The Contract: Sunshine Page 22

But when he looked at her like that, she felt less pregnant than she was, and more beautiful than she would ever be, and more loved than any one woman deserved.

“Sweetheart, you look dead on your feet.” Yoon placed his hand on her shoulders. One hand caressed its way up to cradle the side of her face as he tilted her head to the side and placed a kiss upon the time mole on the side of her neck. “Hmm...” he sniffed. “You also smell like coconuts and pineapples.”

“You like that lotion do you?”

“All the better to eat off of you, my dear,” he growled bringing forth a giggle and a kick to his stomach from his daughter. “Look at our daughter. She knows daddy’s getting ready to come in there and rock her in her cradle.”

“Oh, you’re so nasty,” she smiled and accepted the kiss he offered to her smiling mouth, liking the way his tongue brushed her bottom lip when he pulled back to look down at her.

“You know you like it,” he said in a sexy low sing-song voice that caused her toes to curl.

She nodded. “You know I do.”

“Your grandmother and mother were on their best behavior today,” he said with a frown. Turning, he clasped her fingers in his and drew her over to the bed. “Surprised the hell out of me.”

“Things have been really good lately,” Sunshine replied. “I think having our son to fuss over bonded them.”

“You mean after we all managed to agree on a name two months after he was born?” He cocked an eyebrow at her. “Your grandmother never gives up. She wanted my son to have the Dupree last name. Can you believe it?”

“Of course I can,” she nodded and pulled the towel from her husband’s lean hips before pushing him back onto the bed and lifting up her blue satin nightgown to straddle his hips. She anchored her knees comfortably into the mattress so she wouldn’t slide off her perch from the awkward extra weight of her belly. “It was sweet of you to compromise and allow us to name him, Dupree Cedric Woo Young.”

“Damn right it was. What kind of first name is Dupree for a Korean boy?” He pursed his lips for a thank you kiss.

“With an African American mommy, don’t forget me. I have a big role in this baby making project too.” Sunshine complied by planting a big kiss to his awaiting lips.

“How can I forget? You’re the best part.”

  “Aww, you’re so damned sweet.”

“And you’re so damned grateful in bed when I am,” he countered and received a playful jab to his ribs.

“Ow...ow...ow...cramp in the calf...cramp in the calf.”

“Better,” he asked, rubbing his hands along her thighs and legs as he sat up and positioned her until they were sitting face to face with her still straddled on his lap.

“Much...much better,” she nibbled at his mouth and kissed him while reaching to the side.

“What are you reaching for?” He asked breaking the kiss.

“You aren’t the only one that likes sweet tasting body parts,” she said swiping the body flavored lotion from the side table.

“Woman, I love you,” he grinned from ear to ear. “You know that?”

“I felt it from the first kiss.”

  “Not possible,” he teased.

  “Is too.”

“I wasn’t even sure myself then,” he argued.

“Your body was.” Her lotion soaked hands crept down between them and wrapped around his erection. “See,” she bent and brushed her nose against his. “It’s just as sure as it was the first time.”

“Well, when the little head does the thinking, the big head just takes direction,” he murmured. Cupping the back of her head, he drew her mouth hungrily to his.

Yoon Woo Young. Her husband. Her best friend. Her lover. Father of her children. Her business partner and everything else all rolled up inside this one good loving honorable man that wore her proudly on his arm everywhere they went as man and wife. No one would ever be able to look at them and guess at their beginning for it had to be perfect of course.

How she got so lucky after what seemed to be a lifetime of bad luck and unhappiness she would never know, but it all began with a contract. She still had that contract and someday when she was being an overbearing mother to her daughter, she would pull it out and tell her the story about the unconventional way her parents came to be together.

  The End

  SHIREE MCCARVER

Shiree McCarver has always been a dreamer of the possibilities of being in love, but somewhat found her reality lacking the romance she always dreamt about. She decided to bring fantasies to life by creating stories of unconditional love with characters that are in it for the long haul no matter what or who hinders the process. It's this process that has her being the first author to write an Elizabethan romance featuring an African woman in an interracial relationship with an English royal. She is also the first author to pen a story about an aging African American woman and a younger Japanese Pop Star in modern day Japan.

Alabama native Shiree McCarver is building a following for her Asian heroes and her ability to go where no one has dared to go before in books featuring characters in an interracial relationship. Being an avid reader of romances, Ms. McCarver decided to write the type of books she felt were missing from the genre.

Ms. McCarver has written beautiful heart touching tales of love and she makes it work in the most seemingly impossible character pairing. No matter who you are, you will be able to relate to the only thing that matters in a true romantic read; the developing love story between the characters.

Shiree loves hearing from her readers!
