ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Bestselling Author Stephany Wallace, published her debut novels Hidden Magic, (Paranormal Romance), and Chasing Time, (Adult Contemporary Romance), in late 2016. However, she has actually been writing since she was about 12 years old.
Thanks to the influence of her Literature Professor who was also a poet, she began to write Poetry, which allowed her passion for writing to grow. Writing songs followed as her love extended to music. An artist, at heart and soul, She enjoys all forms of Art and occasionally indulges in drawing, playing her guitar, singing, and of course writing.
As any die-hard Star Wars and Disney fan would naturally do, she moved to Orlando to be closer to Disney a few years back, where she lives happily ever after with her family.
Shortly after her NPR debut, she won two awards as Best Debut Author 2016, Hidden Magic won the award for Best Debut Novel and her “Oh so #CynfullyDelicious” character Cynwrig Bresall won Best Book Boyfriend From Another Country. Stephany also released Forsaken Souls, a Runes Universe Novella, and has just published the last and fifth book in her Ancient Magic Series, Absolute Magic. So don’t forget to check it out.
She is currently preparing to write Everlasting Kingdom, the third book in her brand new series, The Winter Court Chronicles, with which will be live Jun 15th, 2018. A story of the three princes of the Winter Court, their journey to discover the truth about their past, and conquer extraordinary love.
She has several books in the works for publication in 2018

Everything happened so fast.
I watched in horror as the king’s monkeys began to drag my brother away. It wasn’t just that Father had sent his own son to the dungeons, with orders of flogging, but that it was Kyr he was sentencing.
His perfect fucking son.
The one who had done everything to please his king, he’d even half ruled this kingdom while the Dark King’s fat ass sat on the throne, reveling in his power. I jerked against the guards’ hold, but they had managed to put the magic blocking cuffs on my brothers and I. Time seemed to slow as my mind raced, searching for ways to help him. I cursed, coming up empty, while the flames of the rage coursed through me. If they dared to lock Kyr in a cell, I would destroy the dungeons, and kill anyone who got in my way.
That was a promise.
“She’s not my sister. She’s my fated!” Kyr bellowed, desperate.
I had never seen him that way before. Bracing himself against his captors, he kicked his legs up, hitting the incoming guard on the jaw. Three men struggled to hold Kyr, but it was going to take much more than that to restrain my older brother. Finally getting a good hold of his arm, the men behind him began to drag him away.
“No! Please, my king. Don’t do this,” Avrielle begged, frantic.
It broke my heart to see her that way, and ire traveled through me. I had no idea what was going on here, but one thing was for sure. I was going to kill the fucking bastard who had dared put his hands on Avrielle, restraining her. This wasn’t right. Father had to be lying because I was certain Kyr wasn’t. He would never lie about such a thing. He’d been in love with her for as far as I could remember.
Avrielle, Nyx and I were almost the same age—give or take a few centuries—and although Kyr was two thousand years older than us, he had fallen inexplicably in love with her. Soul crushing, head over heals, googly eyes every time they saw each other, make me want to puke, kind of love. And after all this time, she had opened up to him.
Avrielle was his, and no one deserved her more than Kyr did.
My eyes went to Nyx’s shiny ones and I knew this was killing him. He looked up to our older brother in a way I couldn’t describe, and seeing him like this… we were both powerless to free him. Damn it, where was Kah?
“It’s going to be okay, we’ll get out of here.” I whispered to Nyx as my gaze connected with Avrielle’s, instantly seeing the glint in her eyes change. Blue light encircled her irises.
I silently cursed knowing what she was going to do. I was glad she’d thought of it, but my magic was blocked. I had no way of protecting us against her. In one swift movement, I head butted the guard behind me and landed a back kick to his gut—just to get him far enough from me. Whirling around, I placed my hands over Nyx’s ears and pushed him to the floor.
“Kahina!”
Avrielle yelled—using her Audiokinesis ability—and the air around us filled with sound waves so potent that the floor and walls shook. The next instant, the stained glass windows exploded. Colored crystals flew everywhere, falling on top of me and slashing my arms, while I covered my little brother with my body. I knew my hands couldn’t protect Nyx’s ears enough, but it was better than what I was going through. The sound traveled through my ears implacable, tearing my eardrums and making them bleed. Because of my ability—Extra Sensory Perception—I was extremely susceptible to sound, even when I wasn’t using it.
