The Battle for the Solar System (Complete Trilogy) Page 139

by Sweeney, Stephen

Chaz Koonan vanished immediately after he was released from service. No one knows where he went, only that he is happy. He keeps in touch with his former team-mates at irregular intervals, but never discloses his location. He shared only that he returned to shuttle piloting and that Vanessa moved into journalism, both under assumed identities.

Natalia Grace regained the use of her left eye a month after the war concluded, the eye healing a little better than had been expected, though she required the use of a corrective lens to see properly out of it. Her right eye never recovered, however. She took to wearing a patch over it, making her (in her words) the villain to her former secret agent persona.

I became Mrs Kelly Taylor-Todd on May 21st 2625, marrying Enrique Todd in Italy. We moved to Ireland, to be close to Dodds, Estelle and Natalia, buying a small family home. We now have two twin girls, named Susan and Gemma after the aunts they never had the chance to meet.

Simon Dodds returned to Ireland and to his family’s business after the mop-up completed, starting a small subsidiary of his own to produce and supply cider to the local restaurants, bars and pubs. He took over the main running of the Dodds Orchard after his father retired due to acute arthritis. He became engaged to Natalia Grace directly after leaving the CSN, the two marrying after a relatively short three month engagement. They have three children, two girls and one boy. I’ve never seen anyone smile so much.
