He bowed his head. He had planned to kiss my lips, but I backed off, preventing him from kissing me.
CHAPTER 26
Bizak went for a walk back to the party as I stayed in the same place, away from everyone.
I looked at the bonfire in the middle of the courtyard. Fire was friendly. I raised my arms up and energy came out of my hands and immediately it was against fire.
The fire flared up. It had reached two meters in height.
Then there was an explosion. Everyone ran out of the party. They were desperate to find out about the catastrophe.
Bizak saw desperate people in front of him. He ran in the direction of a dark street, going behind them. It was a great time in favor of his hunt. He came walking in front of two girls.
“Are you afraid?” he said going towards the two girls.
“Who are you?” one girl asked as she looked very scared at him.
“I just want to show one thing to you two,” he said and his face became transfigured into a supernatural feature.
The two girls screamed to see the gray eyes and long teeth of the vampire Bizak. They tried to run away from him but Bizak prevented them, using his vampire power. They were neutralized.
He introduced his teeth into their necks, one at a time.
The taste of their fresh blood made him smile.
~~~
I stood in front of the bonfire. The fire was now gone. That moment I thought about all my anger for Eros. I needed to do something to try to discontinue it inside me.
No one was in the place besides me.
Eros came to the spot and saw a girl with her back to him as she was standing in front of the bonfire in her a black dress. He knew he'd meet me there.
So Eros approached me and looked at the ashes on the floor. I felt his steps behind me. I immediately knew it was him, even without looking back and seeing his face. I never needed to do it to know he was next to me. His energy always overcame my atmosphere.
“You caused all this?” He finally asked.
“I destroyed the party,” I said and my eyes were angry fixed on the fire.
“Why did you do it?” he insisted looking in front. Some flames reproduced in his eyes.
“It was because of you.” I stared at him. My heart was bleeding in much bitterness. It looked as if I had fallen in a well full of unhappiness and I didn’t know how to get rid of it to try to find my happy all over again. “I cannot stand it any longer!”
“What?” He asked, furrowing his brow at me. Eros didn’t be familiar with unhappiness inside me. Maybe he would need to open my body with a dagger to see it there.
“I cannot see you with Mirta,” I confessed to him. My voice came along with expression of grief.
“Why do you keep this up? I do not want your love!” His voice was aggressive. His eyes compacted against the orange flames. Perhaps he was seeing me on them.
“The way you cannot love me, I also cannot forget you,” I declared perplexed as I gazed up to his eyes. Eros glanced to a side and scratched his lips.
“You should forget me...your love just makes me ill,” he said after some time.
“What can I do?”
“Forget I exist!” he ordered and gazed up in the direction of the sky.
“You can prevent a love story with me, but you cannot impede me from loving you.” My voice sounded rude to his ears. I was determined to love him even so. My love for him never let me other alternative.
“Valkyrie! Understand...” his voice was delicate though he was a vampire. Now he looked to speak like somebody so human.
“I will never understand!” I screamed, muffling his voice and soon turned my head down.
“Your love is detrimental to me.” He spoke quietly and condensed his lips. Eros was tired of trying to make me comprehended it since my stay on Neptune. I looked being one of those children that had ended up losing their sweet in favor of other.
“Eros I need you.” I held his arm firmly and stared into his eyes. I wanted him to look into mine. He had to see my love completely alive in my eyes. “You are the love of my life.”
But he shook his head negatively at me. All I had said seemed to make no sense to him, no common sense to his existence as a vampire.
“I love you!” I insisted, staring into his fascinating eyes. At that second I felt like kissing him on the lips and feeling his breathing against my mouth.
But unhappily Mirta arrived at the place. She did not like what she saw. Eros and I were near the bonfire. We were so involved in our converse and in our exchange of gazes. For some time it looked so amazing and with no end.
“Eros!” she screamed at his back and remained stopped in her place. Mirta was expecting he could march to her and it was exactly what he did. “I was looking for you.”
Her irritating voice came into our ears.
Eros walked away from me and went on next to my rival. But I perceived that he delayed to stay together with her. It seemed he wanted to be in my company for extensive time.
“What are you doing here?” she asked him, while her right hand touched his chest. Eros was serious and preferred to leave that place.
“Let’s go!” he ordered and held her by the waist. Mirta smiled to one side when she felt his hand touching her body.
They both left the scene, embracing each other.
I remained motionless. I did not want to see the two together. Eros looked back over his shoulder and saw I hadn’t moved. I was motionless, held back by the cowardice of losing him to Mirta.
