She twirled her tongue around the head of his dick before taking him deeper into her mouth. She followed his rhythm, loving all the passionate sounds he made as she pleasured him. Each time she bobbed her head a litter faster, her hand moving in sync up and down his shaft. When she felt his cock pulse against her tongue, feminine confidence filled her. Tane was getting close to climax.
As she drew back to the tip, Shyann suctioned her cheeks in, hoping to add to his pleasure. This time when she sucked him back in, she didn’t stop until the tip of his cock nudged the back of her throat.
“Fuck. So fucking good, sweet.”
She felt his leg trembling and would have smiled if she could have. Instead, she inhaled through her nose and was surprised when the crown of his dick slid down the back of her throat with ease. Shyann swallowed around him before pulling back. As she took him back into her mouth, she caressed her hand up the inside of his thigh and cupped his balls.
“I’m gonna come, sweet. Pull off if you don’t want—”
He gasped when she gently rolled his balls in her hand as she pulled back, making sure to lash the sensitive underside of his cock with her tongue, before taking him back in as far as she could go.
Tane shouted just as his penis twitched and pulsed against her tongue. His cum shot over the back of her tongue and down her throat. Shyann gulped down his salty-sweet seed until he had nothing left. When he tugged on her hair, she extracted his dick from her mouth, giving the head a final lick, before glancing up to meet his eyes.
He was still panting, but there were so many emotions in his gaze, she felt tears stinging the back of hers.
Tane, Raiden, and Brigg were so damn sexy, so damn special, she didn’t ever want to leave them.
When she realized where her thoughts were, she knew she was irrevocably in love with the three Tremaine men.
She knew they all cared for her, too, but caring wasn’t love. She wanted to spend the rest of her life with them, but that wouldn’t happen unless they loved her, too.
* * * *
Shyann was helping Raiden clean up the kitchen after their delicious breakfast of pancakes with maple syrup and bacon. Although, she’d enjoyed yesterday’s and today’s breakfasts, she was going to have to start watching what she ate, or she’d end up gaining weight fast. Maybe she could ask one or all of her men to take her shopping. She’d seen the meagre contents of their fridge. The pantry and freezer weren’t looking much better. They’d been planning to go shopping the day before but had gotten caught up in making love and then the cleaning. Since they’d decided to eat out last night, there hadn’t been any need to worry about finding something to cook for dinner. She wanted to be able to pay for the groceries, her way of contributing to the household, but she wasn’t sure they’d let her.
She had a feeling Raiden would argue with her about it until he was blue in the face. The only way she’d be able to contribute was if she did the shopping after work tomorrow, but she had a feeling she was going to be exhausted. It was going to be a big day since it was the first time the library would be open.
Thankfully, they’d stopped at her place after eating at the diner and she’d packed up some of her clothes. She wouldn’t have to worry about not having anything to wear for work anymore.
When the kitchen was clean, Raiden filled four mugs with freshly brewed coffee. She helped him carry them over to Tane and Brigg who were sitting at the dining room table.
Raiden pulled a chair out for her. “Have a seat, baby.”
She met his gaze briefly and wondered what was going on. He looked and sounded so serious. Her heart flipped in her chest, and her breathing escalated. Had something happened? Did the sheriffs and deputies have news about her stepbrother?
“What’s wrong?” she asked.
“Nothing’s wrong, darlin’.” Brigg caressed a hand over her shoulder.
Tane sucked a breath in between his teeth. “We’re concerned about you working tomorrow.”
Shyann opened her mouth to argue with him, but Raiden placed a finger over her lips. “Don’t get upset, baby. Hear us out before you start arguing. Okay?”
She nodded.
“The deputies and sheriffs have no idea who tried to run you down the other day. Since the truck and license plates were stolen, they might never know. However, we don’t want to leave you alone and vulnerable just in case the fucker has his target aimed your way,” Raiden explained.
