“But you do know I was bullied early on,” I said.
“I know. Nat told me about it, but he also said you could hold your own. In fact, he did little. It was all you. You turned everything around, even making those boys who were trying to bully you, become your friends. What are their names?”
“Lincoln Blaine and River Millions,” I said, smiling, knowing how I had turned those guys around since they last tried to bully me out of Hidden Falls High. River was still waiting anxiously to see how I would exact revenge on him.
Aunt Sookie practically snorted out her coffee which she had been sipping when I said their names. “Lincoln Blaine, the son of the adult film actress Ruby Rhinestone and the rock star Billy Blaine?”
“Yup,” I said. “That’s Lincoln.”
“I heard he’s as crazy as his parents,” Aunt Sookie said.
“Well, you would be if you had parents like them,” I said.
“Summer, is he the right company for you to hang out with?” Aunt Sookie asked. “Does he take drugs and stuff like that?”
“Aunt Sookie! No, he’s tamer than his parents, but crazy in that he’s not like the rest of us. He lives in a mansion in Hidden Falls all by himself since his parents are always traveling, and he made it like a bachelor’s pad. Basketball court, arcade, movie theater. But he gets good grades so he can be in the student body council as Vice President,” I said. “Not bad for a kid spawned by Ruby and Billy Blaine.”
Aunt Sookie said, “He gets good grades and is Vice President in your school? Okay, guessed I judged too quickly. Sorry, just trying to be a parent of a young lady. You know I’m pretty new to it. Being an Aunt is so much easier.”
I laughed. “You’re fine either way. You practically raised me and the Donovans throughout the years, too. Not just as an aunt, but as a mentor and role model, too.”
“Aw, Sweetie,” Aunt Sookie said. “You always know the right thing to say. You’re so mature. That’s why I’d jumped at the chance of having you here with me all year, rather than just summers. You’re like my daughter, too, you know.”
“I know,” I said, smiling at my beautiful aunt.
“Okay, now that you’ll forgive me for being a parent aunt to you, what about this River Millions? Is his last name really the word, ‘Millions’?
“Yes, that is really his last name, and he is the River Millions who is heir and grandson to the Max Millions megabillion empire.”
“I’ve heard of Max Millions, the super fit fitness guru, former Olympian and Ph.D. who manufactures supplements, food plans, gym equipment, gym design, and anything fitness-related so successfully that their Max Millions brand are the number one sellers in supplements, vitamins, nutrition and more everywhere,” Aunt Sookie said.
“He’s the living embodiment of all that good health and fitness,” I said, almost blushing, thinking about how that one time I had him pose nude for me as my nude model for art class and being able to see what a perfect specimen of a male body, that he was. Afterwards, he confessed to really liking me, and how he wanted me as his girlfriend.
“I’m glad he’s into fitness and healthy living then,” Aunt Sookie said. “Hope that rubs off on you too. You can never stop learning about how to take care of yourself better.”
“So you approve of him hanging out with me, if he would,” I said.
“As long as he doesn’t try to bully you again,” Aunt Sookie said. “Because if he does, I’ll destroy him.”
I laughed. Seeing Aunt Sookie destroying anyone would be worth watching since she could be tough when she wanted to, but extremely sweet when she wanted to, too.
“Good,” I said. “Because he’s taking me to school this morning so you don’t have to drop me off on your way to your Acting Academy.”
Chapter 2
Summer
The doorbell rang right as I was finishing up breakfast.
Aunt Sookie went to get the door, and I heard River’s deep voice greeting Aunt Sookie, followed by Aunt Sookie’s laugh.
Aunt Sookie walked into the kitchen with a tall well-built young man who stared at me as I turned around from the sink, where I had washed my breakfast plate.
River was too hot and good-looking for his own good. White blonde hair, cut into short layers, but flattering to his high cheekbones, chiseled chin and large dark blue eyes. Although he wore a blazer and a tie over a white crisp shirt that was buttoned up neatly, and nothing was out of place on him, he filled out his school uniform like a dream.
Our eyes met, and I could feel his desire for me penetrate and wrap around me like an electric current. Ever since he posed nude for me as my nude model and then went down on me, the tension between us had been thick like molasses. He went from being my biggest bully to wanting me anyway he could get me.
“Summer,” River said, his voice softer than usual. It was the first time he had visited me at my house, and the first time meeting my family, Aunt Sookie. He was on his best behavior.
“River!” I smiled. “You’ve met my dear Aunt Sookie, haven’t you?”
“Of course he did, Silly,” Aunt Sookie said next to him.
River smiled a small smile, not one to be expressive, especially since my best friend of the same age and the little sister to Nat Donovan, Rachel once described River as “Super Hot.”
“Your Aunt,” he said. “Is a celebrity, Summer. I’ve watched those hit television shows she was on. You’re an Emmy-Award-winning actress. It’s an honor meeting you.”
