Filthy Lies_An Interracial Erotic Romance Page 17

by Kenya Wright

At times, I got lost in the flow of his words as they danced in the air. How perfect my life had become and only in twenty-four hours. One day had changed everything.

Had I never gone to investigate those notebooks, I would’ve probably woken up to Tyson, still being a coward and wondering if I should break up with him.

  Another hour passed.

I finished washing the dishes around me. “The cake’s finished.”

Logan had taken a break from reading and turned his mission to devouring some of my bowls of batter. “Wow. This is so fucking good. Will you need help with delivering the cake?”

“Yes. It’s heavy, but the design won’t require any on-site assembly.” I grabbed the bowl he had and washed it. “This is it. Thankfully, the couple didn’t want a groom’s cake.”

“What did they decide to do instead?”

“Pastries and chocolates to represent the groom’s cake formed into the symbol for his fraternity.”

“Interesting.” He rose from his seat.

Yawning, I dried off the bowl.

“You’re done.” Logan took the bowl away from me, set it on the counter, and drew me into his arms. “You’ve been on your feet the whole time. Write down the address. I’ll take it over, while you get some rest.”

  “Oh no, I should—”

  “Sleep.”

At that moment, my body agreed, pushing another yawn out of my mouth.

He tenderly grabbed my chin and lifted my view to him. “I promise to be careful.”

“It would be nice to get a little sleep.”

“It would. And trust, it will only be a little, because I’ll be back, and I have some different plans for how to make you moan. I’ve decided I really love that sound.”

Shivers of pleasure fluttered up my spine. “Is this a dream?”

“It damn sure better not be.” He kissed me, and I fell into him, lost in the warmth of his mouth and the promise of delicious tomorrows.

  Epilogue

  Logan

  Six months later

Mia sucked my cock, swallowing the thick length into her mouth.

“Damn, baby.” I could barely keep my gaze on the road as I drove us to the Yellow Brick Road. Every part of me yearned to explode, spurt all over her face like I’d been doing for the past months.

This year had been the best. In many ways, I’d healed from my parents’ death. In other ways, I grew as a man. And it was all due to Mia and the love that she offered to me so freely.

She never once brought any baggage with Tyson into our relationship. I did my best to show her the upmost respect and make sure she’d never have a reason to end it.

Surely, there were other men waiting to take her. When we went out, they stared and watched those curvy hips of hers stroll by. She had most men’s attention, and it made me crazy. If I could, I would’ve kept her locked in my condo, but I couldn’t cage her. She was too independent and more careful after her situation with Tyson.

I wanted to move her sexy ass into my condo two months after our first night having sex. She politely said no, not wanting to rush back into a live-in situation.

But today, I would ask again.

I’d waited patiently for four more months, never bringing it up. Never leaving around any hints about how much I needed her. And I craved her so. Every minute we spent together wasn’t enough. Every weekend she lay in my bed couldn’t satisfy my hunger. Every morning I woke to her made me crazy for her even more.

At this rate, I didn’t just want her to move into my condo, I was willing to put a ring on her finger.

That’ll really scare her. It’ll be too soon.

I pressed on the breaks right at the red light and drowned in the lush sensations of Mia’s mouth on my cock.

How the hell does she think I wouldn’t marry her, after this blow job? I might take her to the jewelry store right now instead of Tyson’s stupid book release.

And then, there was no reason to think about Tyson’s book or the big question of her moving in. Her mouth disrupted all logic.

“Oh, baby.” I closed my eyes and squeezed the steering wheel, not caring if the light had turned green. I sat in that lane, swimming in burning hot pleasure, groaning like a mad man as she sped up her mouth’s movements. “Yes, Mia, baby. Right there. Suck it for me.”

A soft moan left her throat. I knew my baby so well. Knew that her pussy was all wet and creamy just because she was sucking my cock. That was how much she loved blow jobs.

Jesus Christ. How did I get so lucky?

