For the Night - Complete Box Set Page 66

by C. J. Fallowfield

‘Seriously?’ he uttered, surprised. He sat up straight, his lips lifting into that knockout smile that ended in two sexy dimples. It was his most gorgeous look, one that had graced many a glossy magazine for January, touting him as the next big thing.

‘Sex is a very serious issue, Mr. Steel, I would never joke about it. Follow me in a few minutes,’ I whispered. ‘I’m going to the powder room. Certain areas are rather damp and need immediate attention.’

‘Message received and understood. Mission totally accepted, Miss Beresford,’ he purred as he kissed my cheek.

  Lucas

I watched her head to the exit with a proud smile on my face. Summer with no makeup and naked was hot and got my engine seriously revved, but all dressed up for an award ceremony? Damn! Her figure was killing it in that sexy fire engine red dress, with a plunging neckline and back and a long slit up her right leg. I’d taken advantage, caressing the inside of her thigh for the last ten minutes, knowing it would work her up. She’d accepted an offer for a new film here in LA, thank God. No more time apart, other than when we were both on set and that was bad enough. Now we were both here and had moved into our new house, for the first time since I was a child back home, I felt like I’d put down roots, like I really belonged. I couldn’t wait to start a family with her, the thought of her cooking in the kitchen, while a baby Steel sat playing in the lounge, made my heart warm. I’d already had some contractors in to look at remodelling the kitchen and bathrooms, to do some upgrades to the guest houses too and the security system. I had a wedding to pull off as quickly as possible too, no way was she staying Miss Beresford for any longer than necessary. More importantly, she was waiting for me in the ladies powder room. That was my current priority. I excused myself and strode out of the theatre, to spot her waiting outside the ladies’, she smiled and held up a finger, indicating for me to wait for a moment. I pulled out my phone and sent her a message.

Don’t make me wait, or I’ll be paying the coat attendants to vacate their room for us.

I can’t help it if the ladies’ room has someone in it. Patience is a virtue, you apparently know little about

  I want I take angel

Has anyone ever denied you anything?

Yes, you, making me wait fourteen damn months to sink my cock back inside you. You’d better be damn sure that you want me Summer. Because you’re stuck with me for life now, me and my rather demanding and testy cock

She looked up with a big smile, not as large as the one I shot back when I saw someone come out of the room. She headed inside and I waited for her to put her head out and beckon me over. I’d barely stepped through the door when she grabbed me and forced me back against it, locking it with one hand, as her other grasped my needy erection through my trousers and squeezed, her lips searching out mine.

‘Hungry for me?’ I groaned as our lips mashed together in a heated frenzy.

‘Desperate. That tuxedo on your body really does it for me,’ she moaned as her other hand joined the rush to extract me from my trousers. ‘Make it fast and don’t ruin the hair.’

‘I’ll ruin anything I want to, angel,’ I replied, as I quickly spun her, forcing her back against the wall, grasping her right leg and lifting it around my backside. ‘Because I own you now, all of this seriously fuckable package is mine.’

‘Like you’re mine,’ she replied, her hand reaching for me again, her warm fingers curling around my hot shaft as she guided me through the gap in her dress to her eager cunt. I felt like a damn teenager again, hidden somewhere illicit for a quick, hot, frenzied session. But hell, this was so much better than those encounters. I plunged my tongue into her mouth to muffle her scream of delight, as I forced my way up her tight channel, groaning myself to feel the way her muscles automatically rippled around my girth, trying to milk me dry. I sincerely doubted there was a couple in the world more compatible than we were. My hands found hers and slammed them up on the tiled wall above her head, my hips pumping furiously, lifting her up onto her tiptoes with each thrust, as I chased her climax as well as my own. Her fingers tightened around mine, her tongue sensuously stroking my own as we merged in a fiery blaze of passion and aching need for each other. We ignored someone trying to open the door, our climax the only thing on our minds. I’d love to have had time to strip her naked and have my lips explore every inch of her body, to make her release those little breathy moans as I licked her clit, while my fingers played with her nipples. I placated myself with the knowledge that I could do that later, back in our bed, if not the limo on the way home. Right now though, she needed me to give her an orgasm and fast, and that was one gift I’d never fail to provide. Lucas Steel came with a guarantee to deliver.

