Each day, he would go and ask if she was ready to marry him and, each day, she would lunge at the bars, cursing him.
Over the period of three weeks, little by little, her will had been weakened until, finally, she submitted to Ricardo’s demand.
He had made certain to keep her out of the general prison population. He also made it known that there would be consequences if anyone so much as touched her.
His men knew that Ricardo had a sadistic streak and none of them wanted to be on the receiving end of it.
Needless to say, Juanita was guarded with the lives of those who watched over her. No guard wanted to suffer the wrath of Ricardo.
Everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief when she finally agreed to join Ricardo in his mansion. Let someone else have the responsibility of watching over the trouble making American.
It was settled. Juanita would stay with Ricardo and Roxanne would be sent to his little brother, Antonio Wayne.
This was Roxanne’s story and my story is in the book entitled, ‘Rubia.’
Rubia is available on Amazon.
Rubia falls under the ‘Dark Romance’ genre.
