“You taste fucking amazing, pumpkin. But before I finish…I owe you a punishment.” Devlin pulled away and flipped me over. My ass perched for his hand.
“That’s right, pumpkin. You know how you need to be.” He ran his hand over the globes of my ass, lightly slapping each cheek - a way to desensitize the skin. I prepared myself for the spanking - one of his favorite punishments besides orgasm denial. The side of his hand ran over the sensitive flesh as he pulled back and smacked me. The initial sting was there, but the pleasure soon took its place, as my body and mind slipped into the rhythm of his slaps, the alternating sides and areas. The slaps got harder and more frequent, and my pussy responded by getting wetter. It wasn’t a secret that I enjoyed a good punishment. Devlin rubbed the stung flesh, as he slowly began to stroke my clit, sliding his fingers in and out of my opening, spreading my wetness around my vagina.
“Oh, God…that…feels…awe…” words slipped out during baited breaths as Devlin continued to pump his fingers in and out of my pussy. I could feel my body tightening, getting closer to the release that I desperately needed at that moment.
“Don’t come, pumpkin. I want to be buried deep inside you. I want you to come all over my cock as I pound you relentlessly from behind, so you don’t forget who you belong to.” The strict voice rang in my ear. We’d see about that.
I heard the familiar sound of Devlin’s zipper lower as he lined the head of his cock to my opening. He teased the area, rubbing himself across my lips, before sheathing himself in my pussy. Devlin thrust in and out, repeating the motions at a painfully slow speed. The head of his cock dragged against the rough patch at the top of my pussy, sending surges of electricity throughout my body. His fingers were once again circling my clit, pinching, flicking and rubbing it, combining with the pleasures his dick was eliciting inside me.
“Sir…I’m not going to last much longer,” I said, trying to think of something else other than the thickness within my core.
“You can come, pumpkin.” Devlin sped up his thrusts, his balls smacking against my ass, his cock sliding out and pushing in. My body began to tense- the muscles of my pussy clenched down on his dick as my orgasm hit me like a tidal wave, sending multiple waves throughout every inch of my body. Damn, I’m gonna miss this when he was gone. A few more thrusts, and Devlin’s grunts signaled his release.
A few moments passed, and Devlin pulled out and cleaned himself up. He came back to the bed with a washcloth, and cleaned me as well. “Ally, as much as we need to talk everything through right now, I just don’t have the time to explain. But I promise I will.”
I turned to look at him. “I’m sorry, Devlin, but I don’t know if I can do this. You, me, and the secrets. I need time to think.” I rolled off the bed and threw on a robe that was lying on the ottoman at the footboard.
Devlin pulled me close to him again, placing a gentle kiss on my lips. “I’m not giving up on you, and you are not leaving me.”
“Please go.” I pulled away, knowing my actions made me out to be a complete bitch. I’d just let him fuck me, and now I was giving him the cold shoulder.
“Just remember what you said to me at the diner, pumpkin.” And with that, he turned and left the room. I heard the front door close a few seconds later. I curled into bed and cried myself to sleep.
“Are you serious?” I asked Kelsey over the phone. “I don’t know if I am ready to face him yet?”
“Well, get your arse ready, because you will see him on Sunday, maybe. Depends if I feel like letting him.” A crackle in her voice signaled that she had amused herself a little.
“Did he say anything?” I asked, a thousand things running through my head.
“Nope. Just as cryptic as you are. Although he wasn’t happy you were working for Ashworth.”
“What the hell? You told him that?” I was sitting on a couch in the main area of the hotel room, flipping through the channels on the telly.
“He fucking asked. I mentioned something about you working for him. He wasn’t happy, sweet cheeks.”
“Did you really think he would have been? He knows Ashworth’s reputation.” I sighed as I ran my free hand through my hair, pushing the front out of my face.
“Well, maybe you should have taken the offer on working for my father. Replace him when you had the choice.”
“You know I couldn’t have done that. No one can live up to his reputation.” I sat back on the couch and stared up at the ceiling.
