcomed throb.
“Bad?” Alexandra asked with a giggle. “I hope I’m good.”
Rachel nuzzled her mouth against Alexandra’s ear. “So good, honey.” She now took Alexandra by the hand and led her to a chair at the table. As Alexandra sat down, Rachel leaned over and whispered, “Later.” She kissed the top of Alexandra’s head.
The soup was delicious and filled with large pieces of lobster. “You can cook for me anytime,” Alexandra said, finishing off the soup.
“I’m glad you enjoyed it,” Rachel said sitting back in her chair. “What shall we do now?”
They carried the bowls and plates to the dishwasher. Alexandra took Rachel’s hand and led her to the living room.
“I’ve got movies too, if…” Rachel’s words were cut off as Alexandra’s mouth met hers.
They kissed over and over. No words were needed as their emotions were shown in this simple act. Alexandra was so aroused she pushed Rachel back on the couch and covered her body with her own. The desire in her eyes was matched by the ones staring back at her. Rachel’s legs opened allowing Alexandra to fit in the between her legs. Rachel’s hands moved under Alexandra’s light weight sweater and her hands moved along the soft skin.
“You feel so good,” Rachel said breathlessly. “So soft,” she moaned as her lips found Alexandra’s mouth again.
Alexandra moved her hands to Rachel’s bottom and pulled their bodies closer together.
“You are going to make me come if you keep doing that,” Rachel moaned against Alexandra’s ear.
“Is that bad?” Alexandra asked, feeling the same way.
Rachel’s answer was to take Alexandra’s mouth again and their bodies melted into each other until they both came.
“Hey,” Rachel said wearing a wide grin.
“Hey,” Alexandra responded wearing a silly grin that was mirrored in Rachel’s face. “I didn’t mean for our first time to be with our clothes on, but I couldn’t help myself,” she said, burying her face in Rachel’s neck.
“You won’t hear any complaints from me,” Rachel said, squeezing her tight. “Will you stay with me tonight?”
“I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.” Alexandra’s finger’s floated across Rachel’s chest. “Would you mind if I took a shower?”
Rachel grinned. “Can I scrub your back?”
Alexandra popped off the couch and held out her hand to Rachel. Rachel took the hand in her own and led them to the bedroom. Her hands went to the hem on Alexandra’s sweater. She eased it up over her head as her eyes gazed across her chest and the light blue satin bra. Rachel’s lips settled in between the full breasts as her hand reached around and unhooked the bra. Letting it fall slowly, her hands caressed softly. “So beautiful,” she said as Alexandra’s hands reached for the zipper of the jeans. Rachel pushed her hands away and pulled the zipper down on Alexandra’s jeans. She knelt as her hands guided the jeans and satin underwear down. “Beautiful,” she whispered as her lips lightly drifted over Alexandra’s stomach. The dark hair below her belly was trimmed neatly in a small mound. Her fingers moved gently over her.
“You have too many clothes on,” Alexandra said, moving her hands through Rachel’s short hair.
Rachel made quick work of removing her clothes. Their bodies came together and a moan left both their mouths. The shower forgotten, Rachel guided them to the large bed. She flipped the covers back and laid Alexandra back on the bed before joining her. Alexandra took in the beauty of her body before it rested over her. Kisses began tenderly, but quickly escalated to want and desire. Rachel’s mouth settled on an erect nipple teasing and sucking. “You’re beautiful, Alexandra.”

They never did get to that shower. As they laid on each other’s body spent and satisfied, Alexandra spoke. “I have to call Tracy and tell her I won’t be home tonight.” Rachel handed Alexandra her cellphone. “Hi, Tracy. I hate to bother you while you’re working.”
“No problem. I got a job today.”
Alexandra moved out of Rachel’s arms as she sat up. “Where?”
“I went for a sandwich at the corner deli and they hired me. I start tomorrow.”
“That’s great, Tracy. Uh, I just wanted to tell you that I won’t be home tonight.”
“Thought so,” she said with a giggle. “I may not be here when you get home tomorrow.”
“Good luck with your new job.”
“Have fun, Alex,” she said before hanging up.
Alexandra handed the phone back to Rachel. “She got a job?”
“Yeah, at the deli by my apartment. How about we try for that shower now?”
Alexandra began to fondle Rachel as her body moved lower with kisses. As she reached her core, her mouth took over. It teased and moved over her aroused clit causing Rachel’s hips to jump.
“You’re killing me, Babe,” Rachel said through shallow breaths.
Alexandra’s mouth stopped. “Good killing or bad killing?” she asked from under the covers.
“What?” Rachel asked, feeling the loss of Alexandra’s mouth.
Alexandra flipped the covers back. “Is it good or bad?”
“So good, Alex, but if you don’t get back down there…” she moaned.
Alexandra laughed and went back to what she was doing before her rude interruption. Just before Rachel climaxed, she inserted two fingers. Rachel screamed Alexandra’s name in the process. Feeling satisfied with herself, Alexandra crawled back up and rested her head on Rachel’s chest.
“What’s bothering you, Alex?” Rachel asked once her breathing slowed.
