“What the hell was that about?” The silence the room offered nearly made his head buzz.
“I was staking my claim.” She smoothed her hand along his stomach. “I wanted to be mad at you.” She rolled to her back. “I wanted to hate you for wanting her.”
He propped his head up on his hand, lying on his side. “So you have sex with me in front of everyone?”
Ella laughed. “Maybe I’m yours, but I had to prove you’re mine.” She turned toward him, pulling her shirt over her head. “Besides, I thought about it and determined you don’t have a reason for wanting another woman. You’ve got a perfect one right here.”
He smiled. “That I do.”
He cupped the side of her face as he leaned in to kiss her. His Ella. He groaned and pushed her to her back, propping himself up over her. He groaned as he pushed inside her again. Rocking her into her slowly, he reached for her arms, pushing them over her head.
Ryker wrapped his lips around one of her stiff nipples as he curled his fingers with hers. He teased the tip with his tongue, drawing a moan from her delectable lips. Her heels dug into his back as he continued to take it slow, drawing their pleasure out.
“I’m the top biker bitch.” Ella squeezed his hands. “You want me and lucky for you, I want you back.”
He lifted his head with a grin. “Is that right?”
“For now.”
He laughed. Withdrawing from her warm body, Ryker shoved back in again, taking his time. He loved the little gasps Ella made when he filled her, the need she had for him growing stronger. The makeup she’d put on had smeared down her face, but she was still the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen.
“Come for me,” he whispered against her lips. “Suck my cock with that hot pussy of yours.”
He reached between them to stroke her clit. Ella’s head dropped back as she arched off the mattress, her pussy contracting around him as he shoved in deep. He loved making her come. Love the soft gasp she made right before her pleasure took her. He loved the way she felt around him when he buried his cock to the hit. He fucking loved how she looked up at him, her eyes bleary from pleasure, smiling as she watched him he took his own.
His hot release took all his energy. He collapsed in her arms, unable to extract himself from her. He didn’t want to let her go. He wanted to keep her like this for the rest of their lives.
“You’re amazing,” she whispered.
He kissed her cheek. “Remember that when I’m pissing you off the next time.”
He rolled to his back, taking her with him. She looked down at him as she straddled his thighs, his cock still buried deep inside her.
“Make me a promise.”
He blew out a breath. “What?”
“The other night I told you about my dream. Promise me you’ll let me live out my fantasy. I want you to fuck me on your motorcycle.”
“I’ve created a monster.”
“Promise me.”
“Right now?” He rubbed his eyes.
“Later. But promise me right now you will.” She pressed soft kisses along his chest, taking the time to tease his flat nipples with her tongue.
He lay back with his arm thrown over his eyes. “I promise. We can do anything you want.”
She smiled with her lips against his stomach. “Would you ever say that to another woman?”
“Not a fucking chance.”
She continued moving lower, dipping her tongue into his navel before nuzzling him. “So I’d be your first fuck on a motorcycle?”
He smiled. “Yep. And it should be a testament as to how much I love you.”
She straddled his hips. “What about the handcuffs?”
“You at my mercy sounds like a fucking good idea. Can I gag you too? Especially after all the bullshit between us for the past few days.”
“You think you’re funny?” She pinned him down. “You’re at my mercy now, big tough motorcycle man. I’d watch it if I were you.”
Ryker smiled. He loved her. What the fuck could he do?
Chapter Five
Ryker sat at the head of the table with a cigarette between his lips. “Things have been going good for us for a while. I don’t think we’re going to make any drastic changes. Each one of us works hard and plays hard. It’s a much easier life when everything goes right.”
“Yeah, but how long will it last?” Superman asked.
Ryker puffed on his cigarette a second before flicking the ashes in the tray next to him. “Where are we with the gun issue? The cops still have that target on our backs.”
“No news from the usual sources,” Vampire commented.
He needed to have another conversation with Pat. The very idea of it made him want to roll his eyes. Ella hadn’t mentioned her father in the past few days, but he could see how run-down she felt. Ryker didn’t help matters any either.
“Well, keep your eyes and ears open. Somebody is pushing these guns. The quicker we get rid of them, the better off we’ll be.” Ryker puffed the last of his cigarette and stamped it out in the ashtray next to him. “And that brings me to my next order of business. Women.”
Vampire laughed.
“I don’t think it was a secret that Beth was here and trying to start something with me.” Ryker brought another cigarette to his lips and lit it. “I’m only going to say it once. Don’t any of you try to come between me and Ella.”
Superman snorted. “I think the message is loud and clear. Ella is badass.”
Ryker smiled. He’d known that long before they ever had. The idea of her prancing around naked in front of everyone was not a good one for him, but he liked that his brothers seemed to understand her in a different way. Superman especially. He wasn’t Ella’s biggest fan. Now, who knew?
“She is. Rizzo was entertained but pissed. Beth is his trophy and I didn’t want it. She tried though.”
“You could have had both,” Rooster said. He shrugged when Ryker looked over at him. “I’m just saying it’s not unheard of.”