“None of us know for sure that it was deliberate. It could have been an accident due to inattention.”
“That’s a possibility, sweetness,” Tane said. “But we aren’t willing to take such a risk. We want to know that you’re protected at all times.”
Shyann got what they were saying, and while she didn’t really believe that the incident had been an accident, she wasn’t sure it was intentional either. For all she knew, the swerving truck could have been aiming for her men. Maybe it hadn’t been about her at all. “Do you have any enemies? Have you pissed someone off enough to target you all?”
“No, baby, we don’t.”
“You can’t know that for certain, Raiden. What if this is because one of your patients died? Grief can do some horrible things to people. For all you know, someone’s wife, husband, mother, or father blames you because of a family member’s death.”
“She’s right.” Brigg frowned.
“We haven’t lost any patients since moving to Slick Rock,” Tane said.
“What if they followed you from where you were before?” Shyann asked.
“It’s possible, but from our experience, most family members are thankful that we tried to help,” Raiden explained.
“That doesn’t mean there isn’t one person out there full of grief and hate directed toward you three. I know it’s not right and you all would have done everything you could, but some people just can’t get beyond the initial anger.”
“Is that what happened to you, darlin’?” Brigg asked.
“No. My anger wasn’t directed toward my mom and stepdad. It was directed toward my stepbrother, but that quickly changed to an all-consuming grief. Danny has no right to be angry at anyone but himself. He’s the reason our parents are dead.”
“Do you have any idea why he’d kill them?” Tane asked.
Shyann shook her head while blinking back the threatening tears. She’d gone over this time and again. To this day she couldn’t understand what had made Danny do such a heinous thing. He’d had everything he’d ever wanted. The only reason she could come up with was the drugs she suspected he was using. “I have no idea.”
“What about money?” Brigg asked.
She frowned before shaking her head again. “If he wanted money, all he had to do was ask Collin, his dad. He would have helped us to pay our bills if necessary. However, he expected us to work to pay our own way. I think if either of us had been desperate for cash he would have loaned it to us.”
“So he wouldn’t have given you a wad of cash?” Raiden asked.
“No. He was the type of man who’d had to work hard to get where he was. He was always telling us there were no free rides in this world, that we got out of it what we put in.”
“He was a wise man,” Tane said.
“He was.”
“Can we get back the previous subject?” Brigg asked.
Raiden and Tane nodded.
“I called our boss yesterday afternoon and put in for vacation leave for all of us,” Raiden explained. “One of us is going to be at the library with you until we know you’re safe.”
Shyann sighed. As much as she appreciated their care, it wasn’t practical. Who knew how long it would be before she could stop looking over her shoulder? Nonetheless, she didn’t think Danny was smart enough to find her. She’d seen madness in his eyes the last time she’d seen him. It was a shock to see him so down and out. His clothes had been wrinkled and dirty. His face was covered in scruff, and he’d smelled strongly of body odor. She’d stared after him when he’d
walked passed her on the street of Athens. As soon as she’d gotten over her shock, she’d chased after him.
The whole time they’d spoken, he’d avoided eye contact. She’d tried to talk him into coming to her apartment, but he’d refused. Then she’d tried talking him into going back home to live with their parents. Again, he’d refused. He’d told her he was fine. That was the biggest lie she’d ever heard. And then he’d met her gaze. She’d never seen such a cold calculating look in his eyes, but then his gaze had turned malicious. He’d asked her if she’d had any spare cash. Even though the money she’d had in her purse had been for paying a bill, she’d handed it over. It hadn’t been much, but she suspected Danny needed it way more than her.
As soon as she’d handed the cash over, he’d it snatched from her before turning away. He’d thrown a “thanks” over his shoulder but kept right on going. She’d tried to talk to her mom and stepfather about him, but they’d been out and about wining and dining clients. Every time she’d called, their phones had gone to voice mail. She’d left several messages asking her mom and or Collin to contact her, but neither of them had.