CHAPTER 27
I was standing on the highest point of a rock. It was an unknown place to me. Near the gloomy sky, a light reflected on my face. It was the full moon's light.
Bats flew over my head, from side to side, in a practiced dance.
My dress wanted to unfasten from my body and follow the accelerating breeze. An owl flew into the air and came against me. It rested on my palm. I was admiring it for a long time as I brought it next to my face. My lips met the owl.
It was submerged by a supernatural energy and it morphed into the human form.
I kissed the frigid lips of the vampire Eros.
My body was shocked by a stunning effect.
I wished that time would not end.
That it could be eternal.
~~~
Opening my eyes, I saw that I had dreamed. I wanted to be asleep into that dream forever, everything seemed so real.
The kiss ... the sensations ... I had never felt before.
Maybe I would never feel them in the real world.
CHAPTER 28
At school, the students only commented about the costume party and also their fancy dresses. Most of them were excited about this event that happened every year there. A cover band of Evanescence would animate the dance. So I figured it would be the best part of the party because it was a mega fan of this band.
Soon I entered the classroom and put my books on my desk, sat in the chair and opened a book with nothing to do. I wanted to stay with my head curved in the direction of it and avoid to dialogue with other students while the first class of the day did not start. The history teacher was late. Many students were praying for him not to attend his job that day and so the first classes would become vacant.
Seconds later, Mirta came to the classroom. She was dressed all in pink, looking like a Barbie who had just come out of the package. She looked happy in shaking her golden hair and began to speak high for me to hear her conversation with her newest friend at school.
“I already rented my costume for the dance! It is beautiful! I looked wonderful!”
He said in elevated voice and looked at me. But I stood reading an excerpt from the book without pretension. Nevertheless, my hearing was paying attention to her annoying voice all the time.
She went on to say while removed a pink bag of her right shoulder.
“Eros will go to the dance with me!”
Mirta smiled at her girlfriend. I lifted my h
ead and looked at them from the corner of the eye. Then my feet forced the floor and a small tremor occurred in the classroom.
The students were frightened by the sudden tremor and many of them ran out of the classroom, for not understanding what was happening there. So I was alone in the room, in full calm.
Mirta and her friend had left the classroom as well.
With my invisible power, I could hold a blue chalk against the walls of the classroom and began to write something.
Once all the students returned to the room and especially Mirta, they saw all the walls of class streaked with blue chalk, simply this sentence.
Traitor! Traitor! Traitor!
Mirta looked at me quite startled by the graffiti. She knew I had done it against her. Soon she began to feel ill, ran out of the room and went to the officer of the principal.
~~~
Minutes later...
I came to the room of deputy director and sat before her desk. She looked at me with great disappointment. The deputy director was wearing a blue school uniform, with a huge badge stating her name and position in the school.
“ Valkyrie, I don't understand.” Put her elbows on the table and stared at my face across her table. “Why have you dirtied the walls of the classroom with chalk? You've always been a great student of this school, saying better, the best student.”
She shook her head.
“Why did you write the word ‘traitor’? Offending your classmate? Mirta arrived almost crying here.”
I stared at her with affront. I also needed to express my defense.
“Mirta is a traitor! She deserves this title.”
The deputy director shook her head again, looking even more confused.
“I do not know what happened between you two to have this silly rivalry. But I do not want this kind of thing to happen again here in this school. And you are warned.”
Her hands moved some papers on the table.
“You are suspended three days from school and talk to your mother that I want to talk to her.”
My forehead wrinkled.
“My mother? I am of legal age! I can respond for my actions.”
She insisted with an aggressive voice.
“I want your mother here in my office tomorrow. Do you understood it?”
~~~
The other day, my mother returned from school, she had finished talking to the deputy director. My mother left her shoulder bag on the living room sofa and walked to the kitchen, grabbed a glass of water and drank it slowly. After that, she came into my bedroom without knocking on the door. She seemed to be upset with me.
“What is happening to you, Valkyrie?”
I pulled the headphones out of my ears and stopped listening to the song 'Thoughtless' from the Evanescence band.
All of my hate can not be found
I will not be drowned
By your thoughtless scheming
You can try to tear me down
Beat me to the ground
I will see you screaming
Thumbing through the pages of my fantasies
Pushing all the mercy down, down, down
I wanna see you try to take a swing at me
Come on, gonna put you on the ground, ground, ground
Why are you trying to make fun of me?
You think it's funny? What the fuck you think it's doing to me?