“Not an option. Don’t suggest it again.”
He liked coming home to her. She made him look forward to seeing her and spending time with her. There was so much bullshit in his life, but he knew Ella had the power to erase it all. He could sit on the sofa with her in his arms watching some comedy on TV and everything was right with the world.
A knock sounded at the door, and Ryker frowned. Vampire stood to answer it. One of the prospects handed him Ryker’s phone, and Vampire passed it to him.
“Hello?”
“Today is not my day. Who am I kidding? This month is really not my month.” Ella blew out a breath, frustrated. “My car is dead. Can you come pick me up? I think it’s just the battery, but I don’t know. It’s raining too, which is going to suck on the back of your bike.”
He licked his lips. “I’ll be there in a minute. Are you okay for right now?”
“Yeah.” She sniffled.
He didn’t like the hitch in her voice. “What’s wrong?”
“I had someone cuss me out. He made a big scene in the middle of the ER saying he was going to sue me for malpractice.”
He turned away from the men staring at him. “We’ll talk about it when I get there. It’ll be a few minutes so sit tight.”
He could only imagine some blowhard being a complete ass and cussing her out. It didn’t matter what the dickwad thought—there was nothing Ella could do that deserved that.
“It’s just been a really bad, really long day.”
“Let me finish up here, and I’ll come get you. Just sit tight.” Ryker hung up from her and set the phone on the table. “I need to go. Let’s distribute the money and go about business as usual. If anything comes up, call me.”
After they distributed the money, Ryker left, grabbing the keys from the prospect and making his way to the van. He climbed behind the wheel and drove toward the hospital, finding Ella at the ER pavilion waiting for him, drenched. He pulled up and leaned across the van to open the do
or for her.
“Why were you standing outside?”
“I left my keycard in my locker.” She wiped her wet hair from her face. “The hospital got a new security system and they’re working out the bugs. No one is allowed to enter the side entrance except by keycard. If I wanted to get back inside, I have to go through the main entrance around the other side of the building. They said they would fix it by tomorrow. It’s been a pain for the last twelve hours.”
“Today really wasn’t your day, was it?”
After slipping off his leather jacket, he wrapped it around her wet body. Her jaw quivered with the chill of the rain, and he turned the heat up. Ryker drove them home, stopping briefly to get something to eat. Ella curled up on the passenger’s side of the van, wrapped in his jacket. She was asleep by the time they got home.
“Hey.” He smoothed his hands along her thigh. “Wake up, Sleeping Beauty.”
Ella moaned and sat up. “I’m tired.”
“I figured.” Ryker grabbed the food and drinks. “We’re home though. So you can go upstairs and go to sleep.”
She glanced at the bag in his hand. “We stopped for food?”
He smiled. “Yeah. Come on.”
The rain flooded the area around them and both were soaked by the time they made it inside their apartment. Ryker sat the food on the coffee table before pulling his shirt off and tossing it toward the laundry room. Ella kicked off her shoes and hung his jacket on the hall closet doorknob as she went toward their bedroom. A few minutes later, she came back in pajamas.
“Food, then bed.”
She curled up on the couch with the fluffy blanket she favored. He handed her the fast-food dish they’d gotten and sat in the recliner, propping the footrest up.
“My day’s been crappy.” She dipped her fork into the food and took a bite.
Ryker lifted his drink to his lips. “You’re amazing.”
“Tell that to the guy that cussed me out.”
He glanced up. “I can. Give me his address.”
“So you can go beat him up? No. I don’t want him back in my ER.” She took a bite of her food.
He grinned. “There are other hospitals in Atlanta.”
“I should be used to people yelling at me. Everyone hates the ER, and the doctors can never please anyone. They don’t freaking understand I’m not their primary care provider. I’m there to keep them alive. But this guy really got under my skin. I did everything in my power to try and help him, and he blew up at me. The worst part is that he can’t blame it on drugs or alcohol or mental illness. He was completely fine, just a complete asshole.”
Ryker’s phone rang, and he groaned. He pulled it out to see Superman’s number.
“Yeah?” He sat his food on the coffee table.
“We got a situation.” Superman didn’t sound too happy about it. “One of the prospects said that a member was messing around with Young Blood’s women. He said that he thinks that he’s a rat.”
Ryker frowned. “A prospect said that? Who is it? Is there any truth?”
“Mad Dog.”
Ryker sighed. “That’s a big accusation. Please tell me the prospect has some proof?”
“Proof is sketchy.”
Ryker rubbed his eyes. “So you’re telling me I need to come handle it?”
“Yep.”
After blowing out a breath, he said, “I’ll be there in a minute.”
He hung up and glanced over at Ella. She frowned at him but didn’t say anything. He didn’t know what to think about the accusations, but the quicker he handled it, the better it would be for everyone. There was no place for a rat in the club.
“I need to go, but I’ll be back in a little while. You okay? I can drop you off at your parents’ if you don’t want to be alone.”
“I’m okay.” She smiled at him. “Go.”
