  Georgia smiles. “So we’re partners?”

  “Don’t get all mushy on me now,” Charity says. “You think because I put you to sleep between my thighs, you need to change your Facebook status or something?”

  Georgia’s face goes red. “You remember that?”

  “You didn’t hit my head that hard,” Charity says. “You should probably never tell anyone about that, as incredibly impressive as it was. I’m just glad to have answered the burning question of whether it was possible.” She glances at the bag. “And I’m not giving back the cash.”

  “Duly noted. So what now? New case?”

  Charity snorts. “Today, we celebrate another day of not getting our still-beating hearts ripped out. Put those keys away and go order us a pitcher. It’s five o’clock somewhere.”
