I hold out my arm. “Do it now. I want to see it.”

Carter stared at me. I watched as he took a deep breath.

Taking my hand in his, he brought my wrist up to below his nose and inhaled. I watched as his fangs descended.

“As soon as I pierce the skin, you will enter into a heightened state. I’ll do my best to get you to witness what happens, but just so you know, you might not recall it. It depends on your reaction to the bite.”

  “I understand.”

He lowered his head and I felt a sharp piercing pain which was immediately followed by numbness at the site. At the same time my sex clenched, my arousal soaking my panties. I wanted Carter’s cock so damn bad, yet I just slept with Smith. Carter withdrew, licking across the wounds and I watched through my lust fueled gaze as the bites disappeared in front of my eyes.

“Do you believe me?” Carter asked. My eyes caught his gaze. His breathing was heavy, and I knew he’d had the same reaction. I moved my now healed arm in the direction of his pants. Sure enough he was rock hard.

“I need you, Carter. Fuck, I can’t explain it. I need you inside me now.”

“You don’t have to explain. I feel the same.”

He lowered his pants and boxers, his erection springing free and as he pushed his seat back I wriggled out of my panties. I climbed astride him, so wet I needed no foreplay and I sank onto his cock. He filled me completely, and I felt frantic with desire. Carter thrust his hips up toward me, holding me by the waist and I sank down on him over and over, moaning and seeking my climax. As I felt myself close, I moved my hair away from the side of my neck. Carter didn’t need a further invite. His mouth fastened on my neck sucking and licking and as his thrusts became more frantic he bit down. The world erupted in a kaleidoscope of color as my core clenched so hard as I came that I thought I would pass out.

“Holy fuck, what was that?” Carter said. Licking across my wounds, he sat back in his seat panting.

“What?” I panicked. “What was what?”

“It’s never felt like that before. Never. Was it the same for you? Just mind blowing like we went somewhere else?”

  “Yes. It was incredible.”

“Was it… was it the same with Smith?”

“Yes and no. You fuck differently but my climax was wild like with you. As if my body just came home. That’s the only way I can describe it.”

I climbed off his lap and sat back on the seat, using my discarded panties to clean myself up. It was true. It had felt like I was meant to be with both of them, some chemical reaction. Would it be the same with Jayden and Flynn? I couldn’t believe I’d slept with two guys within an hour. And Leonie had thought she was loose!

Carter pulled his boxers back on and started the drive to the hotel. Within minutes I was back in my room, having given Carter a quick kiss on the cheek and told him I’d see him at the beach Thursday morning.

I hit the shower in my room, and as I watched the water circle the drain, that’s what my thoughts felt like.

I was here to do a story and I now had an 'in'. I’d already slept with two of them. The four of them wanted me as their partner, one lover between them. There was a question mark over Smith’s parentage for an added bonus.

They’d screwed over Leonie and now I could screw them over in return.

But that sex. Carter said it had never happened like that before with anyone else.

  What did that mean?

Were they spinning me a lie? Perhaps I should call Leonie and ask her some further questions. I’d check in with my boss tomorrow too and let her know I’d made progress. She’d be pleased.

Soon this would all be over. By the end of the week I’d have my story I was sure. If I asked to meet their parents, perhaps I could get my bonus story also?

A huge climax by the end of the week. In more ways than one.

But as I climbed beneath my comforter, other thoughts refused to go away. The fact I’d loved the sex. That I wasn’t finding the playboys the demons I’d thought they’d be. Then there was the biggest surprise of them all. Were they really vampires? My rational mind was fighting this every step of the way even though I’d seen it with my own eyes and my senses had experienced it. But was it some form of hypnotism? I was open-minded. Yes, I believed there was more to life than what we knew. I’d had weird experiences in my past that I couldn’t explain. But nothing could prepare a person for seeing something they were predisposed to think was an utter pile of nonsense. My boss definitely wouldn’t run with a real vampire story, so it would have to be portrayed as part of their sick set up either way—hypnotizing women, then wanting one woman who they could experiment on. That was the way I’d play it.

I needed to sleep but my mind wouldn’t leave me alone. In the end I took two sleeping tablets. My last thoughts were of the fact that tomorrow I was seeing Flynn again and would he seduce me on his stepmother’s carpet like he had Leonie?

I couldn’t wait to find out.

  Chapter Sixteen

  Carter

I returned to Smith’s as soon as I’d dropped Serena off. I was still dazed from our fuck and went back into the house carrying my pants, dressed in only my shirt and boxers.

Three sets of eyes stared at me as I walked back into the room upstairs.

  “You fucked her?” Jayden stated.

“She asked me to show her our bite. One thing led to another.” I looked over to Smith. “It was like a chemical reaction or something. I came so damn hard. Were you the same?”

“I thought I might burst a blood vessel in my neck; I came like a freight train.”

“There’s definitely something with her. Something different to with other women.” I said to the others. “You need to sleep with her, see if it's the same.”

“So much for the whole let's be friends thing.” Flynn said wrily.