Aunt Sookie laughed. “That was years ago. Now I mostly teach and run an Acting Academy close by.” She looked at River still staring at me the entire time and said, “Thank you for taking Summer to school this morning. Hope to see you around more often. She could use more friends at school since she’s still new.”
“She’s fitting in really well,” River said. “One of the most popular girls in school now, and definitely the most beautiful.”
I blushed and shrugged when Aunt Sookie looked over at me and back at River. I knew what she was thinking. “Um, I’ll go get my backpack, and we’ll get going to school.”
I rushed over to the sofa where I had my backpack on the ground and flung it over my shoulders. I was dressed in the same Hidden Falls Academy blazer, and white shirt as Silver (aka River as I call him once in a while because of his silvery eyes), but wearing a plaid skirt and knee-high socks with flats.
I grabbed River’s hand and led him out the door, while calling back to Aunt Sookie. “I’ll be back tonight for dinner.”
“Oh Sweetie,” Aunt Sookie said. “I have a late class I have to teach tonight. Maybe you can grab something for dinner. Sorry!”
River said, “That’s okay, Summer forgot we have an Art project we have to work on tonight. I’ll have my cook prepare an extra meal.”
I threw River a surprised look and said, “Yeah, I forget it is a big project. I’ll be fine tonight. Have a great class!”
River walked me to his silver Ferrari and helped me into the passenger seat. He walked to the driver’s side, sat in smoothly and reached over to pull the seatbelt over my lap.
His icy blue eyes, which became silvery at night or whenever it was dark, turned to me. “I do want you over for dinner at my place tonight, Summer. Now that Nat is no longer enrolled at Hidden Falls and left, I’ve stepped up to become President of the student body and Lincoln is the first Vice President. I want you to know, the first thing we voted on and passed was the stupid rule about enforcing student body demands to make new students enrolling late, leave. We were overruled by the student body to bully you out of Hidden Falls High because of that rule so we had to go through it. Now that I’m President, we won’t enforce anything as stupid as that.”
He reached down to hold my hands. “Which means, Summer, you’re safe with Lincoln and me. You’re safe at Hidden Falls High. I’m sorry I ever bullied you, and I still await your punishment for it.” He said it with almost a gleam in his eyes as though he would enjoy it. What did he hav
e in mind? I knew he had fantasies about me. He told me he did.
“River,” I said, looking at him, wanting to believe his sincerity, yet admiring how handsome he was. “I remembered you saying you want me to act as your girlfriend and sex slave when you become President…”
River looked disgusted. “That was when I was a bully to you and before I really fell for you, Summer. I want you for real. I want to be able to hold your hand like this, pick you up at your house, have you over at mine, eat together, be together, kiss you whenever I can and as often as I can.” He reached over and kissed me, his lips hot against mine. “Like this.” His tongue delved into my mouth to touch mine and heated me up as he deepened the kiss.
I moaned before accidentally biting his lower lip.
He groaned, “Oh Summer, you sexy vixen. I didn’t know you like it rough?”
I pulled away and said, “I didn’t either.”
He smiled and said, “If it’s rough you want, I can certainly give you that.”
A gleam came across his eyes, and I immediately thought of how Rachel had described him.
“He’s brilliantly smart like some evil scientist villain, but hot at the same time because everyone had said when he takes off his shirt, he is the most perfect male specimen.”
As if River knew what I was thinking, he said, “I can’t stop thinking about that day I ate you out. I crave your taste, Summer. I love watching your face contort in the pleasure I give you. It’s the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen.”
“River,” I said, remembering how gorgeous he was when he was fully naked and down on his knees, spreading my legs wide in front of his face. “I really like that, but I have to trust you enough not to film me or try to blackmail me like what Lincoln did with Rachel before I can let you get intimate with me again.”
“God, Summer,” River said, “I swear it won’t ever happen. I swear what goes on between you and me will stay between you and me. I’ll prove it to you.”
He started the Ferrari, and we were on our way to Hidden Falls.
We were going up the hill towards the Academy when we passed by Nat Donovan’s mansion. The lights were on, and a wave of nostalgia hit me. I missed the Donovans so much. I looked at River and asked. “Is Nat back?”
River frowned but said, “I’ll stop by. It’s on the way to school anyways.”
He pulled into the circular driveway and parked his Ferrari. Together we walked to the front door, my heart pounding in hope that the Donovans had decided to move back.
River rang the doorbell, and we waited a minute before the door opened.
A tall handsome young man in excellent shape, with a body that could rival River’s flawless one, and a little older than we were, stared back at us with piercing green eyes and short black hair. He was shirtless and only wearing black slacks that hugged his tight buttocks and legs in a way that showed off their tone. His upper body was perfectly muscular with a six-pack stomach, muscular arms, and a tribal tattoo of a sun around his left chest. He had a slight six o-clock shadow, which gave him a mysterious and sexy air.