“Nothing.” Alexandra answered absently.
“Were you worried that I wasn’t enjoying myself?”
Alexandra nodded. “I haven’t been with a lot of women and I didn’t want to disappoint you.”
Rachel sat up. “Alex, look at me.” Their eyes met. “I have had good sex before, but this is so much more.” Rachel sighed and touched Alexandra’s cheek. “I hope it’s been that way for you too?”
“I never had good sex until you, Rachel,” Alexandra said, suddenly feeling shy.

In the morning, Rachel came into the bathroom and handed Alexandra a pair of underwear. “I don’t think yours are in any condition to wear again,” she said with a giggle. “I’ll wash them and return them to you.” Her lips touched softly against Alexandra’s as she watched the blush form on her face. “You’re so cute when you blush.”
After they dressed and had breakfast, Rachel asked. “Would you like to come with me while I drop off Tracy’s manuscript?”
“Sure.”
The two women drove to Melissa Stanton’s house to drop off the manuscript.
“Nice area,” Alexandra commented as they drove through the expensive neighborhood. “How do you know Melissa?”
“She’s my parent’s next door neighbor.”
“Oh,” Alexandra said, wondering if had been a wise choice coming with Rachel.
Rachel pulled into a large driveway and stopped at the gate. She pushed the b
utton and waited for someone to respond.
“Hey, Doc.” The voice called through the small box.
“Hi, Missy.”
“Come on up, Doc.”
Rachel waited until the gate opened and drove up to the front of the house. Melissa was waiting for them as they arrived at the front door. Rachel got out wearing a bright smile. “Hey, girl. You’re looking good,” Rachel said hugging Melissa.
“You too.” Melissa leaned down looking into the car. “Who is this beautiful woman?”
Rachel motioned for Alexandra to get out of the car. “Hi,” Alexandra said smiling.
“Melissa Stanton this is my girlfriend Alexandra Angelo.”
“It’s very nice to meet you Melissa.” Her hand extended to the older woman.
“You as well,” Melissa said as she took Rachel’s arm. “She always did get the pretty ones. Come into the house and we’ll go out on the patio and discuss why you are here.”
They both followed Melissa into the house. Alexandra was struck by the massiveness of the modern home. They walked straight to the back of the house and onto the covered patio. Large comfortable wicker sofas and chairs were surrounding a beautiful stone fireplace.
“Your home is beautiful, Melissa,” Alexandra said, trying to keep her tongue from hanging out.
“If you think this is nice, you should see the doc’s family home,” she said with a wink.
They took their seat on the couch and Melissa offered them a drink from the pitcher on the table. Not wanting to be rude, Alexandra accepted the glass not knowing what she was having.
Rachel handed the envelope to Melissa. “This was written by Alexandra’s cousin Tracy.”
Melissa took the envelope from Rachel raising her eyebrows. “I see.”
Alexandra chuckled. “It’s not what you’re thinking.”
Alexandra and Rachel chuckled too. “Alexandra’s cousin came to California recently to try and get into the industry. I read the manuscript and offered to give it to you to look at. Neither one of us is expecting any special treatment. As a matter of fact, Tracy doesn’t even know we’re here or that I offered to pass this along to someone.”
“Okay,” Melissa said still sounding suspicious. “Suppose I think it’s crap?”
“Then you give her a call and tell her. Or you can tell us and we’ll tell her. It doesn’t make any sense for her to be wasting her time if there’s no talent.” Alexandra insisted.
“I like her,” Melissa said to Rachel smiling.
“I like her too,” Rachel said taking Alexandra’s hand.
Alexandra took a sip from her glass and realized that there was alcohol in her glass. She returned the glass to the table. “Your yard is beautiful, Melissa.” Alexandra got up and went toward the pool.
Rachel and Melissa followed. “I wish I could say it got some use these days, but I’m too busy,” she said with a laugh.
“Melissa used to throw the best parties here in the summer,” Rachel said, taking Alexandra’s hand. “You wouldn’t believe the stars that I have met.”
“Rachel? Is that you?”
Rachel’s shoulders dropped when the voice called through the hedges.
“Yes, Mother, it’s me.”
“You go visit Melissa, but not your mother.”
Rachel could almost picture her mother standing there with her hands on her hips. “I was coming over to your house next,” she said with an understanding glance at Alexandra.
Melissa leaned over. “Have you met the mother yet?”
“No, and I never would have agreed to come today if I knew they were your next door neighbors.” Alexandra admitted.
“You look beautiful, honey. They are going to love you.” Melissa assured her.
Rachel walked back to them. “I’m sorry,” she said softly. “But we have to stop in there.”
“Well, I will let you go see them. Alexandra, I don’t know when I’ll get to reading this, but I will read it.” She looked in envelope. “Okay, you left Tracy’s contact information.”
“It was so nice to meet you, Melissa,” Alexandra said, dreading going next door.
“You too, Alexandra.” Melissa put her arm through Alexandra’s. “Take care of my friend here.”
“I will.”
“Missy, thanks for doing this.”
“Anything for a friend. Good to see you again, doc. I’ll invite you two the next time I throw a party.”