“You’d be surprised,” Kelsey responded. “Shit, I need to go. I’ll bring dinner soon.”
“What do you mean, I’d be surprised? What do you know?”
“Don’t ask me. Haven’t you learned that I am in control, not you? I’ll see you in a little while.” She hung up the phone before I could say another word. What the fuck did she know? Could it deal with why he’d left? Fuck. Fuck. Fuck!
I flipped through the channels on the television again, trying to occupy my mind with something other than thinking about the inevitable meeting with Devlin. I thought back to the first time I’d met him in the club. I’d been there with a friend, and his presence radiated across the floor. He was with Kelsey, although not playing with her, just there as a bodyguard - even though she didn’t need one. Kelsey was a force to be reckoned with. She owned the club - not financially - but with the way she held herself, the way her presence filled the floors. Submissives bowed at her feet, dominants moved out of the way. She was the Alpha female, or Domme, whatever your choice of word. It helped that she was downright gorgeous, with her long black hair, and the way she filled in a leather cat suit…damn.
Devlin was leaning up against a wall, wearing a pair of black leather pants and a black vest. The tattoos that covered his chest and arms made your eyes wander over every part of his body; the ripped muscles in his chest, the six pack in his abdomen, the V darting into the pants, his bulge situated in the middle. It was my first time at the club, and I introduced myself on a dare from my friend. He was short and to the point, introducing himself as a Dom, but not one playing that night. I asked if I could meet him again, and he said he would. From that moment on, I wouldn’t submit to anyone else. Our relationship started out as play partners, and developed into so much more. A year after meeting him, I moved in with him, and a few months later we added Caroline. Until that day he left.
There was a knock on the door and I glanced at the clock, seven-thirty. I got up and walked to the door, looking through the peephole to see who was there. Kelsey. I unlocked the door and let her in.
“Good evening, ma’am.” I gestured her in.
“Sweet Cheeks.” Kelsey walked in and placed a bag of food on the table in front of the couch.
“What’s for dinner?”
“Thai. Hope you like it. Wait, no I don’t. You’ll eat it and like it.” She flashed me a grin and sat on the couch. I shut the door and sat next to her, pulling the cartons out of the bag, placing them in front of us.
“I’m starved. I’ll eat anything right now.” I looked through the containers, and threw a few things on a plate. Kelsey did the same.
“So…what did he say?” I asked as I took a bite of food.
“Why should I tell you?” She stared at me with that penetrating look of hers.
“Because you are gorgeous, beautiful and fierce person, and it will torture me more knowing than not knowing?”
Kelsey started laughing. “Got anything to drink? You should. I do keep the suite stocked.”
That was my cue to get her something to drink. I made my way directly to the mini-bar, and fished her a bottle of the only thing stocked in the fridge; Grey Goose vodka.
“Here you go. So, are you going to tell me what he said?” I sounded like a love struck fool.
“Nope.” She took a sip of her drink and another bite of her food. “I will swing by tomorrow, pick you up, and take you to the club with me. We will meet him there.”
“Why there? Isn’t it safer here? I mean, I’m sure Ashwor
th’s men would have the club watched. Who the fuck wouldn’t?” I put my plate down on the table and turned to face her. “Why the club?”
“Because I have some unfinished business with him. We’ll sneak you in, and I’ll have Kaiser watch you until I am done with Devlin. Then you’re his, and I’m free to live my life again.”
“Touché. Thanks for caring.” I smirked because I knew she was joking in her own way.
“Well, thank me tomorrow with a nice orgasm. He didn’t say much, by the way. Pissed at me more than you.” She paused and shrugged her shoulders. “Well, until he realized that you had been working for Ashworth.”
“It wasn’t my best decision. What do you think will happen now?” I asked her while she finished her food and placed the plate on top of mine.
“I don’t know, sweet cheeks. I assume he’ll figure something out to get you out of your pickle.”
“You make it sound so simple.”