“Can I help you?” he looked at River first before taking me in fully with his eyes. He had a British accent that almost made me drool.
“We’re looking for the Donovans?” I asked.
“The Donovans?” the young man asked. “No one by that name lives here. They must’ve been the last residents? I just moved in over the weekend.”
“Oh, we’re sorry to disturb you,” I said. “We’ll get going.”
River was just staring at the guy, clearly not liking what he was seeing.
The guy checked me out again and said, “That’s the Hidden Falls Academy uniform?”
“Yes,” I said. “The Academy up the street.”
“Come in,” he said. “Take a seat.”
“Um…we don’t want to intrude,” I said.
“No intrusion. It’ll be great to know someone at Hidden Falls Academy already. I was just getting ready when you rang. Let me go finish dressing.”
River and I went to the plush leather white sectional in the living room where the Donovans used to have a gold velvet eight-way hand-tied sofa. Where the Donovans had a contemporary elegant style, this young man had a modern almost high-tech look to this style.
“Help yourself to any drinks at my bar,” the young man called from the top of the stairs.
River went to the bar and took out a Ginger Ale soda for me and another for himself. I went over to him, and he handed me the can, lightly touching my hand as he did. His blue eyes met mine, and the look he shot me was dark, almost possessive. The presence of the hot handsome new guy was bringing out the cold dark side of River.
The young man came down the stairs, wearing the Hidden Falls Academy uniform and said, “I see you like playing by the rules. You got sodas instead of the liquor I have in there.”
“Well, we are heading to school,” River said gruffly. “I don’t want to smell like alcohol. Wouldn’t look good as the new President of the Student Body.” He reached out and shook the guy’s hand. “I’m River Millions, the President at Hidden Falls Academy. Welcome to our school.”
The handsome new guy’s eyes widened slightly as he acknowledged River. “River Millions,” he said. “I’m Dante Black.” He looked River in the eyes, and for a moment, it looked like they were having a mini battle between them. Two alpha males. Two very hot guys with equally perfect bodies fine-tuned to fighting and any physical activities, in a silent challenge.
Finally, Dante turned to look at me, and his eyes darted from my full lips to my breasts and then down to my legs where my skirt barely covered. I had grown another inch, since the beginning of the school year, and now my skirt was a little short. “And you are…?”
“Summer Jones,” I said. “Just a student. Still new too.”
River put his arm around my waist, pulling me close to him tight like we were a couple, his hand resting close to the front of my crotch. “Summer’s not just a student. She’s the top of her class and already the most popular girl in school.” He turned his face towards me and kissed my cheeks. “She’s so amazing, she’s also our school Ambassador, newly appointed by the Principal.”
“River!” I pushed his arm off of me. “I’m not all that…”
River looked at me and then at Dante. “Drop dead gorgeous and modest too.”
“I can see that,” Dante said, giving me a slight smile.
“Come on, guys!” I said. “We have to get going or we’ll be late for school.”
“You guys go ahead,” Dante said. “I still have some last minute things to do. But it was very nice meeting you.” He turned towards me and said, “Especially you, Summer. I hope as school Ambassador, you can show me around and get me situated.”
His green eyes burned into mine, and I felt a spark fly between us as though he took my hand and held it between both of his hands, palming mine like he wanted to keep me. He whispered to me, “I hope to see a lot more of you, Miss Ambassador.”

Dr. Good shook Asher’s hand then turned to Lux. “I’ve heard so much about you two. You’ve faced more action and activity in the last few months than most slayers see in their lifetimes.”
“It has been busy,” Lux said.
“Well, we’re very much looking forward to having you here. You’ll be attending Shadowlight Hunters Academy with some of the most experienced slayers from around the world.”
“It’s an honor,” Lux said.
“My sons,” Dr. Good said, placing her hand on Sullivan’s shoulder. “They may seem young, but they’ve been gifted with the sight and have been slaying since childhood. As they got older, they accompanied me wherever I
went. They learned a lot from me but learned even more from their own experiences. Like you, Lux, they’ve been fighting since the day they were born.”
“Nice to meet you,” Lucas said with a luscious British accent that brought a hint of propriety to his sexy deep voice. He held his hand out to Lux who shook it all while keeping her eyes on his magnificent blue-green eyes. His handshake was firm and strong as his fingers enveloped hers. His touch sent a startling tingle up her spine and judging by the small knowing grin on his lips, he was aware of the effect he had on her.
“It’s a pleasure meeting you,” Lux said trying to contain her attraction to him.
His long brown hair swept over his eye, giving him a very mysterious and alluring appeal. With a cleft in his chin and high cheekbones, he was a walking talking dream. He was tall, with strong broad shoulders, and there was something about him that reminded her of Brax.