You take your turn lashing at me
I want you crying with your dirty ass in front of me
All of my hate can not be found
I will not be drowned
By your thoughtless scheming
Now you can try to tear me down
Beat me to the ground
I will see you screaming
Thumbing through the pages of my fantasies
I'm above you, smiling at you, drown, drown, drown
I wanna kill and rape you the way you raped me
And I'll pull the trigger and you're down, down, down
Why are you trying to make fun of me?
You think it's funny? What the fuck you think it's doing to me?
You take your turn lashing out at me
I want you crying with your dirty ass in front of me
All of my hate can not be found
I will not be drowned
By your thoughtless scheming
Now you can try to tear me down
Beat me to the ground
I will see you screaming
All my friends are gone, They Died
They all screamed, and cried
Gonna take you down
Gonna take you down
Gonna take you down
Gonna take you down
All of my hate can not be found
I will not be drowned
By your thoughtless scheming
Now you can try to tear me down
Beat me to the ground
I will see you screaming
Yeah All of my hate can not be found
I will not be drowned
By your thoughtless scheming
Now you can try to tear me down
Beat me to the ground
I will see you screaming
My mother was still standing in the middle of my room with her arms folded at her chest. Her white shirt with black stripes boggled my vision.
“Mom, don’t force me to have any dialogue now. I'm not in the mood to converse.”
I went back to cover my ears with the dark headphones and started listening to the music again. Angry, my mother grew up at me and pulled the headphones out of my ears without my permission. Due to it, I looked down and sat on the bed as it should be.
Thus, ceasing to resist talking to her.
“I knew there was something wrong for you not to attend the school this morning.”
She started talking with disappointment.
“The Director told me you scribbled all the walls and also the ceiling of your classroom! And she does not know how you managed to do all this in such a short time!”
My mother sighed now, trying to find balance in your mind as shaking her head, she soon said me.
“You never made anything wrong at school, Valkyrie. You have always been an excellent student. I have never needed to go into a school officer to hear complaints about you. But today, for the first time, you made me go through this embarrassment.”
She pressed her lower lip and looked away.
I stood looking down. I did not imagine this would disappoint my mother a lot. She would feel so ashamed of her only daughter.
“The worst is that the director advised me for me to take you to a psychologist! Your strange behavior needs medical attention. She thinks you act this way because you grew up without a father.”
I hit my bed mattress with my hands while I was determined in my choice.
“One thing does not justify another, and I will not go to any shit psychologist! Enough! Enough, mother! I made a mistake, yeah! But no one has the right to say that I'm unbalanced! Because I'm not!”
I rose from my bed and walked out of the house. The sunlight bothered my sensitive vampire skin, but at that moment, I was not caring about it. I just wanted to think a bit about my life and be alone for a moment.
There were some things in life that needed to be rethought.
CHAPTER 29
Finally, I met the temporary home of Bizak. He had occupied an abandoned tunnel in the center of the quiet town. The place was dark and there was no one there beyond him. Bizak spent part of his time there, especially during the daytime and at nighttime he always went out to go for a walk by the city.
“You and Eros are champions to manage to live in such eccentric places!”
I looked up and saw the ceiling in a precarious state. A lot of Cobwebs, dust and lack of clarity.
Bizak smiled at me with the color of his hair even more orange, his Black costume helped the environment look darker.
“Vampires don’t need any comfort.” he stared me
in the face. “Just need a safe place to hide and call theirs when it is necessary.”
He looked up and then around and saw all that dark space just free for him. Without having spent a coin to get it.
“This place is protected. No human would dare to come here, as I cannot risk attending a five-star hotel in the city, so I think this place is perfect for my stay here on Earth.”
He smiled with his open arms.
“Do not you think it?”
I looked around and then also supported my hands in my back pockets of my black skirt. I bit my lips and gave him my answer truthfully. Without fear of offending him.
“I prefer the comfort of my humble home.”
Bizak smiled again and pointed his forefinger at me.
“You're a vampire in luck! Your human mother is still alive and can take care of you.”
“If I tell you it's a bit complicated to live with ‘a human mother’. I have doubled the cares for her never suspect anything.”
I looked down.
“I have to lie constantly and that's horrible. I feel an intruder in my own home as if my mother was not worthy of having a monster daughter like me.”
Bizak’s head shook. He laughed at everything and then went back to being controlled.
“Valkyrie, you need to accept your sanguinary species. We are former humans, only that.”
“That's terrible!” I ended up reinforcing.
But then I tried to escape this issue that bothered me a lot. Soon I approached over Bizak and stopped in front of him. I looked at his pale face and saw his pair of supernatural eyes looking at me too.
“I came here to talk about something else.”
The vampire’s eyes shone in the other direction. His lips were almost rewarded with another smile.