I was faintly aware of Kah’s arrival, but I was as good as gone. My half lidded gaze followed her steps as muffled grunts of pain reached me, her arms wrapped around Kyr and I knew he’d be safe. My eyes returned to Avrielle a second after Kahina disappeared with my brother. Dizziness tilted my world as the castle shook, and everyone was on the floor weakened by her. I knew it was only a matter of seconds before we passed out.
“Aaah!!”
Avrielle yelled in agony, and I grunted feeling the blood trickle down my neck. Darkness pulled at me, taking me under, but not before I saw the guard behind her drag himself up and hit her on the head, knocking her unconscious.
Yeah, that bastard was going to die too.
I sat upright, gasping for air, while the room spun violently. My stomach lurched but I took a deep breath to calm it, blinking I forced my eyes to focus on my surroundings. Thick, white velvet curtains hung from the windows on my right, a soft contrast to the light stonewall and the artic blue ice veins which spread over its surface. My gaze shifted to the ornate silver, full-length mirror in the corner, next to a white oak desk, and a large chair, which remarkably resembled the Dark King’s throne.
I instantly knew where I was.
My room.
My skin was clammy, and crusted blood stuck to the sides of my neck. I felt the coolness of the gold cuffs around my wrists, just as I realized that I was clinging to something fiercely. To someone. My gaze fell on Nyx, as my hands wrapped around his arm. He slept next to me. I guessed I had clung to him in my need to protect him. Wait, protect him…?
“Shit!” I cursed, getting up and wiping my sweaty palms on my pants. The images of what happened to Kyr and Avrielle rushed back to me, and I marched to the door, swinging it open it. Two guards were stationed outside, not guarding us but impeding us from leaving.
Good luck with that.
My fist shot out and connected with the man’s jaw, taking him by surprise. I gripped his lapels and pulled him into the room, head butting him, then kicked him in the groin, sending him flying backwards. He crashed against my armoire and fell to the floor, cupping his jewels. The second man launched at me. I ducked and turned, ending up behind him. I hooked my arms around his neck and kneed his back, forcing him to the ground.
“You should have thought long and hard before going against the Princes of the Winter Court.” The man’s eyes widened as I pulled his head back, tightening my grip. “Where is Av
rielle?”
He coughed, his hands desperately trying to get me off of him. “I don’t know,” he rasped, writhing under me.
“My brother, Kyr, taught me how to fight. Do you know what that means?” The man’s red face focused on me, his eyes were bulging out. “I don’t need to use my abilities to kill you. So, you are going to tell me where my father sent Avrielle, or your life ends right now,” I whispered in his ear, venom dripping from each word.
“I think…” he gasped. “Dungeons.”
Oh hell no.
My fist connected with his face, knocking him unconscious. I turned to the other man but he seemed to have passed out from the pain.
I closed the door and grabbed the curtain ties to bind the guards’ hands and ankles, then rushed to the bed. Nyx was still unconscious. My hand slightly slapped his face and his eyes fluttered open. He coughed as I helped him sit up.
“What happened, where is Kyr?” He asked, anxious.
“Kyr is safe. I don’t know where Kah took him but I know he’s safe. Avrielle is the one that needs us. The guard said she might be in a cell.” My words prompted Nyx’s gaze to fall on the tied men that lay on the floor, next to the window.
“If they touched a hair on her head…”
I nodded, pulling him off the bed and handing him his glasses, which had been set on the night table. “I know. We need to go get her, but before we do, we have to find a way to take these fucking things off.” I lifted my wrists, showing the blocking cuffs to him. He seemed so confused. “Do you remember what happened?”
He nodded, looking down at the energy deterring bracelets on his hands. They glowed gold, one on each wrist, like so many prisoners Father had captured over the years. He hadn’t even blinked before placing them on his sons.
I grabbed a hand towel and dipped it into the water basin, cleaning the dry blood from Nyx’s ears and neck, then mine. “Hey,” I called Nyx’s attention back to me. “Are you okay? How do you feel?” He shrugged, looking out the window. I sighed. “Everything is going to be fine, brother. Kyr is okay, and we can handle this.”
Nyx nodded, fixing his glasses. “Let’s go get Avrielle.”