I couldn’t help it. I gripped the back of her hair, slowly guiding her deeper onto my cock, biting my lip the whole time. Lust raged through every pore. I was close to erupting.

  Horns blared behind us.

  Neither of us cared.

“Fuck yeah, Mia.” I rocked my cock into her mouth, slowly losing control, cum threatening through.

  “Hey, asshole!” someone yelled. “Drive!”

“Oh, Mia.” I came hard inside her wet mouth. “Fuck.”

My hot cum filled her, and she sucked it out of my cock like a pro, swallowing it down. My body vibrated. My fucking ears rang.

“Holy shit.” I gritted my teeth and finished coming.

  Another horn blared.

“Damn.” I opened my eyes, blinked, blew out a long breath, and drove through the green light. “Damn, that was a really bad idea that we should do again and again.”

Mia rose and wiped her lips as she leaned back in the passenger seat. “You know what you do to me when you take that big dick out.”

“You shouldn’t have told me how wet you were getting. Because of that, I had to show you how hard I was getting.”

“You started it with the dirty talk.” She wiped her mouth some more. “And the licking this morning.”

“That’s all I did was lick?” I rounded the corner.

“No, you devoured my pussy.” She gazed down at her thighs. “It might not be there anymore.”

“Don’t worry. I’ll check after this event that you’re dragging me to. Why are we going again?”

“Because he said he had something to tell me.”

  “It’ll be bullshit.”

“You’re just mad you didn’t get to break Tyson’s legs.”

“No one’s saying I won’t do it today.”

  “Logan.”

I gritted my teeth. “I’m also annoyed that he’s managed to make a career off his cheating on you.”

She shook her head. “I would rather look at it like Tyson finally found his passion and now he’s no longer living a lie. He’s dealing with his shit. At least, I hope he is.”

I kept the skeptical expression off my face and drove us into the parking garage.

I’d given the notebooks to Karan to give to Tyson and washed my hands of our friendship. I later found out from Karan that Ashley had left town those two weeks because she was pregnant. She’d told Tyson and he’d asked her to get an abortion. Depressed, she’d ended up going to her parents, since she couldn’t go to Mia about it. As far as I knew, she never returned.

Meanwhile, Tyson lived with Karan and slept on his couch. Thirty days later, Karan kicked him out, but he never told me why.

Next thing I knew, a month ago, Tyson sent a big envelope to Mia. Inside, he’d placed an invitation for his novel debut, Filthy Lies, and a large check to her baking class for supplies and field trips.

The shit annoyed me. I knew he wanted her back. He’d been calling her and leaving messages on her phone every month. She never texted or called him back.

I googled the novel and found that he’d self-published the book and had become an overnight success, hitting the New York Times Bestseller’s list right out of the gate. A big publisher had bought the print rights, giving him a six-figure deal.

  So, I bought it.

He’d dedicated the story to Mia. It made me want to finish my promise on breaking his legs. As far as I was concerned, he hadn’t earned the right to ever write
her name in a book again.

Nevertheless, Mia and I checked out the first three chapters and realized we’d read his novel before. Tyson had basically created a novel out of all the escapades from his notebooks. Everything he’d done with Ashley was written between the pages. Thankfully, he’d changed the names.

It all pissed me off. Tyson wasn’t supposed to win after hurting Mia like that. He was supposed to rot in a sewer somewhere like he deserved.

I parked the car, put my cock back in my pants, and zipped it up. “Thank you.”

“Thank you for this morning. I didn’t know a tongue could do that.”

“I didn’t know my tongue could do that either. Your pussy inspired it.”

She smiled. “I hope to bring out more of your creative juices.”

Damn, I’m lucky. How can I even be mad at Tyson?

Silence hit us as we stared at each other. I wondered what ran through her mind. We didn’t talk about the past anymore. We’d been too busy in the beginnings of love—staying up all night on the phone, spending every free minute together, pillow talks from sunset to dawn, and even discussions about the future.