‘Lucas,’ she whimpered, her voice pleading with me, as her hips circled and bucked against mine.

‘I know, angel, I need it too, come for me now and I promise I’ll make it up to you later, long and slow, with as many as you want.’ I kissed her throat as her head dropped back on the tiles, exposing her sexy neck. She shivered as I circled my tongue and hips at the same time. ‘I have a limitless supply for you, you’ll never run out. Don’t make me ask again, come for me,’ I demanded, clenching my backside, trying to hold myself back until she peaked. Everything in her body tightened as she cried out, that noise as she climaxed was the most satisfying to ever caress my ears. I groaned as my cock flexed, satisfyingly emptying my thick heavy load inside her as she quaked. The door was rattled again, but I wasn’t rushing this, she needed a moment to calm down before I cleaned her up. Hell, I needed a moment to calm down. A quickie like that always got my blood pumping. ‘Summer Beresford, I do believe that I’m engaged to a very wanton and horny woman.’

‘Says Lucas Steel, man of horn. You’re a walking erection.’

‘It’s you, angel. You bewitch me,’ I sighed as I left a trail of kisses up the side of her neck. ‘There’s nothing about you that doesn’t arouse me and the thought that my sperm are heading to mate with your eggs right this moment, makes me want to fuck you again, just to make sure it happens.’

‘I can’t believe we’re trying for a baby,’ she smiled, love glistened in her eyes as she looked at me. ‘It better get all of your good looking genes.’

‘I’m telling you this kid is going to be a stunner with yours and mine combined. We’d better get back, can’t have you missing your award.’

‘Will you stop jinxing it,’ she laughed. ‘I’ve been nominated, I haven’t won.’

‘You will, this is the start of big things for you,’ I replied, as I carefully pulled out of her and she grabbed her dress, keeping it to one side as I dampened a hand towel and came back to clean us both up.

‘I think this time next year, we’ll be sitting waiting for your award.’

‘Then if you win tonight, we’ll have started a tradition. Lucky sex in the bathroom on the night. Every award ceremony we’ll have to do it,’ I winked.

‘O, what a drag,’ she winked in return. ‘Mission totally accepted Mr. Steel.’

  Epilogue

  Summer

I looked around as someone rattled the door again. Lucas laughed and tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear.

‘We’d better get back, they could be calling you up on stage any minute.’

‘I doubt it,’ I smiled, quickly smoothing my dress down and applying some lip gloss.

‘I think you have it in the bag. You look beautiful, angel. In fact I’d go so far as to say that I’ve never seen you look more radiant, you’re glowing.’

‘I don’t look any different,’ I replied, my cheeks heating up automatically.

‘You do. It’s all the sea air, it’s done you good after not feeling so well for the last few weeks.’

‘Or the fact we just had a very hot quickie,’ I reminded him.

‘There is that too,’ he chuckled. ‘Come on, we’d better get back.’ He took my hand in his, lacing our fingers together as he unlocked the cloakroom door. We were met with a
surprised look from the lady who’d been impatiently trying to get in. ‘Sorry, minor crisis with her dress that needed immediate attention. Can’t have her on stage looking anything other than her best,’ he advised her, with one of his megawatt smiles.

‘Of course not,’ she agreed, as I blushed even more. ‘Good luck, I’m routing for you to win, I thought you were incredible.’

‘Thanks,’ Lucas and I said in unison, making her laugh. We hurried back to our seats and I saw a number of heads turning to look at us, as the nominations for original screen play were announced. I was sure everyone knew exactly what we’d been doing. The tabloids were always commenting on our chemistry. I was also pretty sure that we weren’t the only couple to have sex in the bathrooms of an award ceremony in Hollywood. Lucas sat with his arm draped over the back of my chair, his fingers running circles on my bare arm as I rested my hand on his firm muscular thigh. I felt so sick and kept stealing glances at him, just looking at his handsome side profile calmed me, centred me and made me feel whole again. I swallowed hard as it came to my category, and he quickly grasped my face and kissed me.

