Kanade was the first to mentally speak, though her power was far less than some of the others, extremely less than the sun-eyed man with shock white hair, beard and a white toga that did nothing to hide his godly physique. “Darlin’, that is Spirit King Armid!” her mental voice was beyond surprised and scared. “The one with blue moons for eyes is Fate in his true form. The buxom woman behind him is his wife Death. That is Dream, Armid’s wife and The Spirit Queen and… Darlin, they are all the beings of Order.”
“You’re Armid?” Ethan’s eyes narrowed and in his mind his unique power took shape. From the expression of the other beings they were downright terrified as Armid couldn’t boast to be half Ethan’s size. As he took false shape before them though his body remained where it was on Blue Angel Isle, Ethan could tell Armid was a fire type too so the man was likely to be fireproof as well. Nevertheless, Armid’s mental voice sounded confident. “I am! You abomination!”
“Name calling?” Ethan’s real eyebrow raised and must have been translated through time and space itself to the avatar. “Really? How much more pathetic can you get… so you were the one to send the kill squad after me… you’re afraid…. No… Terrified?” Ethan had a puzzled expression as his much more powerful mental capacity sped through the conscience of Armid and all the others, learning nearly everything about them and couldn’t be halted, not with surprise on his side.
“STOP STEALING MY THOUGHTS!” Armid yelled with outrage and swung his sword again.
This time, Ethan’s mental avatar held still and the mental impact was more like getting struck by a tree branch slapping against his arm that didn’t move. It stung quite a bit, but the power translated through Ethan to be capable to destroy an entire galaxy. Ethan realized with anger that he just saved the entire Milky Way Galaxy from Armid’s hatred. To really unsettle the other beings, Ethan merely rubbed his hand over his forearm to say “Now I’m beginning to get the picture… You are completely terrified of me… I can feel it… you aren’t a match for me and you’re afraid I’ll…”
Livid could scarcely cover the look on the Spirit King’s face as he couldn’t see an end to the power of the Ifrit before him and his army. Still he ordered “ATTACK!”
Without hesitation every weapon and known lethal Order spell was sent. The stings erupted all over his body, but Ethan didn’t feel the need to defend himself with fire though it would have been too easy. Kanade was slack jawed as her real eyes looked upon his real body under intense concentration. Narrowed eyes, locked jaw, tensed muscles and partially spread wings. It was a sign she knew by heart. He was under the focus of cold rage. She was also protected, right behind the power he created far from where their true bodies actually were. More tears in reality made both Spirit and Demon World be viewed as the attack commenced. Ethan felt their desperation and fear as they could not inflict any real harm to his power as a greater celestial being. Luckily, they didn’t realize Ethan instantly transported them all to the far edge of space where none were in any danger of being hurt.
Having had enough, Ethan’s real hand began to brighten with the coming of a spell on a magnitude that made the attackers pause. His hand punched the center of a layered symbol and instantly violet ropes bound each and every Order being. “Enough!” He billowed and surprised struggling halted them all at being bound simultaneously and completely. The spell was unique, one Ethan understood on a level that cannot be accounted for. It was beyond mortal understanding. “Haven’t you dumbasses figured it out yet! If I wanted to destroy you, I know I can after meeting you and can understand the differences in power from what I was. I can understand fear of the unknown, something all of you must have forgotten before becoming what you are. I can tell only seven of you were never born mortal. Now, I don’t care about a fucking prophecy. Never put stock in superstition.” He told the floating beings glowing in the emptiness of space, many who had to be gagged were forced to listen. “Fate, of all people, I thought you would know I don’t hurt anyone unless provoked or to eliminate killers who have it coming.” Blue spiraling moons couldn’t hold his gaze. “I’m not a murderer like all of you just tried to kill me, my angel and my galaxy. You would have killed trillions of innocents because you were being of a better word, IDIOTS!” Many now couldn’t hold his gaze. Only Armid and a dozen or so were still staring murderously. “If any thought to see me for who I am, rather than what I am, you could have not ended up like her.”
