“Ummm Baby.” Lucky moaned while kissing Los’s lips. “Baby what did you say in Spanish to me?” Lucky asked in between kissing him sensually on the lips. “I said you looked beautiful today.” Carlos lied. Lucky stopped grinding underneath him and looked at him with a straight face. “Stop ya lying, you said something something coolo. You didn’t say nothing about me being beautiful.” Lucky didn’t know much Spanish but the normal text book stuff. Like any other kid growing up in the hood though she automatically caught on to the curse words and nasty ones. Carlos chuckled he was caught red handed. “A’ight ma you got me. I really said I’ma tear this pussy up. And that’s exactly what I did.” “Whateva,” Lucky said swatting him playfully in the head. He laid there inside of Lucky and drifted off to sleep, momentarily snoring. Lucky heard him snoring lightly in her ear as he laid on top of her snuggling his head in between the crook of her neck and shoulder. Los jolted awake from dozing off like a person who drifted off to sleep behind the wheel. He laid on his back pulling her into his arms so that she could lay on his chest and fall off to sleep too, neither one caring to get out of each other’s juices.

Lucky woke up a little while later feeling like she had to pee or purge to get rid of the sperm that was seeping between her thighs and ass crack. Carlos had bust in her to the point she was completely wet and uncomfortable. She knew it was wrong but ever since she’d been on birth control, she and Los had been engaging in unprotected sex more often. She told him previously that birth control didn’t give him permission to not use a condom, still it happened often. Lucky had gotten on birth control about two months ago when Los pull out technique failed to work one night. She was terrified that she was pregnant for sure. After they found out she wasn’t Los suggested that she get on something and Lucky couldn’t agree more. She wasn’t on any birth control previously because she wasn’t doing anything, now she was all the time. Lucky was on the depo shot. Although, she heard horror stories about the birth control method it was working great for her. After failing the pill miserably forgetting to take it on more than one occasion being busy with school and work she found out that the depo worked for her.

“Carlos, Carlos” Lucky whispered nudging him out of his sleep. Carlos moaned “What Luck? Go to sleep” He said grumpily. “Daddy I can’t, I’m wet. I need something to wipe myself,” Lucky complained in a spoiled way. “Uhh.” Carlos thought this was the ugly side of fucking raw. With condoms there was minimal mess. He didn’t feel like getting up but he knew Lucky wouldn’t stop bothering him. Los let go of Lucky and walked to the bathroom in the bedroom to grab a towel for her.

This was a first for him as well. Yes he had sex raw with a few women before, but that was only a couple of times when he was younger, now he never ran in anything without a condom except for Lucky. The eating pussy thing was a first as well, it just wasn’t his style. He had tasted a few in the past, and would consider those chicks lucky, but somehow he seemed to always have his head buried in between Lucky’s pretty browns. It felt different with her he rationalized. Truth be told everything was different with her. Carlos looked down at her as she was drifting off to sleep after wiping herself. He pulled her in closer kissing her on the forehead before falling off to sleep with her.

In the wee hours of the morning Los heard the door creek. He looked up to see his mother in the doorway. He smirked; Cathy smiled and shook her head. She looked at Lucky who looked as if she had a long night. Her hair was all over the pillow and covering her face. She had one arm and one leg draped over Los, with the top half of her body exposed. Cathy shook her head and closed the door. She was used to her son and his overactive sexual activity. She didn’t have a problem with it.

Lucky woke up the next morning and freaked out. “Carlos get up, Get out before your mother sees you in here.” She said while tapping and pushing him. Carlos turned and put the pillow over his head, the sun was bothering him. All the drinks he had the night before had caught up with him. “Lucky stop wildin out she already seen me in here.” Lucky’s mouth dropped open. “What!” She said in a loud whisper. “My momz got this habit of gettin up at night and walking around the house checking in all the rooms. She’s done that since I was a kid. She walked in this morning and saw me in bed and she ain’t say shit, cause she don’t care.” Lucky looked panicked she hopped up and went to take a shower. “Ma where you going?” Los called after her, He was so attached to her body heat and her being cuddled up under him it wasn’t even funny. “I’m taking a shower.” Lucky called from the bathroom. Los knew he wouldn’t get any sleep now so he decided to join her in the shower. However, Lucky shut that down quick she was not about to shower with him under his mother’s roof. When she was done she sat on the edge of the bed until Los was done with his shower. Lucky was trying to find a way of leaving without his mother seeing her when the telephone rung in the bedroom snapping Lucky out of her thoughts. Lucky looked over at the phone wide eyed, she was definitely not going to answer it. Los came out of the bathroom skin still glistening with water with a towel wrapped around his waist.