“Well, we both know that it’s not. Listen, I need to get going. Pick up around five-thirty.”
“See you then.” Kelsey left, and I locked the door behind her.
I went into the bedroom and crawled into bed to watch television - there was nothing else to do,and I needed a distraction from the anxiety building in my stomach. Devlin was returning to London after four years and no word since the day he’d packed a bag and walked out. I flipped through the channels, trying to get the memory out of my mind, but it wasn’t happening. The living room of the flat we’d shared filled my vision. Caroline and I had been sitting on the couch, watching a movie, flirting, and playing with each other until Devlin returned home from work that night. It was roughly midnight, and the movie was finishing up. I glanced at my watch and back to Caroline. It was late for Devlin. He was usually home during the week by eleven.
Caroline called his cell, with no luck. Devlin burst through the door a few moments later, and made a straight path to the bedroom that we all shared. He grabbed a black duffle bag and threw a handful of clothes from each drawer into it, along with his jewelry, personal items, and whatever else was there. Caroline and I stood in the door way pleading for him to tell us what had happened, he looked as if he had been in a fight, face scuffed up, blood on his hands. I went up behind him to calm him, as Caroline stood to his front. Unfortunately, Devlin looked at us both, removed our hands from his body, and pushed past us. Caroline started crying and ran after him, questioning what he was doing, where he was going. All he said before opening the door and leaving was, “I don’t love you anymore. I’m out.”
The phrase haunted me for weeks. Watching him turn and shut the door broke both of us bad. Caroline became depressed, and ended up throwing herself into her work, and about two months after Devlin left, she moved out of London. I ended up moving out of the flat, donating most of the furnishings to Salvation Army, and got a small apartment in the north end of London, near Mill Hill. We never heard a word from him. Nothing. His cell phone was disconnected, and no one could, or maybe wouldn’t tell us where he’d gone. Six months after Devlin leaving, my life slipped, until I was now in my current state. The idea that I would see him within the next twenty-four hours was nerve wracking, as was hearing his voice. It hadn’t changed since the last time I’d heard it. I finally shut my eyes and slipped off to sleep. Tomorrow awaited.
“You ready?” I asked Kieran as I finished loading the bags into the Tahoe. It was roughly six o’clock, and we were due at the airport in forty minutes to catch the flight to Heathrow.
“Yup, as I ever will be,” Kieran responded, walking to the back door of the SUV. Marcus barreled out of the front door to the office. He had offered to drive us to the airport, that way the Tahoe wouldn’t be stuck there for the time I was gone. I got into the passenger seat and put on my sunglasses. Marcus hopped in, and we were off. The twenty-minute drive to Logan International Airport felt like an hour. In less than two hours, I’d be on a flight back to London. I didn’t know how to feel about it. All I know is that Aiden was in trouble, major trouble, and if he was in fact hooked up with Ashworth - I might be his only chance of survival. I still didn’t know what he had done, but it was bad if Ashworth was looking to kill him.
“What’s on your mind, my friend?” Marcus asked from the driver’s seat, pulling me from my thoughts. I glanced into the back seat to see if Kieran was paying attention, which he wasn’t - his earphones plugged in.
“Just thinking about what he could have gotten himself into.” I responded. Marcus nodded. There wasn’t anything else that needed to be said. We drove the rest of the way in silence, cliché, I know.
The airport was busy, considering it was seven o’clock. Kieran and I made our way to the British Airways terminal and checked in. Part of me was relieved when the passport passed inspection - every time I used an alias I held my breath. Sloane manufactured them so quickly…or at least, gets them done quickly. Once through security, sans my sidearm, Kieran and I settled into a small bar near our gate. We each grabbed a beer, again sitting in relative silence as I scrolled through emails and sent a message to Mac. Kieran did whatever it was that he did on his own laptop. He was my back-up, my right hand man since Mac was not available. This would have been a job I would have chosen Mac for, but Kieran was my second choice - strong on computer, intel, and anything else I needed, including another shooter.