Eyes turned to a veiled woman standing far away wearing what seemed to be a wedding dress, but was functional and beautiful rather than ceremonial. If Ethan thought Armid and the others were shocked before, it was nothing to seeing this woman with the thin veil barely hiding what looked to be a beautiful, petite face. Oddly, she gave off no discernible power. Her mental voice was somehow even softer than Kanade’s. “It has come to pass. Ethan Volorum, Demon and Spirit, I am Time. After fifty eight billion years you have come to save and destroy, just as I and End…”
A deep male voice hissed to continue her words and heads turned to a great serpent beyond measure that appeared suddenly, like a cobra with all consuming red flames lighting the pale hood. Its body had no end anyone could follow. “foretold you would be unlike any before you. Time and I…” No power could be sensed from either of the most ancient of all beings, like they were something else completely different from the rest of them.
“knew the first energy would only come for one who was worthy.” She continued calmly while End, the endless serpent, seemed used to speaking as one, alternating their words. “None can contain or…”
“stand against the Uniter. By his whims will he rule with fair justice or burning wrath. To guide the Uniter…” The snake stopped hissing exactly as Time went on. “is his saving grace in the form of Kanade Volorum, the mate who first holds his heart as well as others soon to love her.”
Both Time and End turned their ageless gaze upon Kanade peeking over her man’s giant avatar and spoke as if one voice in the darkness of space. “Your love will guide his decisions. When more come to your bed only together and alone will they sway his true influence or affect his choices. Through you and them shall life flourish for all races with your love, or your hate will destroy. But should harmony find balance in you it will lead to the path none have seen since the First. From the most hated will salvation be found by you. Resist the charms of new mates, you will lose your love. Together, it will be they whom save.
“Harmony, shall lead beyond ALL!”
The finality of their words were punctuated by Time and End’s disappearance.
‘Haaa!’ Ethan sighed loudly. “Great, more questions.” Then came a mental eye roll. “Well you heard them, Assholes. Don’t piss me off!” Ethan snapped his fingers and the bindings around the others vanished, all but for two individuals. Ethan’s glowing crimson eyes bore into the Spirit King’s and Fate’s pale expressions. “The rest of you will get the fuck out of my face if you know what’s good for you.” He growled and looked down at his ethereal image of hooves. “You two on the other hand had full knowledge of me and still had me ordered to be killed regardless. I must say, it was damn close. You sent Enforcers with connection to Kanade to unsettle her and have her killed too. I read both of you. She was to be executed after me so you could hide the fact she had Demon blood from me… changing her too. You both wanted to bury it before it became public knowledge. Well… Guess. The. Fuck. What! You failed and I’m going to expose you two for the benevolent hypocrites you are. Had I a guarantee to be left alone, I would have simply left you to go about your lives. But you took away Kanade’s family knowingly sending Megann. Armid, you still want to kill me after seeing Time for the first time since you became conscious billions of years ago. You took away my angel’s parents because you were scared of me.” No one left, all were too shocked by everything to contemplate it. Death and Dream stayed for their husbands being sentenced. “You made her a traitor. You stole all the honest love she had for them. She is more pure than either of
you. I know you two serve a function so I’m not going to kill you.”
Relief swept like a gust of wind on a hot day. Even for Fate and the Spirit King. That is till they saw Ethan’s fist creating a new spell neither could comprehend. Their bindings were impossible to escape, needing someone with dual energy. Only one alive had such ability. Ethan’s real lips moved along with his mind. “But, for your actions I curse you forever from taking any form of action against Myself.” He punctuated his words with the spell over ten feet from the ground and shaped much like a violet kite shield made of neon lights. The spell seared into both Fate and the Spirit King’s chest with no remorse. “Kanade.” The burn flared grey on their chests with each additional condition and they screamed painfully through their noses. “Anyone on Earth who knows and associates with us. You will order all forms of attack on us to be illegal except in self defense. Any rouge attackers from Spirit World will not be praised, but be sent indefinitely into Torment or destroyed. You will make damn sure you keep your dogs on a leash or I will curse you to suffer forever should you fail these conditions. You will make sure Spirit World stays out of my and Kanade’s affairs from this moment forth and treat us with respect. Any breaches willingly known about and left unpunished will destroy your mind till I see fit to put you back together. And should any of your servants come for our heads, be warned, I’ll not hesitate to defend myself, Kanade and the ones I care for.” This final curse was brightest of all and had both giant men scream uninhibited.