But for me, Tyson’s book launch had brought some of the old feelings back.

  “What’s wrong?” Mia asked.

  “Why did he invite you?”

“He said that he needed to talk to me.” Mia took off her seat belt. “Granted, I’d refused to talk to him anywhere else. He wanted to meet at a restaurant, his place, or mine. I just didn’t want to do it.”

That wouldn’t have happened anyway. He had his chance. He won’t get any other.

She got out of the car, and I did on my end. We both closed the doors at the same time. I walked over to her and grabbed her hand.

“So, now you’re okay with talking to him?”

“You’ll be around and it’s been a while. I’m over him and the situation.” She shrugged. “And who knows what else is up with Ashley. All I know is what Karan told us. Not that I care about her, but I would like to know.”

Mia still cared for Ashley, even though she never talked about it. Maybe Mia wouldn’t want to be Ashley’s friend again, but I bet she wondered about Ashley and whatever decision she made about her baby.

“Come on.” She guided us away. “We don’t want to be late.”

“Oh no. I would hate to miss a chapter.”

  She laughed.

“How are you?” I squeezed her hand as we walked out of the parking garage.

  “I’m fine.”

  “Are you sure?”

She stopped us on the sidewalk. “Logan, these past months have been amazing. I haven’t thought about Tyson since the night I kicked him out. You’ve been my…”

I drew her into my arms and smirked. “Yes? Do go on.”

“You’ve been everything that I’ve ever dreamed about. I’m glad I found the notebooks. If I hadn’t, my dumb ass might’ve still been with Tyson, living a stupid lie.”

“You weren’t stupid for trying to love and trust someone.”

  “I ignored the signs.”

“You played the game of love and lost. Don’t knock yourself down for that.”

She smiled and gazed at me with warmth in her eyes. “But for some reason, when I’m with you, I don’t think I’m going to lose.”

“You won’t.” And then I couldn’t help myself. I just fucking did it. I went in for the kill. “Mia?”

  “Yes?”

  “Move in with me.”

She opened her mouth in shock.

“I know I asked back in the day and scared the shit out of you.”

  “You didn’t.”

“I did.” I kissed her and then leaned away, studying that gorgeous face. “But, I still want you in my bed. I want to see if we can work, and I don’t care how crazy it sounds. And it’s okay if you say no. Just understand that’ll I’ll ask again six months later.”

  She grinned.

  “And six months after that.”

She chuckled. “And how would all my other boyfriends feel about this?”

  I said nothing.

She widened her eyes. “Logan, you know I’m playing.”

  “You’re nervous.”

  “I am.”

  “I won’t hurt you.”

  “You won’t.”

I sighed and took another chance. “I love you, Mia.”

Her eyes watered, but no tears came. “I love you too.”

“Move in with me. I’ve got plans. We can renovate the condo across from me and make it your whole kitchen area. It’ll be your office with all your supplies and state of the art appliances.”

  “Logan—”

  “I’d do anything.”

“You don’t have to do anything. I want to move in.”

A smile spread across my face. “Really?”

“Fuck.” She grinned. “Let’s do it. Let’s just go for it. We’re crazy about each other.”

  “We are.”

“And I like the way you fuck me.”

I groaned. “Yes. That’s always a good reason to move in together. The fucking is always important.”

“Speaking of hot sex, let’s get this over with.” She left my arms. “I’m ready to get back in your bed.”

  “Our bed.”

“Oh God. It will be our bed.”

  “Yes.”

  “Wow.”

I held her hand as we headed to the Yellow Brick Road.

It took us no time to get inside to where the signing was. While Tyson had found success, his novel was no Kingmaker. It wasn’t packed. There were no lines outside.

But a good sized crowd had shown up. Surprisingly, most of them were men.

Tyson stood at the podium, gazing off at the door. He spotted us, waved, and gestured for us to sit down with everyone else. It almost looked like he’d been waiting for Mia to show up.