I had arranged for a delivery to the hotel that would be waiting for us; two .45 caliber sidearms, burner phones, and everything else I would need. I really didn’t know the extremity of the situation we were walking into, and I figured I would get in touch with some of my contacts when I had a better idea. I was hoping that the trouble Aiden had got himself into I could easily get him out of…but I really didn’t have a clue what the fuck he had done.I’d had a call into the head of Kelsey’s father’s security team, Bennett, with no real luck. If anyone could figure out what Ashworth wanted, it would have been him.
I looked next to me, and found Kieran watching a movie - some action flick. I turned my attention back to my own screen, attempting to put any thought of my past out of my head. What the hell was I going to tell him about why I’d left? How the hell was I supposed to confront Ashworth about Aiden, when I hadn’t even atoned for my own sins? With me returning to London, I was putting not only myself in danger, but the lives of all of those I cared about - including Ally. I’d only been safe because no one knew I existed. Devon Walsh had become Devlin Fitzpatrick… other person, another entity, a world away…
The plane landed a just over six hours later, roughly ten in the morning local London time. I had a car service waiting, and Kieran and I were ushered to an hotel on the outskirts of London. I planned on setting up base camp there, so to speak, as I gathered information, contacted the people I needed to. But the first priority was sleep. I hadn’t rested much on the plane, as the anxiety of the situation compounded. I was usually calm, methodical, but today I felt nervous and out of place. We reached the hotel in a short amount of time - it not being too far from Heathrow. I stepped out of the car and breathed in the English air. A feeling of home rushed over me, as I allowed myself to remember all the good that had happened here. I’d missed what I considered my home, after settling in London when I’d turned eighteen - an attempt to rid myself of the life I’d lived in Northern Ireland. It always seemed as if I was running from something. I wasn’t too much of a man to admit it.
“Boss, what’s the plan?” Kieran asked as we settled into the room.
“Sleep, and then some intel gathering. You up for it?” I pulled the package out of my carry-on. I had stuck it in there during check-in. I inspected the sidearms, making sure everything looked good, and pulled out the extra ammo. I loaded the magazine and placed the safety back on. “Here,” I said, handing one to Kieran. “We will probably need these.”
Kieran nodded and took the gun, doing his own double check before placing it under his pillow. “Sleep, food and then we’ll see what information we can uncover.”
“Sounds good.” I walked into the bathroom, carrying one of the burner phones with me, and placed a short message to Kelsey, stating I had landed, and would contact her later in the day. From the information Bennett had provided, Kelsey was starting to take over more responsibility in her father’s business - specifically the Fish Tank; a popular nightclub. I walked back to the main room, undressed and jumped into bed - attempting to gain some sort of strength and energy. I had a feeling that this would not be an easy trip.

I woke up hours later, to the sound of Kieran typing away on his laptop. “What time is it?” I asked, rubbing my eyes.
“Just after two local time. I’ve been doing some research, see what I could pull from my contacts on Ashworth besides what we already know. You know, see what he’s been up to since you left.”
“Anything yet?” I asked, pulling a pair of jeans on.
“Not too much. Drug trafficking, running a couple more clubs than before…but nothing that would explain why he wants your friend so much.” Kieran shut the laptop and got up from the bed. “So, where to now?”
“A little lunch while I make a few calls. I want to scope out these new clubs you found.”
“No problem, boss.”
We got ready, grabbing light coats, iPads, handguns, phones, and anything else we would need. I made a quick call, and had the car service pick us up to drive us into the city. From there, I figured I would rent a car, and we could properly scout out the clubs, and whatever else we uncovered.
An hour later, Kieran and I had eaten, and were sitting in an Italian restaurant while I waited to hear back from one of my contacts that I had called on the way. I wanted to know what was going on with Ashworth, and how the fuck Aiden had got messed up with him. Kieran was still working the security information and intel on his iPad, when my phone began to ring. Picking it up, I cautiously answered.