He snapped his fingers and both Fate and the Spirit King clutched their chests and fought not to scream anymore. Long has it been since either felt any pain the likes cursed upon them.
Like the cowards they were, both men vanished like Time and End already had.
One by one the other celestial Order beings disappeared back to their own areas.
Just as instantly, Ethan’s awareness snapped back into his own body that trembled with anger, confusion and fear. “Ho… Shit!”
“You can say that again.” Kanade spoke in barely a whisper as her gaze stayed on him as his hands clutched the open windowsill. His eyes stayed closed and she couldn’t stop from embracing him. “You were wonderful.”
“No… I wasn’t.”
“I beg to differ.” Panther said as he leaned comfortably in the doorframe. “I saw it all and you let Armid and Fate off more easily than I would. We’ve fought plenty of times, but never had I seen anyone stand against all of Order’s heavy hitters… is how I think you say it.”
Ethan simply nodded. “How long was I occupied?”
“Less than four seconds.” Panther revealed non-comically.
“FOUR SECONDS!” Ethan and Kanade yelled together in surprise.
Panther’s thick teeth pulled back in a lazy grin. “But of course. Beings of our caste battle on a different level where time comes close to a stop. I could only watch. My mind is all that could follow you both. My energy couldn’t manifest shape like yours did, nor could it have withstood Armid’s Nova Sword’s Slash. And I’ve never had the privilege to witness Time and End. I thought them fiction. Neither had been truly seen since Master Zagan and Armid heard the prophecy. It was a true honor.” Panther’s burning blue eyes closed as if still basking in their presence.
“So you heard them speak of my role?” asked Kanade timidly, twisting a lock of hair around her finger. Panther dropped his feline chin. “Why are you so calm?”
“Mistress Kanade, their words do not change my view of you. Even had the two ancients said you would be the ruin of all, I would not destroy you without Ethan’s orders, which he would never give.” He added hastily as the Ifrit began a low rumble. “I am Balam. We live and serve our masters and mistresses no matter what we want. Personally, I can’t see you becoming callous anytime soon. If you can so easily let your attackers go, family or not, your kindness is absolute.”
“You’re wrong.” She looked down. “I wanted to hurt Mo… Valande. Really hurt her. Want her dead even… but my bindin’s stopped me. I wanted to curse her, but I can do only harmless curses.” Kanade sadly revealed. “I’m worried I will either make a horrible mistake and regret if I influence you…” She gazed up at her angel who showed sympathy. “and you destroy life. And who will join our bed? I don’t want… Dammit, who would try takin’ you from me?... I felt your power clearly against them. I doubt any are as powerful as…”
“About sixteen thousand Demons actually stand a chance working together can pose a threat, but they hate one another with a passion.” Clarified the Balam general. Kanade’s eyes bugged. “Mistress, Chaos is much older than Order. And we grow stronger the older we live. Your sheltered time neglected study of demonic evolution and how our kind grows stronger even after becoming celestial. It is extremely slow though. Since my own ascension each thousand years I’ve only become a single stride faster if timed on a marked path. If I survive another millennia I’ll likely be another stride swifter. But none to my knowledge were initially more powerful than you now are, Mistress. Certainly none became with the power you have, so soon.” Panther directed the last part to his master.
“I need some alone time.” Suddenly Kanade said. “No, Darlin’, you won’t leave my mind ever again. I won’t allow it.” She figuratively put her foot down. He smiled and unwrapped his red tail from around her waist to part bodies. She couldn’t hold back a soft whimper from the loss of touch, but didn’t ask for it back immediately. “Can you send in Dress?”
“Sure, but is what the two old bats say true? You’re taking my name.”