“Hey Mom. Good morning. Yeah we up. Alright. Yeah she is. We’ll be down in a minute,” Los said before hanging up. “She is what? What were you saying on the phone?” “Nothing Luck, my mom asked was you hungry and I said you were.” Lucky gave him a look as if she wanted to protest going downstairs and eating but the look on Los’s face said he didn’t want to hear it.

You could smell the food before you hit the kitchen. His mother had Los and Lucky’s plates at the kitchen island and the plates were packed with food. “Good morning,” Cathy sang as they entered the kitchen. “Lucky hun Carlito told me that you liked pancakes so I made you some.” Lucky looked at the plate with the buttermilk pancakes in it, the pancakes were big and fluffy. There were sausages, eggs with cheese, and turkey bacon in a separate plate. “Thank you.” Lucky said nervously. Cathy turned to her son and started speaking in Spanish, she walked over kissed him on the cheek and left the kitchen. “I thought you said your mother was just black?” Los shook his head with a mouth full of food; he waited to swallow his food to answer. “She is, she was married to a Colombian man Lucky. Don’t you think she would have learned to speak Spanish?” Lucky shrugged her shoulders. “Yo my mom speaks that shit better than some Colombian people. She been speaking to me in both Spanish and English since I was a kid. My dad wanted me to know both and trust me, it has come in handy.”

“Do you have any pictures of him?” Los shook his head. “Eat ya food Ma.” After that he said nothing until he finished eating and waited till Lucky said she was full to lead her into the great room. There were countless pictures in the room of Los’s father and lots of them were family photos with Los’s mother, Los and even Jah and Nice.

He flopped down on the couch and pulled Lucky down on his lap opening a huge photo album. The first picture was of Los as an infant. “Ohh my god baby you look like a little girl with all that hair!” All of the pictures of him until the age of seven he had long hair all down his back in cornrows. “My pops made my mother cut that mess off. He hated when people confused me for a little girl even though I was dressed like a boy. It drove my pop’s crazy,” Los chuckled.

Carlos Sr. was fine shoot that man was handsome. His father’s eyes were dark and deep. He looked like he was a ladies man for sure. His mother was just as pretty today as she was when she was younger. She still had the same body type only difference was her hair was long instead of the short sophisticated doo she wore now. His parents looked happy and in love in the photos. “Damn boy your father fine.” Los looked at Lucky and sucked his teeth. “Yeah well you know I’m like a car baby. See that was the original version but you know with time the versions only get better, faster, flashier and can last longer,” He said with a sexy grin. “I mean on gas, I mean last way longer on gas.” “Yeah I bet that’s what you meant. Carlos you are so damn stuck on ya’self,” Lucky said with a smile shaking her head.

He looked just like his fat
her with his mother’s eyes. Los even had the same body type as his father. His father though was real cocky about his though, in a lot of the pictures his father wore wife beaters showing off his muscular arms or no shirt at all, flexing on the beach or the streets. It didn’t matter where the pictures was taken. They flipped the page looking at the pictures and both started cracking up. His father had a leather Kangoo on, shirtless with some tight looking leather pants flexing. There were also pictures of his father in designer suites that you could just tell by looking at them they were expensive custom made Italian designer suits.