Don’t push this, man. I’m not happy that I even have to see your face. Behave yourself, and I won’t rearrange it.

I found us two seats. Mia sighed, sat down next to me, and whispered in my ear, “Well…this is going to be awkward as fuck.”

I smirked. “You’re just realizing that?”

She nudged me with her elbow. “Clearly, I hadn’t thought this through.”

Tyson cleared his throat at the microphone. Mia snorted.

“I want to thank everyone that came here today.” He smiled and held his book at the podium. “But, I want to thank someone most of all.”

  Don’t even think about it.

“This book…this moment…is to Mia.” Tyson let out a long breath. “I owe her an apology. I misused her trust and heart. I ruined a good friendship just because I was jealous and insecure…and a whole lot of other things.” I chuckled. “But you know all of that from my novel.”

The crowd hooted. A few clapped in agreement.

“This book was a journey. I lost myself and then I found myself.”

Tyson held the book up. A muscular black man stood on the cover, naked with his hand covering his crotch. The words Filthy Lies was written in lipstick on the man’s chest.

Tyson turned our way. “I want to say I’m sorry to you, Mia. You were a good woman and you didn’t deserve it. Thank you for helping me find myself by not taking my bullshit. If you’d never kicked me out, I wouldn’t be here.”

Mia nervously nodded. What else could she do, give him a thumbs-up?

Tyson shifted into the whole reason for the event. He read the first chapter about July fourth. It even had the parts of Mia falling asleep in my arms, and the kiss that almost happened. We both smiled a little as he retold the memory.

I rested my arm on her chair, letting her know that she had support if this was getting to be too much. She leaned against me, and I heard Tyson stutter over a few words.

There was no way he thought he would be winning Mia back. Karan must’ve told him that Mia and I were together. Mia had flown out with me to Karan’s wedding. It had been a beautiful wee
k of travel and celebrations. Surely, Tyson had seen the thousands of wedding pictures Karan had posted to his Facebook page.

I had no idea if Karan was happy with his marriage or not. The man had become too busy to pick up his phone. Mia imagined he was making non-stop love to his gorgeous wife who’d been quite a catch. Not only was she beautiful, but she was a successful lawyer.

Tyson read on. A few of his fans in the audience grunted or nodded at certain lines as if they were deep poetic thoughts.

Once the reading was over, Tyson leaned into the microphone. “Okay. That’s the end of the reading. Thanks so much for giving me the opportunity to share my words with you.”

People clapped. Tyson walked off the stage. The bookstore’s manager guided everyone upstairs.

  Mia and I remained behind.

Tyson walked up to us. “Mia and Logan, thanks for coming.”

Mia shrugged. “I had to admit that I was wondering what you wanted to talk about.”

  “Well, I wanted to apologize.”

“That’s fine, Tyson, but I’m okay.”

Tyson looked my way. “I see that you’re doing okay.”

Do you have something to say about that?

I wished he would say something stupid. Then it would be perfectly fine to punch him in face.

Mia caught his attention. “What did you want to talk about?”

He scratched his head. “Well…it’s not that I had anything to talk to you about.”

She scrunched her face in confusion. “What do you mean?”

Tyson gestured behind us. “She wanted to talk to you.”

We turned around. Ashley stood there, pregnant and wearing a casual dress. She looked healthy and happy, and the whole time she watched us by the door as if ready to bolt at the slightest sign of violence.

Tyson continued, “I fucked your friendship up, Mia.”

Mia sighed as she stared at Ashley. “You didn’t mess it up by yourself.”

“Ashley and I are trying to work things out. We have a baby on the way now. I have to…at least try and see if I can give our daughter a good family. The sort I never had.”

Mia turned to Tyson. “You’re having a girl?”

He nodded. “Yes. And that was the other thing. Ashley and I wanted to know, if we could name our daughter Mia.”