“Thanks.”
Back in the car, Rachel took Alexandra’s hand. “It will be fine, Alex. Trust me.”
“Rachel, I’m in jeans and a sweater. What is your mother going to think?”
“That you are perfect for me. Look at me, we’re dressed the same way.”
Rachel pulled into the Benson residence and got out of the car. Rachel took possession of Alexandra’s hand as they walked to the front door. A beautiful blond opened the front door as they approached. She was dressed in a casual pair of slacks and a beautiful blouse. Her painted nails matched the painted toenails seen through her sandals. She opened her arms to Rachel.
“Darling, I’m so happy to see you,” Roberta Benson looked over her shoulder at Alexandra. Her eyes scanned the woman standing there.
Alexandra tried to keep a friendly smile on her face as the woman scrutinized her. “Hello, Mrs. Benson. I’m Alexandra Angelo.”
Rachel took Alexandra’s hand. “Mom, Alex is my girlfriend.”
“How nice,” she said, but her eyes couldn’t disguise her displeasure. “Are you a doctor too?”
“No, ma’am.”
“Mom, can we continue this conversation inside?” Rachel asked, rolling her eyes.
“Of course, darling. Let’s go to the patio.” She led them outside.
This time Alexandra didn’t stop to admire the interior of the house.
“How about a cocktail, girls?” Roberta asked.
“Nothing for me, thank you,” Alexandra said quickly.
“Nor me, Mom.”
“So where have you been hiding this lovely woman?” Roberta asked her daughter.
“I was trying not to scare off Alex.”
“Rachel.” Roberta scolded. “I’m not a tyrant.” She pointed her finger. “I’ve been friendly to all your girlfriends. How long have the two of you being seeing each other?”
“Not long,” Rachel answered before Alexandra could.
“So what is it that you do, dear?” Roberta asked turning to Alexandra.
“Alex works for a doctor’s office,” Rachel said.
“Then she does speak.” Roberta turned to Alexandra. “You’re a nurse?”
“No, Mrs. Benson. I take care of billing and scheduling.”
“Oh,” Roberta said softly. Then her eyes opened wide. “You work for Rachel, don’t you?”
“Yes, Alex works for me, Mother.”
Roberta turned in her chair. “Rachel, you are her employer. You shouldn’t be dating the help.” She turned back to Alexandra. “No insult intended.”
“Of course not.” Alexandra answered, cringing.
“Darling, come with me and I’ll get us something to drink.” Roberta stood up and commanded Rachel to follow.
“I’m sorry,” she whispered to Alexandra before going inside.
“Are you out of your mind?” Roberta asked as Rachel stepped inside. “She could end of suing you for sexual harassment.”
“Don’t be so dramatic. I’m crazy about her, Mother.”
Roberta looked at her face. “You’re in love with her? Aren’t you?”
“Who is in love?” Rachel’s father said, entering the room.
“Your daughter is in love with the help,” Roberta said as her face showed disgust.
“Sweetheart, didn’t we tell you from the beginning to stay away from anyone that works for you?” Steven Benson asked.
“I tried, but I couldn’t help myself.” Rachel sat in a chair.
“You’re only looking for trouble,” Steven said.
“Why can’t you two just be happy for me? I care very much for her and yes, I probably am in love with her,” Rachel sighed deeply. “It’s my life.” She stood up. “I think we should go.”
“No, you are not. You both are staying for lunch,” Roberta said, before she went back outside.
Rachel was rolling her eyes when she came into the back yard. “We’ve been summoned to have lunch.” She leaned toward Alexandra. “I’m sorry about all this. I had no idea I’d get caught being at Melissa’s house.”
What could Alexandra say, take me home? She wanted to say that, but she knew her first impression with Rachel’s parents was not going well and that would only make it worse. “Your mom doesn’t think I’m good enough for you,” Alexandra said softly.
“You are better than both of them, Alex. Please don’t think for one minute that they are better than you.”
Steven came through the back door. “Alexandra, I’m Steven.” His hand came out. “I’m Rachel’s father.”
Alexandra stood up and took his hand. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Benson.”
“Please call me Steve or Steven.”
“Thank you.”
He motioned for Alexandra to sit again and took a seat next to her. “So I understand you work for my daughter?”
“Yes, sir.”
“Do you like your job?” Steven asked, ignoring the looks Rachel was giving him.
“I love my job. It’s very rewarding.”
“Where are you from originally?”
“New Jersey.” Alexandra continued to be polite and answer his questions.
“Does your family still live there?”
“Yes. My parents and my sister.”
“What brought you to California?”
“School.”
“UCLA?” Steven asked.
“No. Cal Tech.”
“Impressive.” He studied Alexandra for a moment. “I assume you graduated from Cal Tech?” Alexandra nodded. “So what are you doing working for my daughter and not at a tech company?”
“Mr. Benson. I enjoy what I’m doing. I worked for another doctor for ten years saving money to go back to get my masters, but I enjoyed what I was doing.”
“Alex is a whiz with our computer system at the office, Dad. I’ll never need to call a tech out for a problem again.”