‘Whatever happens I’m so proud of you, you’re an incredible actress,’ he uttered. I blushed again with a half-smile as we clasped hands tightly, only breaking away for a short period to politely clap as my competitors’ names were called. No way was I going to win, I was a baby compared to some of the giants I was up against. Inside I was still that fresh faced innocent girl who’d lived at home with her parents for years. Lucas squeezed my hand again as the presenter opened the envelope.

‘And the Oscar for actress in a leading role goes to … Summer Steel for Blinding Obsession.’

I blinked a few times not sure I’d heard right, had my name seriously just been called out? For an Oscar! Time seemed to move in small freeze frames as I saw faces all turning to smile at me, the noise of clapping and cheering filling the room. Lucas snapped me out of it as he kissed me forcefully.

‘I’m so proud of you, angel.’

‘What just happened?’ I whispered, not quite sure if I was still at home in bed dreaming.

‘You just won a damn Oscar, woman. Get your arse up on that stage before they change their minds.’ He stood up and offered me his arm and I slowly rose, the applause growing louder as he made his way to the foot of the stage with me. I’d just won an Oscar? It hardly seemed anytime since we’d moved to LA and I’d won my first Golden Globe three years ago and so much had happened since then, professional and personal. ‘Go get it, angel,’ Lucas whispered against my lips, leaving me to climb the stairs as he returned to his seat, beaming with pride.

I kissed the presenter and blushed again as a roar went up when I was handed the trophy. I hadn’t practiced a speech, I’d been so convinced I wouldn’t win, so with a shaking voice I tried to remember everyone I needed to thank and apologised for anyone I left out. I kept my eyes on my husband the whole time. We’d been married for over two years now, Lucas wasn’t a patient man when he wanted something. When he’d asked me to marry him and said it would be a short engagement, he hadn’t been kidding. Brian, who was still our agent, had insisted that I needed to retain the name Summer Beresford, naturally Lucas disagreed. As did I. I wanted to be Mrs. Steel, I was so proud to be his wife. I teared up as I spoke of him, of how none of my achievements would have been possible without his strength, support and belief in me, and they wouldn’t have been. I’d been a scared, young, naïve girl when I’d booked my virgin for the night fantasy with Logan Steele. He’d given me all of my confidence, he’d made me believe in myself, he’d taught me that with planning, dedication and a desire to achieve the impossible, nothing was impossible. I felt like I was floating on a cloud as I returned to his side and he embraced me tightly.

‘You deserved that, you’ve worked so hard.’

‘So have you,’ I reminded him as we took our seats. ‘How are you feeling?’

‘Nervous as hell, I can’t let my wife outdo me can I?’ he replied as his name was read out as one of the nominees for best actor. ‘Shit, Summer. I’ve never failed at anything. What if I lose? What if I really don’t have what it takes?’

‘You’ve won a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild award already this year, now you’ve been nominated for an Oscar, Lucas!’ I laughed. ‘That’s hardly failing.’

‘It is if I don’t win,’ he muttered, as he shoved a shaking hand through his hair. Seeing him nervous wasn’t something that happened very often. If he lost he was going to be devastated and I could only think of one thing that would ease the blow if the unthinkable happened. As I tried to make up my mind if it was a good idea, I knew I only had seconds to spare before they called out the winners name. I quickly leaned over, placing my hand on his large firm bicep, his muscular frame just amped up in a suave looking custom made designer tuxedo, and whispered in his ear. I giggled as his jaw dropped and he looked at me wide eyed, right as we heard “Logan Steele” being announced from the stage and the audience went wild. I leapt to my feet, clapping so hard with excitement I was at risk of bruising my palms. He just sat there stunned.

‘Ladies and Gentleman, I think this is a first in the history of the Oscars, for a husband and wife to take the leading role trophies, let alone for starring in the same film.’

‘Darling, you won, you need to go up on stage,’ I laughed. He gulped and nodded, slowly rising up out of his chair, his eyes full of unspoken emotion as he held my gaze, making my bottom lip quiver. ‘Don’t make me ugly cry in front of everyone, Lucas. Go. We can talk about it after,’ I advised as I dabbed my eyes. I clasped his face and planted a quick kiss on his lips. ‘I love you, Lucas Logan Steel, go and knock them dead.’ I gently pushed him to encourage him to head to the stage and whooped as he shook hands with the presenter and turned to face the noisy audience.