Shyann wondered if it was her fault they’d been murdered. If only she’d tried harder to reach them. She should have just driven over and waited for them to get home, but she’d been busy herself.
She’d let the normal everyday things get in the way. Now her mom and stepdad were both dead.
“It wasn’t your fault, baby.” Raiden’s voice drew her from her introspection. “If you want to blame someone, blame Danny.”
When Raiden’s words registered, Shyann realized that she’d been speaking her thoughts aloud.
“Raiden’s right, darlin’,” Brigg said. “From what you’ve said I don’t think anything would have stopped your brother from doing what he did. Drugs do horrible things to people’s brains. Each time a person gets high, countless brain cells are killed off. It’s inevitable that they’re affected mentally in some way. It sounds like Danny was, is insane.”
Deep down Shyann knew the men were right and that it wasn’t her fault that Danny had killed their parents, but it was really hard to come to terms with what her stepbrother had done. She didn’t think she’d ever understand why he’d murdered them.
She realized she was going to have to let the guilt and angst go if she was ever going to be truly happy. She had so much to look forward to. The three men sitting so close to her right now had already helped to lessen her grief. They’d brought so much light back into her life. They’d taught her to laugh and love again.
It was time to look forward and stop looking back.
Raiden scooted his chair back, grasped her waist, and lifted her over onto his lap. She sighed as the warmth of his body seeped into hers. She hadn’t noticed how cold she was feeling until he wrapped his arms around her.
“You okay, baby?”
“Yeah. I’m fine.”
“You certainly are, sweetness.” Tane waggled his eyebrows when she met his gaze. She could help but giggle at his playfulness. The anxiety in her gut lessened.
“So, who do you want to go to work with you tomorrow?” Brigg asked.
“I don’t think I’ll be in any danger. It’s likely to be as busy as hell. The place is going to be packed. The fliers that have been sent out weren’t just posted in this town. They were sent all over the county. This is the only library in the area.”
“You’re probably right, baby,” Raiden agreed. “However, we aren’t willing to take the chance of you getting hurt again, or with your life. We need to know you’re safe, Shyann. Please, don’t argue with us about this.”
“For how long, Raiden? You can’t keep taking time off. You’re likely to lose your jobs.”
“That won’t happen, sweetness,” Tane said. “We’ve been working for eighteen months without a break. We have more than enough vacation time owing to us.”
Shyann realized she wasn’t going to win this debate and gave up with a sigh. If they thought she needed protecting, she’d let them do what they felt they needed to do. Nevertheless, she had a terrible feeling that something bad was in the wings.
She hoped she was just being paranoid because of her men’s concerns.
“Okay, you can all watch over me.”
Chapter Fourteen
Raiden breathed a sigh of relief when Shyann acquiesced to their protection while she was working at the library. He hated to make her feel as if she didn’t have any freedom, but he’d rather she be a little pissed at them than end up getting hurt. Again.
He’d never forget the first time he’d seen her all battered and bruised. Just thinking about that day when she’d been out cold filled him with anger and made him feel ill at the same time.
He pushed his disconcerting thoughts aside and just savored having her in his arms, up against his body. She was so small and soft compared to him and his brothers. While she was toned with small muscles from walking everywhere, he loved the contrast between their bodies.
The longer he held her, the harder he got. Even though he wanted to cement the bond between him, his brothers, and her, he wasn’t sure she was up for any more lovemaking.
Raiden groaned with desire when she wriggled on his lap, her ass and hip pressing against his now hard dick. He was so fucking hard his cock was throbbing, and every time she moved he leaked pre-cum.
He frowned and glanced down at her when he heard a muffled sound, trying to work out if she was crying. However, when she moved on his lap again and made the same sound, he realized the little minx was doing it on purpose. Raiden wondered if she was trying to goad him into losing control.
There was only one way to find out. He nudged her gaze up with a knuckle under her chin. A slow smile curved his lips when he saw her stunning blue eyes were hazed over with lust.
