  * * *

  In Just Jenny, Jenny Nance has a plan—save enough money to tour the world. The desire to traipse the globe is a dream she once shared with her twin sister. Jenny made a deathbed promise to her sister that she would go to all the places they had fantasized about visiting together. Nothing will entice her to break her vow to Natalie, not even the sexy new Blue Ridge Valley police chief . . . No matter how attracted she is to him.

  * * *

  Dylan Conrad left the Chicago Police Department to accept the position as chief of police in Blue Ridge Valley. Burned out and haunted by a tragedy of his own, he needs to get away from the memories tormenting him. He’s hoping to find peace in the small mountain town, but the quirky residents, an infamous moonshiner, an errant prized bull, and a feisty redhead by the name of Jenny weren’t quite what he had in mind.

  Acknowledgments

  From the time my first book was published in 2013, I’ve been on an amazing journey. One of my biggest blessings is the friends I’ve made around the world. I wish I could name you all, but I’d feel terrible if I missed one of you. But you know who you are, and I’m sending my love to you across the miles.

  To all the readers, bloggers, and book reviewers, you guys rock. Thank you for reading my books, for the e-mails telling me how much you love a hero or heroine, a book, or the series, and most of all, thank you for leaving a review. You have my heartfelt gratitude.

  This acknowledgment wouldn’t be complete without telling you how awesome my reader group, Sandra’s Book Salon, is! I think I have the most fun reader group in existence. Thank you for your support and the laughs. I love you all. I’m not going to thank you for your impatience on waiting for my next book, and I’ll never admit how much I love that you want it in your greedy hands like RIGHT NOW!

  The publishing world changes every day, so much so it’s sometimes hard to keep up with. On the business side, people come and go. One constant in this writing life is my critique partner, Jenny Holiday. We’ve been together since before either one of us was published, and our career paths have been remarkably similar. We’ve whined to each other, ranted together about things, critiqued everything we’ve each written, but best of all we’ve been blessed to be able to celebrate some awesome successes together. Thank you, Jenny, for being my friend and always having time for me.

  To my beta readers, you ladies are the best! Brandy, Clarissa, Doni, Heather, Jackie, and Jill, thank you for loving this author’s books. I’ve been lucky to get to personally meet three of you, and someday I hope to meet the rest of you.

  To Miranda Liasson and A.E. Jones, two fantastic authors, thank you for being a friend and for the fun e-mails, and for the sometimes early reads. I value your comments and suggestions.

  Ah, editors… those are the people an author has a love/hate relationship with. What? How can you say I should delete this or that scene? That’s my darling and you want me to kill it? But you know what, they are almost always right. To Melody Guy, my developmental editor, my stories wouldn’t be half as good without your (usually) gentle hand. This book makes our ninth one together, and I only hope that we have a long future together.

  To Ella Sheridan, my copy editor and proofreader, thank you for making me look smarter than I am. You just need to give up on making me grasp the proper uses of commas, though. You’ll be a lot happier for it. Seriously, though, thank you for being an awesome copy editor.

  Last and far from least, thank you, family. Jim, Jeff, and DeAnna, you are my world!