‘I don’t … I thought … damn it, I’m so, sorry,’ he uttered, as he looked completely thrown. ‘I really am lost for words, I’m not sure if I’m more proud of the fact that I’ve been honoured with this award against such stiff competition, or that my beautiful and talented wife won one too, or at the fact that seconds ago she told me that she’s three months pregnant.’ He laughed as another loud cheer went up. I blushed as all eyes turned to look at me and put a protective hand over my stomach, happy that I no longer had to hide it from everyone. I couldn’t believe after I’d be so sick recently that he hadn’t twigged. He tried to give a speech, but kept tripping over his own words and threw his hands up in the air. ‘I’m going to quit embarrassing myself, before someone decides to take this trophy off me and award it to one of my very worthy competitors. I can’t tell you what this means to me, or to us as a couple, but proud as I am right now, all I can think about is how much I want to kiss my wife and put my hands on her pregnant stomach.’

  Lucas

‘Stop, everyone’s looking,’ she laughed as I dropped to my knees and kissed her belly. I couldn’t believe I hadn’t realised, it had a gentle swell to it and that was why she’d been so sick recently. How could I have missed that?

‘I don’t care,’ I grinned, doing it again and again, aware of all the flashbulbs going off around us. I’d been so damned desperate to win that Oscar, to feel deserving of her, to finally command the sort of pay cheques that meant she was no longer the breadwinner. While it hadn’t bruised my ego that she was earning more than me, I felt lacking in some respects, I was the man, I should be the one that she could rely on to take care of her. Now though, I’d happily give it all back, the money, the fame and the Oscar, this meant so much more. I quickly stood up and held her face in my hands. ‘How about we skip the party, get out of here and do some celebrating of our own?’

‘I’d love that,’ she smiled, her eyes twinkling with happiness. I grabbed her hand and we quickly headed for the exit, our security team leaping to action, calling for our limousine to meet us out front. We had to stop and pose for some pictures, or Brian would have killed both of us, but soon we were closed in,
away from all the noise and intrusion into a very personal moment in our lives. Not that we had the luxury of keeping much private since we’d lived out here, both of our stock rising rapidly with each film we did.

  ‘Where to, Sir?’

‘Take us home please, Matt,’ I sighed, the thought seriously appealing, as I lifted my arm and let Summer snuggle against my side. I kissed the top of her head as Matt raised the privacy screen and set off for the coast.

‘I miss James,’ she whispered. ‘We never have banter with Matt.’

‘I miss him, too,’ I laughed. ‘He’d have had some smart alec remark about me heading home at this time, or he’d offer to bring me some slippers and a pipe and take me on a tour of an old people’s home. Whoever heard of Hollywood’s hottest couple going to bed early on Oscar night?’

‘It’s a damn comfy bed,’ she winked, as she looked up at me. ‘I know we have so much to be grateful for, with our careers and the lifestyle it affords us, but I’m never happier than when it’s just us together in our beautiful home.’

‘You really love it that much?’ I asked.

‘I really do,’ she nodded, as she pursed her lips for a kiss. We could have moved again to a huge mansion in Beverley Hills, overlooking the skyline of LA. If I’d still been Logan Steele, that’s exactly where I’d have been living, having wild celebrity parties, with a large garage full of flash cars, but though our house wasn’t huge, it had everything we needed. Summer had taught me that there was more to life than the trappings of wealth. That all that mattered in the end was family. I knew the day I lay on my deathbed, I’d want her by my side, I wouldn’t care about everything I’d accumulated. We were so settled here, we’d upgraded the kitchens and bathrooms, keeping the fresh New England look going, combining it with comfortable soft furnishings. We loved nothing better than curling up on the sofa, watching the most amazing sunsets over the ocean. We didn’t have a housekeeper, Summer loved cooking and refused to consider it, though I’d insisted on a cleaner. When we were out of the limelight, we led a quiet sheltered life, just content to be with each other and to spend time with our family and friends when they came over, or we went back to England to visit. I went to ask Summer something and smiled, she’d fallen asleep on my shoulder. No wonder she’d been feeling sick and tired, carrying our baby for three months. I needed to do some serious planning now I knew.