Raiden couldn’t have stopped his next move even if he’d tried. He slowly lowered his head, giving her time to stop him or back away, but she leaned up eagerly, meeting him halfway.
As soon as their lips brushed together, he went up in flames. Raiden palmed both of her cheeks between his hands, tilted his head, and deepened the kiss. She whimpered as their tongues glided along each other’s before swirling around. She was so fucking responsive, so fucking passionate, he felt as if he was starving. And he was. He was famished to lick, suck, and taste every inch of her, but he wasn’t sure he’d be able to wait long enough to feast on her sexy body. His cock was aching to be buried balls-deep in her hot, wet cunt.
He firmed his hold on her face when she rose from his lap, hoping to keep her right where she was. Raiden had no idea how she did it, but she maneuvered until she was facing him, both of her legs on either side of his, and sank back down onto his lap. He gasped in a breath through his nose when her hot cunt pressed up against his aching, denim-covered dick.
Raiden broke the kiss, licking and nibbling down the side of her neck. He made sure to scrape his teeth over the erogenous zone just under her ear, before sucking the skin into his mouth. He hoped he’d marked her so that all the single men in town knew who she belonged to. When he realized he was thinking and acting like a caveman, he released her flesh and licked over it. If he’d left a hickey on the side of her neck, she was probably going to read him the riot act. She was going to be meeting and greeting people all day long tomorrow when the new library opened. Hopefully, if he had left a mark she’d be able to cover it with makeup or a scarf. Raiden mentally shrugged because it was too late.
All his thoughts fled when he felt her hands slip up under his T-shirt and caress over his stomach up toward his chest. He held his breath for a second or two when the palms of her hands brushed over his small nipples. When she did it again, he groaned, but when she pinched the small nubs between her fingers and thumbs, he almost whimpered.
Anything, everything she did enflamed his blood to the point he was sure it was about to boil.
She lifted her gaze to his as she skimmed her hands back down over his stomach, the tips of her
fingers following all the ridges and valleys of his cut abs. When she got to the waistband of his jeans, his heart skipped a beat before slamming hard and fast against his sternum.
Shyann scooted back on his thighs, locked gazes with him while undoing his belt. He followed the path of her tongue when she licked her lips as she tugged the button free. She started to lower his zipper, but he grasped her wrist to stop her. Because of the position he was in, if she lowered his zip, he might end up getting skin caught in the teeth and then it would be all over.
“What’s wrong?” Shyann asked.
“Nothing’s wrong, baby,” he answered. “Stand up for a sec.”
Shyann gripped his shoulders as she shoved to her feet. “Oh.” She placed a hand over her heart. “I didn’t even know both of you were there. I didn’t hear you move.”
Brigg cupped her cheek. “You were concentrating on Raiden, darlin’.”
Tane laced his fingers with hers. “Are you still tender from yesterday, sweetness?”
She lowered her gaze when she blushed but shook her head. He wasn’t sure she was being truthful, but he was so fucking hungry for her he didn’t think he could stop. When he had her naked, if she so much as winced, he would be calling a halt to their love making.
Raiden shoved to his feet on the other side of the chair, lowered his zipper, and sighed with relief as the pressure was relieved from his aching dick. “If we make love to you now, baby, we’re all going to make love with you together. Are you ready for that?” He held his breath when Shyann frowned. He was about to explain how they could all be with her at the same time but knew he didn’t have to when her blush deepened.
“I-I…don’t know.”
Brigg grasped her chin. “We’ll go slow, darlin’.”
She swallowed audibly and nodded.
Tane kissed the back of her hand. “If you don’t like anything we do, sweetness, just say stop and we’ll stop.”
She gave him a nervous smile.
“Us making love to you together means a lot to us, baby, but if you aren’t ready, we understand. However, you need to know that if we do this, then you’re ours. You will be our woman from then on. Do you understand, Shyann?”