“I believe we've found our 'one' and the sooner we confirm this the sooner we can really get this underway.” I said. “The thought of sharing her between the four of us is driving me crazy.”

“Well, I’ll see what happens tomorrow. I’m certainly not pressuring her to sleep with me. I said I’d take some photos of her and that’s exactly what I’ll do.”

“It all needs to be natural. I agree.” I told him. “But that’s what happened in the car. I had no intention of fucking her, just to take her home, but it didn’t work out that way.”

  Smith stood up.

“Where are you going?” I asked him.

“To kick everyone out and get my house back. I want to climb into my bed and jerk off for hours thinking about Serena. Seriously, guys, I never felt anything like it. I think she’s the addiction I’ve been searching for.”

“Thought you were all, ‘she’s shady',” Jayden scoffed.

Smith shrugged. “Ted hasn’t found anything so far. There’s a remote possibility I was wrong.”

“Smith Henderson admitting he could be wrong? What is happening in this world? Have aliens landed?” I laughed, winking at him.

“I’m still looking into it though. I’m not giving up yet. Not until all her references have checked out.”

I shook my head at him. “Come on, guys, let’s leave Smith alone with his best friend, his cock.”

We said our goodbyes and left. I knew exactly how Smith was feeling. I was replaying our fuck in my mind over and over and my hard on was raging in my boxers.

They called vampires the undead, but Serena made me feel very much alive.

  Chapter Seventeen

Phone call from Ted Johnson, Owner Malibu Dream to unknown.

“Smith’s asking questions about Serena. He asked me to do a background check.”

“Always so suspicious that boy. Have you put him off?”

“I’ve told him I’m still double checking them but that nothing untoward has surfaced so far.”

“Thank you. Not long now and I can reveal myself.”

“Well, I thought I’d better let you know in case yo
u needed to bring your plans forward.”

“Thank you, Ted. So far everything seems to be working out perfectly.”

  Chapter Eighteen

  Flynn

The doorbell rang at five pm precisely. I took a deep inhale because I honestly didn’t know what to expect. What had happened last night had meant me deliberating deep thoughts until the early hours.

I’d given the housekeeper the evening off and answered the door myself. “Hey.” I said to her. She was wearing a pale-blue top and white trousers, and was wheeling a suitcase. “I didn’t know what to wear, so I brought a selection.” She said.

I smiled. “What you have on is perfect. The blue and white complement your hair color and skin tone. Come on through. Do you want a drink?”

“Just a glass of water please. It’s a little hot out there. Thank goodness for air conditioning.” She said as she followed me through the house. “Shall I leave my shoes here, Flynn?”

I turned around to her. “No, keep them on. It’s a house, not a museum.”

Serena’s face relaxed slightly and she smiled. “Okay.”

“Are you nervous?” I asked her.

“Yeah. I told you, I hate having my photograph taken. I just can’t relax.”

“Hey, I’m sure you’ll not be that bad. You know me a little so it’ll make it easier.” I didn’t remind her I’d seen her having sex with Smith. How could she be nervous in front of me fully dressed when I’d seen her naked? She’d not been shy when we’d come out of the room then, she was more angry if anything.

“I sent the new brochures for printing. They are going to look amazing.”

  “Good.”

“Mainly due to your awesome photography skills.”

“I was happy to help. Like I said, I’ve known Ted a long time.”

I pushed open the door of the studio and Serena looked around.

“Take a seat on the chair there and I’ll take a few snaps, then I’ll adjust the light etc.”

She wasn’t kidding. Serena could not pose for a photograph. Every one looked like she’d been electrocuted, and the more time went on the more fixed in a grimace her face became. It was like photographing a ventriloquist's dummy.

“Okay, let’s stop. Serena, you need wine. Lots and lots of wine.”

“I so do, this is very stressful. I told you I was hopeless.” She hopped off the chair. “All I’ve done is give myself a headache.”

“The wine’s not for the stress. It’s to help you relax. Come on, let's go through to the living room and have a break and a drink. We’ll come back when you’re more relaxed.”

In the living room I opened a bottle of red wine and passed her a glass.

“It’s red wine not blood, right?” She quipped.

  “Yeah, this one’s wine.”

“So, just for tonight I’m going to go along with the whole ‘you’re vampires’ thing, okay?”

  I huffed a laugh. “Okay.”

“So can I ask you questions about it? My mind’s been racing over the whole thing.”

“Sure, what do you want to know?”

“Well for a start, how did you all become vampires? Were you turned by some evil guy?”

“No. We were born this way. Forget what you see in movies, Serena. We eat, drink, sleep, just like you do. We just need regular drinks of blood to survive. We can compel which you learned about last night—though for some reason it doesn’t seem to work on you—and there are a few other differences. We’re stronger. We don’t physically age past thirty.”

“You don’t age? How on earth will you explain that in later life?”

“We can use glamors. Make people think they’re seeing something other than they are.”

“Could you do one now, or will that not work with me either?”

“Sit back a moment with your wine and we’ll see.”