“Love you, babe.” He kissed her forehead. “I’ll try to make it quick. Get those wet clothes off and put something dry on. Maybe take a bubble bath. It’ll make you feel better.”
She saluted him.
The night was chilly due to the rain, and he worked his way to the club house in the van. After he parked, he got out, ran to the door, and stepped inside the club. A few members crowded around Mad Dog while others seemed to support the prospect. Division was the number-one enemy within a club, and Ryker could already see it taking place.
“What the fuck happened?”
The prospect told him about Mad Dog going to Young Blood and fucking their women. He went on to describe how chummy he’d gotten with Cramer, their leader. He also said that a Young Blood had handed him a shiny gun like the one on the news. Mad Dog defended himself by saying he didn’t do it. He didn’t know who it was, but it wasn’t him.
“Why would he say it was you if it wasn’t?” Ryker asked Mad Dog.
“I don’t know. I didn’t do anything with Young Blood. I have no business with them.”
Ryker glanced over at the prospect. He didn’t think that the man was lying. He was a pretty respectable character. Minded his own business a lot. Seemed loyal. “What were you doing near Young Blood territory?”
The prospect swallowed. “I have girlfriend that lives over there. She’s not part of Young Bloods, but they’re her landlord. I saw Mad Dog ride by her apartment and I followed him.”
Ryker rubbed his forehead. “And you think he’s a rat?”
“They talked a long time and then shook hands.”
“I haven’t seen Cramer since that thing blew up with Razor.”
“You were there. I saw you,” the prospect insisted.
“No, I wasn’t.”
Ryker gestured for them to be silent. “If you don’t have any proof, then there’s nothing I can do. You know the rules. I don’t take anyone’s word for anything. Right now, I’m inclined to believe Mad Dog. As the secretary of the club, he is the hierarchy and it is a pretty bold place for a prospect to make such accusations without anything to back them up.” Ryker stuck out his hand. “I need the cut. I’m not banning you from the Roaming Devils, but you’re not a prospect anymore.”
The prospect stared at him. “But I saw him.”
“And now you know for the next time, use your damn camera phone to take a picture.”
The prospect jerked his cut off. “So what? I’m a hangaround now?”
“If you want.” Ryker tossed the cut to the bar. “I don’t give a shit. You’re just not up for membership anymore. And if there’s any more trouble, I’m not going to be so lenient next time.”
Ryker left the crowd and went to the main meeting room. He grabbed the list of members Mad Dog kept and went over it.
“Do you think he was telling the truth?”
Ryker glanced up at Superman and Vampire standing in the doorway. Both came in the room and closed the door behind them.
“I think they were both telling the truth.” Ryker glanced back at the list. “I think the prospect saw someone, but I don’t think it was Mad Dog.”
“Then who was it?” Vampire asked.
“Good fucking question.”

Ella took a bubble bath. It was the first time she’d actually relaxed in at least two weeks. Lying back against the side of the large tub, she closed her eyes and drifted to sleep. The next time she woke, Ryker was standing over her, pulling the plug on the water before grabbing a towel to wrap her in.
“I fell asleep.”
“I see that.” He lifted her and sat her down so he could dry her body off. “You’re all pruney.”
He tightened the towel around her breasts. Ella wrapped her arms around him, loving how he felt against her. He didn’t say anything as he held her. He pressed his lips to her neck, lightly kissing her.
“I don’t go in until tonight. Can we do something today? Something fun?”
“Like what?” He smoothed his hands along her arms.
“I don’t know.” She laid her cheek against his chest. “I want to get out of the c
ity for a few hours.”
“I can’t leave the city right now.” He kissed her ear. “But we can definitely do something together. Something that involves no clothes and a lot of licking.”
She pushed away. “That’s not what I meant. I want to do something fun. Something that we don’t normally do.”
“Like what?”
“I don’t know.” Ella glanced over at him. “Derek said that Atlanta had this Porsche driving experience. You get to take a Porsche on the track. It sounded fun.”
“You want a Porsche to replace your car?”
Ella cringed. “Crap. I forgot about my car. Never mind. Looks like I get to spend the day at the mechanic’s.”
“We can do both.”
She shook her head. “It’s okay. I need reliable transportation more than driving my dream car around the track.”
“Your dream car?”
“Yeah.” She shrugged. “Thanks to my dad, I developed a love for fast cars.”
Ryker smiled. “I didn’t know this.”
“I’m not as boring as you think.”
“I don’t think you’re boring.” He kissed her cheek. “Stop saying that.”
“I think you do. Sometimes.”
He didn’t say anything, and Ella felt embarrassed about it. He said she never had to do anything for his attention, but she thought she did. She worked and slept; there was very little excitement on a daily basis.
“I can take you to bed and prove you wrong.”
She shrugged.
He stood and wrapped his arm around her waist. “Today, you and me have a date with the bed and then we’re going to get your car fixed. Your next day off, we’re going to do something special. Out of the city.”
She glanced over her shoulder at him. “What are we going to do?”