Lucky flipped through about four photo albums and still wasn’t finished, there was about 5 or 6 more huge photo albums to look at. “This is when we were in Europe, and Italy.” Lucky looked on in amazement. Los had been all around the world and that was not an exaggeration; his parents took family vacations just about everywhere. He said his parents wanted him to be cultured and know more than just the United States. “Baby is that Jah?” “Yeah” “Oh my god he was such a pretty little boy.” “Pretty? What the hell you talkin about? Lucky say handsome, good looking or something not pretty.” “But baby he was. You know you and Jah look a lot alike? I don’t know if I ever mentioned it to you before but you do.” “Yeah I know a lot of people used to assume he was my brother instead of my cousin.” “Mickey!” Lucky shrieked as she turned to a picture with Los, Mickey, Minnie and Goofy at Disneyworld. “Yeah that was Disney; we went like every year, sometimes twice a year. I don’t care to see any of those damn costumes again.” Cathy walked in the living room and had to do a double take, never in her life had she ever witnessed Carlos let any female in this intimate part of his life. She stood there and stared for a second. Lucky looked so happy and so did he. Carlos felt eyes on him so he looked up to find his mother just staring at him. “Hey Mom you remember this?” Cathy walked over and laughed. “Umm hmm, I sure do. Jah was terrified of those characters. He was screaming and crying every time we went anywhere in Disney, that’s how you knew his lil ass was bad. All bad kids are afraid of the simplest things.” Lucky looked at Los “I’ve never been there before,” she confessed. As a child she had always wanted to go but Matoo and her Uncle Kev never had the time to take her and Ty being that Kev worked all the time. Los and Cathy both looked at Lucky as if she had said something crazy. “Lucky Charms you never been to Disney baby?” From what he knew Lucky didn’t live a hard knock life. Her uncle worked hard for the City as a construction worker before he passed away. Lucky shook her head “No, I never went. My Aunt and Uncle always planned to take us, but he was always working then after the accident it just didn’t feel right us going without him.” “I’ll bring you then,” Los said reaching up and pinching her cheek affectionately. Cathy looked on, with a smile on her face then walked off to give them privacy. Whatever Lucky had done to her son she liked it. He was different now, more in touch with his emotions and much happier. She couldn’t remember the last time she saw him smile so much.

Hours later Cathy was standing at her front door giving her son a hug goodbye. “Be careful driving out there boy, don’t be speeding it’s still bad out there,” Cathy said in a chastising tone knowing her son all too well. “A’ight ma I hear you.” “You better,” Cathy said. She walked over to Lucky who still looked nervous, taking Lucky in her arms for a warm embrace. Then she whispered in Lucky’s ear “Hold on to my son. He’s a good man,” Cathy let Lucky go. “It’s been a pleasure meeting you and I hope to see a lot more of you in the future,” Then she leaned in and gave Lucky a peck kiss on the cheek. Lucky beamed. “Likewise Mrs. Johnson.” “Oh please Lucky call me Cathy or Mom,” Cathy winked and smiled like she knew something nobody else did. Lucky smiled back at her. Carlos felt a bit nervous all of a sudden with Lucky and his mom giving each other this look as if they had a secret. “A’ight mom. I’ll call you later.” he said breaking Cathy and Lucky’s trance like smile. “Now that wasn’t all that bad ha?” Los asked pinching Lucky’s cheek playfully as he held the passenger side door open for her to get in. “No baby, I enjoyed myself,” Lucky said through a bright smile.

  Unexpected Surprise!!

“Oh here we go again,” Lucky huffed rolling her eyes playfully. She had heard the story about a hundred times already. She was happy for Keema but Keema had just about worn her out with the engagement story. Keema cut her eyes at Lucky “Shut up bitch you just jealous it ain’t you and Los,” Keema spat. Lucky smiled, “So what maybe I am, but I still don’t want to hear your damn story again neither.” Both Keema and Lucky looked at each other with attitude then burst out laughing.

Keema loved her some Lucky, they were just as close as she and Ty were but Keema always looked at Lucky as a little sister someone she had to watch over because Lucky had this natural innocence and naivete about her. Not to mention it was way easier to talk to Lucky than Ty, Ty would go off the handle in a minute yelling about you should’ve known better this and that, Lucky on the other hand was supportive, comforting and honest with her advice. Most importantly she never said I told you so.