She sat back, and I emptied my mind of all thoughts and then I imagined myself as looking older than I did now. I pictured wrinkles, dryer skin, salt and pepper hair. I knew it had worked when she lost her grip on her glass.

“Oh my God. You changed in front of my eyes.”

I opened my own, leaving the glamor in place. “So you can see this? Can see the look I’ve put on myself?”

“Yes. So why can I not see through glamor, yet you can’t compel me?”

I took a deep breath. “My mother said it could be because you are meant for us. Like a destiny thing. Either that or you have some vampire blood of your own.”

At this she guffawed. “Vampire blood? I was adopted. My mother was a whore and my father a blank name on a birth certificate, so who knows, but I seriously doubt it.”

“Why? Why is it so impossible? There’s not only us four vampires in the world.”

“I can assure you I’m fully human. I’ve been on the planet twenty-five years. So I think I’d have noticed if I wanted to drink blood or fly on a broomstick.”

It was time to change the subject. I got that it must be difficult for a human to suddenly try to believe something that had been make-believe for them for so many years before. I sat and worked the glamor off while Serena finished her drink, then lifted the bottle from the table and poured herself another.

“So, how’s the job going? Have you settled in a little more?”

She sighed. “It’s a great job. I don’t know if I’ll want to do it long term. It’s really hard sometimes to not punch people in the face.”

I spluttered some wine out. “Why do you want to punch people in the face?”

“Some of them treat me like the shit off their shoe. I get I’m not a millionaire or billionaire, but I still feel I deserve respect. They trust me enough to organize their event but don’t value me enough sometimes to look me in the eye. Some guys just speak to my chest the whole time.”

“You wouldn’t have to work at all if you chose to be our woman.” I told her.

Her face pinched. “I don’t want to be a kept woman. I’ll always want to work.”

“I’m just saying you’d have options.”

“A paid for woman, that sounds remarkably like a prostitute from where I’m sitting.”

“No.” I shot to my feet and started pacing. “Not at all. We are clear on this. Our woman will be worshiped not treated as some kind of sex toy or plaything. Our whole existence will center around keeping our girl happy.”

“You’re really serious about this sharing a woman thing, aren’t you?”

I could feel the strength of my gaze trying to penetrate her soul, to get her to understand. “Yes. Love, sex, and blood are what make a vampire who they are. Makes us whole. We are all missing that, all four of us. That connection to a woman, of the love shared between lovers.”

“How long have you been looking for a woman to share?”

  "Just over a year."

“I gather it’s not been successful.”

“No. Well you can imagine, can’t you? Everyone has different tastes, and we found that for every woman one of us liked, another would find them lacking. To be honest we had about given up before you arrived.”

“Why don’t you choose another vampire? A female one?”

“We have dated our own. It hasn’t worked out either.” I stared at her again. “Why haven’t you run, Serena? Four vampire males have said they want to share you and whether you believe we are supernatural or not, that’s four virile men who want you to be theirs and to have their babies some day. How are you still sitting there calmly? How come the thought of a photograph scares you rigid but the thought of four men at once has your legs parting?”

She looked down at her thighs, unaware that as I’d spoken they’d slipped open wider.

And then I got it. I’d been taking her photograph all wrong.

I stood and walked over to her and held out a hand. “Come with me.” She took my hand, and I led her back into the studio.

“Strip down to your bra and panties, Serena.” I commanded.

  Her cheeks pi
nked up, her lips plumped and turned cherry red. She stripped off until she was in front of me in nothing but a lacy black bra and thong.

“Okay. Now sit in the chair again.”

As she took her seat, I walked over to her and slipped off a bra strap. I captured a nipple in my mouth and sucked and laved it. Serena’s head tilted back, and she groaned.

This had not been my intention, but she was blossoming in front of my eyes. The way to Serena was through her passion. I undid her bra and flung it to the ground. My hands cupped her breasts as my lips captured hers.

Then I broke away from her. “Stay there.” I told her, and I picked up my camera.

  “Pose for me, Serena.”

The snaps were entirely different. Even when I had her dress in different clothes she didn't lose that flush. Her face had come alive on camera due to her arousal. She glowed on my tiny screen but only I would know it was because of the lust pulsing through her body. I finished by encouraging her to strip off down to her bra and panties again. Then I slung the strap holding the camera around the back of my neck and stalked back over to her. Rather than be nervous she looked at me like I was a tub of Ben and Jerry’s and she was holding a spoon.

I moved her thighs apart and stroked my thumb under her panties, pressing slightly on her nub. She bit her lip, moaned and raised her pelvis.

  “You like that?”

  “I love it.”

I ripped her panties from her body and placing three fingers together I worked them in and out of her heat. Her moisture ran, dripping over my fingers as her breathing became ever more labored and she attempted to clench her thighs together. I’d had enough of teasing. I lifted her out of the chair and carried her up the stairs to my bedroom.

She padded over to my bed, but I shook my head. “No, Serena, up against the window. You like to be watched, don’t you? Carbon Beach is a public beach, you might be seen, you might not.”

She smiled and walked right over to the window, gazing at the ocean while I shed my clothes.