Teeth worried her bottom lip. “Yes, better than carryin’ the stain of my original. I’m glad you caught they called me Kanade Volorum. I decided it privately a moment before both Time and End turned to me and told me I’m basically the trigger for your gun’s aim and we got… never mind.”
“Good thing I’ve got a long barrel for accuracy.” quipped the Ifrit and enjoyed it as her eyes dropped to his dong and make the corners of her mouth turn up.
All she could do was admit it with a sultry look that brought her for a few moments from worry. “That you do. Now you’re too BIG for anyone other than me to make love to. And before you sidetrack me I need my measurin’ rope.” Kanade reached up and found the rope up with the swimming gear. It was a simple nylon braid, white with hundreds of measuring lines. “Hold still.” She said with a bit more cheer as ideas started popping up.
Kanade dropped to a knee and wrapped the measuring rope around his waistline, how far the line would need to be from the tail, from waist to hip, circumference of each thick thigh. Then she grinned and made sure Panther stepped out, which he did to go find Dress who was still keeping watch outside. Then measuring his member she giggled “My livin’ vibrator is twenty nine and a half inches long and a shade over seven thick.”
“Over to two feet long!?” Said Ethan who could barely believe it.
“Now you see why I’m so happy?” She got to her feet. “We’ll measure more later when it’s stiff.” Came the not too subtle hint. “Now get goin’.”
“Well hot damn! Look at that meat-stick!” Crowed the surprised cabinet with a depraved grin. “Damn, Girl, no wonder you scream bloody murder.” Dress laughed. “If only my boyfriend knew what I was thinking… Hell, he’d probably beat me to it.”
“With that, I’m out of here.” Rushed out of Ethan who skirted around the closet laughing deeply. But just as soon as Ethan stepped outside he realized something almost straight away and turned around with a furrowed brow.
The rustic bungalow hadn’t changed outside at all except the door was much taller. There was no sign of dirt, grass or rock pushed away from the expansion he knew his love did last night before going at it all night long.
To check suspicions, Ethan walked back to the entrance and looked inside to find the assumption confirmed. The outside was relatively unchanged, but inside was room enough for two cabins with another half’s worth above. To make sure he asked “Did you stretch space like Merl
in and Morgane’s bedroom?”
“Better believe it, Darlin.” Said the celestial Spirit Guide who hopped up into the hammock as if it were a suspended chair, feet dangling and naked was hard to resist. “Now get out, I’m busy.” She snapped her fingers and the door closed in his face. They each had a light laugh.
Turning around stoically stood Panther, awaiting instructions on what is to happen next. “Can we discuss what Time and End said?”
“You need only ask.” Panther said and walked with his master to the cliff and sat down several feet away. Both looked at the devastation of yesterday, but made no comment. Thankfully the rain washed away all the gore. “Where would you prefer to begin?”
“I get the part of ‘save and destroy’ being my choices, but I don’t get when Time said ‘worthy’. She was cryptic. What does being worthy have to do with it?”
“I can only speculate, but…”
“Give me a likely theory. You’ve lived a long time.”
“Indeed I have.” Panther enjoyed the morning breeze caress his sleek coat. “You are the first successful being who can live with Demon and Spirit energy. There have been missions your ancestor sent me on in which a Shaman tried fusing a soul in a variety of Demons from plants to parasites to prey to predator, but something was missing… at least it seemed to me like that. I cannot remember it all since the last I heard of was over a millennia ago. The closest success was a Shaman doing it to a Kelpie, but it went mad and on a rampage till Master Zagan ended its misery. It seemed impossible till now. Master must have found a way to use his seed to let a Spirit Energy being gradually accept Demon.”
“But Kanade told me Fate’s touch stops blending of a species.” Ethan said.
“Indeed it is true, but Fate’s touch cannot rule those stronger than him. My master’s seed was immune.” Panther boasted proudly and made his whisker’s twitch. “But he never confided in me he coupled with a human or some other mortal that bred into a human line that produced you. I wish not to speculate on private affairs, but even my understanding is Ifrit mating is deadly. Mistress Kanade can attest. Nonetheless here you are after many generations.” Ethan could only nod.