“Okay so where was I Meek before I was so rudely interrupted by haters in the buildin?” “Thanksgiving,” Mika reminded her. “Oh yeah so Thanksgiving, I just got out the shower and was getting dressed so that we could head over to Los mother’s house for dinner. He grabbed me and sat me down on his lap then asked me what I was most thankful for? And I said, I was thankful for having him back in my life. I guess I said the right thing cause he looked at me and said good answer ma. I’m thankful for having you in my life as well, but I would be even more thankful if you say yes to spending the rest of your life with me.”

Keema jumped up from the couch and reenacted the scene when he pulled the ring box from behind his back. Lucky and Ty were laughing so hard they were falling all over each other trying their hardest not to spill their homemade martinis. Every time Keema told her story she got so excited on that part. “Aww that is so romantic. Girl that should’ve been me getting that big ass ring,” Mika teased. “Hell nah, girl I done put in my dues with this nigga. Arguments, fights, being his sideline chick while he fucked with some other bitch because it was convenient, having this nigga disappear on me for years. I deserve this right here,” Keema said pointing to her ring finger. And no one in that room could argue with that. “Yeah but through all the bullshit it only made you and Jah stronger. Girl that boy love him some Meema,” Lucky said.

“I know,” Keema agreed all dreamy eyed. “He was pissed with me right before we made it to Cathy’s for dinner.” “He was?” Lucky asked surprised because he didn’t come off as being upset at all. “Yeah he was, we were late cause you know, we had to celebrate out engagement, if you know what I mean. The fool said he wanted me to ride his face. So y’all know my freak ass was all for it. I was up on his chin before he could blink. He’s like Keem when I pinch your leg that means I need a break, cause he know how a bitch be zoning at times. I agree, you know I’m just anxious to get it poppin. Jah’s a pro with his tongue, I swear you would think he had platinum and diamonds on the tip of that shit. Jah was giving me some of that super dome, I’m screaming his name at the top of my lungs and riding his face all crazy now mind you, this nigga been pinching me for the last two minutes straight. He had to grab both my legs and push me backwards on his legs. That damn man was coughing and choking, talking about he couldn’t breathe.” The room erupted in laughter. “My baby was breathing hard and trying to catch his breath. I literally almost suffocated him. He told me he should’ve bit the shit out of me. He was so pissed he got up, took a shower, brushed his teeth and got dressed all without saying a word to me. But, y’all know he can’t stay mad with me. By the time we made it to dinner all was forgotten.”

“That’s good y’all getting along, cause as of late, me and Carlos been arguing alot,” Lucky said in a dejected tone. Everyone looked genuinely surprised. “Really Luck? Why?” Ty asked. “He wants me to quit my job. And I’m just not feelin it. He’s bringing up the
fact that if I quit I could focus on nothing but my senior year of school. What he’s neglecting to mention is that I’ll be totally dependent on him, and I just can’t do that. I’m too used to being independent having my own. To make matters worse, I got a B- in my Research & Statistics class. It brought my GPA down a lil so you know I heard it from Los. I don’t know what’s going on with me lately… I never pull these type of grades.” “I know what’s going on with ya ass, it’s all that good dick you been getting, it’s clouding your brain,” Keema interjected. “Nah Keema be for real,” Lucky said in a serious tone. “Lucky I’m very much for real. Before you started messing with Los your love life was well uhh…pretty much non-existent. Now you got a man, school and work. That’s the difference hun, that’s a lot to juggle.” Lucky sat there and pondered Keema’s statement for a few seconds. It was true, things seemed a lot easier as far as school was concerned when Los wasn’t a part of the equation. “I know he’s right but that job been good to me, where else can I work 32 hours a week and get summers off? Plus, I can’t help but think he has ulterior motives for having me quit my job. You know what I mean?” “Hell yeah he do Lucky, what he’s really saying when he says quit work to focus on school, is quit work so you can focus more on school and him. I say let the nigga take care of you for a few months till you’re done with this year. It’s not like you ain’t got ya own if he acts up. You not some dumb chick who’s waiting for a baller nigga to come and be your knight in shining armor. You have a nice little cushion that can cover your bills in case dude get funny style.” Lucky fell silent as she listened to her cousin. “Your right. I guess…I just gotta think on it a little bit more,” Lucky concluded while musing over her situation.
